It was a Sunday, and Barta's Beast were not looking for a mark. No today was the one day in the week they took out time to rest and simply enjoy life. Their usual spot was a little village called Sweet Knoll. Helen and Morgan spent there time in the library simply reading while Odin practiced with his bow. Han enjoyed simple riding and the taste of good mead. All that was left was Orland.
"Tsch weaklings", spoke Orland as he marched though the street. The giant of a man stomped around practically looking for trouble. Peace was not his element. He enjoyed the violence he enjoyed the rush. However he understood that the others had their own pursuits, well everyone other than Odin. Odin was like him, but that archer sought perfection. He could not accept missing a shot. Everything he did was around archery, and thus he spent his day off practicing. Orland was the same however he did not have anyone to practice with. stabbing randomly in an open field was not his thing either. So he figured if he stumped around town long enough he would find some trouble to get into.

Since it was a sunday, School wasn't open until Monday. Dio walked to the small village of Sweet Knoll. He was looking different items such as blank parchment, ink, and a few other items. His eyes looked out the corners and saw the hulking Knight, stomping his way through the streets, and sadly enough he was on his way towards Dio. Paying for the items, he would place them in a bag that was tied to his belt. Standing up straight, he walked towards the man, but by accidnet ran into him. "I am so sorry sir. I didn't mean to run into you. I'm in a hurry to get back to my village and stumbled into you." He said, but would also think at the same time. 'Dang, he's huge. He could kill me in close range, but magic would prevail over the armour...if he dares.' The school teacher looked up at the man, waiting to see what would happen. His Flux Tome was underneath his robe, tucked away incase he needed it.

"Hay watch were you are going", spoke Orland as he stared down at Dio. He began to examine the man looking at him from head to toe. He was wearing nothing, but cloth and had no weapon at his side. From what Orland could tell he was a defenses little dweeb. "Sheep", spoke Orland out loud. He did not want sheep. He wanted a fight. He wanted something with fangs that could bite back. He wanted a wolf, but instead he got a lamb.
"Whatever just move out of my way little man", spoke Orland as he looked down upon Dio.

Raising an Eyebrow at what the giant said. "Your calling me...a sheep? Judge not a book by the cover or you will weep what you sew." Dio stood his ground. His hands disappeared into his robe as his left hand grabbed the Tome. He was now ready for combat. A Feint smile came across his face as he took three steps back to give some breathing space. " I may be little, but I'd rather be little then an Oof like yourself." Spoke Dio who studied his opponent, and kept his eyes on the Iron Lance that Orland carried with him. 'On second thought, this could be a bad idea...but oh well, to far into this to back down now.'

"Pshaw, you want to fight me little man", spoke Orland with both amusement and disbelief. Here he was a giant clad in steel armor being challenged by a pipsqueak. This man must be crazy or has something up his selves. Either way this was going to be interesting. Orland pulled his spear off his shoulder and twirled it with one arm. He then stabbed the tip into the ground and threw down his shield.
"Their ain't no fun in killing a man who can't properly fight back", spoke Orland. By this time however a crowd had formed. Everybody in town wanted to see the giant fight the man. Orland was already a hot topic thanks to his size. The situation was starting to escalate as people from the crowd surrounded them. All of their eyes were focused on him.
"Well put your guard up sheep", spoke Orland.

"My guard is up you big Loaf." Dio smiled even more now as his right hand came back out of the slevee. Taking a single step back, he would have his right side aiming at the man so that his tome wasn't visible. The Shaman aimed his right hand at the giant of a man. He knew that the only way for him to best this Bear was to strike first and to catch him off guard even more then he already is now. The crowed began to make wagers on who was going to win. Most of the crowed had placed Orland to win, but a very small few placed their wagers on Dio. His white robe began to flicer as if wind was sweeping it, but the odd part was. There was no wind, not even a breeze. With that said, his hand glowed purple and the dark art of Flux went into the ground where it would reappear right underneath Orland's feet. It's tenderals would quickly whip up to him. If it struck, not only was his pride hurt but also his health since magic was strong against Knights.

