Ok, so forgive me if I am wrong... Roland=Lycia Hartmut=Bern St. Elimine=Eturia Hanon=Sacae Athos=Nabata Barigan=Ilia Durban=The Western Isles Bramimond= (Dread Isle?) Is that about right?

Actually, in FE7 it was stated Bramimond was sleeping in the temple of the Fire Emblem. I also think it said in FE6 that Bern was divided in two parts, I'm not sure. But Bramimond is still alive, so it doesn't really matter.

Yes, it's right. And I don't remember what it said about Brammimond. He was the one to open the seal for the three legendary weapons in FE7, though. So yes, he's still alive(and as such, not a zombie either).

Bern was definitely started by Hartmut. Brammimond didn't found a country. He was too consumed by Dark Magic to have personality, which isn't exactly the ideal state of mind for a ruler.

He didn't seem that bad in FE7, though... Not from what I remember, at least.

he was, but even Athos admitted that he had some issues.

I didn't mean he was evil, he had lost his own personality and started mimicing the one of the person he talks too. So every suggestion that he would hear as a ruler his answer would be "yes, that's exactly what I was thinking!" see my point?

Then how about Bramimond is just "Keeper of the Weapons".

that make sense... "You, keep these weapons safe with your dangerously unstable mind and power." "I agrees completely!"

It think it went more like this.
Elimene: "Oh, I feel so bad for him. We must be able to help him, friend Athos."
Athos: "Nah, let's just lock him up underground and forget about the whole thing. Out of sight out of mind, Rite?"

Ooo, let me finish the conversation. Elimine: "But he's our friend! Surely we cannot simply abandon him." Athos: "I know, we'll tell him he has to guard some sacred weapons. He'll never know the difference."
