Synkkis kept his eyes on Scarlet with his arms crossed. He wasn't sure if he could trust her, but her skills presented a lot of options to the battlefield. She was quick and nimble. A perfect scout and someone to draw attention. She could certainly handle herself as long as she had someone with a lot of strength beside her to take care of the enemy stupid enough to try and attack her. Things were looking up for the group. The Ilian might just hang around.
Kyyneltya walked over to the bar with the bolt in hand and handed it to the barkeep. "Consider it payment for the bottle of whiskey you're going to be handing me, right?" the dark pupil spoke with piercing eyes and a hint of evil in his calm and collected voice. This was enough pursuasion. She didn't want any black ball of doom near her! As the girl prepared his drink, he turned to Selibas and Archer, who were conversing. "If those men have the coin, they will surely put a bounty on us. Starting to collect a bit of infamy and we haven't even started a job yet? I am impressed."
Synkkis took both the glass and the bottle of whiskey to his chair and lifted his boots onto the table. Although things were a little dirty considering Scarlet and the man at the bar, the black-shirted man felt extremely self-confident after seeing the damage he dealt with his tome.

OOC: Apologies for late post. My posts will likely only be in evenings, so feel free to bring my char along without making any decisions, and no fighting with him. But if we're at one location and are traveling, feel free to control him a bit.
IC: The mood inside the tavern had definitely changed. One of the hulking, burly men who had attacked the thief was down on the floor, being hit by a blast of dark magic. I managed to keep myself under control, but to me, magic was something unnatural, something difficult for me to understand. It wasn't concrete, like science, or wielding a blade. It relied on strange forces of nature and natural talent. It was one of my few weaknesses, and if you looked close, my pulse had definitely spiked at the blast of energy.
"What's your name?" The lead man asked me. I hadn't bothered to pay attention to any of their names, and would probably still refer to them by names I came up with...I saw no reason to dignify these individuals with respect they hadn't earned. I considered this for a moment, then answered.
"Archer", I stated simply. "And yes, I'm interesting in joining with you." I would speak to this man one on one later and discuss some possible rates for my work...I don't see how these two unskilled individuals along with us deserved as much as we did, but time would show their true talent.
I looked the man steadily in the eye, almost daring him, keeping up this partial charade of hostility we had going. Not moving my eyes, I took a drink of water, saved from the commotion, although getting quite warm. Still, after living from the land, any civilization felt great.

OoC : What time is it here? Night?
"Alright." Asri frowned, she disliked the idea to gather at dawn. She hadn't got enough sleep lately and she had to get up early tomorrow, the thief started to regret this idea. She just stood here when Selibas left her to talk with archer. She eavesdropped their conversation. "Archer? Weird name. And he isn't carrying a bow but a sword instead." But that didn't take her attention too much as she more focused to the purple robed man. "That's dirty." She muttered, loud enough for Synkiss to hear but she wouldn't care.
Asri walked toward the bar. "The most expensive one." She handed a few gold coins as she said. Soon, she got a bottle of red wine and a glass, the previous one she was drinking when those men disturbed her peaceful time. Leaning on the bar, she poured the wine to her glass. She always wanted to drink liquor before going to sleep.
"At least they have money." She referred to the men who attacked her earlier. If anyone looked closer, she had two new brown wallets in her left hand.

(( OOC: It's more midday, but we can suggest that the actions from earlier to now have taken up enough time for dusk. ))
Synkkis looked over to Asri with a cocked eyebrow. "Which? The negotiations, the feet, or is there something else about my manner that upsets you?" He checked his feet and they weren't particularly dirty. The pub wasn't that much cleaner. He took another sip of whiskey... An imported "fruity" drink where he came from, but he didn't care. He wasn't looking to get plastered.
Her last words cemented his suspiscions of her being a quickblade. "Scarlet, we are departing in the late morning for Bern's capital. You should seek lodging if you haven't a room already." He poured himself another glass of his firewater, inspecting the poster for any flaws.

"Your boots. But don't worry. I don't really care." Asri lifted her glass and drank the wine, it was her fifth bottle today. Well. it wouldn't be enough to give her a hangover tomorrow morning, but nothing could easily make her drunk. Her alcohol resistance was amazing, she began drinking liquor when she was twelve years old.
"Don't worry about me. I have rented a room in the inn near the city fountain. The one with red wall if you don't know." That was the most expensive inn in this city, how did she pay? You had to figure the answer. Asri took another sip before speaking again. "You must worry about yourselves, I heard most of the inn was full since yesterday."

