"Very well. Always glad to have you on board, Saffra" Gabriel said, smiling. "I'll guess I'll have to brief you on the situation, then" he added, and proceeded to tell her what had happened since she left at Laus. He didn't want to bore her, though, so a condensed version of the events would suffice.
"As you can see, the marquess of Pherae wasn't very clear when he said 'help'. Whether we will actually help the bernese with their rebellion or help the ilians subdue the rebels, I don't know. For the moment, we'll simply watch."
"Oh" he had almost forgotten. "Just in case anyone asks, we're...traveling performers. Of some sort, it doesn't matter. Just a simple facade to avoid having Lycia involved. At least for now. Thankfully, none of us has any actual lycian emblem on us, and our clothes show no real alignment. Though given the smell here, we would probably change our clothes as soon as we step outside, anyway."
He turned to look around at the rest of the group. This port town would be the first place they would try and get information, though. But they had to be discreet. They didn't want to cause a ruckus right off the bat.

Wyatt stretched his legs, disembarking after he finished unloading the boat.
"Yo ho a pirates life for me, and all that." He muttered. "Don't think I'll ever be a sailor, but it wasn't a terrible trip." He spied Aaron and some women over by one side and moved over that way.
"So I take it you guys are going to be in the area for a while, eh?" He inquired, nodding to the female companion with a smile. "If I know you guys, I'll just have to look for the signs of trouble to find you. It does seem to follow you everywhere you go." he teased.

Saffra gave a chuckle, finding that idea for being a traveling band of performers to be rather...intuitive. She mused over the idea, and moved with Gabriel, not wanting to be left behind. At mention of the smell, however, Saffra couldn't see what the issue was. She liked fish afterall. Very easy source of food to come by.
"Well, I just got these clothes since last we were together, they're still pretty good, and it's not like I carry money on myself...so I don't think I'll change..."
Murmuring to herself, she decided to bring up the preforming arts once again.
"Well, I could help fit that role...but you know, your image would definitely be much more believable had you the equipment to bring with you, a tent and such...but.." Saffra held up a hand, and gave a bow. "I think I could help with the ruse. I am quite good at balance, and...I can eat, well, breathe fire!"
Saffra just gave a big grin. and looked for the others, noting how that Inigo person kept away from her. What kind of emotional wound did the man suffer, she wondered..

((I was recentely warned about not posting in succesion so sorry all))
Gaven was awakened by his deep slumber to see the commander of the camp staring at him.
“What do you want” Gaven asks rubbing his eyes trying to get himself awake. After joining this camp and finding which weapon he would use, he had laid down for a well deserved rest. The mercenary had said that he would get to sleep in the day, yet he is being awoken right now, in daylight. That is the absurd way of this life.
“We need you to buy supplies” he says. “Your parents may provide us with weapons but to keep the men alive and their moral high we need food. Because you are the most innocent one here it falls to you. It will be suspected less if they see a kid running around buying food then grown men.”

Gaven listened to that and in his mind he thought it was a viable argument yet. “Won’t it be weird if I am carrying tons of food?”
“Just say you’re the servant of Illian, because you look like one. Take your armor and your lance though because bandits are less likely to attack someone armed.”
"Won't if will be obvious if i am wearing armor?"
"Stop questoning my judgment boy" he growls. The mercenary then hands him the list that has a variety of food on it. The next thing he hands him is a pouchful of gold and he says “ I am also placing my trust in you that you won’t desert and use this gold yourself.”
”No sir I wouldn’t desert on my honor”
“Pah honor means nothing here kid just make sure you get all the supplies and gold back here in one piece.”
”Umm… sir which city am I going to?” Gaven asked because there were quite a few cities in Bern and he had no idea which one his commander wanted him to go.
“Go to one of Bern’s seaport I don’t care which. Also take that old mare over there” points to the horse stabled beside the armory.
”Also if you don’t within 10 minutes are cutting your ration in half.” Gaven just stares blank at him after he said that.
”sigh just get going” then he grumbles under his breath “Kids... there’s a reason why I never had them”

