Cefia glanced over at the new entry. Another young man by the looks of it and she still questions why she has to grow so tall. Enough though, many people were bigger and stronger than her. he nodded as he listened to between the two and glanced over at the book. It was well worn and used, at least all the text was eligible.
"Fair enough just a gold or two will do, you probably need it more than I do, besides I got way too much to carry anyways," she responded with a smile, handing the book over at the girl. Now she had to figure out what to do here. A good idea would be to stay out of trouble but that never seems to work.
"My name is Cefia. What is yours young miss and sir," she asked with a gentle smile.

Derick opened his mouth to reply, but the gruff man's attention was directed towards the robed figure. It was probably for the better, Derick had spent a few nights trying to invent a tale about his origins, but he had come up with nothing. He couldn't just come out and say he was a war criminal who had fled Bern, it seemed like an unwise thing to do. He would really need to think on that one.
He decided to do just that, mulling over the question in his mind as he turned towards the newcomer and listened casually.

[white]"My name's Dee Krisby! It's nice to meet you, Cefia."[/white] she took the book from Cefia's hands, giving it a once-over.
It was a book on the basics of fire magic. Concepts behind Anima and how everything works. This would certainly take some time to read. [white]"Thank you, Ms. Cefia."[/white] she said with practiced enthusiasm. This lady seemed nice, so she wanted to be nice in return at the very least.

((OOC I did mention Judah pushed his hood back by the way, Sabin.))
[Red]" You seem ter like gossip, hooded man."[/Red] Judah's own eyes narrowed in response to the pirates hostility. This was rediculous. The man comes in, accuses someone quite vocally of trying to cause trouble, takes it back, and then accuses someone else of snooping. This was why he generally avoided dealing with pirate scum.
"Only when it proclaims itself in the streets...." The black haired man kept his arms at his sides, black cloak shifting around him as he took a half step back, looking on.
"Let me give you a piece of advice, Sailor. If you're going to be this free with your accusations, you'll need feet as fleet as that tongue of yours."

(OOC:MY apologies for not being on for the past month,I had quite a few things on my plate during that time and I had to take care of them. Now granted I'm still-semi busy but it's not as bad now)
Still slightly dazed from his previous battle at sea, thanks to Dee casting a Lightening spell right in his face,Zero mumbled and turned around in his sleep once again. A couple hours ago, some loud noises had voices could be heard from the cabin in which he was sleeping, yet Zero drooled on his shirt a little while snoring and paying it no mind. After all he still had a bit of a headache from the bright flash that had nearly caused temporary blindness on the young Sacaen. Luckily, though it had also nailed the pirate he had been fighting that day, which unluckily for the pirate lead to him falling overboard during the fight, either way he'd have to thank Dee somehow.
Rustling around in the bed sheets,Zero lazily opened his eyes and rubbed his face, his sky blue hair, long and a little bit messy to top it off. The nineteen-year old Sacaen, brushed aside his hair a little bit to make it look a bit neater as he cracked his neck and stretched out his legs to limber himself up as he checked his pack to make sure everything was there. However, his hand-crafted hunting knife in which he used to carve meat from small animal was missing and this still irritated him as he grumbled to himself.
"Mel...that girl will be the death of me one day. Huh...looks like the others have all set out already,I should try to look for them I know they wouldn't leave me behind."
As Zero adjusted his sword, fixating the sheath to a comfortable position on his waist as he headed out towards the deck of the ship and finally onto dry, solid land which practically felt like the greatest feeling he had ever experienced in days. Zero calmly composed himself as he calmly strolled into the port town, trying not to draw attention to himself as an outsider,as he was completely unfamiliar with this land, almost made him feel rather homesick in fact. Most of the people Zero had seen walking around seemed to be plain old town locals...others looked rather burly and musuclar just like Joel almost. However all the while occasionaly locals would stare at this strange man.
"Where did this man come from? His blue hair is quite strange,I bet he was with that other peculiar group from earlier today."
Zero calmly, turned the corner as his sharp eyes scaned the area, looking for any familiar faces to him. As he approached the central hub of the town he could see merchants trying to haggle him down for deals, drunkards stumbling and getting into fist fights outside the local tavern. Zero kept cautiously eye'ing each detail, trying to famliarize himself with the new setting and hopefully find a place to eat on top of that.

