Guinevere looked up at Roland with an embarrassed look. "Yes, I'm sorry about that, I didn't know that would happen." She let go of the side and tried to get her feet. She did, albe it very shakily. "W-What were we talking about again?" She looked embarrassed again, but the sickness had cleaned her mind of virtually everything that had recently happened. She ship took a little rock and Gwen lost her footing again, stumbling around till she grabbed onto the side. "I hate this ship..." Se tried to let go again, but stumbled right into Roland. "I'm sorry!"

Carefully, now that he was actually standing, Aaron began walking along the deck of the ship. It was too bad he was sick. Normally, his footing was quite sure, but being seasick contributes negatively to most things.
With all the rocking going on, it took a few more steps than it ought to, but the Green-haired mage eventually managed to make his way over to a cluster of barrels. On the barrels, were small cups, tied to the valves. Taking the nearest cup, Aaron filled it and took a drink. He spit it out pretty quick though. That was not water. That was some form of port, or rum, or something like that. Sheesh. What were these sailors? Pirates? Or were they just drunks. He hoped that they'd be able to actually get them to Bern.
The next cannister was labeled as "Water", much to Aaron's relief, and he managed to take a few long drinks of that before feeling better. Soon enough, he figured he'd be completely recovered. Leaving thetop deck, Aaron moved to the bottom, deciding to wander the ship a bit.
Hmm... I doubt these sailors will even consider taking us on the return voyage. Walking through the halls, Aaron had to steady himself a few times on the walls. He still didn't feel completely recovered in terms of balance. With a quick toss, the ship flung Aaron against the wall, which he bounced off of, and rolled into the library, right by Jade.
Looking up from his place on the floor, Aaron simplified things. "I'm not having a very good voyage." Pulling himself to his feet, and moving quickly to a nearby seat, he sat himself down, and tried to hold himself in place. "How about you? You seem fairly at ease, Jade."

"Well milady..." Roland just kinda crossed his arms with a chuckle. "I was jus tryin ta get ta know the people I'm travelin with." The mercenary nodded with a laugh. "Truth be'told, a lotta mercs don't like to get ta know their pardners. Soldiers too. They just go on an follow orders, I say, it's best ta know who you're gonna be with. Makes everything more bearable, but ya'know courtesy is dead these days." He looked at her again, his arms unfolded. He just joking, but there was a certain truth to his own words that made him feel a bit uneasy.
"Oh, careful there..." He caught her on the way down, holding her body up. He looked at her with a laugh in his smile, "It's alright, I don't mind." He helped her back to her feet and allowed her to stand herself. "As much as this ship is a burden, atleast something good came out of it."

Ah that salt air! The gentleman stayed in the crow's nest, without a doubt making the lackey up there with him nervous as Inigo was now sitting on the RIM of the aloft basket, letting the breeze tickle his mustache...it was almost as good the sacaen plains. Almost. THAT was a memory that would stay fresh in his mind, of course now wasn't the time for reminiscing, lest he fall off! Taking a moment to look down, he watched Aaron wander off somewhere, and the Sabin man (who STILL hadn't fixed that mangy beard of his...he'd have to have a talk with that ruffian later.), then eyed his goddaughter, talking to that other man...
Inigo was still sure that man was a spy, of course he wasn't about to jump down there and accost him for all his pryin- wait what is this?! PHYSICAL CONTACT?! Okay, maybe he'd reconsider jumping down. with this, he made his way back to the ladder, and gripped the sides for a moment before swinging back and onto the ladder and sliding down and back onto the main deck. From here, he checked his balance on the boat, standing in one place for a moment and shuffling forward and backwards: just in case he'd have to do anything...messy, let's just say.
Thus he made his way to the two, making to walk past, though as he did so, his mind told him something: Not to interfere. He wasn't sure why...so instead he just turned his head slightly to eye them from the corners of his eyes, and gave her a pat on the back while snickering a bit before he continued forwards and for the stairs down into the belly of the vessel: may as well chit chat with those other-people-who-obviously-aren't-spies. Making his way down the halls, he finally caught sight of a tuft of green hair, and the small boy nearby him. Without a word he made for them duo, and soon was leaning against one of the ship walls, "...So any of you kids ever been to Bern? It's usually nice in the summer time: doesn't get as hot as Etruria usually does."
Small Talk. One of those gentlemanly things that even he hated.

OoC: Sorry I haven't posted. But a few drunk Mernatel posts.
Mernatel had been helping the crew out with some things. Strangely the mountain man was quite fine with the rocking of the boat. He didn't know why. But as he heard an offer for Fire Whiskey the knight picked up the nearest bottle and went to see the others he had came with in the library.
At first he was his usual solitary self. But alcohal was willing to loosen his tounge a bit. And he put his arm around the mustached man. He laughed as he mentioned his home country. He leaned in, toward a bookshelf, pulling the man with him. He yelled thinking he was whispering, "I don't think you know the true face of Bern my friend. It isn't all about temperatures."
He sat down next to the Green Haired mage. Andy? Yeah. He told the man, "Andy I think you need to make sure nobody gets too drunk. You and Ganiel, you being Andy, need to take charge." He grinned. Then he saw a large pirate walk by. He stood up and yelled, stumbling toward the man, "HEY! You wanna arm wrestle?"

