Ah, there he is, right on cue. He nodded in the direction of the axeman, a scowl on his face. "Fun.... right." I don't think anyone had nearly as much fun as you... After a moment of silence, he looked over the large man, and at his trophy. He must of wowed a lot of people today. The whole town is probably a buzz... a lot has happened in terms of entertainment. This man was no slouch in battle, Aidan could say so from first hand experience. He constantly showed just how capable he was during that battle back in Sacae, it was no wonder a man like him was able to win a trophy like that.
He turned to look at the inn keeper, she gave the group of people a somewhat nervous smile. "Lyar, I already have the accommodations set up." He nodded his head as he spoke. He was about to call him 'sir Lyar' but there was a feeling in his gut that told him the man wouldn't enjoy that. "I hope you don't mind, but you're bunking with me tonight." It wasn't time for bed quite yet, but it would be better to tell him ahead of schedule. "In case you want drop your... trophy off."

Lyar laughed at Aidan's usual grumpy Gus attitude: good ole Army man,"Eh, I don't mind ole buddy, we just gotta gather our supplies now do we? After all- wait what happened to YOU?!" it took him long enough to notice the mark on his eye, and Lyar instantly went from happy, to worry," I stand corrected then, it's looks like neither of you had much fun!" fists on his hips as he leaned in to look at him some more, then into Aevian's tired face in observation, they turning around and raising hand," How about a beer? Mavick always told me beer makes things better while he went into his little book room."

"I got a cut... on my eye." That wasn't a lie, per say, but it was woefully missing in details. Still he didn't feel the need to clue them in on everything. "That's all." He stated, touching the mark slightly with his gauntlet clad hand, almost subconsciously. Shaking his head he looked back at Lyar, a dull look on his face. He opened his mouth to say something, but noticed something out the corner of his eye... the good one.
It was starting to rain. Well that made sense, it's been looking like it was going to rain all day, it was only a matter of time before it actually did. "I'll have to pass on that Lyar, it looks like it's starting to rain. I think I'll stay in today." I almost said yes to his offer... What's wrong with me? Thank you rain for your convenient excuse.

"Beer?"
Aevian's red eyes narrowed a little in thought, but ended up shaking her head to his offer. Rain...always rain, all the time. With a sigh, she wanted to go get more of her things, but she guessed this would do for now. Clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth, she fingered the hilt of her axe, and then rested the hand upon it.
"I don't think so, Lyar, not for me. I wanted to finish my provisions and check what the hell is going on in Bern....but I may not be able to do that with the rain..."
Sighing, she found a chair and slumped back into it. She wanted to be in the capital in the next few days, but at this rate...if the rain didn't let up, she may be stuck in this funk of a town.

Saturos walked into the inn sopping wet, but apparently, as shown by the large smile on his face, was completely unfazed by the rain outside. Then again, it always seemed like he was immune to Mother Nature's more unpleasant acts. Shaking himself like a dog at the front door, he sighed with relief and turned to the also wet Syana and grinned. "Well well, it looks like we've finally arrived at our first stop in our destination, Bern. I haven't been here in ages!" he said, chuckling slightly as he looked around the inn, his arms held out in a wide stretch.
As always, Saturos's first goal was alcohol. Thus, the myrmidon's first steps were towards the bar, his good mood reflected by the hop in his step. It was like he was a rain of sunshine on a cloudy day that was everyone else in the inn. Understandable for most, considering such heavy rain did kill most people's good moods. "Bartender!" called the swordsman, slapping his hand down on the wood. A tubby middle aged man popped up from behind the counter.
"Yeah, that's me," he said casually, giving Saturos an eye. "Wadda want?" The Etrurian held up three fingers. "Three beers. Best of the local brew," he replied. The man nodded, ducked back under the bar counter, then came back up holding three unlabeled beer bottles, putting them down in front of Saturos. "Wait, make that four. I should get one for Syana." Another bottle appeared. Saturos turned to the red-headed mercenary and waved her over. "Come on, drink. My treat!"