Gaven proceeded to fumble with trying to get his armor for quite some time. From all the racket he was making with the armor a man woke up. When he came over he feared he was in trouble instead he asked if he needed help latching the straps Gaven replied “I need to learn this by myself otherwise it will hinder me later”
Nevertheless the man offered his advice to Gaven about how to get in on and Gaven listened attentively. Finally after 30 minutes Gaven was ready with everything in his hand. He had to pund on a door outside the stable to wake the stable boy up. Then he waited buy the mare. A sleepy-boy about his age came over partially stumbling and saddled up the horse. The saddle was a worn-leather brown and looked like it was broken in considerably well.
Gaven tried to mount the horse and when he got up he accidentally miscalculated his bearings and ended falling over the horse on the other side. The stable hand couldn’t avoid laughing and said “Shining knight, can’t even ride his horse” It was quite odd though because he had a sleepy tone so it didn't have its desired effect and sounded rather stupid. Also the sleepiness dulled his senses.
Gaven looked at him nonplussed. What the kid said wasn’t even funny and didn’t make any sense “I think you need to stop staring at grass all-day. Also take some joke classes... They really will help you in life.” was Gaven reply.
When Gaven tried to mount again it went better with Gaven not falling out this time. It was still very uncomfortable and Gaven would never be able to fight on horseback because his lance would miss more than usual. The stable hand loaded up the rest of the bags and slapped the horse.
The horse flicked his tail in the stable hands face, which was awarded with coughs, and then started off at a leisurely pace. Gaven didn’t have any control were he was going and hoped the horse had a better sense of direction. He prayed with all of his might that they were going to a Bern seaport and not heading towards the Illian province/country.

"Well that matters little does it not? You are who you are, and that is Sir Grayson Pintel, and don't you forget it! Denying yourself your past closes the door to your future he gave the boy a pat on the back as he turned back to face that scruffy brigand," And here's something else you need to learn," With this, the fencer drew another comb from his pocket and held it out," Last thing we need is suspicion thrown your way. Why: you look less off than the pirates that- well, you just look like a pirate. Now comb up and fix that, hmm?" He smirked before forcing the comb in Sabin's hand, before returning the gloved appendage to the hilt of his blade:
"It's been awhile since I stepped foot in Bern, so I'm not sure how much an Ilian Occupied southern Bern compares to a liberated northern bern from eight years back, so I guess I'll be considering it an Adventure Renewed!"

After Traveling undecidable minutes/hours Gaven finally reached to what he could tell would be the starting of a town. The ride had been boring and dull so Gaven had let the mare guide him while he read his book. He has read the book many times but in boredom, he reads. The book was a fantasy novel with knights and dragons.
The city quite frankly wasn't beautiful by any standards. The houses all had a rugged look and some were charred. There was very few tall buildings and the tall ones were out for maintenance. Also from what Gaven could see the people moved sluggishly not really life to its fullest. The toll of Bern rising up with the bandits is still evident, sadly.
"What is the purpose of you coming here" a guard asks curiously stepping in front of my path. the guard had ragged leathery armor and a naked sword was resting uneasily to his right. He was obviously new to him because he asked this in a kindly way instead of the menacing way real guards acquire. Luckily the horse stopped in time otherwise we would have run over him. He did though rear and Gaven tumbled off his back. The guard offers him a hand and Gaven accepts it gratefully.
"I am hear on Illian business for my master." Gaven says in a tone that pretty much says "I wish I wasn't." Inside though Gaven stomach was griping in apprehension. and Gaven was ready to sprint it things didn't turn out right.
"Why do you have that" the guard asks pointing to the apex of my lance.
"Because I have to protect myself from bandits."
"Aye" the soldier says obviously not convinced. "Why are you wearing a nobles armor?"
"Because they want to make sure that the supplies I get back come safe. I mean if i die, the bandits also gets my supplies. Anyway this isn't my armor look at these outlandish colors." he indicates the colors of the armor, even though he hurts inside for condescending his favorite colors.
The man laughed with a jolly laugh and Gaven joined in a little uncertain about how to react. Finally the man ended the awkwardness by saying "A lad your right those are bad colors. Anyway i will take your horse to the stable."The soldier is already moving off with the horse before Gaven could reply. The saddle was still upon the horse back, but the sacks were still resting beside Gaven in the dirt. Gaven grumbled to himself as he put his book back upon his waist and started walking into the city. "Well in all hindsight ,"he thought after being initially mad, "At least i am not in a Illian prison"
Gaven could tell that it was immediately a seaport by the looming sea."Gosh i am stupid to not have seen that before" Gaven said inside his mind. He starts his shopping endeavor for one of the terrorist organization of Bern.
The list was quite enormous and he had no idea were any of these shops were so he was going to have to ask directions to some of these vendors.