Without looking at Scarlet, Selibas said, "Got a room here." He got up putting the real payment for Synkkis' drink on the bar. Then saying to the Shaman, "I'm going to take down those posters, might be gone a bit."
Selibas left the bar the rain hitting his face first. He walked toward the closest poster. He had put two on each street, and this was a decent sized town. He pulled the nail out with his sword's crosspeice. He slid the nail into his pocket, he had to pay for those. He walked towards the other one on the street, with a little more speed, sliding the original poster into a bag on his lower back.
Thunder boomed, and the rain picked up as people moved out of the streets. Except for one group of men harrasing a woman. Selibas didn't like that. He made hs way over unsheathing his trusty sword, the old slim blade looked pretty worn down. He should replace it while he's in town, it had never fit him to well. As Selibas got near enough for the group to notice him a giant hand leaped out of an allyway, grabbing the man who seemed to be the ringleader.
The other men got extremely confused, A few made a break for it the others drew daggers from their belts. But out of the shadows walked the large man Selibas had fought a while ago in the streets of another city in Bern. He lifted his leg so high that a kicked the man in the chest. The guy almost flew. The other men ran away, not wanting to meet the same fate. The man stepped toward Selibas who was helping the woman up. As the woman stepped away the giant said, "Hello Selibas, you don't know my name, it's Lanos."
Selibas nodded as the man continued, "After our fight, Samen found me. He recruited me to the Syndicate." He showed a singed tatoo matching Selibas' on his wrist. The diamond with four lines almost meeting in the center. "And I am here to give you a message, about a mile or so southeast the bandit hideout controled by the COD, they want you to capture it since it is practically unguarded. Also while you're there in one of the main corridors in the center, Grey believes there are documents stating plans and recruits of the COD. Wer want you to get them and take them with you. A messenger will find you. Also I have this." He pulled out of his pocket a spherical cloth. Selibas unwrapped it to find a large Red Gem. Lanos said, "That's to help you with supplies, and this too," he pulled out a massive bag obviously filled with coins. "To pay your companions so they believe it's a Mercenary mission. If you'll excuse me I have to see the official messenger of the Syndicate here."
Selibas nodded, and went back to taking down posters, occasionally stopping to admire the red gem.

"Decadent arrangements, Scarlet. How regal and... complimentary." he replied, almost mockingly in a sarcastic tone. He wasn't bothered by her methods. He would only be dissapointed if she were to try and pass it off as something else just out of self-promotion.
Synkkis nodded towards Selibas as he left the room. Taking another sip of his drink, he sat back and relaxed, feeling himself melt into the shadow of the corner he was in. It felt as if the darkness was waxing and waning towards his being. Also, he could swear he could hear whispers and spectres flash at the edges of his vision.
One of four things: He was poisoned, he was drunk, he was tired, or he was getting in touch with the other realm... something he had to be cautious of. Either way, he stood up quickly, looking around the room. "Ich muss ins Bett zu bekommen. Wo ist der Raum wieder?" he asked himself, not paying any mind to anyone else. He collected his cape and wrapped it around him, the texture reminding him of home. Home... So far away...

Asri looked at Synkkis, he behaved very weird suddenly and started to speak in different language. What happened? She didn't bother to ask and just watched him while sipping her wine. When he looked calmer, Asri walked toward him carrying the bottle with her. "I don't know what's wrong with you," she said as she stood in front of him with a hand on her waist, looked annoyed. "This wine can make you feel relaxed." She poured the wine to a empty glass on the table before leaving him and the tavern without saying a single word.
Asri left the tavern and headed to her inn to get some sleep. Geez, she had to wake up early tomorrow. She walked on a small street for a while before getting into the main street. The thief looked around as she didn't really remember where her inn was, especially because her head felt hurt after drinking. After she was sure, (or just randomly chose) she headed to the center of the town where she could see a beautiful fountain. That meant her inn was near, and yes, it was just few meters from the fountain.
Nothing stood on her way, she actually hoped those two stupid men would be waiting for her around here but they weren't, she arrived in her room quite easily. As soon as she locked the door, she threw herself onto the bed and gradually closed her eyes.

