Richter turned to Clair. "I'm going to head back to the tent to get me that letter," he said, "I can't believe I forgot about it since Yurau practically waved it in my face." Leaning closer, Richter gave an almost unnoticeable nod towards Morgoth and Kynlis. "You keep an eye on those two while I'm gone," he said in a more hushed tone. Richter then turned and walked off towards the Yurau's tent.

Jya laid down on the tent a minute or two after Valorian left, thinking on what to do first. So the important tents were more noticeable, well that solved the main thing prolonging her possible demise. When she thought the coast was clear, she exited the tent from the back side, where it seemed that there was less of a possibility of an encounter. Steadying her breath, she trekked through the rows and rows of wounded tents, trying to get the sound of all the moaning, anguish, out of her mind.
Her steps felt more heavy as she began to move towards a noticeably different tent than all the rest. Avoiding a frontal approach of the tent, she went towards it from behind, hoping to avoid anyone wanting to go inside. Within perhaps thirty or fifty feet of the thing, she crouched down, taking a slower more precise pace, hoping not to make too much sound or worse, get attention.

"Yes Sir... Be careful, he did seem rather full of himself." Of course, he had called himself a friend to the prophet, so maybe that behaviour was alright.
Clair turned back to the other two. Morgoth and Kynlis. What was she supposed to do now...
"Let's go to the camp kitchens. I need to get something to eat." Eating a meal together would be less conspicuous than taking them back to Richter's tent, and besides it had been a while since she ate.
They arrived at the kitchens and Clair grabbed a bowl of the stew cooking for the army before grabbing an open table.

Kynlis quietly followed behind Clair, not wanting to cause trouble for the people who had taken her in. She eyed the shaman as they walked "Dark magic, huh?" she thought to herself. That might explain the vibe she was getting from him. It was either that or he was just creepy, she wasn't sure which.
After grabbing a bowl of stew and sitting across from Clair, Kynlis spoke up quietly. "What do we do now?"

Morgoth followed the girls and retrieved some stew as well. "Is there a chance I could get my cloak back?" he asked Clair. He thought he noticed a slight flash of fear from Kynlis.Good, if they fear me all I have to worry about is Richter, he thought,Of course, I not sure she scared but I would bet she'll be the first to break. He tasted some of the stew and ate the slop quietly without showing his disgust.

Richter approached Yurau's tent and paused in front of the soldiers. Yurau hadn't called him, so he'd have to bend the rules a little. "Halt, the Commander has declared this tent off limits!" barked one of the soldiers. Richter, unfazed, stared back at the soldier. "I need to see Commander Yurau. He has a letter for me," he replied. The other soldier just stared at Richter with disbelief. "Why would he need to give you the letter in person? He could just send the letter to you," the guard said matter-of-factly. Richter just turned to face him. "Perhaps the letter could be too important for grunts like you to hold?" replied Richter with a question. The soldiers stared back at him with anger in their eyes. "Maybe it's because I'm the highest ranked man here besides the District Head and Commander Yurau?" Richter turned his head towards the tent door. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to see the Commander." He stepped forward through the door, unimpeded by the soldiers who stood there, seething with anger.
"Commander, I believe you have a letter for me," said Richter as he crossed the tent's threshold.

Clair looked across the table at the others. What were they to do now? Kynlis seemed inexperienced and a little unsure, but Clair had already seen that she had some fire in her. Morgoth had remained stone-faced most of the time she had seen him, so she knew very little about him. He did seem to give off a dark personality though. She wasn't impressed. Pegasus knights were trained to resist attacks composed of magic. She would respect his abilities, but was confident in her own skill as well. Especially after the battle...
Clair replied to the two of them. "As far as what we do, there's little to do right now. We wait for the Commanders to get the army moving again, and try to be ready for it. The fighting these past days... it was horrible, but it galvanized me to continue fighting for our lord The Prophet's cause."
Morgoth asked about getting his cloak back, his voice rougher than most peoples. She didn't really have know what to say to that. Likely as not he would have to find a new cloak, but it might still be arround.
"I'm afraid I wouldn't know about your cloak Morgoth. I don't know the organization of the army you were traveling with." Clair continued, trying to get a feel for the others. "So, do you two have a particular goal in joining the Inquisitional Army?" She ate her stew, glad to have something edible for the present.

Kynlis looked askance at Morgoth when he asked about his cloak. "Is it really that important to him?" she wondered.
In response to Clair's question, she said, "Well, I already told you about...that," she mumbled, skirting the painful topic. "I met a priest of St. Elimine in the town I was staying in recovering, and he told me of what the Prophet was doing, about St. Elimine and her teachings. I decided to join up so that I could prevent what happened to me from happening to other people."
When she finished talking, she took a bite of stew, before looking toward the shaman, waiting for him to speak.

