Richter had traveled long and far, having an uneventful journey to arrive in Bern. The green grassy plains of Sacae, he believed, were even more dull and boring than the wide snowy plains of Ilia. He had traveled a long time and he hadn't even met a single person. Now, having crossed his second mountain range, Richter realized he was crossing into Bern. Never having been outside of Ilia before, he had no idea what he was getting himself into. It was then, from atop the foothills of the Bern/Sacae border mountain range, Richter spotted a small town. Hoping to sleep in a real bed that night, Richter started of towards the village.
After a good meal and a good night's sleep, Richter decided he would need companions. It wasn't that he longed for companionship, simply, things are easier when there are other people around.
He looked towards the distance to see what looked like a wyvern in the distance, followed far behind by a horse. He watched the wyvern and then the horse disappear from sight. From the map he carried in his pouch, and what he had determined from the landscape, it had come from inside Sacae. "I have no leads to anyone in Bern," he thought, "but it seems there could be people nearby."