"I heard yeh, blackey. Which is why as long as I have me axe, I'm safe." Sabin replied, folding his arms as he said so.
"So lemme guess? You too are a mercenary then?" Sabin asked, a little confused now.
"Oh yeah, and you were asking me if I was a pirate, eh? Well I'm a sailor, so tell me, waddyer want?"Sabin asked.
But then something caught Sabin's attention. At a distance, he could see a few soldiers running straight... towards them? He couldn't make out how many... but it seemed like.. three??
Then he turned left to see the blacksmith guy point his fingers at Sabin and co. Sabin frowned as he saw about thre to four soldier talk with the blacksmith. This was not good... in terms of his cover. Certainly good in terms of viewpoint though. He could kick Etrurian butt, finally.

[purple]"I am Vashnar, a pleasure to meet you Cefia"[/purple] Vashnar told the woman before slighty bowing again. As his hair swished back behind his face, granting his eyes vision to his side views, he noticed that soldiers were heading in their direction; more sepcificly, Sabin's direction.
Picking up Dee again and resting her back on his shoulder as he told her [purple]"Dee, sorry about this, but it looks like soldiers are heading our way. Could you be so kind as to take out your book if we need it as a distraction in the inedible chase that will take place?"[/purple]. Turning to Cefia, Vashnar bowed his head again before saying [purple]"It was a pleasure to meet you, and thank you again for the book."[/purple] he told her before strapping his lance to his back so he could make sure Dee wouldn't fall off as the soldiers got closer.

The hulking figure easily lifted the little light pupil from Vashnar's shoulders, resting her on his own. "Seriously; I leave you all to your own devices for a little bit and this is what I find?" Joel rumbled, chuckling a little bit. He was carrying a new, large leather satchel, hung from his left shoulder, containing the supplies he had just purchased in the nearby markets, while his axe was hung from his waist. He looked over at the two he didn't know, nodding at them. "If we only had a little longer!" the giant Nabataean boomed, and then he turned, separating himself from everyone else with his long strides.
"Well, little one. I'd prepare yourself for what is about to happen." Joel warned Dee, potentially needlessly. "After all, I'm still... Opposed to fighting." He stopped for a second following that statement, looking down at the ground, thinking things over for a second. "Dee... I want to protect you as best as I can. But I'm still not comfortable harming anyone... Not yet, not again. Forgive me, especially if this leads to you becoming endangered." With those few words, Joel was off again, easily brushing through the crowds of people.
((OOC: Possible short Dee/Joel Support set up while they are going through the town? Maybe we can do one while they were on the boat...? Eh, I dunno. I just really want to see a Support between these two.))

Dee groaned as she was once again lifted from shoulder to shoulder. [white]"Come on! I have my own legs! Oh."[/white] It was then that she noticed the soldiers heading towards them. She put her new book away into her satchel and pulled out her mother's tome once more. [white]"I... I don't know if it will help, last time I tried was a failure..."[/white]
Dee felt the salty air flow through her hair as Jumbo ran through the crowds, messing it up even more. She looked behind to see if the others were running to catch up. [white]"Is it really alright to be running from the soldiers like this?"[/white] she asked her jumbo-sized friend.

Cefia shook her head as they went off and turned only to be approached by two soldiers. Did she do something eye catching? All she really did was give a book out... She can hardly say that was illegal activity.
"Miss, would you come with us, we have a few questions about your friends there," a well built and the larger of the two soldiers asked.
"If I say no?" she replied, arcing an eyebrow. Sure enough the other soldier too out his lance. She gritted her teeth, no, she can't go to any questioning. She was practically a deserter. With that thought, she struck out with a punch, nailing the large man square in the face. It was enough to keep him over seeing as she had her own strength. With that she high-tailed it out of there, looking for the knight, girl, and the other large man. She wanted to know what some guards would want from them.
"Hey I'm coming with you," she called out towards the crowd.