Valorian left from the tent area and began looking around the camp. He couldn't spy the group he'd seen earlier, which was not good. That might have meant the leader went back to his tent. That would be bad for Jya, so he should remain near.
So he walked among the fields of the wounded, trying his best to dull their pain as he tended to the wounds with the other healers.

Morgoth decided to say a partial truth,"It looked like a good opportunity." He didn't say what for though.

Jya flinched at the conversation outside of the tent. She couldn't get anything without either the person inside is sleeping and alone or the tent is completely empty. Slowly crawling on her underbelly, she moved to an area where it appeared something was blocking the view. With her body facing the back, she waited for whatever next should happen or any chance to go rummage through the place. Putting her green cloak over her head, perhaps no one would bother scouting around. Tensing her body, she was ready to dash out of the scene if needed.

Clair felt embarrassed. She hadn't meant to bring up those painful memories. It must have been hard losing her family like that. Clair didn't even want to think about the possibility of losing her family.
"I'm sorry that the army couldn't save your family, but it's good to see others standing up to fight for peace. Commander Richter has already shown himself to be a skilled leader who looks out for his soldiers. I know I'm glad I serve under him." Clair believed in her Commander, and in the Prophet's goal of securing world peace. She hoped that they could find as much enjoyment in fulfilling their duties as she did.

Kenshin had a map in hand looking at it. "You there, where did the rumors say was attacked by the one they call the prophet?" Somebody pointed in a location near where Clair, Jya, Kynlis, Morgoth, Richter, and Valorian was. "Alright, that's a day and a half if we rush everything, three days if we keep this pace. That's good enough we cannot risk exhaustion before battle." Kenshin checked behind himself, he had a small number of the elite warriors from Sasuke's tribe and about 100 others. "This may not be enough people. Even with me there's still a chance we can't come close of defeating them. I'll have to cut my way to the back as soon as possible, if they're like any other army the general will be hiding in the back."
Kenshin's gaze made it on the path again. "I can't let them get close to Katara or Khiri. This is where they stop their advancement. I don't care what their goal is, I'll crush them!"

Yurau looked up from his desk. He stared at Richter for a moment and with a stiff expression he stood up and put the letter on his desk. The wax seal was broken.
"I don't like you, Richter Abend. If you were someone else I would have had you whipped. You really are persistent, huh? Well, have your letter!"
The last sentence was snarled by Yurau and he threw the letter at Richter. Alarmed by the yelling a guard peeked in the tent, to check if everthing was allright. Seeing nothing was happening he quietly closed the tent once again. Outside, he left to get reinforcements.
"Now sit and read." Yurau told Richter. Another chair was close to the entrance and it was very bare. The letter had to offical seal, signature, stamp and symbol of the Herald and the Prophet.
Dear Richter,
I trust you have established a good name in the Sacae region. While Salvation Point is a good stronghold in Sacae, it is only the beginning. But for now, Sacae is not our main goal. We have bigger plans. Ostia must fall. This centre of depravity has seen war. It has been destroyed and rebuilt, but morals and dignity stay in ruins. Remember my words? Through war, there will be peace? Ostia is the first step, Richter. If we succeed there, the rest of the world will and must follow. I seek salvation for the world, and so does our prophet. This letter will be given to you by Yurau. He is proud and he was one of the earlier supporters of the Prophet, but he is also arrogant and cruel. That's why I have asked the Prophet to give you co-leadership of the small army Yurau will bring with him. Take your soldiers from Salvation Point, together with Yurau's men to the Ostian Pass. Leave Yurau's recruits, there they will be trained by one of the men you trust. A new Region Officer will be sent there, along with a small patch of reinforcements.
I'm afraid Yurau will not be very happy to give away his position of leadership, but you must convince him that it's important. After all, it's the Prophet's WORD. And his word is command. Inside the letter is your new badge; you are now and High Officer of the Inquisitional Army. We shall meet again in Ostia, Richter. Secure the Pass, march for Ostia and meet up with main army. The victory over Ostia will be the beginning of world peace.
Be valiant,
The Herald."
While reading Yurau had stood up and had drawn his sword. He was old, but he definitely had experience. Looking at Richter he started talking.
"I will not take that kind of order. I have always served the Prophet well, he would not do that to me! That letter is forged. It must be! At first I thought it was a real letter, but you... you arrogant twat, you cannot be as highly favoured by the Herald! I am YURAU! I and only I am worthy of being a High Officer! You are nothing. This letter will never be answered and I'll tell the Herald that you and you entire garrisson were murdered by some Sacean while we were travelling to Ostia. I've given my orders to my trusted men. But you, you Richter, you will die HERE." With that being said, Yurau swung his sword at Richter.
