Delroy continued to squirm in unconciousness, then his eyes began to open. Apparently the wound wasn't as serious as it looked. Delroy sat up wearely, trying to remember who he was, and why he was here. His hand flew to his necklace, now radiating heat. Images flashed back to him. The burning heat, the destroyed city, the fight with Bern. No... The wyvern rider, the cavalier's betrayal, the capture. Stop! Please stop it Then Delroy's vision became all distorted, as if seen through a gemstone. He began to remeber things that hadn't happened to him. he saw capture, betrayal, and suddenly, a sword rushing towards him, at the same instant Delroy realised he was seeing through Myra's eyes. Myra... MAKE IT STOP, MERCY! And it ended, a face came into view. A face filled with worry, and a hint of fear. Delroy remembered her voice... asking a question.
"Who are you?"
"That may be harder to answer than you think. My name, is Delroy."

Katara smiled. "I am Katara," she said cheerily. "There isn't a proper healer on board, so I'm going to take care of you. How did you get here? Are you traveling alone...?" she asked the strange man. She had noticed he was wearing some kind of necklace. "That's a lovely trinket, Delroy." she commented.

Delroy didn't have the strength to lie, so he condensed his story.
" I was traveling alone until I came across a dragon girl named Myra, then met up with a small party. The city we had stopped in was destroyed by a dragon by the name of Aerious, and we escaped, meeting up with the dragon. The dragon girl, Myra by name, wanted to talk with the dragon to learn of her heritage. A wyrvern lord found us, and Aerious took off. The wyvern lord had a legendary weapon, and he wanted to know who the other dragon in the group was, and I volunteered myself. I was betrayed by a cavalier, and the wyvern lord took off after Myra. I then left to become stronger, so I could protect Myra, and teach the cavalier not to betray me. I stowed away on many ships until I was caught and left near a small village. I saw your ship and thought it would crash with the others, so I went to see if I could find any survivors." Delroy started playing with his "Trinket" "Did you want to see the necklace. Here." He held it out for her, butit suddenly became unbearably hot, and he dropped it into her hand.

The stone fell into Katara's hand. "Yeowch!" she yelped, dropping the stone. She picked it up with a cloth, making sure it would not burn through the floor. "It looks like... I think I may have seen a stone like this before... Where did you get it?" she asked.

"I.... can't remember. It was... a long time ago." Delroy strained his fuzzy memory. For some reason, that part of his memory wouldn't come back. The stone seemed to stop radiating heat, and was almost glowing. In the back of his mind, Delroy could hear a tinkling tune, but ignored it. He must be imagining things.

"Well... you should hang on to it. It might help you, or maybe you'll find out what it is..." Katara stopped. She felt sick again. "I'm sorry. I'll be right back..." she said, running to an adjacent room to puke in a spittoon. After making sure there was no residue in her hair or on her face, she walked back to the room Delroy was in. "I'm sorry. I've been feeling a bit sick lately... It must be these islands. I know it's not the sea, I've been on a boat before..." she digressed, smiling at Delroy.

Matis went downstairs and found the room Katara and the monk where at. He still had his lance on his hand. The monk had helped them, but he couldn't really be sure. The attack could have been meant to hit anyone on the ship, as it's probably hard to aim from the sea.
"Hey there. You two okay?" Matis asked, entering the room after knocking on the open door. "What's your name, buddy?"

Delroy visibly cringed at the sight of the weapon. Delroy really didn't want to see a lance as long as he lived. "Delroy, thanks." The man looked like he was more or less in charge. "Do you mind if I ride with you guys foor a while. I don't think there's anything for me back there." Delroy then adressed Katara. "You can hang on to my necklace if you want. I'm sure it'll look better on you than on me." Delroy then took off his leather pack. "Is there anywhere I could dry my books out? They got slightly soggy when I had to take one of them out." Delroy wanted to show them he was a friend, disarming himself and reminding them that he had killed one of the attacking pirates.

Katara blushed. "Thank you, Delroy," she said. She clasped the chain around her neck, and the stone suddenly turned pink. Thats odd... Then she turned to Matis. "Matis, could he stay with me? I'm more than capable of taking him if he's a spy for Hargus, and if he falls ill again, I could nurse him back to health." she asked.

Delroy raised an eyebrow. "Hargus? Who's Hargus?" He tried to make light of the situation."Ah well, being mistaken as a spy is better than being mistaken for a priest. You have no idea how people look when I say I can't heal thier pet ect."

"Sure, he can stay" Matis said, finally putting his lance aside. "We could let the books dry on the deck, if you want"
"And, just to fill you in, Hargus is the leader of all the bandits in Elibe" he said, sitting on a nearby chair. "Just be sure not to cross him and you should be fine".

Alexia felt sick.
Actually, she'd felt relatively sick ever since setting foot on the boat, and had been doing her best to avoid vomiting over the others. In respect for all of them, she quarantined herself below-decks, clutching to a bucket for dear life. The sounds of battle had reached her ears, but any attempts at standing were proved pointless, as she simply wobbled in place before collapsing.
Moaning, she finally pulled herself to a sitting position, tucking a dirty strand of hair behind her ear. Bracing against the floor, she levered herself to a sitting position and began searching belowdecks, looking for one of her traveling companions.

After Matis had gone below deck looking for Katara and the monk, Saru helped move the corpses off to one side of the deck. Once that was done, he followed the path Matis had taken earlier. Poking his head into the wrong room several times, the mercenary eventually got it right. When he poked his head in this time, he saw Matis, Katara and the monk talking.
"Hey, he's up already?" Saru questioned. Turning to Matis, he asked, "What do ya want done with the pirate corpses boss?"

Katara nodded to Saru and showed Delroy to the bunks. There, sitting and looking sick over a bucket, was Alexia. Katara smiled. She hadn't really talked with the paladin in a while. "Hey there, Alexia. I've been feeling sick too, but no one else has. Must be a girl thing, huh?!" she joked. Here Delroy. This is the only empty bunk. Mine's right here," she told the monk, setting her sword down on her bed.

Alexia smiled weakly, nodding to Katara.
"Sorry about cowering down here, I just couldn't get a hold of my stomach..." she explained, placing a hand over said section of her anatomy. Her gaze shifted, taking in the monk. She didn't remember the young man, but then again, she'd been ill lately. It was entirely possible that they'd been traveling with him longer than she remembered.
"What was with all that noise earlier? It sounded like a fight... but I couldn't get far enough away from the bucket to check it out," she explained, waving at the sloshing container.
