OOC: Only the people who know of the events in 'Order of Execution' should be here. Please don't pointlessly jump in.
IC: It had been a few days travel from the city. Valorian had his doubts about all the novices they were taking along, but let it go. After all, he wasn't going to talk them out of it, and if they went off on their own, they'd die for certain. At least he had Jya and the Lycian...Rayl wasn't it? They seemed to be somewhat capable, and he knew that he could handle himself in a fight...
At that though, he placed his right hand on his cloak for a moment. He almost shivered when he felt what was there, but shook his head.
You are in control. It will be fine.
Finally, as they crested another hill, the ruined fortress in the side of a mountain came into view. "There." He said, pointing it out. "Be alert. There could be scouts around."

Isabel looked at the ruined fortress in awe, trying to imagine what it had looked like when it was new. Failing at that, she paid heed to Valorian's words. "So, this is it? It's..." The blue-haired girl stopped herself, trying to come up with a tactful way to describe this place. "Seen better days, I guess."
She turned around towards Calvin, taking a step toward the bard. "Come on, Calvy, we should probably stay in the back, out of the way of the real fighters. I may be a prodigy, but mages aren't front-line fighters! And bards are even less so." she joked. Izzy looked back at Valorian. "Me and Calvin will make sure they don't try to sneak up behind us like dirty rotten scoundrels!"

Calvin walked along side Isabel. His huge bag was tossed over his right shoulder leaning against his left hip. His time in Amarillo was well spent, he got some shopping done and still had a TON, of money left over from Riley and Rayl’s kind donations. His instruments were in his bag however in his hands seemed to be a sketch pad of some sorts. He flicked through the pages causing streams of color to pass by. He had sketched so much since his journey’s the pictures told a story. Calvin was no Leonardo, but he was talented, more so than he knew. The first picture was his home in Sacae, a small but cozy house, in the isolated yet beautiful plains. Outside were some animals and if you looked closely, a small gathering of people. Calvin smiled innocently as he saw the picture, he wondered how everyone at home was, and realized how much he missed them. He had gathered a lot of money since he left; it wasn’t enough to save the ranch but maybe soon… The pictures went on filling almost the entire sketch pad already, pictures of Trion and the others, pictures of Isabel and Calvin saying good bye and leaving. It was even up to this current point, pictures of them at the bar with Jya, and then ending with more depressing pictures of the corpses from the church. Calvin quickly closed his sketch pad, he drew the picture to teach himself something, he wasn’t sure just what it was yet, but he knew it was a lesson he will have to learn. His gaze drew up from the pad as he packed it away, where he noticed a really interesting ruined fortress, something he would definitely sketch later. Calvin could picture the fortress, a kingdom filled with crowded chatters of the joyful residence, a more peaceful time. Just then Isabel approached Calvin and his face seemed to light up. The killings, missing his family it seemed to go away as he realized he was walking with all his friends. It was a beautiful feeling, one Calvin would like to last forever. He nodded his head in response to Isabel and quickly followed her to the back of the group.
“Those meanies won’t escape the wrath of Isabel Le Fury!”
Calvin chuckled before silencing himself deciding it best he were quiet. Childishly he darted his head around scanning his surroundings.

Jya shifted through the few cover there was. At least the scenery was mostly green after all. The wilderness was where she hid the best. When they finally arrived, she shifted over to pop out beside Valorian. She first looked over at the priest but her eyes soon shifted to the fort. A sudden realization rushed over her. It seemed so familiar... Why? Why did it...?
"Val I think I've been here before..." she said, a tinge of fear in her voice... She gulped and looked over at him again.
"I almost got killed...here..."

Valorian didn't seem phased by Jya's realization, oddly enough. "I'm not surprised that you recognize this place. After all...this was where the Bandit War ended...five years ago." He said, looking towards the fort.
"Legends did battle here. Both old and new. Armies clashed, and even dragons fought among the skies. It was most certainly a terrible battle. That you survived is a tribute to your will."
He stopped, looking over the Fort from a distance, but then glanced back to Jya. "Are you going to be ok Jya? I could use your skilled eyes up here. I can't tell if there are any scouts on the outside of the fortress, and walking straight in would not be a very prudent move."
Maybe he was seeming cold, but he knew Jya could hold her own. The past could be frightening, but she was strong enough to get by it.

