It had been almost two days until they finally got to Bern. Yunneth has been conversing with the brothers the entire road trip there. It has been a interesting trip thus far. It seems Lloyd has given her a few ideas on where to go next for her research on Elibe. He also gave her information on Manakete as well. Information even she never thought about. In turn she gave him a pointer or two about magic. Though she does not use anima magic, she pays close enough attention to an enemy mages personal tactics and styles and draws them in steps as well as worded instructions and gives it to him as practice. As for Helios, they have began to get to know each other a little better. though...as usual Yunneth doesn't want to reveal her entire life story in one go. She wasn't very talkative about it. If it was her beliefs and thoughts then she would be more than willing to share. Yet...as for the past...no. It was night time and the three set up camp around the border that separates Bern and Sacae. Yunneth wasn't able to sleep that night. She simply sat at the camp fire. She never really slept much. For some reason she couldn't. Yunneth sat on the ground, hugging her knee's, and looks at the moon lit sky. After a moment, Yunneth gets herself up and begins to take a quiet walk

As Yunneth was walking, she wanted to enjoy the moonlight. It was calming and so much more kind on her skin than the blasted sun. As she continues her walk, she heard someone. She was about to get her tome until she saw it was Helios. She looked at him a moment and felt the breeze go through her long black hair that seemed to camouflage itself with the night. Her red gaze continues to be fixed on him. When he questioned her about being up so late, she looked down, her hair now covering her face.
"...I could not sleep. I merely wanted to have a calming walk to clear my head. Besides...I stay up a little more at night. I think better. The better question is why are YOU up? You do realize if some low life brigand comes and your brother is still asleep, he will be gutted like a bloody pig. You do see that possibility...right?"
She crossed her arms and looked at him. her tone continued to be emotionless yet there was a bit of a serious vibe in it as well. She didn't mind the company yet...it truly is unsafe to sleep alone now a days. Especially out in the open.

Helios understood her" look I know what you mean but you were kidnapped once off guard are not i feel like I should protect you but I have a idea once in Bern we should see if we can find. A mercanary there's safety in numbers", Lloyd was dreaming it was a recurring dream he had since he was a kid. It was a tall woman riding upon a wyvern she was fighting against a group of bandits protecting a boy. The boy in the dream looked familiar

Yunneth just looked at Helios as if he were idiotic. She felt like she needed no protection. If she was unprotected and it was her fate to die...then so be it. Yunneth truly didn't value her life too much. The only reason she allowed herself life was so her brothers sacrifice would not be wasted. She respected him too much to commit suicide and to have his last moments be in vain. She places her fingers on the bridge of her nose and thinks for a moment. She needed to think on how she can explain this in the nicest way as possible.
"...How do I say this...? Look...you do not have to protect me. We barely know each other even though we are allies. You are still a stranger. And it is vice versa with me. Do not get me wrong...I am great full for your work thus far. Yet...for now, worry about yourself and brother. As for me...I will watch your back when needed but I will take care of myself. Unlike you or your brother, I have no one waiting for me so I'm expendable. So like I said...your brother comes first."
...Though the statement could have went better, it was Yunneth's best attempt to be nice...though...she was barely trying. In truth she truly had no one left. And she didn't want the two brothers to get hurt on her account. She knows the pain of losing a loved one. She didn't want them to feel that sting. Even in her harsh, cold, and bitter moments, she still cared. In a way she was like a mother with expectations who simply wanted to give those around her a push in the right direction. Even if it means she hurts others feelings to do so. After a moment, Yunneth turns around and bag ins to take a few steps in the opposite direction.

Yunneth continued on her way through the area. She was doing her best not to stray too far. She was sort of glad Helios went back yet...that unemotional, cold look on her face, turned to one of a sad, lonely feeling. She didn't know why but...she felt...sad for saying it. This has never happened but she was determined to make it stop. She had no wish to show any emotion or weakness. She swore against it. In order for her to become a great druid some day she would have to make herself devoid of such petty, human attachments. It was the only way to her goal. Yet...there were still things she needed to let go. She sighs and walks around until she heard something. She looked over and saw the brothers rushing onto the carriage. We had a few hours till day light. Why were they getting on? She walks over calmly, almost camouflaged in the night, and walks towards them.

