Saffra didn't do much sleeping outside in the brush. There had been this squirrel chittering away loudly for the entire time sh had rested near it. The rodent was looking down at her as she rose her large head, stretching her wings and legs out, raking up earth with her claws as she lay more prominently forwards, her head raised high and squinting at the vermin.
As the thing continued to chatter away at her, Saffra rose a large clawed hand, and smacked the tree, not hard enough to knock over the tree, but definitely hard enough to send the creature flying. A small, breathy sigh rose as there was silence once more, aside from causal bird, but atleast no annoying nattering sounds.
"I hate squirrels.."
She made the comment wholey to herself, but in a bothered tone. She was taught to love all life, but Squirrels...they were the worst, absolutely good for nothing. Shaking a bit, she rose up and walked at a leisurely pace back towards the ranch. The brush was so thick that she kept getting hit in the face from low hanging branches, or catching herself on vines and roots.
he loved her dragon form, but it was definitely a hassle moving through a forest with it. Slowly, she made her way to the ranch, and her feminine, elegant but muscled frame was soon seen moving across the grassland slopes of Rayl's ranch. She'd be quite visible from a distance, but she made no effort to hide herself...others had to get used to it, especially if the Marquess of Pherea was to have her fight.
her eyes caught sight of the horses running, but at a point, she just stopped right beside the barn the animals were kept in, and peeked inside to see if anyone was home. She saw a few animals, but no people. Lifting her head out, she saw the horses grazing in the field, and decided to keep herself laying in the shade near the barn, humming loudly to herself.

Gabriel saw Rayl get a bright, blue gem from beneath the table. "Not a bad idea to have it around, just in case" he replied. "Are you going to get a new weapon with it or...?" he asked, tentatively. Truth be told, Rayl's lance looked like it had seen better times. By no means was it worthless, but it wouldn't hurt to have a higher quality weapon around. His sword was by far in better condition.
"I guess it's best if I get some sleep. Lady Lucy sure is a hard worker, but I think I learned more with her than I did during the last half of my magical studies" he said, laughing, and went to his room, waving towards Rayl as he left.
Due to Etrurian law, no mage in training was to cast a spell until the age of 12. Understandable, though. Kids had a hard time keeping focus, and to actually hand a weapon to one younger than that was dangerous. That made it hard for most to actually be useful in fight, which is why it's rare to see actual, young mages.
Most mages aren't as useful as a swordsman in battle until at least their mid twenties, while the melee fighters have always been an asset to any army, no matter how young...which sort of explained why every single one of Kraft's officers was at least 20 years old.

Rayl shrugged. Maybe he'd use it to help supply his troops with better equipment...getting up and exiting the large estate house, take a deep breath of fresh air, exhaling with a look of bliss upon his face: it was a nice day for a ride...around this point, he also saw Chelsea and Karina coming up, and rose a hand to greet them: he never waved, just rose a hand then lowered it, before calling out," Ah good afternoon my friends! Did you find what you were looking for?"

Chelsea gave a little sigh as she approached Rayl and shook her head. "No one knew anything, or if they did they didn't want to tell me." She paused for a moment. Should she tell Rayl? She didn't want to cause trouble but felt that he would want to know such details. "There was one thing, Sir Rayl. Quite a few people... well, what I mean to say is..." she took a breath. "They were vulgar towards me. Because I come from Sacae..."
At that, her head sunk. Never before in her life had she felt like this. Why should she be ashamed of where she came from? Who were they to say such things? And why did their words hurt so much? "Are people always gonna be like that to be? Simply because of where I come from...?"

Rayl paused, and put an arm around her shoulders," Now listen here lady Chelsea, throughout the world there are many kinds of people, just as there are breeds of horses. You will find some who are friendly, others that are stubborn and unruly...yet those can be calmed and made tame in time. Just remember to be proud of who you are, where you have come from, and all that you have done to get so far." he gave her one of his smiles, before putting two fingers to his lips," I'm sure going out on a ride would cheer you up." With this, he gave a distinct whistle, and in moment Spirit came trotting on up, watching both of them with intent.
"Lady Chelsea, I will be departing tomorrow morning on a mission most important...if you wish to travel with us, I am sure you'd be able to find some information throughout the lands, and I'll do all that I can to help. I'm known, albeit slightly, throughout Lycia, I'm sure they'd be a bit more...hospitable with myself around, though I'll be mostly mission bound, of course."

Chelsea was able to give Rayl a little smile. "Thank you, Sir Rayl... I'll be sure to keep that in mind." She went over to Spirit and patted her nose softly. "I would really like to go with you, if I may. And, if it's not asking too much, I'd like it if Karina could come too." She gave her friend a quick smile.
She hopped up onto Spirit's back. "I think I am gonna go for a ride." She turned to Karina again. "If I'm out late, feel free to fall asleep. I'll slip in quietly." She turned back to Rayl again. "And Sir Rayl, there's no need to address me as Lady. I'm not exactly deserving of such a title."

Rayl smiled, before whistling again, and thus Elibe came riding up," I'll accompany you for now, it's great riding weather." He saddled up onto the mighty horse," However Chelsea, there two condition to your joining my group...first off you are going to need a horse to be able to ride with us..." it was obvious what he was trying to say, before reaching out and giving Spirit a pat," You best be taking good care of her now...and number two: I'd either have to make you both one of my knights, or hire you on as mercenaries...and I offered Karina the service but she declined said offer...however let us discuss this while out. Lady Karina, would you care to accompany us?"

