Selibas couldn'tbelieve it. He had landed a hit! But then all of a sudden his legs were swept out from under him. Selibas fell flat on his back. He pushed himself up using his sword. He got up and weakly held his sword in front of him. He sortof wanted this dual to end although he had enjoyed his hit.

Val gathered his self to attack again, but stopped before he took a step. Lowering his blade, he cocked an eyebrow at the boy. His hands were shaking, his body heaving, obviously quite tired. It may not of been a long sparring, but it was intense atleast, so Val couldn't really blame him. Maybe that last blow knocked the wind out of him? Well, Val's shoulder was sore, so it wasn't like he was dieing to continue fighting his self.
"I suppose we should stop for now." Val laughed breathlessly, quickly bringing the blade in his left hand back to it's sheath. He put it back in very carefully, as if he was afraid it would break if he wasn't paying the utmost attention. After it was safely away, he looked at Selibas again. "So... what was that about killing your master back there?"

Selibas stood up straight resheathing his blade. He said, "I have three goals in life. Unite Sacae. Fight the Prophet. Kill my Father. My father killed the only man who showed me care. So when if I duel I always say those words."

"Those are some pretty noble goals." Well, except maybe the last one. That one sounded like plain out revenge, and if Val's book and stories were to be believed, revenge never brought anyone any happiness. Val rested his hand on the hilt of his weapon, he didn't feel as tense as usual. The fight must of loosened him up, it reminded him of his spars he had with Yaen. Except, you know, he didn't get totally annihilated and left on the ground gasping for air.
"So... you're father killed the man you respected most? That's messed up..." Val never knew his father, but he assumed it be like if his father killed his mother. Erm... Or something like that at least. "But, atleast now I understand what you mean. You aren't trying to kill me... y-you aren't, right?" Was he his father? ...Why on earth did he just think that. "Sorry, I'm an idiot sometimes." He laughed. "Who is your father, by the way?"

Ooc:Sorry I haven't seen this for like two weeks.
Ic:Selibas laughed. "NO I'm not trying to kill you. I only say that so I can say it with proper intensity with my actual father. My Father is a Berneese Wyvern Rider on the side of Illia I believe, but I'm not sure. His name is Yerna Cinderfelt and when I'm done with my Sacaen business I intend to handle him." Selibas looked at the taller boy. Why did people have to get that big?

OoC: S'alright. I'm in no rush.
"Good, because if you were..." Val thought for a second, his head tilted and looking out of the corner of his eye to the blue sky above. He returned with a cheesy laugh. "I'd probably start crying or something actually. Well, you know what they say, practice makes perfect." He crossed his arms, the stinging in his arm going away.
"I don't think I've ever heard of him, but then again I don't know a lotta people... but if her's a wyvern rider you might have your work cut out for you. The lance is the best choice of weapon against a sword, it's length and small striking area makes it easy to pierce defensive stances and bypass shields while keeping them a safe distance away from the wielder." Val nodded as he spoke, this was something he knew what he was talking about. He's made both lances and blades. "Especially effective in formations, but bad in close quarters where the sword and axe shine. But seeing as he's a wyvern rider... getting him close would be a task in and of itself."
Val laughed. "Oops, sorry. I kinda... get carried away when I talk about weapons. Just don't ask me about my sword, I'll never shut up." This felt awfully familiar, like he's said the same thing before to someone else... "I wish you luck with that."

Selibas smiled. That was the exact same way Chlane had mentioned it. Selibas knew the axe would be his best bet for beating a spearman. So Selibas spoke up, "Yeah my teacher told me that. If a the time I fight him I'm good enough I should use an axe. You know a lot about weapons. But I guess you're a blacksmith so that might make sense." Selibas thought for a second. Maybe Valcrist could design a sword capable of beating a lance.

"Y-yeah." Val smiled. "I can design you a weapon. If, if you want." He laughed nervously. "That was... It was my specialty. The designing that is. The actual smithing is what I was working on when I left my home. I got a lot of practice when I traveled with the army in Lycia though... A lot of repairing of weapons, and forging new ones." He remembered back when he traveled with the group. Most of his nights were filled with him staying up to late hours working in the forge, then falling asleep after his body was so tired he could barely stand. Sometimes he'd catch someone awake and they would talk...
"I'll make you a new weapon in congratulations of you winning your duel." Val grinned widely. He already had a good idea of what it would look like in his head. "We'd have to wait until we get some iron and a forge first, but most tribes around here have a portable one I could use..." He muttered, tapping his chin. "Tell me, what kinda weapon do you want? Something simple? Something elaborate?"

Hmm. He knew it might be impracticle to want something ellaborate. ut it would be kind of cool to unsheath is blade and have ever warrior even the Holy Paladin Rayl or Renegade Mercenary Ritcher admire it. But Chlane wouldn't approve so Selibas decided to compromise. "How about if it's just intimidating?"

"Intimidating?" Val rubbed his chin in thought. "Hrm... I don't have much experience with intimidating. Buuuut..." He smiled, and pounded his self on the chest. "Just leave it to me! I'm good at this sort of thing!" Now how would an intimidating weapon be? Remember, it has to be perfectly functional as well. The blade Yaen carried, a Wyrmslayer, that was intimidating. He should use it as a reference. It was still fresh in his mind, he never forgot a weapon.
"So, what would you like it made of? Iron, steel, all that has different properties that impact the design if you want it to be just right. Smithing an iron sword is different then smithing a steel one which is different from Silver. Killer weapons are just a bit of an alloy that are created with the design to cause the most damage possible. The blades rip flesh, lances pierce even thick armor, all of them. But they are expensive to make. A wrymslayer is incredibly difficult to create, and require certain materials that are hard to find. Similar to longsword, they require specific techniques that make them uncommon but useful against cavalry. " Val said in a matter-of-fact kinda way.
