RAYL'S CROWLEYRIFFIC (and not so crowleyriffic) MUGS!
(updated on "Valve Time")

(Did I also mention I don't do transparencies?) >
Since everyone else is making thread for them, I decided I might as well too:
First off the familiar faces:
Francis
Lyar/Lyar Armor betas
I experimented on his colors before deciding.
Oh, here's the original Lyar, compare the difference!
Rayl the Hermit
These mugs I made for what I had originally planned for Rayl after the timeskip, then a better (current) idea had sprung up.
More Rayl Mugs
I had remembered Rayl had put on the armor of an Etrurian soldier before The Herald attacked them in Delphia, so I decided to remake that description, and:
(I'd say I got better with working on helmets).
His hair is over his eyes as some sort of disquise idea, or something. It worked better than not using the Hermit head base I have.
But then I went to thinking: I remember Rayl used to wear a helmet when he was traveling (briefly) with Crowley, and so I remade that. (and figured I'd have him bring it back when he promoted, I dunno.)
Cast and Crew
Mugs I have made over the years. They are mostly from Fighters for Freedom, though I'm sure some of our older members will see some familiar faces. A few of them are my goofing around with my (best) mug: the famous Rayl...easily the mug I'm proudest of, even IF I've done some better work on other mugs... <_<
Part Two (added 01/08/11):
Evayl
The Rayl fangirl's mug was made by me, and out of extreme insomia induced boredom when creating it, I made several color variations, most of them based off of CHARACTERS ON THIS FORUM:
Rayl Promotion
A quick edit of the above Paladin idea, I gave him new armor, and a cloak that looks extremely similar to a certain Crowleyriffic Mercenary.
Alright so I wanted to make the helmet more impressive also, so I added an emblem to it, changed the knob on the side and added a feather...oh and added normal Rayl face just to test it out...Then I got to thinking: You know how some helmets have those things on the top/back that are used to show status or intimidate an enemy? I tried adding something like that onto the helmet. I think it turned out alright, though I'd like your opinions and suggestions.
Rayl the Dragonslayer
Alright this is my making a radical helmet remodel. I like how it looks so far, although it's based on someone else's which I tidied up then made several improvements on so it looks a lot different.
Cyrus
Cyrus asked me to work on his mug for him, but a large chunk of it was just tidying up the mug he gave me, which is a custom he found somewhere I believe, editting it to fit his specifications more, and then recoloring...he also added the hair on his own, but again: I tidied it up and recolored it (the hair had about...a hundred or so different pixel colors in it, and THAT wasn't fun to edit.)
Inigo
Now then, as you know we had this mini contest thing to decide the colors for Commander Sexy Stache, and that the gentleman's blue won, so:
Berserker Lyar
This one was Rage-er-riffic to work on, no pun intended. I wanted to continue working even though I asked for Richter's (easily superior) help in making one. I first had to edit out Dozla's head/beard, then proceed to do various edits throughout the armor, including the inside of the back of the armor, editing some of the spikes, the chestplate, ETC. There are two versions. One of them is the normal final beta version, then one which has the very top of Lyar's chestplate on it, as seen in his normal mug.
Holy Shi-
Two great mugs on one day (01/08/11) This one took me Fiv-Six hours, so was TECHNICALLY finished on 01/09/11, but oh well. I took a half body done by the Merc of a military man saluting, converted the body texturing, replaced the collar, added a shoulder strap, fixed the arm to fit the normal mug sprite better, changed the coloring, changed the way the coat buttoned, changed parts of the shape, then worked on adding in Rayl's head as my usual placeholder for random works...I like how it turned out. I also included the draft end product, to show you a bit of how my brain operates (even though it used to be four times as messy, with eye parts, multiple arms, heads, random dragged parts of texture, color pallete bars, random dots, ETC...I cleaned those up so you could actually see the finished work)...it's messy up in this cranium of mine...
...and it's all done in Microsoft Paint... <___<
Battle Sprites
Things I've made over the years. Most are from Fighters for Freedom (f3) though the Lyar set, Mavick, Rayl, Inigo, the dual wielding Yaen, and older Lilith are from here.
* = I did not make the Persephone mug, I just found that I had it, and decided that I'd upload it for posterity...though I did fix some errors that were in the hair. :/