Lloyd stopped the carriage when he saw Yunneth he was freaking out" Yunneth you have to get into the carriage we saw wyvern riders on the way here and Bern forces are picking they might think were rebels" Helios got a idea"guys we can use this chance and sneak into Bern the guards should be looking for rebels out side so we just need to be sneaky"

Yunneth looks at Lloyd and just stares at him. When he told her to get on the carriage, and told her that Wyvern riders are near by, she just stared at him. Yet...when he told her they may think they are rebels, she could see that but...they could explain that they are not. Then again there is a possibility they wouldn't believe them. So either try and be honest but possibly find themselves on the other end of a lance or get going while they cant see. Yunneth chose the second option. She quickly gets on and looks at them.
"Fine but if we need stealth don't go too fast and keep the horse calm. If the wheels or horse make too much noise then we're going to end up fighting. If it comes to that then I already have a plan made up. If I remember correctly, Wyvern riders are not very resistant to magic. Lloyd I will need your help with this since you are the only other magic user here and I cannot do this on my own. Helios just sit tight and keep the horse calm and watch our backs. Though this is for if we are caught and they decide to attack. I need to know you two will cooperate. Got it?"

Lloyd quieted his horse and the three began to head to a entrance. Helios pulled out two black robes he put one on himself and the other around Lloyd then made a stop at a gate he noticed guards Lloyd looked at Yunneth"alright if we take out the guards were home free"

Yunneth could tell they just ignored her warnings. She sighed at this but got over it. The important thing is she and the brothers made it out. When the boys wore black cloaks, she listens to their plan and looked at them.
"...There is such a thing as being civil..."
She crossed their arms and gave them a look. Must they always resort to violence? It was obvious to her that these two had no real strategy. And in truth...it was slightly annoying. Yunneth got up and walked out of the cart and sighed.
"...Let's get this over with..."
She gets out and looks at them, awaiting for them to leave the cart.

"Filthy Illian trash" shouted Butorega as he emerged from a cave. He looked to the sky listening to the call of the Wyverns. It had been three days since he fled from Westernwind and for what he could tell the Illians were still following his tracks.
"There probably trying to heard me into the plains", spoke the young brigand out loud indulging in his bad habit. "Yeah they probably want me in the open. I would be a lot easier to capture that way." The young brigand looked around for a moment registering his surroundings and planning his next move.
In the corner of his eye Butorega saw two guards protecting gate that led into Bern. "There we go", spoke the brigand as his thoughts began to flow. "If I take that root back into Bern I can blend in with the other citizens. Those fools will probably assume I moved into the plains.
"Hmm", spoke the young brigand as he noticed three figures blending into the darkness. There presence suggested that they were heading toward the gate. Considering the situation in the area their entry to Bern would have to be bloody, or extremely legal. None the less this provided an oppertunity for the fleeing brigand. If he could join up or threaten the group his entry into Bern would be a lot easyier.
None the less the time for action was now. Without wasting another minute Butorega began his descent and moved to flank the group from behind. The young brigand made sure he stood low and quite. Their mage seemed to practice the dark arts and Butorega did not want to be at the bad end of one of her spells.
Karma hqad it's day, as the young brigand mistakenly kicked a rock. The pebble blasted forward and slammed into the caft of the young shamen. An exspression of worry filled the eyes of the young brigand as he looked up to see if the shamen had noticed his position despite his error.

Yunneth couldn't believe these two idiots. Why could they not be civil about this? Muscle headed idiots...As Yunneth moved, she heard a pebble. She looked at her allies and looked at them. She wanted to investigate the sound. The shadows didn't seem right.
"...I shall return in a moment boys..."
Yunneth glides through the shadows. She was so attuned with the shadows, she was able to blend in. The young shaman approaches where the brigand was and glares at him. The way she looked, it made her look evil. Though she wasn't evil per say, her appearance was enough to make some men shutter in fear. Yunneth looks at the young brigand and holds onto her tome.
"...Who ,in the darkest pits of hell, are you? Are you looking to be torn apart in a bloody manner? I can "happily" oblige to the request..."
It was apparent Yunneth was the one threatening the bandit. It was apparent that for a shaman, she had real back bone. Then again she hated bandits with a passion and she would try to be as morbid as possible as a sign to show she would kill them if they crossed her. Yunneth's eyes met his and soon she was already trying to read his movements like a rabid beast watches it's prey.