"Magic", spoke Orland as he saw the glow come from his feet. The very idea of the attack pissed him off. Here he had put down his weapon and the weak mageling was using his tome. This is why he hated mages. They had no honor, or sense of pride in a fight. They resorted back to their spells at the first chance even in a game of arms.
The flux spell hit like a charm. The magic ripped through the big knight like it was cutting through paper. The giant was force to take a knee as the pain radiated throughout his entire body. People in the crowd began to mummer and talk about the magic and how the knight went down so easily. As much as the blow hurt his body it only pissed Orland off.
"Sneaky little mageling", spoke Orland as he rose off the ground. He reached his hand over and grabbed his spear and his shield from the ground. Before hand Orland was just looking for a good fist fight now he was looking for blood.

"Going against an Opponent with your size, I'm going to take every chance I get when it arises. If you want to continue, then so be it. But be warned Knight, that was just a taste of my power and I won't think twice about the next move Either." His right hand was lowered as he took another few steps back to give some breathing room for Orland. Word began to travel around the town as the massive knight was taken down with one blast of magic. It would sure enough reach Orland's Companions ears of the news. But the group began to give Dio a nickname. 'Chameleon' since the fact that Dio was wearing all white robes but used a dark magic. So the town knew of a Shaman amongest them, but they didn't mind since they were getting a good show so far.
Lifting his hood, it would fall backwards as he would watch the knight's next move. 'Almost like a game of chess. Not knowing what the next move will be.' He thought to himself as his right hand rested at his side. His left hand would now slide back through the slevee as he prepared to raise the power of his attacks. "I'm not a mage Simpletin" Shifting his weight to his left leg, he prepared to move incase he used the massive spear that he hulked around.

"Mages", spoke Orland as he stared at Dio. Magic was a fierce enemy for a knight to face. Their armor was useless and weighed them down. The Shaman gave warning, but it was too late for warning. If he would have done so in the begin Orland would have let it go, but he had drawn blood, and blood beget blood. Still taking down a Shaman was not an easy feet for the giant of a man. If he tried a frontal assault he would only get blasted again. From the damage he received from the first attack he wagered he only had two more hits in him before he was done.
From the crowd four men watched the seen. A ill smile crossed their face as the saw the giant knee hit the ground. It was more than they could have asked for. They had been tracking Barta's Beast for quite some time now. Their cousins had meet their end to that group of bandits and they were out for revenge. The quartet drew their weapons. The first had a blade. The second and axe. The third a bow, and the last a lance. They were prepared to move in and finish off their first and most important target.
Without warning or sign Orland dashed to his right as fast as his armor would allow. His actions caught his stalkers off guard. They did not expect for him to move so quickly, nor for him to chose that path. They thought the man would charge forward like all brutes usually did. Instead he turned the crowd of spectators into a shield baring the shaman from simply using his magic.
As Orland pushed through the people he lowered his shield and scooped a young lad up. Using his momentum he turned and threw the boy at the Shaman. As the boy flew through the air he moved in for a strike. Seeing the opportunity the swordsmen dashed in to take a shot at Orland. He figured the knight would not notice him since he was focused on the shaman. Orland however caught a glimpse of him from the corner of his eye as he released the lad into the air. He took a hard step with his right foot and shifted his body to a stable stance. The blade smashed against the tip of Orland's shield as the knight barely caught the man's blade.

Dio watched as the Knight ran into the crowed, but it was only then where he noticed a group of men watching the Knight. As Orland moved, their heads moved. 'He's a target. Might as wel...OH MOTHER EARTH! A CHILD?!? REALLY?!?' He thought to himself as he came back as the child was thrown at Dio. Sighing on his good nature, he would catch the child and set him down. "Stay low and get out of here...It's going to get bad real fast." The Shaman quickly stood up and saw the swordsman attempt to strike the Knight. Shaking his head, both his hands would lift up. His body now outlined in purple and blackness, his robes flickered violently as the Flux went into the ground again. This time around, Dio was putting out more power for this attack to happen. Orland would see the symbol show up again, but this time underneath the swordsman. THe long black tendrels came up fast and struck the man down faster then he arrived to fight Orland. The flux let the man go as he hit the ground. His pupils were now gone. His eyes rolled up into the back of their sockets. He was dead and the remaining three saw what did him in.
"I do believe that they interrupted our spar Knight. It would seem that they want you dead. So in that matter, I stop our match to start a new against the remaining three." He kept a calm face as he was starting to get a bit exhausted from using his flux. But he had to push himself to the limits to make sure that they both made it out alive from this town.

