Name: Elisabeth "Lisa" Gauss
Class: Pegasus Knight
Hair Color: Chestnut
Eye Color: Olive
Age: 19
Appearance: Lisa is a fully grown and generally sunny woman. She has a soft face that is no stranger to smiling, and pale skin like the snow of her home. She's not exactly a giant, but she isn't a dainty looking flower either, standing somewhere in between yay high and eh high. Expanding on her not daintiness, she's got the build of a pegasus rider, which is similar to that of the build of a equestrian. Only more so, since she also has a spear she lugs around and uses liberally. She ties her long brown hair into a ponytail to keep it out of her face while riding, when flying through the air is added to the whole equation you sort of have to or else you'll end up half blind from your hair flipping out. She also sports a pair of expressive olive green eyes, that do nothing to hide her emotions. Though she's yet to earn the battle hardened body of a warrior, she does have experience and she is familiar with combat. Even if it's just with bandits.
Lisa's friend, Medusa, is a young mare. With a long wingspan of pure white feathers, and a snow white mane, May is considered by many an enthusiast a beautiful steed.
Clothes: Lisa doesn't get to wear clothes often anymore, she used to enjoy wearing all sorts when she was younger. Nowadays all she wears is her uniform, the armor of a pegasus knight. It's white and gold, and designed to cover the most vital areas exposed in the air, while not being heavy enough to cause the pegasus undue exertion. There's also a dark blue, almost black cloth she wears underneath the armor, but the set itself is unremarkable. She rarely gets a chance to wear anything else, and usually when she does it's a simple tunic of some sort and some color.
Born in: Arphen, Ilia
Story: Elisabeth was born into a life of moderate comfort. Her father and mother, along with her two brothers and one sister got by just fine. Her father was a blacksmith, and her mother a seamstress. Her elder sister apprentices undo her mother, and her oldest brother apprenticed under her father. He other brother went off to become a scholar, who wanted to become a politician of some sort. This left Lisa without a path to follow, and without a passion to pursue. She wasn't particularly gifted in anything, nor was she particularly cursed. Her singing voice was alright, her cooking was decent, her art was fine, she wasn't exactly athletic but she also wasn't a wimp. She didn't have any particular thing she excelled at, that would help point her in the right direction. Her brother and sister had their futures already mapped out, but she was struggling to find where to begin.
Now Elisabeth wasn't an ugly child, she always knew she could marry well and live a comfortable life if that was what she wanted. Still, what little girl goes to bed at night dreaming they'll spend their entire life taking care of some man they've never even met? That's what she did though, she dreamed of meeting some rich man who would sweep her off her feet and help her find a passion in life. It was almost ironic in a way, it wasn't so much the man she dreamed of but finding something that she could put all of her heart into. She dreamed of having a dream.
So she lived basically day by day. She never really thought too much about the future, and enjoyed her time as it passed. She made friends, wore clothes, read books, ate sweets, all the things a child is expected to do. Since she wasn't planning on a life of higher education, she was mostly homeschooled along with her siblings. Aside from her brother who planned on being on the council one day, of course. It was a schooling process that once again left her somewhere in the middle, she could read and write and do basic math but she wasn't exactly well versed on history or the world. She filled her time with multiple hobbies, all of which she would pick up and put down within short distance of each other. She gave up easily, and eventually got back around the hobbies she dropped and tried them once more, only to give up again.
For the majority of her life, at least the life she could remember, Ilia had been the ones at the head of Bern. She saw the changes it brought forth first hand, the eventual merging of many mercenary guilds to become a national army. With Bern helping provide for Ilia, they needn't rely so direly on the mercenary fighters to help finance their land. It was surreal for most people, but for her it was completely natural because she never knew anything else. It was peaceful, outside of bandit raids there was never anything to worry about. The raids never reached as far as Arphen though, so even then she was safe.
It wasn't until she was a bit older that the thought of being a knight even cross her mind. She wasn't all that old at the time, about fourteen or fifteen. Maybe a bit older or younger, and still at a loss of what to make of herself. She was young enough that she didn't need to start her life quite yet, but she was nearing a point where it was growing more and more important for her to make a decision. It was almost as if someone heard her dilemma and sent a sign, as a majestic steed flew above her in the air. She's seen them many times before, this was Arphen after all, but for some reason it really stuck with her. It was the first time she really even thought about the knights, she's heard stories of course. Of Feldsky and the knights that flit about the land, but they were always just that. Stories. Things she's been told, that she heard, they didn't feel like real things. It wasn't until she saw that Pegasus that it even entered her mind that she could be one. That being a Knight could be her calling, she could see the world and travel the land. Ride atop a Pegasus, and help keep her family safe. A grand image slowly etched itself in her mind as she grew more and more excited, this could be her calling.
That was the path that lead her to becoming a knight, and while it may not be one that is fraught with excitement or drama, it's one that she is very passionate about. While she isn't entirely sure if this is what she really wanted to do with her life, it was so much better than sitting every day worrying about where her life is not going.