Fierce, the word seemed to pop into Butorega's head as he took in the image of the mage. She had made a great effort to blend into the shadows, but the young bandit could still make out her form. Years of living in caves and late night raids had honed such a skill. The yourng brigand stared at the shamen straight into her menacing eyes. He knew them well as they marked the face of every bandit in his old brigade. He had grew up around such eyes and had come to like the look of them. No, the emotion was stronger. Butorega loved that look, and pefered it over the smile and glee of the city. That was the way a comrade should look, devoid of weakness.
She has a strong look to her, thought Butorega as he lowered his axe. He knew better than to fight a shamen head on, or at least without the pleasue of drawing first blood. Dark magic was not the most accurate, nor the fastest of magic, but it was the most powerful Butorega's resitance was not even recordable. Butorega had no intention of being on the wrong end of her spell. The young briand immediately placed both of his hands in the air showing that he had surrendred and ment no harm. However a wolfish grin still covered his face. His eyes were still sharp and with his weapon though strattled across his waist still gave the young brigand menacing aura.
"I mean you no harm", spoke the brigand. His face however was still covered with his wolfish grin. He continue to speak as he now had the mages attenton. "It seemes that you and your comrades have same need as I. I simply seek to parley with you."

Things were not the way Aurek had hoped. Especially because he couldn't tell where he was. Being blind has that affect on someone. Curse that light magic user. A random group had abducted him soon after his fight was over and carried him away. Apparently none too soon either. A dragon had appeared in the arena and the city had become a giant mess. Or so his abductors had told him. They weren't horrible, they just treated him roughly, which was still enough to anger him. Actually, just kidnapping him had been enough to set Aurek off. He would have tried to fight, but they held onto his lance and he definitely wasn't stronger than those who carried him. What monsters are these? he had wonder. Not much talking happened after Aurek had stopped cursing them. In fact, the group made hardly any noise at all.
They traveled through the mountains of Bern for a day or so before the group dropped him off. Wherever it was, it was cool and probably dark. Most likely nighttime, concluded Aurek, in a cave. After setting him down, they proceeded to hit him repeatedly. Aurek moaned and tried to cover himself from the blows he couldn't see coming. Oddly, the spots that were hit didn't hurt much more than a slight stinging. After they quit, he could hear soft footsteps leaving. Then a voice spoke not far from his ear. "Now you look perfectly pathetic. Try not to do anything too stupid. We've saved your life once. Don't make us do it again. Oh, and try to defend yourself a little better from now on." How the man had said the last sentence made Aurek very confused. It was almost as if the man was driving Aurek to improve himself. And like the man had provided a way to do that.
Aurek swung at the voice but no one was there anymore. He cursed them and himself as he lay there. Finally, he got up and began searching the area. They must have left my lance here. he though to himself. Crawling around, feeling the ground, was not Aurek's preferred method but the only one available to him. His scrounging was successful to a certain degree. He did find something. But it wasn't his lance. It was a shield. This was what the mystery man had meant by defend himself better. Against his better judgement, Aurek decided to keep the gift. He still needed his lance. As his search spread farther and farther, he felt a cool breeze. As he crawled closer and closer, knowing he must be nearing the entrance, Aurek's hand brushed up against something. It was his lance! With his small amount of remaining confidence finally restored, Aurek got up and continued heading toward the entrance at a slightly quicker pace. It was good to be walking again.
Using his lance as a cane and probe, Aurek had successfully prevented himself from tripping... too much. There was something about being blind that was almost stifling. Oh yeah, the part where you couldn't see anything! Aurek cursed magic. And fell flat on his face. The racket caused by his falling over was only outdone by the unintelligible streams of curse words that flowed freely from Aurek's mouth. Had he cared to pay attention, he would have been able to hear people whispering nearby, but he really didn't care. Everything was against him anyway.
