(Takes place on the boat after Modes of Transportation)
Dee sat on the edge of the boat looking out at the sea. It had been almost a week since the voyage began and there wasn't much to do. After the run-in with pirates, nobody wanted to do much of anything other than relax.
The rails on the ship were just short enough for her to rest her head. After so many months of studying and travel by foot, it was nice to finally have something resembling a vacation. It made Dee wonder what Uncle Jones was up to, she hadn't seen him since they left Ostia together. It seemed so long ago now...

"Careful now, little one." Joel said with a faint smile as he walked over to Dee with heavy footsteps. "I don't want to have to go over the edge to rescue you." The much larger Nabataean walked over to the little girl, leaning on the railing next to her. "How are you holding up, Dee?"
((OOC: Sorry for the extremely short post... I couldn't think of anything more.))

[white]"You worry too much, Jumbo."[/white] Dee smiled up at the large man towering over her. Jumbo was an alright guy, but he was much too overbearing on Dee. It felt much like he was trying to be a father to Dee when she didn't really want one. Her only father was David, even if she never met him. A close second was obviously Uncle Jones.
[white]"I'm not sure what I should be doing sometimes..."[/white] she said out of the blue. For Dee, all there was in life was studying and more studying. Somewhere out there was the cure she was looking for, the cure to death. It was hard to keep pressing on when every lead thus far had been awfully false. [white]"I worry if I'm either trying too hard or not trying hard enough..."[/white] she said in a very vague tone. There were some things that Jumbo didn't need to know. A lot of things.
