Name: Soul Amadeus Essence
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Class: Acolyte
Personality: Soul's an agnostic person actually. During the time she's been at the church, she's gone through a lot of pain and reflection. That's contributed to her somewhat pessimistic character at times. She's pretty clever and always tends to think about the future- this brings her either expectations or paranoia. Paranoia is probably her greatest weakness, because then starts suspicion and a new matter comes up. Otherwise she's usually calm and extremely helpful, and being a scholar of magic, has a lot of advice when it comes to magic. She's can get into philosophical debates. Her behaviour's almost always gentle, even in emotional stress.
Appearance: Soul's hair colour is generally a very dark shade of green, but she likes to dye her hair navy blue. She wears black robes, one would easily mistake her for a shaman if she wore the hood. She also wears red ear studs. Soul's pretty slender or kinda has the right figure for a woman- slender yet not too slender, real long hair that you won't miss, and normal size of you-know-whats.
Background: Soul's family, being great devotees of St.Elimine, have been a proper religious one for god knows how long. But you get the point. Her father and mother both worked for the church.
Being as such, their family was very conservative and followed strict rules. Soul at first followed and believed in all the supersition, and that was one of the causes for why she became messed up. Being a total worshipper of St. Elimine, most of the time her world was the church, and she had an abnormal social life. As she grew up, she slowly started having less church time, mainly in her teens, when the rowth spurts and the special cycles happened to fuel her anger and questioning. Tension between the parents and their daughter started to worsen, but the family held together because... they were a family.
At about the age of fifteen, Soul's mother passed away and it was now Soul's responsibility to take her mother's footsteps and become a new priestess in the church. But Soul's interest was elsewhere, not in healing and praying, but in magic. However she could not get away with just studying magic because of the church's strict rules she was not able to wriggle out of the prayer part. After some quarreling with her father, she finally got what she wished- magic had always fascinated her, and to be able to learn it was a boon.
Most of the times, the acolytes were emissionaries sent to places abroad, spreading the word of St. Elimine. Soul did not totally believe in all of what was said by the priests, but she had to listen, or else she'd be berated badly by her father.
Years passed, and Soul, now twenty-one, faced another disaster- her father died too. How? Assasinated. Why? No clue, but he was a popular priest in the church, of a high rank. Soul started cursing herself and her life- this god of theirs was taking all the fun out of her life, meaning to torture her mentally. By this time the Prophet had taken over the churches of Etruria, and as time passed, Soul slowly saw corruption arise in the church. The priests were very insensitive to her loss, and she was tormented by various unwanted emotions.
It was at this time when she started taking an advice of one of the priests, who had taught her about light magic about six years ago. He had told her about the importance of reflecting on one's self, their behaviour and their goals. Slowly Soul started becoming more calm, having a clear thought. Months after isolation and stress, Soul came out of her phase- not as cheerful, but not demented either. It was a state of inner calmness, and she knew only one thing- if she wanted happiness, she'd have to somehow leave the church.
Soul, now aged twenty-three, has recently been appointed to travel with a mage called Xenus. The church, affiliated with the orphanages Xenus came from, decided to pair her up with him so that she could travel all over preaching St.Elimine's teachings. Soul gladly accepted this offer- she would finally get rid off staying in the church.
