The difference is that all WoW takes is pressing one of the 100k shortcuts on screen(or using a hotkey, most likely) and either being close or afar. There's not much in the way of reflexes involved.
It's true that some Final Smash attacks are extremely hard to avoid. But that's why you have to take advantage of what you have. Super Sonic coming at you while you fall? Dodge. If that fails and you're Link, use Bombs to move yourself away. Using Marth or Ike? Counter does wonders. using Ganon? Go ahead and do a Warlock Dive if you're high enough, or use Side B or Up B, depending on the situation. Flying characters have it easier, though they are slower. MetaKnight can use the Tornado to move more or less unpredictably. Kirby has the rock for fast fall. Pit has high mobility. Bowser has fast fall and his up B, as well as Donkey.
There IS a way to avoid it, even if it is hard. It's just a matter of pushing yourself, and forcing the other to commit mistakes.
About the class things, the game being as fluid as it is, Smash Bros gives you more freedom as to what you can do, as well as your opponent. In WoW you are either moving EXTREMELY predictably(Click here, move in a straight line) or simply facing off one in front of the other, and seeing who can outdo the other in raw damage and endurance. Plus there's no "random" factor in it. Characters have a set path, which they can modify a bit, but you won't see them suddenly getting anything new out of nowhere. SSB gives you the items for that. And if you so wish, disable Final Smash attacks. They are lame, anyway. It's the other items that lead to unpredictability. I'm tired of seeing matches of the so called pros, when most if not all of them look the same. Same tactics most of the time.
Also, I never said that "good" players used items. I just said that items force you to expect the unexpected. It makes the game more fun. If that's not the case, then you are certainly not playing it with friends.
