Syana gave the myrmidon a smile. "That sounds good. I'd probably make a terrible mess of it if I tried to do it myself." Plus, like he said, he was more experienced when dealing with it and would be able to make it look cool. "Do you wanna stop here for a bit then? That way we can rest and you can work on the paint? Or would you rather keep going for a little while longer?"

"It's fine, let's stop here," replied Saturos. "It's not like we're in any hurry to get anywhere." He looked around, looking for a nice spot to rest. A ways over, he noticed a small brook with a few large rocks on its shore. There wasn't much shade, but the clouds in the sky made up for that. Saturos nodded his head towards the spot. "Come on, let's go sit down over there."
Walking over, the myrmidon dropped his pack on the ground and slipped off his armor before sighing and sitting down against a rock. With a small yawn, he turned to Syana and smiled, pointing to a rock in front of him. "You can sit down right there," he said.

Syana followed Saturos to the spot. She laid her pack down on the ground and put her sword next to it. She looked at the water for a few seconds before heading over to Saturos. She sat herself on the rock in front of Saturos and brush the hair out of her face so he could get to work. "Don't make me look ugly, now." She warned with a wink.

Saturos smirked. "That'll be pretty hard," he said as he pulled his materials out of his bag. "I've only got one color, so it'll have to make due for now."
Loosening up the drawstring on the paint bag, he dabbed his fingers in the blue mixture and began to rub it on the red-haired mercenary's face. "It might itch a bit at first, but don't pick at it. Your skin will get used to it pretty quickly." As the two sat there, the myrmidon worked, is fingers deftly spreading and smoothing the paste. He finished and took a step back, reaching into his bag. "Well, I'm all finished, but I can't say I carry around a mirror." Saturos looked around before nodding at Syana's sword. "You could use your blade."

Syana gave a slight nod as the mixture had already became to itch, but she ignored it. She had to admit she was somewhat excited to see what she'd look like with the paint on. Saturos had promised not to make it bad looking, but she was still a tad nervous as well. She waited quietly as the swordsman ran his fingers over her face, spreading the paint around carefully. It kind of tickled a bit, but she kept perfectly still. After a little bit, he proclaimed her was finished. She gave him a smile and lifted up her sword. Tilting it slightly, she looked down at her reflection. The mercenary looked back up at Saturos with a great smile. "It looks great! I really like it!"

Saturos grinned. He was glad to see another one of his miscellaneous put to good use. "Glad to see that you like it," he replied happily. "Just know that you're now part of a heroic line of warpaint wearers." The myrmidon looked around. He wasn't quite ready to get moving yet. He was in the mood to just take a load of and relax for a bit. That was the advantage about not setting definite goals for yourself. You were never rushed to do anything or get anywhere. You just achieved things in time.
With a grunt, Saturos got to his feet and walked over to the stream, taking off his boots. Sitting down, he stuck his feet in the water. The cool, refreshing liquid flowed around his feet. He craned his neck to look at Syana. "We're in no rush. Here, come join me. The water feels good," he said, patting the ground next to him.

Syana hopped up to her feet and made her way over to Saturos. Plopping herself onto the ground next to him, she pulled off her boots. She set them behind her and slipped her feet into the water. Saturos was right, it did feel good. She kicked her feet around lightly, letting the water flow over her feet. It had been far too long since she had done something like this. It was nice.

Saturos looked around as he dabbled his feet in the stream. The scenery was, overall, pretty flat. It was a lot like Sacae, only more hilly, and with more trees. There were a few birds flying through the sky, chirping and cawing as they soared. The myrmidon smiled. It seemed like he had been on the move awhile lately. He hadn't had time to just sit down and blow some time away. Stretching his arms out, he looked at Syana.
"Want to spar?"

Syana reached down and gave her leg a rub, making sure it was ok from her last spar. When she decided it was, she hopped up. "Sure." She drew her sword and took a few steps back, waiting for Saturos to get up too. "Come on," she said with a grin, "let's see what you're made of."

"Probably sterner stuff than you," joked Saturos, a sly grin on his face. He pushed himself to his feet, grabbing his sheath, and drew his sword. Twirling it in front of him playfully, he raised an eyebrow at Syana. "If I lose," excused the myrmidon, "it's only because I'm a bit rusty."
Saturos swayed to the side, and then with a gentle but quick motion, lashed out his sword at the red-headed mercenary.

Syana swiftly parried Saturos' blow and gave him a little smirk back. "When I win, I expect some kind of reward." She gave him a playful wink and forced him back. She took a few steps backwards and readied herself. Normally, she'd go right on the offensive, but she had a feeling that's what Saturos wanted. So, she'd let him make the first move and be ready for him.

As Saturos stepped back, he smirked. "A reward, huh? I'm not sure I have much to give you," he said, his speech lackadaisical. His eyes, however, were already zeroed in on Syana, thinking of his next move. There was a pause as neither of the two approached the other. "So, she's going on the defensive," thought the swordsman to himself. "Well let's see how well she can hold her guard."
With a step to Syana's left, Saturos thrust his arm out, then swung inwards, switching the sword to his right hand as he did, and cut upwards, feinting the blow.

Syana was fooled by Saturos' skilled swordplay and simply jumped backward rather than try to counter it. She knew if she had tried to block it, there was a good chance that she would have a nice size cut across her now. Hoping she could do this before Saturos could react, she gave a sweeping slash towards the myrmidon.

"Woah," thought Saturos as the red-head back stepped and retaliated with a sword swing. The myrmidon lifted his sword straight up, clutching it close to his chest, and spun into Syana's strike, blocking the blow. Jumping back himself, he analyzed the situation.
"She's not letting herself be baited," Saturos thought to himself. "Guess I'll take a more straight forward approach." After a quick pause, the swordsman lunged towards Syana, thrusting his sword forward.

After her blow was blocked, Syana jumped back. She was pleased with herself so far. Before, she would have just gone in, sword swinging and trying to be flashy, and probably would have been injured by now. Apparently she had learned more from Saturos than she had known. When he lunged towards her, the stood her ground. She swung her sword at his, trying to knock it out of his hands, or at least off path.