Aaron looked back to Wyatt as the axeman approached, and pressed his knuckles into his back. His old blue cloak, the same one he'd been wearing while traveling with Wyatt the year before was getting to be quite tattered now, he found, as he located a hole or two ripped in it.
The mage laughed at the redhead, smiling at old memories. "That may be true, Wyatt, but as I recall, it was you fellows who were in trouble when I found you. Remember?"
"Oh, I should introduce you... Wyatt, this is Lady Guinevere de Altburg, a traveling companion of Sir Rayls." Perhaps more too, Aaron thought to himself, but he didn't feel at liberty to say that. Gwen, this is Wyatt, a smith I met in the hills west of Laus shortly after I left home, and a good stout companion if ever there was one."
Aaron sighed, more of an acceptance of the inevitable, than a depressed sigh. "Actually, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be traveling with you. I've got these thoughts.... buzzing about my head. Dragons and old ruins. Monsters. I just... I want to find out about them. I've not really got more to go on then that." The mage paused for a moment. The others may think of him as something of a deserter, but it was just true. He glanced around, making sure they were alone, and not being over heard. "Honestly, I've never felt very compelled to get involved in the Bern-Illian business. Reeks of too much politics. I should let Gabriel know...."
The green-haired mage suddenly burst into a smile, and accompanying laughter. "Anyway, don't worry. I'll be around for a while yet, should you need any more fires started."

While walking through the town Gaven kept seeing signs that Bern wasn’t fully healed yet; overgrown moss hanging down from building, the ruins of buildings that once housed soldiers, and rotting wood. Gaven tried many successive times trying to get the townspeople attention but everytime he did they would scury away into the crowd, so Gaven couldn’t ask them the question. Gaven had no idea if they considered him a thief or pickpocket but this just wasn’t right for the once strong nation Bern was. Also it was going to be hard to rise up because these people were obviously afraid and fearful people do nothing. Gaven had considered the organization he had worked with was few on members, but after seeing these people Gaven realized he had taken things for granted. Heck they deserve a medal for getting that many members!
Gaven concluded he would have to ask one of the soldiers roaming the streets. If he didn’t he wouldn’t be able to complete his mission before the sun went down and be forced to stay at an inn. He did not want to stay in an enemy city because Gaven wasn’t that foolhardy. Gaven finally realized though that they had no idea that he was a rebel so he was safe. Gaven then started scanning in the distance for soldier to ask.
Finally Gaven spotted a potential subject. From here he could see that there was 3 soldiers clustered together in a trio. One had red hair, the other green, and one was wearing a helmet.. The green one looked older in years and experience then the Red haired one and the one with the helmet was a girl or, so Gaven thinks by the curve of her body, so Gaven decided to direct his question to him.
“Hay, Hay, I have a question” Gaven shouts and they all turn to him and look at him quizzically.
“Do you know where” Gaven takes a second to look at the map “Mehhet’s Emporium is?” he says this loud enough for all three but by the way his eyes are focused its obvious that he asking the green haired individual.

