Check out this YT vid of what the game is like.
Good video, the Starlight animation was most awe inspiring of the rest. Quite nice as it has Wifi connection battles and that it is nice that they have the heal animation just like the original FE game.

Here are the differences....
Well, there are good points in this game that I've noticed which are...
-If you attack an enemy unit that is recruitible, the song will be played whenever that you lose a unit. -The game has a preperations menu. -You can buy weapons/staves at the storage, like you could in FE6. -With any new character that you can recruit, you can get them to talk to certain characters afterwards that normally you couldn't do in the other two versions. -The gold earnings are the same as in the NES game, I'm just getting this gut feeling that the arenas have no exit in this game. -For starters, they have shortened the battle in Chapter 17.
-You cannot skip through the dialogue.
-The secret shop in Chapter 17 does not sell Reblow Wands.
-All promotion items have been changed into Master Proofs, which can be used to promote any character.
-You cannot discard Weapons and items.
-Whatever character that you submit to the fort in one of the prologue chapters is gone for good.
-The Harmain Staff has more uses than in the SNES version.
-To get to the gaiden chapters is insane, you have to only be left with 15 characters or less and that you cannot recruit Chiki to get to Chapter 24X gaiden. The question is...do you have your heart set on doing that. I don't.
-You cannot buy unlimited things in certain shops (mostly secret shops). Means that you only can buy up to three of the items in the stores.
-In chapter 23, you can only buy three promotional items.
-Marth and Julian still cannot promote.
-There are different soundtracks in the game in certain chapters, not the same repetitive music in every chapter that you have to mute the effing game. I use the Harmain Staff to repair the Reserve staves. You have to repair the 2 Libro staves, as you won't be getting anymore after two, cuz lol I've just found out that no shop sells any.
-Whatever spoils that you get from the enemies after defeating them will be used up the amount of times that the foe has used the weapon on you. Like for example if the enemy used up 2 uses of the Silver Sword before receiving it, you would only get the weapon with only 18 uses instead of the full 20 uses.
-Marth can go beyond Level 20!
-----
Marth can go up to LV30 in this game. Oguma was badass and Sheeda was even better than before. Navarre was also badass, as he truely was the sword saint of this game.

I see that they changed Knights to Myrmidons and gave Fighters a promotion.

I've just finished this tight game, and I am more than dedicated to create my endgame team for the particular playthrough and here they are...
These are the characters that I have used to finish the game and without any arenas, as I have never used any in this playthrough. Truthfully, you do not need them in this game. Also, when you promote the clerics and mages, they start out at E level in the secondary weapon that they can use instead of using any that they want like in the older versions.
Characters that I have used in the last chapter and throughout the game.
Last Chapter
Marth Lord LV29
Falchion Fire Emblem
Main Character.
Navarre Swordmaster LV14/14
Miracle Sword Devil Sword
He definitely is better than Raddy. Look at his promoted class, he is badass and a true sword saint. He grows alot more Strength than Raddy.
Maria
Priestess LV 20/9
Elfire Thunder Blizzard Reserve Warp
A great healer that grows more luck and speed than the other healers and more defense than Rena.
Medeia
Paladin LV15
Killer Lance Armor Killer Dragon Killer Thunder Sword Dragon Lance
What can I say, she is one of the best prepromos in the game.
Rena
Priestess LV 20/8
Elfire Thunder Harmain Reserve Recover
An important character, because of being the only character that can use the Harmain Staff.
Sheeda
Dragon Knight LV16/11
Wing Spear Silver Lance Steel Axe Hand Axe
Because she grows more luck and speed than the other pegasi units. She is the only one that can use the Wing Spear and that she is Marth's love interest! She is probably the best flier in the game, also she has a sticker in SSBB.
Minerva
Dragon Knight LV13
Dragon Lance Silver Lance Hand Spear Silver Axe
Great prepromo character, though she will have some trouble towards the endgame. Grow her to around 12, and she will be just assertive enough. An average character. That special axe that was only exclusive for her, I broke it.
Linda
Sage LV16/11
Aura Starlight Warp Magic Staff Relieve
Let me put it simply THE BEST DAMNED MAGE IN THE GAME. Of course she is not to be ignored. Daughter of Gato's student Miroa.
Maric
Sage LV18/5
Excalibur Bolganon Thoron Relieve Magic Staff
2nd best Mage in the game. Excalibur can pwn those frecking fliers and can defeat Michael with ease. A special case, a student of Wendel's that graduated from the acadamy and that maric wanted to go back to his homeland after his tudies and as a going away present, Wendel gave Maric the Excalibur tome.
Est
Dragon Knight LV 17/7
Silver Lance Iron Axe
2nd best pegasus unit in the game.
Jake
Shooter LV LV17
Quick Rain Stonehendge Fire Gun Thunder Cannon Elephant
Best shooter in the game, and boyfriend to the narrorator, Anna.
Julian
Thief LV18
Thunder Sword Devil Sword Dragon Killer
An important unit to use.
Doga
General LV16/5
Iron Bow Silver Lance Dragon Lance Gladius
He is awesome. He comes earliest, but has trouble growing luck, but so what, his defense will skyrocket overtime and that his Mag Defense will increse to 3 upon class change. Better than Thomth, because he joins alot earlier and that you get the chance to develop his fighting power even more than anyone else.
Freyr
Paladin LV 17/7
Kill Sword Thunder Sword Iron Lance
An excellent Paladin, he will rival Kain and Abel easily.
Oguma
Hero LV 20/6
Silver Sword Steel Axe Hand Axe Thunder Sword
Simply put, he is badass. He can possibly be the best darned unit in the entire game. He also joins alot earlier than any other fencer unit. We all know that in Marth's games...Heros rock. Has a love interest for Sheeda and also captain of Talis.
Gato
Sage LV18
Thoron Worm Reserve Recover
Someone that you get automatically.
What is your team...
In the gaiden chapters is crazy, you have to be left with only 15 VCharacters or less. Do you have your heart set on doing that. I don't.
@alcibie
I haven't class swapped at all in this playthrough. ^_~

O.o What's really odd is that I have your post on GameFAQs on a different window, and I can almost have it where I can switch windows and the letters are in the exact same spot... But the different formats and all...
Anyway, is the game fun?