OoC: Its not a Pirate Ship as far as I know... Also, Aaron is down in the library with Jade and not on the main deck... And, CAC ADMIN STUFF PLEASE!
BiC: Jade was reading the book, and hardly noticed anything when Aaron fell in. In fact, he didn't even notice anything at all even when the weird guy in blue clothes walked in and talked. In fact, Jade was so engrossed that even if the whole world exploded, Jade wouldn't notice a thing. So Jade did not say anything in response to the two who had just walked into the room. It was just like the good old days again for Jade, for the same thing had happened when he was reading at home.

"And that is why I stay away from alcohol." Aaron stated calmly as the bernese knight went chasing off after the sailor. "He's so muddled he doesn't even know how far he's off." Andy? Ganiel? Gruesome distortions of the names Aaron, and Gabriel.
"I've never traveled to Bern, Sir Inigo, though I've studied some of it's more well known landmarks. And thoroughfares. I'd guess that you've been there before, from how you're speaking. What are your impressions of the place?"

he watched idly as Mernatel came in, but then his eyes widened ever so slightly as the drunken bum rested on his shoulder for awhile, no doubt going to leave dirt prints on his imported jacket, Hmph! The dirty mongrel knew nothing of public decency! as the drunken spear-man wandered off to arm wrestle a pirate, Inigo took a light hold of the book with which Jade was reading, and pried it from the young boy's hands,"It's impolite to disregard your elders, Sir Reglay." any other kid he'd probably scold them harshly, but his tone stayed respectful in it's reminder, as he closed the book and read the cover:
"Hm. I read this one when I was about your age, so I won't spoil the ending for you." He would have if it was anyone else's kid," As for Bern, I've been there a few times when I traveled the continent with my beloved, though nothing beats the plains of Sacae in the fall. The grass is still crisp as ever and the wind flows through it and creates waves...waves that won't make you seasick, my friend!" There was mild friendliness in his tone as he changed his conversation, having gotten off course, and turned it into a joke," But it has been some time since I was last in Bern, though it will without a doubt be as beautiful as I remember...only this time there's going to be a bunch of cocky Ilians and rash(er than usual,am I right? *OOC joke*) Bernese people everywhere.

Even up this high, Saffra could smell the salty breeze of the ocean. The clouds skimmed across her body on all sides, and her large size easily cut swaths into them. There was little care in her spirit at the moment, she was free high above, and in no place that anyone could see her. Or so she thought.
As the clouds broke, Saffra could see a boat sailing, and it wasn't too far down, not directly below, but instead in a path that if anyone peered up into the sky, they wouldn't see her so well. She was thankful for the colour of scales she was born with, a very very light blue, bordering on white, which would hide her well in the sky especially at this height. Then, a thought popped into her head, and in her own fashion, a smirk grew along those white scales of her maw, and took off at a distance, fleeing away from the ship, until it was barely out of sight, and then plummeted towards the ocean.
Tucking in deep, Saffra straightened out, and pierced the water like an arrow, and dove deep. She grew up in the Western Isles, water was her friend. her wings and legs pulled into her body, she used her tail mainly to propel herself through the water at tremendous speed to resurface. She slowed, and poked her head out of the salty water. For a moment, Saffra thought she had lost the boat in the distance, being a little disoriented from the landing in the water, but after a quick time scanning the horizon, she could see it clear as day, and then went towards it, breathing a deep breath, and diving once again.
-
It took a bit of time, in which Saffra had to resurface once to regain air supply, but she did catch up. Saffra kept low in the water. She was a bit bigger than this boat, but if she was too high up, anyone looking into the water would see her. Sticking under the boat, she tried to be mindful of her claws as she rolled onto her back underwater, and latched onto the bottom, and began to amuse herself. Humans were so prone to sea-sickness, why not have some fun with it?
Saffra began to rock the boat even more than the waves were currently, but was careful not to be too violent with it. If she had, she would possibly cause it to capsize, and well, that would soil her honor. Careful not to create drag, Saffra helped propel the boat with her tail, so as to not alert anyone. There was still a chance to be discovered, but that made it even more exciting.

Aaron listened interestedly as Inigo spoke. He couldn't help but feeling like the man had missed what he was asking about though. "Hmm... Waves like those would be most welcome right about now, but, Sir Inigo, you've spoken of Bern's sights. What about it's people? Will they be responsive to outside help? Will they help us gather the information we need?" Small talk wasn't a concept this mage understood very well. He needed conversation that was either interesting, like Inigo's past, or constructive, like advice on the people of Bern. Saying that "it would be as beautiful as he remembered it" wouldn't cut it."
At that time, Aaron felt a few small shudders through the deck, almost like a half-dozen small waves hitting quickly against the hull, or maybe a few large fishes knocking on the bottom of the ship. The ship seemed to be moving more violently too, though not a great deal so. The Mage still decided to grab onto the nearest steady objects for support though, watching Inigo still leaning on the wall. "Need a hand there?"

