A nintendo event is when nintendo people come to an area and give out special stuff to Pokémon players, like that map. In other words, you have to know when, and where the event is going to be, and hope you can get there so you can get the special event thing or you'll be out of luck. I'm not to keen on the idea of having to go to these events to get every single type of Pokémon, but what can you do... besides cheat that is.

How is it fair for you not to be able to get Mew, while those in Japan can get it by walking a block from their house? Does THAT seem fair for you too?

Well you have to think about this, in Japan Pokemon is popular and it's not concidered a kid thing. Here they call almost everything Nintendo kiddy without playing it. That's why I don't like the US sometimes. Stupid people like that.

Events outside of Japan are few and far inbetween. And only in Europe and the US(maybe not even in Europe).

Yes, alothough im my school, there are a lot of people who play pokemon secretly (high School)
Maybe if people didnt act like that here, we would get more cool stuff. The same goes for the other fire emblem games.

actually, I got my mew on 9/30/06 for one of those Toys R Us events. I waited in line for 8 hours to get a mew without the map, and my where I found it area says "at a chance encounter at toys r us" ...seriously. Also, Rockefeller center seems to have an event going on every other week at that Nintendo store thing

So did I, but I was working, and I couldn't find my games, or an Advance system, or a link cable... until the day AFTER. That's when I happened across them all.