Syana followed Saturos into the inn, but she did not share his smile. While she didn't mind the water at all earlier, that was because they were swimming. When combined with walking and wearing armor, she was not a fan. Not a fan at all. Soaked, wrinkled and grumpy, Syana threw herself down at one of the tables and began to ring out her hair. She didn't bother to check out the other people seated in here as she normally would, her wetness drawing her full attention. As she wiped some of the water off her face, she found that some of her warpaint had come off with it. She gave an angry sigh.
Not really caring if people minded or not, she took off her armor and let it go to the ground with a thud. A couple at a nearby table gave her a glare that she returned with interest. They hurriedly turned away when she removed her sword too. She almost gave an evil little smirk. People never seemed to want to tell you off when you carry a large sword.
Her gaze went back to Saturos. She couldn't fathom how he was so happy. Maybe that Wyvern had injured his head too. Whatever it was, it apparently wasn't contagious as she was not feeling the same way. When the blue-haired myrmidon waved her over, she groaned and pulled herself up out of her seat and started over towards him. As she grabbed her beer, she muttered, "After making me walk through all that rain, you'd better be paying for the room." She took a sip, then added, "and fixing my paint, too..."

He was sitting back on some hard wooden stool, but he wasn't looking particularly relaxed. It was hard not to notice the duo that just walked into the inn, they sort of commanded all the attention in the room to them. Not that it was a hard thing, considering they were wet and well armed travelers creating a ruckus. Still full-clad in a suit of armor, as he didn't leave it without good reason, he couldn't help but watch. It wasn't a bad thing though, he wasn't really doing anything in particular before and atleast they were entertaining to watch.
He stared at them, not really caring if he was called out on it, if they didn't want attention then they should be more low key. He wasn't going to say anything, Aidan has had more then too many fights today, besides they weren't hurting anyone.

"Don't worry, your paint will be fixed," replied Saturos. He ran a finger over his own face, then held it up to examine it. Wet, watery paint dripped from his fingertip. "Looks like I'll have to touch up my own face as well." Taking a swig from one of his beers, he grabbed his sack that he had dropped next to his barstool and began rummaging through it before pulling out a small leather pouch. Loosening the draw strings, he opened the pouch and looked inside. "I should have enough money to pay for the room too, so no need to worry about that."
After taking a few more drinks and looking around, Saturos noticed a gruff looking soldier, clad in armor, staring at them. He looked like a decent fellow, so the swordsman wasn't all that worried or anything, and gave the man a wave of his hand. "You there," he said, holding up his second, untouched beer. "Come, sit, I've got a bottle here with your name on it."

Him? He sat there, a bit surprised, not really expecting to be called over by the complete stranger. Still, after a day like the one he had, it wouldn't kill him to loosen up. Just a little bit of course, but then again this little journey began with him talking to a stranger. First it was Rayl, then X, who knows what would happen next?
Also, to be honest, he was a bit curious. He got up and walked over, looking at the girl and then the man. "So," He began with a slight grin, "What could of possessed you to call this complete stranger over?" He chuckled, sitting in the seat. It made a slight straining noise under the weight of all his armor, but it was strong enough to take it.
"I'll have to pass on the drink, it's been a long day and I'd prefer not to have a hangover in the morning." He added. "So what's your story? It's not every day that a pair of heavily armed travelers march into an inn like this."

Syana smiled at little when Saturos agreed to both things, taking another sip of her beer as she did. She watched as he called over the knight who was sitting nearby to have a beer with them. Not something she would have done, but Saturos was a nice guy. She listened as the man talked and spoke up when he finished. "We're looking for someone," she said, taking another drink. "And if we're heavily armed, what does that make you?"

Saturos shrugged. "Why not call you over? A stranger is only a stranger while you haven't met them. Now we're acquaintances." Seeing the man refuse the beer, Saturos gave the bottle a quick sniff and chugged half of it, gasping with relief and popping the bottle back down on the bar counter.
The myrmidon watched the little exchange between the soldier and his mercenary friend before chiming in. "Heavily armored by the looks of it," interjected Saturos. "But yes, we're looking for someone. On the off chance that you've seen him, I'll give you a shot. He's a swordsman with pink hair, he wears glasses, and he's always got a serious face on. Like this..." The swordsman gave his best Richter impression before reverting back to his business tone. "Perhaps you've come across such a chap?"

