Name: Sion
Class: Mercenary
Dragon Element: Water
Age: 19
Born in: Santaruz, Lycia
Appearance: Standing at 5'2" and weighing at 110 pounds, Sion has a slim yet toned build, and despite her small size, she actually packs quite a punch. Often seen with a cheerful smile on her face, Sion is quite recognizable with her dark blue armor and light blue tunic underneath with short skirt. Her blue hair is fashioned into an elegant bun, which is tied up with a red ribbon.
Due to her sword training, she has a toned physique, though this is not really apparent due to her wearing her armor. Also, right on her back, there is an old scar which she got when she was struck down by a bandit. The wound had healed, though the scar remains, and it can sometimes ache, especially during cold weather.
Personality: Sion has a rather cheerful personality, always looking at the bright side of life and not allowing any kind of setbacks to ruin her days. She will make sure that she will never give up against any kind of obstacles, and she will face anything with loud and boisterous conviction. She also admires those who have made names for themselves in the annals of history, those who have become heroes through the merit of their might and strength of character. She often hopes that one day, she will become a great hero just like them.
But, underneath her cheerfulness, Sion also hides quite a darkness within her. After her mother was killed by a bandit, and being struck down by a bandit herself, Sion has developed a very strong hatred towards bandits and outlaws, and those she deems as villains who are willing to harm others for the sake of personal gains will forever receive her enmity. She will never hesitate to cut down these villains, hoping to one day eradicate banditry from Elibe itself.
History: Sion was born in a humble village in Santarus, Lycia. While her mother was a common villager, her father was a travelling mercenary. She spent most of her youth training under her father in swordsmanship, though when she was at the age of thirteen, her father disappeared without trace. Many believed that her father was killed in action while doing mercenary works, while others believed that he simply disappeared and lived under a different name. But Sion never lost hope, and she often prayed that one day, her father would eventually return home.
When she was fifteen years old, a sudden bandit attack occurred at her village, and due to the village having no men capable of bearing arms, many of the villagers were slaughtered by the bandits. One of them was Sion's mother, and Sion herself almost died after being struck down by a bandit's axe, leaving a horrible scar on her back. While the bandits were eventually dispatched by knights, the village was left in a brink of ruins, with many dead. While the village eventually recovered from this, nothing was the same anymore for Sion.
Steeling her resolve and hoping to make the world a better place, Sion continued her training after recovering from her wound. She was determined to follow her father's footstep to become a mercenary, and after picking up some sword techniques from the passing knights, Sion decided to leave the village. But first, she paid her respect to her departed mother, promising that she would return home one day, bringing glory to her name. After properly equipping herself with everything important, Sion left her village, making her way to an uncertain future, though she was determined to make the best of it.
NPC fight: Sion unsheathed her sword and brought her shield up, cautiously watching the two men before her who had their weapons ready in their hands. She had no trouble fighting multiple enemies at once before, but in a crowded place full with innocents, she couldn't help but feel trepidation. She was afraid that these people might get themselves hurt as she dealt with these villains.
"So... would you mind if we do this somewhere less crowded?" Sion tried to test her luck, hoping that these men were willing to negotiate, their murderous tendency aside.
Of course, these men responded by immediately charging at her at once, and Sion groaned inwardly, cursing her luck before she brought her shield up, blocking an incoming axe attack with it.
As she blocked the axe, another one came from her side, and Sion brought her sword, parrying the incoming axe attack with the flat side of her blade. She gritted her teeth, feeling her arms ache under the force of their attacks, but she didn't falter. Pushing their axes with her shield an sword, Sion ducked as she then used her shield to hit right at one of the men's face, staggering him.
"Gahh!!" The bandit cried out, losing his footing. Sion took advantage of this as she then attempted to deal a finishing blow on him, stabbing him right at his throat. "Hrkhh!!!" Her sword protruded out of the back of his neck, and with one swift motion, she then pulled out her sword, and blood spurted out of his wounds before he fell down.
"You bitch!!" Another one of the bandits tried to attack her from behind, and Sion ducked under his axe attack. In response, she stabbed him through his stomach, and the man didn't even realize it until she pulled out her sword. "Hurkkhh..."
"Phew..." Sighing in relief, Sion stood over the dead bodies of the men who tried to kill her in the middle of a busy crowd. There were people watching, and she sheepishly scratched the back of her head before saying, "H-hehe... s-sorry about the mess..."
PC fight: Sion eyed the warrior before her carefully, knowing that whoever they were, they were not to be trifled with. She wasn't even sure if she could walk out of this fight alive. She had seen them fight before, and they certainly weren't one of those weaklings who she could dispatch easily. Brandishing her sword, Sion pointed her weapon at her opponent, her voice grim and serious.
"Very well. I accept your challenge..." Sion said. "I lament the fact that this will be a battle to death, but if you wish for only one of us to walk out of this battle alive, then so be it." Bringing her shield up, Sion prepared herself for the fight.
Silently, she prayed that she could walk out of this alive, and prayed for whoever would die at the end of it. She put her life on the line for this, and she accepted it without regret.
"Now, brace yourself!"
Sion charged towards her opponent, planning to slam her shield right into their face, hoping to stun them so that she could finish them off in an instant. While she was aware that it might not work, she had to try regardless.