Selibas walked into the blacksmith unnoticed. So when the blacksmith saw him from behind him he thought Selibas was a particularlly tall child. Which he was, but a child who had fought in his share of battles. So the blacksmith said, "I won't be lettin' ya buy somthin' for your pa." Selibas turned with a calm expression, and waled to the counter the man stood behind. The man saw Selibas' large bits of stubtle he didn't know how to shave, and realised his mistake. Selibas kicked his sheath and grabbed his hilt, he placed the blade on the table.
He pointed at a chip in the miiddle of on edge, "Lycia." Then a large portion of places with problems across the blade, "Nabata." Then another, "Bern." The biggest, "Sacae." "My pa. Don't need a blade, but I'll take that Iron sword." The short blade capable of being weilded by the small swordsman, was handed to him. Selibas made his way back to the inn.
Selibas saw Synkkis and moved to him. He saw a young gir probably little older than him across the room. He put up a weak smile. She must of felt his low self confidence, because she started looking at some guy that was probably a bandit anyway. Selibas turned to the Shaman, "I'm going to bed, remember, an hour after dawn." Selibas went up stairs and went into his room. Stupid Cities, beds aren't that good. He closed his eyes and he was gone.
--
Selibas was sittin at a table in the Wyvern's Arm about a half hour after dawn. He had said an hour, so he should be early. He waited.

The lone white-haired man sat atop the inn just on his room's windowsill. The tiling was slippery and steep, which he slid his boots across as he watched the dawn come. The man's purple cloak dipped out from the sill as well as the man's napsack. He opened the bag and pulled out his tome. He woke up particularly early... Witching hour. His eyes proved evident of that. He felt strange, changed, but more... in control. He felt more confident. He sensed something familiar within himself. It was like he knew what it was, he recognized it as something from before, yet it was at the edges of his memory.
An odd obsession developed between Synkkis and his book. 'Der Altere Kunst: Flusse' was printed on the front. It was a language he was only slightly familiar with. What came over him last night? Perhaps his nightly vision was of no coincidence. He had to share at least some of it with Selibas. It could be important.
Synkkis could be heard descending the staircase, where Selibas was waiting. It was a quarter until they had to meet, but it looks like Selibas beat him to the punch... even if he wasn't expecting himself to be early.
"Moin Moin, Selibas. Did you sleep well?" Kyyneltya asked, rubbing his eyes and putting his brow into his hand.

Asri was arrived in the pub, she opened the door slowly and looked inside. "Everything's safe," she said. It was dangerous to open a door when many peoples hated her, they might have been waiting with weapons. She casually entered the pub and stopped after five steps to search for those two men. "Ah..." She had found them.
"Hey..." Asri waved to them as she walked toward them. She pulled a chair and sat on it, crossing her legs under the table and leaning against the chair. "Geez, I am still sleepy..." She grumbled. Looking at Synkkis, she knew that she wasn't the only one who felt sleepy here. "So, do you have a job for me?"

Synkkis smiled, though he muffled up the tip of his strong gaunt Ilian chin against the cold table. He felt... rotten on the inside. "So you appear. This will be... Interesting."
The dark pupil turned to Selibas and repeated Asri's question as his own. "Hmm... Has our party aquired a mission? Ah... I could really something to perk me up right about now."
He covered his head for a moment with his hood. He wasn't ready for the morning sun just yet.

OoC: Sorry for my lack of posting
Ic: Selibas smiled as the two came and sat. He thought how to mention the mission. An old man, a peasant seeking revenge, or maybe the truth? No that would do nothing but hurt them. He thought for a bit.
Finally he stood up and said, "We in fact all have a mission. A cavern sotheast if here houses a group of bandits. It is scarcley g-guarded at this point, and the militia captain would like us to...vacate it, so his men can hold it and rid this land of the b-bandits. We have roughly five hundred coins. Asri I believe this would be a good t-taste of your loyalty. I will pay you based on performance. Synkkis the same for this mission. The balance will go to helping the company." Selibas subtley signaled at an old man with a small Syndicate insigina on the lower knuckle of his right middle finger.

"Five hundreds? Not bad for my first payment...But I must ask you something." Asri smirked and stared at Selibas, he still couldn't speak normally to her which made her want to exploit this part of him. "I just wanted to know more about our job, like the exact location, the plan, and the number of enemies and allies. I will not risk my life for something that uncertain." She had done dirty jobs so many times, cheating and bluffing were always part of the jobs. This job about fighting bandits didn't sound bad, but considering that they were a new mercenary group, there was a good possibility that their employer were playing dirty tricks on them.
"Information is the most important weapon these days you know." She added.