As she spoke, a small bark of laughter escaped from the knight. "Hah. I guess you're right about that one. I suppose I'm a moving fortress then." He looked at the younger girl, then turned over to the older man. They were both wet, obviously out in the rain. Though, by the look of the running paint on their faces, it wasn't for that long. Else the paint would be long gone by now. War paint on their faces... that wasn't something people did very much these days.
"You have a point there. Aidan Lowell." He quickly introduced his self. Then he listened as he talked about their reason for being here. "Looking for someone you say?" He thought for a moment. Something... it felt familiar what he was describing. Pink hair was a unique trait... Glasses, a serious face... It felt familiar. Like it was on the tip of his tongue. Like he knew who it was, but didn't really pay attention to it. It had to of been recent but... hrm... In Sacae? Wait... "Are you talking about Richter? I don't know the man, but fought alongside his army a few days ago in Sacae." He thought for a moment. He never spoke to the man directly, but he definitely remembered him on the edges of his memory.

"Saturos Prox," stated the myrmidon, before listening to the armored Aidan. As the name Richter came up, the Saturos realized he had gotten lucky with his inquisition.
"Oh, so you know Richter?" he replied. He gave Syana a quick glance that said 'That was easy'. Turning back to Aidan, Saturos leaned in a bit closer. "His army, you say? In Sacae? What's the army? Is he doing mercenary work for Bern again? Or is he with the Etrurians? From what I've heard, Etruria has been hiring a lot of mercenaries nowadays." The swordsman paused, realizing that it seemed far too easy that this soldier knew of Richter. "You didn't even talk to him though. Is it just my luck that you happened to remember a random mercenary?"

"Well, if he was just a random mercenary, I doubt I would of remembered him. However the situation in which I saw him was a tad bit... interesting." Now that he thought about it, it really was an odd situation. "He wasn't just fighting in the army, he was leading it. A part of it atleast." He recalled. Then again that wasn't the odd part, or why he remained in his memory despite not talking to him directly.
"No, what was odd about it, was his portion of the army was fighting with the rest of it. A man named Ariston declared him traitor, and by the time me and Rayl came to the scene, the battle had just begun." A few soldiers filled him in when he came on to the scene, and he asked around even more after the battle was finished. "Wicked odds, but somehow we managed to survive and escape the death trap."
"I suppose it's not so much the person who left an impact as it was the situation. Still, last I heard he was getting ready for a counter attack. Me and my group left though, so I don't how it turned out. However.... that was a while ago, I don't know if he's still fighting or not." He should be done, unless something silly and ridiculous froze him in place for a few months or something.

After hearing Aidan's tale, Saturos almost spat out his beer, but refrained from doing so as that would have been a terrible waste of perfectly good alcohol. "Say...what?" sputtered the swordsman before taking another guzzle of beer. Downing the bottle he placed it back down on the counter and began to open his second bottle. "Richter's doing all that?" The Etrurian myrmidon grew pensive for a moment, giving a quick glance to Syana. The name Ariston stood out in Saturos's head. The swordsman had heard of Ariston, oh yes. He always heard talk of him whenever he went back to visit the capital. Fiercely loyal to the throne, Ariston was. With the Prophet in power, Saturos could only imagine he was one of his most fanatical generals.
"So he's not a mercenary anymore it seems. And he's been declared a traitor to the Etrurian army. Very interesting. Richter always was a stubborn one. I'm actually not surprised to see he's gotten himself in a heap of trouble." Though the fact that he was leading an army, even part of it, showed that he was moving up in the world. Not just a mere mercenary any longer.
"Well I'm not sure I want to get involved in a mess like that," muttered Saturos, drinking more beer. Sure, he cared for the kid, but after all, he was still an Etrurian citizen. He didn't really feel like having his family hunted down due to associations with a national criminal. Looks like that was the end of this little journey. And after so much time too. Well, it was nice to see that he was still alive, at least for the time being. "If he ever gets out of the little situation, I might look him up again, but for now, I think that's good enough for me."
The swordsman turned to Syana. "Well, that's the end of my plans. Not much else I had planned in Bern," he said a bit sheepishly. He craned his neck towards Aidan. "What are you up to? Perhaps you could use a couple of vagrant swords on your next leg of the journey?" Saturos looked back at Syana. "Only if you want to, of course."