Well this was awkward. As the axeman pointed out the soldiers, Judah considered his options. He could run with this group, or drop back into the shadows again. They'd had some contact with his goal from the ship, and seemingly were establishing themselves as enemies of the port authorities, but the black cloaked man simply saw no reasons to stay with them.
"Here's a chance for you to test those feet, Sailor, but don't allow yourself to slow over much. Remember: this is the Governor's port, and he won't take kindly to people making their own waves on his turf."
Judah continued his backwards shuffle as he spoke, turning away and ducking his way into a particularly bunched up crowd of people. He raised his hood, hiding the white streak in his hair, and continued shuffling deeper into the crowd, and away from the mess which was about to happen. He wondered what they're next move would be as he continued to melt into the streams of traffic. He knew his next move. Stay out of the way long enough to do something worth while.

Zero was still lingering down the street, seeking other a place to settle his grumbling stomach or seek out the local arena as he usually tends to do in an unfamiliar town. Either or really wouldn't matter at this point, Zero was somewhat hungry but far from dying of starvation. However,Zero couldn't just live on fruit, and seafood wasn't exactly a palatable source of nourishment to him either. There was also the task that involved seeking out the rest of the group so that Zero wouldn't be stranded on his own in an unfamiliair country. Especially in a country in which he knew little about their customs,as it would be near suicide for him to make the slightest act of showing he was an outsider in his own mind.
However his mindset soon changed when he heard a loud commotion coming from down the corner a few feet away. Sure enough Zero saw a group of soldier running after another group of people, familiar people. At least all but one of them he was able to identify at least,as he saw Vashnar,Dee, and Joel rushing down towards him,as well as some strange green-haired woman whom he had never met before was chasing after them at least a good 10 feet away...and behind that woman was a small group of soldiers. Zero, who had practically panicked at the sight of this...took the most rational course of action that came to his mind,he shouted after his group as he run off to catch up with them. Ironically, drawing some unnesscessary attention to himself in the process from the local villagers, who simply gazed at him like he was some kind of vagrant wanderer.
"Hey! Hey guys! Wait up for me! What the heck, you can't stay in town for a few hours without raising attention to yourselves?"

Sabin gritted his teeth as he heard the hooded-man's words... well not completely, and the guy did have balck hair with streaks of white, but that didn't concern Sabin right now. What concerned Sabin though, was the soldiers running towards him. Wow, so basically he had the option of either dealing with soldiers, or fleeing. The second option seemed more safe.
Sabin made his way past the crowd, and following Cefia, Dee and Joel as the bumped into Zero. How lovely, they finally caught up with Zero at a time like this. Well, if only they could find a safe spot, they could lure these guys in and take them out.
" Zero, nice timing, really! Hey guys, I think we should take a left there, there's a nice vegetable market in that street!" Sabin suggested, continuously panting.

OOC: I apologize for my absence. I had a REALLY busy spring break (the irony), but I'm good to go now!
Derick followed on the heels of his new acquaintances. It felt strange, seeing as how the scruffy looking man had threatened just a few moments ago, but getting mugged by mercenaries sounded marginally better than rotting in prison. Derick walked briskly, he was caught in the awkward position of wanting to get out of sight fast without appearing like he was running away. His worn boots made a dull thump on the sandstone pavement as he lengthened his stride. A sight of green hair redirected his path, have to keep up with one's friends.
Derick smiled at his one companion as he joined the group. "Stick together?" It was a casual question, but after a few days of being together non-stop, maybe she would say no.

Vashnar ran in front Joel who carried Dee, moving people aside so Jorl wouldn't drop her. At the mention of a crowded street made Vashnar run even faster when they turned left, shoving people so they would cause a jam and make pursuit difficult. Vashnar made the mistake of looking back while running, causing him to smack right into farmer's cart and have it spill it's contents everywhere as he fell to the ground. Picking himself back up, Vashnar continued after the group while the man screamed "MY CABBAGES!". feeling sorry for the guy, Vashnar put a untouched cabbage in his hands before heading back to the group.