Sabin took another deep swig and finished the bottle of firewhisky. He was feeling light... very happy. The world around him became a blur and Sabin could not recognise anyone near him anymore. He walked about clumsily and used his axe for support. Sometimes when he almost fell, he swung his axe on to some thing and used it as an anchor, but because of that he broke whatever the axe hit.
But then, he started feeling a little dizzy. Perhaps he had drunk too much... and the ship had started shaking a bit more than usual. It swung to the left som much that Sabin lost balance and fell on to on of the railings, hurting his head a lot.
Then his eyes widened as he looked below and thought he saw a sea serpent. "GAH! I'LL CATCH YOU NOW! MY FIRST SEA SERPENT CAPTURE!" he screamed, and as he was about to jump down, the ship shook again to the right, and he fell on to a group of crates with apples. One of them broke, and Sabin took an apple from the crates and started eating it. "Mmmm.... tastes good." he said.

When the book was snatched from him, Jade was still slightly lost in the book, and therefore, did not even react at all.... until about a few minutes later when he realised that the book was already taken from him and he was unable to read anymore. By the time that happened, though, the weird gentleman had already finished his lecture or whatever it was that old people usually had for children who ignored them.
"Urrgh... Well, can I have the book back? I'm almost halfway through it already...", Jade asked, while blinking slightly, looking around at who had just came inside. So far, he only saw Aaron and the weird gentleman there.

Grayson was a bit put off by Roland's sudden change in behavior. It was odd. Like the drink was affecting how he acted. Grayson had had alcohol before, he was a big fan of red wine, but he'd never seen it do this to someone before. He took a whiff of the liquid in the bottle. It emitted a smell akin to the solution his family's groundkeeper used to keep insects off of the flowers, but even stronger still. Grayson's head spun from the smell just as the ship began to rock. He lost his balance, catching his boot on a nearby stack of rope, and the bottle flew from his hand into the sea.
Grayson watched while holding on to the railing of the continuously rocking ship as the bottle plummeted into the blue water. A red cloud could be seen staining the otherwise pristine view. Grayson looked around to see if Roland saw. Biting his right index finger's nail, he shuffled down to the library where he found a few of the group members hanging on as the ship still rocked.
"Um... Do any of you happen to know why the ship is moving like this?" he asked with a bit of his nerves from losing the whiskey peeking into his voice.

Guinevere steadied herself off of Roland. "Again, sorry about that... And what good came of this?" She asked, curious. She wasn't sure if he meant they got to know each other a little better or if he was a perv and copped a feel when she tripped. Could be either at this point for all she knew. And that's when the side started to rock back and forth again. With it went her stomach and she knew that that was not a good thing. She held her stomach as it rocked and felt something rising up that shouldn't be going the way it way. She tried to make her way back towards the side to make it go into the water. But then the boat rocked again. And she stumbled again. And before she knew it... She had thrown up all over Roland. "I-I'm so so-" but her apology got cut off when she threw up again, managing to get it over the side this time. "...sorry..." But before she could say anymore, it was back over the side she went to get rid of more of her previously eaten food. She was really gonna need to eat soon.

Holding the book out of reach of the young man, Inigo let it dangle in his hand for awhile before he stuffed it away into his jacket," You can have it back when you learn to listen when your elder's speak to you. If your father was here he'd be disappointed in you, believe you me, I've met the man." Nobility: always meeting each other. Eccentric man, Lord Reglay was.
Looking back over to Aaron, he opened his mouth to respond, as the ship began to rock more violently. He stumbled a bit, but then reached an arm out to keep Jade from falling over onto the hard wooden floor: his trip out of Etruria had been like this, though the weather conditions then had been unideal, but today...crystal clear skies and waters...it shouldn't be this bad... shaking his head to Aaron's comment, he pointed a hand behind the drunken Mernatel and to the stairs to the top deck," The people of Bern love their country more than they do anything else: If anyone or anything came along to aid them in removing the Ilian government: they'd join in a heart beat...but the ilian's have a strong grasp of the country, and it's highly beneficial to their own people to keep it...what ever it is we're going to do...it's not going to be easy in the long run...Come, let's check up deck...and if you want your book back, you'd best pay attention to what your elders say unless you want me to spoil what happens to the noble midway into the journey through the desert." With this he gave Jade a smirk, a nod to Aaron, and a shake of his head in disapproval to Mernatel's drunekn foolery as he made his way back up the the ship deck...
...in time to see Sabin holler about a sea serpent and fall over into a an apple crate," Somebody get that drunken mutt somewhere where he won't damage anything valuable!" with this he made his way over to the side of the ship, peering into the water, before leaning back against the railing," Heh...sea serpents...if there WAS one, it's probably pop out of the water or bust a hole in the hull or something."
...then Gwen was next to him hurling over the side...and earlier on Roland...He gave her a comforting pat on the back, having learned that was something that helped soothed seasickness, and spoke just out of Roland's earshot,"Good girl Gwenie, Good girl..."
Puking on a spy... Priceless.