Wyatt smiled and nodded his head to Guinevere. "Nice to meet you." He said, turning back to Aaron and arching an eyebrow.
"You magic types always confuse me. Visions and concentration and med...medi..ah whatever that word was." He waved his hand. "So, any idea where this is gonna take ya? I'd like to think I know you Aaron, you'll go and get yourself into trouble if I let you go off alone. Sides, dealing with Bern and Ilia isn't my thing. How would i know which side is right? Nah, better to let the nobles solve their own problems."
He stopped for a moment when they were approached by a young soldier. Did they really blend in that well? Damn.
"We're not from around here, sorry. You'd probably be better off asking someone else." He explained to the young boy.

Guinevere smiled and returned a little bow to Wyatt. "Nice to meet you, Sir Wyatt." She silently excused herself as a younger solider started to talk to Wyatt and Aaron. She started to walk around, looking around for her godfather. She hadn't seen him since her puking fits on the ship and was curious to see what he's been up to.
She looked around for several minutes before she finally spotted him. Smiling to herself, she made her way over to him. Seeing that he was talking to someone, she waited until there was a break in the conversation before speaking. "Did you have a nice trip, Uncle Inigo?"

Right when the red haired stranger replied his comment “We're not from around here, sorry” Gaven’s mind instantly went into overtime.
His first reaction to this uttered word was that of shock. He had misjudged which one was the head of them because it was usually the commander’s job to reply to strangers. It was apparently obvious that while this Red-haired youth was older than him he still hadn’t reached manhood. The green-haired traveler on the other hand looked like he had already gone through puberty. It was a possibility though that the red-haired youth could be more then he seems, so Gaven stored that thought for later inspection.
Where are they from then? It was a possibility that they were lying but there was no apparent reason to lie so that can’t be it. If what they say is true scratch out Bern. Okay they don’t look like desert dwellers so scratch out Nabata. They do not look like the illiterate barbarians the Sacae are. Okay so that leaves Eturia,Lycia, Illia, Western Isels. It looked like these travelers had been on a ship for quite awhile by their apparent smell. Gaven almost started pinching his nose with his fingers, but stopped at the last second becuase they were most likely as aware of their smell as he was and it would be rude to bring it up. A flicker alight caught Gaven’s eyes but he dare not look at it. It was quite well hidden and it only happened by chance. hey maybe my luck is improving...So there hiding some kind of weaponry. If they were Illians they wouldn’t do that because they have no fear from Bern...Ha fools.
So that leaves 3 potential choices. Just leave and don’t ask them. You still have shopping to do and these people are potentially dangerous. You’ve already had enough adventure and don’t need more.I mean your with the Bern's rebels now! Despite all the protest his common sense asked Gaven asked
”Then where are you from” Hastily he added “I don’t mean to pry or anything” Great now they think you’re an idiot and that you want that the information. Way. To. Go.

placing two fingers to the tips of his moustache, the swordsman stood around with the other two for awhile, before Guinevere came up. He was still a bit upset about the boots mind you, mostly because they were imported from so-and-so, but the whole dragon incident had overshadowed the whole thing, as he eyed the disquised dragon for a moment before looking back to the young maiden behind him,"Well, it was alright for the majority, Little Gwenie," He began, moving his hand from his stache and back to the hilt of his blade," Of course, there were some...things, that quickly changed that about..."
He then lowered his voice so only the four of them (Grayon, Sabin, Guinevere, and himself) could hear," I still can't believe we have that beast along with us! What's to say it won't get hungry and eat some of us, hm? Not like we could stop it,the vile thing."

"Well, if it does eat us, hopefully, we're tasty! It'd be an insult if we tasted like dirt to her." Sabin jokingly said.
" But in all seriousness, we shouldn't be worrying, Sir Inigo. I'm just a mercenary, so, if Sir Gabriel trusts her, then, I don't have any problems. Besides, she seems nice.... even if she did shake the boat a bit to knock me unconcious for a few moments." Sabin said.
"If she really wanted to eat us, she would've done that while we were on the ship." he said with a straight face.
He had just finished his comb. " Here's your comb, Inigo." he said as he gave back Inigo's comb.