Isabel smiled at Calvin's comment, more than a little happy at his belief in her amazing abilities. But her smile vanished as Jya said what was on her mind and then Valorian's comment about her will or something. But what interested Isabel more was the mention of armies and dragons fighting at this spot before, and Jya having supposedly being here for that. But Isabel knew that now was not the time to inquire about if Valorian was off his rocker (she wasn't quite sure she believed dragons had fought alongside armies, or if they even truly existed, for that matter), and instead turned her attention to the task ahead of them.
"So, Valorian, perhaps now would be a good time to explain exactly what we're here for." Isabel said in a slightly hushed voice.

That battle was big? She never considered that chaotic time as such. Jya glanced about the fort. Was her eyesight that good? She always thought that she saw things as good as anyone else. Then she noticed a movement out in the distance. There were already people there. This'll be tricky by no normal standards.
"Alright it seems there are already people there so be careful," she said before dashing outward. The figure had already went deeper into the fort. This was a good time to clear some distance in between. She was sure to take any covering when she had her suspicions otherwise it would be a waste of time. Before long she had her walls against the back of one of the outer wall.

Valorian was going to chastise Izzy for not paying attention, but then Jya took off. Careful to remain quiet, he followed her at a decent speed until they reached the edge of the fortress. From this distance, Valorian could hear the murmurs of conversation from inside the fort. He looked about the wall they were up against, and saw that damage to the fort had created enough holes for it to be scaled. Well, someone like Jya or Izzy would likely have no problems. Calvin looked a little clumsy, but he should be fine. Valorian, on the other hand, had certain problems keeping him from being a rock climber.
"You three. Go in this way, stay hidden. I'll find another way in and meet up with you. See if you can find out what it is that they are supposed to be giving to the Bern rebels." It also seemed that Rayl would not be able to enter this way, but Valorian had recommended he stay back in the wings until they needed his help.
This was a stealth mission, and horses were not very stealthy. Neither was heavy riding armor. Escaping, however, might require his force of arms.
Though hopefully it wouldn't come to that.

Calvin focused his all his senses to watch and listen out for bandits, but his wandering umm ear? This caused him to hear the conversations going on around him which were surprisingly dramatic. This was wear Jya almost died? Calvin had no idea about that, a large frown infected his face as he almost turned to talk to Jya, but then Valorian spoke which reminded him this was a sneaky job so Calvin managed to keep quiet.
Bandit war…?
Calvin was very uneducated making him more of an obstacle in battle, rather than assistance, he knew he wanted to learn on his journey but he didn’t know that his lack of knowledge would fault him. None the less he listened closely; he quickly covered his mouth to stop him from yelling dragons in surprise to Valorian’s story. He always loved myths and monsters; it was something his parents read to him as a child, probably the only thing aswell. Although he doesn’t remember much about them since he was so young, he still believed they existed.
Deeply intensified by the atmosphere of war, Calvin overlooked Isabel’ question, focusing his attention to Jya’s report. He may not have experience but at least he had the right attitude, even if this was more of a game to him. Jya darted off and Valorian followed. Calvin turned back to Isabel and smiled before whispering to get her attention,
“Let’s go Isabel!
He ran forward before nearly tripping causing his bag to ruffle and make some noise, fortunately he was still a bit behind the others so it didn’t attract any attention. Childishly he grabbed his bag and stared at it before hushing it with a sharp SHHHHH. This time ,at a more quiet pace, he ran after the others.
The group reached the edge of the fortress, Calvin listened closely to the mumbled speech from inside the fortress, but he wasn’t actually paying attention to it. His attention directed to Valorian as they told them to climb the walls, he stared at the damaged wall with a look of confusion, before looking over to Isabel, expecting her to show him what to do. Calvin’s heart was pounding in his chest, but he wasn’t sure why just yet.