Chelsea turned Spirit around and started to ride off. The rush of riding came right back to her and she couldn't help but give a little smile at the return of that feeling. She felt bad leaving before Karina had time to answer, but she knew she could easily catch up if she wanted to join. She had been through a lot today and needed the few seconds before Rayl caught up to herself. Still thinking on the harsh words, she resolved to never let them affect her like they did today. Surely father had endured these words countless times and she couldn't see him being affected by them, so why should she? She would be strong for him, and at the thought she smiled again. She had a feeling he would be proud.

Saffra stopped her humming, the loud Whistle deafened her acute hearing. She winced a bit and peeked around the side of the barn or stable, or whatever the building it was, and watched Rayl and Chelsea. She watched him place an arm around the young girl and she lightly rubbed at one of her forelegs, a mischievous smile working on her lips.
She had totally taken the sight out of context, and she knew that, knew, from what she has experienced in being in Rayl's company, he was just trying to support her, she seemed troubled, afterall. Yawning, her eyes watched the horses go up to Rayl, and much later on, she too, strode up in full dragonic beauty, to which she prided herself on more than her human attractiveness.
With wings tucked, she made sure not to tear up the ground too much with her large claws as she walked, resuming her humming as she looked down at he two on her way over.
"Making traveling arrangements, are you?" She chimed in melodiously, a small smile on her maw, with head slightly tilted to the side, questioningly.

when Saffra made her appearance in full dragonic form, you could see the knight's arm twitch slightly: he ahd yet to fully overcome his dracophobia," Yes Lady Saffra, as you know well enough of our plans for tomorrow...that and I"m sure you heard my offer to Karina and Chelsea with that hearing of yours." he smirked while Elibe rolled his eyes: the novelty of a dragon had seemed to have worn off him, as Fang landed upon a tree with some difficulty, looking down at it's distant cousin. He wasn't really sure what else he had to say so he looked back to Chelsea and Karina," Well then Lady Saffra, we are going out for a quick ride before returning, if you would wish to accompany us."

Saffra gave a mild shake of her head, declining the invitation as she gave a loud yawn. At this point, she seemed pretty lazy in general, like moving around was a difficulty, or atleast strenuous. With slight ruffling of wings, she gave a small bow of her head, which was strange, as a dragon, but she attempted anyways.
"That is kind of you to ask, Sir Rayl, but I think I'm going to turn in early."
Her eyes looked to Chelsea and her horse, and gave a curt nod with a smile, getting in close as if to whisper, but her voice was anything but.
"You look good on a horse, almost proper."
Saffra gave a tiny giggle and turned herself towards the house once more, and trotted off at a leisurely pace. Once she was in distance of the house, she turned back to human form, and entered through the front, and gave a small wave to Gabriel as she paced, and ducked away into her room.

Chelsea was in a state of shock after seeing Saffra dragon form, so much so she barely registered what she said. She gave a little nod when she directed her words towards her and watched her trot away. She turned to Rayl uncertainly, then gave her head a shake. She couldn't let something like that shock her, especially in battle, or she'd be dead. She petted Spirit again, then turned to Rayl again. "Are you ready to ride, Sir Rayl?"

Rayl gave a smile to the nomad, before nodding his head and riding off ahead of both her and Spirit. Nothing beat an evening ride...
OOC: TIME SKIP!
IC: Rayl slowly awoke in the middle of woods near his estate, laying uncomfortably on a rock. He had stayed out even once his ride with Chelsea was over, as he wanted to get a nice long look of his home before setting out a long time again. Nearby was a gently flowing stream, which Elibe was drinking from. This was their usual stopping spot after such a ride, only occurring before long trips outwards into the world, so he made sure to keep up with this tradition. After mounting up, Horse and Rider made way for their estate once more, to awaken those coming with him before meeting the rest of his division at the castle's gate.
The people he had asked to look after his animals were there, well aware of the situation, even including of the Dragon Lady, as she came to be called by the commonfolk, who now lived with the knight. he made his way inside the empty estate, and went up to each and every of the two guest rooms, giving two heavy knocks on the solid wooden doors to waken them up, before calling out," Alright then, we best be getting to the Castle!"

Chelsea sleepily slid out of her bed before shaking Karina softly. "Come on... up-up times..." She went over to where her clothes laid and slowly began to change. When she finally finished, she tossed Karina her clothes. "I'll meet you outside." With that, she headed out of the room and moved down the hallway. She picked up her bow and quiver at the door where she had left it before and headed outside to meet up with Rayl. She gave him a sleepy wave and sat on the ground while they waited for the rest to come out.

Karina put on her white tunic, and after a moment's pause for thought, strapped on her armor. She had accepted Rayl's offer, and, alongside Chelsea, was ready to lay her life on the line for him. She tired back her hair with her old blue ribbon, grabbed her lance, and headed towards the stable.
Karina met up with Rayl and Chelsea outside the manor. "It's such a nice day out. A good day for flying!" she said after greeting them. "If either of you would like to see what riding a pegasus is like, Sascha can hold two people for a good amount of time. She's a good strong steed," she added.