Isabel, her question unanswered, followed after the others. She smiled, coming up with various things to yell at Calvin after he dropped his bag, although it turned into a grimace as she realize the possible outcome of loud noises. When the four had made it to the fort (it seemed as though Rayl was staying behind for now), Valorian instructed them to climb up the wall. Isabel looked up, swearing a under her breath. She had never actually climbed over anything taller than her chest, and that had been when she was eight. Isabel stood back, and shook her head. She grabbed her bag and stuffed her book in it, and returned it to her back. "So... We're going to climb this... Oh great. Prodigies really shouldn't have to do this type of thing, you know."
Despite her complaining, Isabel stepped forward, looked up the wall for possible places to put her hands and feet, sighed, and then decided to wait. She'd follow Jya, who probably had more experience with this sort of thing. Better to go second and retain your dignity than go first and fall on your face.

Jya examined all the possible points she can grab on. There appeared to be quite a bit of room to work with. The reassurance helped her as she backed up a few steps and burst forward. It almost appeared she was running up the wall with the first few steps before she grabbed the side of a loose brick. From there she pulled herself up, grabbed a few more loose area and went hop hop hop.
It wasn't difficult and soon she was scooting her way up the wall, grabbing rocks and vines that otherwise just looked like part of the building. When she got to a window, she jumped through in a smooth fashion and in the middle of the jump she orientated her body around so she was facing the entrance and voila! She was inside.

Valorian had slipped away from the lot of them. Thankfully he'd found a crack in the wall that he could manage to slip through. He was in the belly of the beast now...there were a lot of people in here.
Paladins, Generals, Bishops, Sages, Wyvern Lords....this was going to be a battle better not fought. But wait...there were a few Bishops wearing the robes of St. Elmine...the same kind he wore.
Putting on his best poker face, he walked obviously and openly to through the fort. A few people turned to look at him, but paid him no mind.
Unlike everyone else in his group, he looked like he belonged here. And once he'd passed the room, he began to ascend into the higher layers of the fort, to find where his companions had wound up.

"Oh. Well then. Come on, Calvin, let's climb." Isabel grumbled. She had watched in awe as Jya showed her athleticism, scaling the wall quickly and seemingly effortlessly. The blue-haired prodigy had no delusions of being able to do the same, so she instead grabbed a protruding piece of wall, tested it's strength, and then set about making her way up the wall. Several times she nearly fell, and the sound of falling bits of rock seemed unnaturally loud to the pupil. But within the span of three minutes, she made it up, entering through the same window as Jya.
"So this is adventure?" Isabel whispered at Jya, and then poked her head out the window to check in on Calvin. "Not quite what I was expecting."

Valorian slipped away from the group leaving them to make their way up the wall. Calvin didn’t know him that much but still worried for his safety, however he seemed like he was experienced, mostly because he was managing this entire movement, so he should be fine. He heard Jya leap and his head darted towards her. She scaled skillfully up the tattered wall almost as if she was running straight up. A broad smile emerged and Calvin almost chuckled with excitement, he was certainly enjoying everything so far. Jya hopped inside the window and Calvin gulped, it sure seemed high. He looked at Isabel as she spoke and he responded with his usual smile and head bonk. Calvin grabbed the wall and pulled down firmly on the wall, after lifting himself about an inch off the floor the rock tore right off and tapped the floor. At least he was still at the bottom, or wait was that bad? He stared at the rock with broadened eyes before shaking off the weird feeling inside of him. Swallowing his fear he stepped back and ran at the wall before jumping.
His two hands grabbed the wall and his feet slid into the holes, but almost immediately both his feet fell out and his body dropped, his left hand slipped under the impact but thankfully he held tight with his right hand. His bag was seriously weighing him down; he didn’t JUST carry instruments in there. He fixed himself before cautiously making his way up the wall. He made most of his slip ups at the start but after getting the hang of it, he eventually made it up onto the window, and inside. He wanted to let out a loud sigh of relief, but he couldn’t attract attention, instead he jut wiped the sweat off his brow and looked around.

Jya was examining the room while waiting for the others to get up. It was full of broken pieces of wood, steel, iron, and all together junk. By the looks of stuff laying around it might have been an old gathering place of some sort. When Isabel and Calvin were up she had slid to the door and opened it to spy out. When the coast seemed clear she went out to find where Valorian was out to. It wasn't long until she could hear a shuffling from the corner and so she unsheathed her blade.