"Not again", shouted Orland as he saw the signs appear on the ground. He jumped back as quickly as he could, but the magic had already rose up. To his surprise however he was not the target. The flux spell took out the swordsman rather than hit the knight. For a moment Orland was a bit confused till the man began to speak. It seemed he did not favor Orland's attackers. Thought Orland did not know why. He guess their beef was over something petty as a bump in the road. These men aimed to kill.
"Take out the shaman", spoke the axe user to the archer as he raised his weapon. "We will take out the giant he spoke as he and the soldier charged forward. Orland noticed the two coming toward him. A normal knight would simply hold his position and counter and attack. Orland however was not a normal knight. As the two charged forward so did Orland. The giant was already itching for a fight and his two would be assassins were just scratching it for him.
The first to reach him was the fighter. He swung his axe horizontally hoping to bog down Orland's shield and allow his lance wielding friend the opportunity to attack. Orland however had a complete different plan. The knight pulled back on his shield with his left arm and bashed the fighters weapon in mid strike. He kept the fighters axe on the other side of his shield and stabbed his lance forward toward the soldier. His longer arm reach gave him the advantage against the soldier. Realizing that he was going to run straight into the spear the soldier stopped his charge and raised his shield. The blow smashed against the light shield, but did not pierce through.
"Get out of my way weakling", shouted Orland as he pressed his weight against the shield. He threw the fighter back and rushed the soldier. The soldier stabbed forward with his spear, but the knight blocked it with his great shield. Orland held the shield at a angle so the spear tip would slide toward his left side. He then stabbed forward with his own spear, but this time he could put some power behind it. The soldier raised his shield, but Orland's iron spear pierced it. The iron tip went through the shield and found its place into the man's skull. Rather than waste time pulling his spear out Orland left it where it was and took the dead man's. As he turned the fighter was already coming at him.

Dio was about to attack the soldier when he heard an arrow wizz by his head. His eyes locked onto the archer, aiming his hand he would unleash his attack. The flux would go but the archer was quicker then he had thought. The archer had jumped out of the way as the flux reached for him. 'Blast, a quick little bugger he is.' With another arrow knocked on the string, the archer took quick aim and fired. This time around, it hit the Shaman in the left shoulder. Growling to himself, he would aim both hands at him and fired his flux. With more power needed into it, he even tapped into a bit of his own life force. The flux seeped into the ground like usual, but before the archer could avoid it, the black and purple mass shot out of the ground with great speeds that made him fly back a few feet. But unlike the swordsman, the archer was still alive. "Ugh, why can't you be a good little archer and just die?" Again, another arrow wizzed by him. THe archer tried to fire an arrow while he was on the ground. The archer slammed his fist and got back to his feet to try and get a better shot off.
But as the archer pulled back his string to fire, a group of tendrels wrapped around him. Fear struck the bowman as he saw his target was glowing purple and both his hands were up in the air. Dio was controling the tendrels of the flux. The tendrels wrapped around their prey and began to constrict upon him like an Andaconda. The archer faught for air, but the more he struggled, the more the tendrels squeezed the life out of him. Slowly but surely, the archer died from suffication and his body was thrown at towards the Fighter, who's back was towards Dio. Once the body was in motion, the flux subsided and Dio fell to his right knee panting heavily. "I shouldnt' have done that. That eats alot of my energy. If I keep that up, I won't be able to run if I have to later."

The fighter pulled back to strike at Orland when suddenly the archer flew from behind him and knocked him over. Such a poor twist of fate for the fighter. As he fell over Orland moved to work. The knight swiftly turned and took a heavy step on the skull of the archer. He was not sure if the man was dead, but he was sure now. He then thrusted his lance forward with all his might. The fighter would have probably dodge such an obvious strike if he was standing however he was not. The archer had knocked the wind right out of him and the blow left him open for Orland's attack. The spear ripped clean through him and pierced through the stone street. Blood ran from his body as the street turned red.
"Good shot mage", spoke Orland as he looked up at Dio. Suddenly a clamor came from the crowd as two more armed men rushed out. It seemed that his would be assassins had reinforcements. Two men with axes charged forward attempting to attack the knight. Suddenly an arrow ripped through the crowd and landed in the first fighters neck. Oden had arrived and took the opportunity to pick off one of the men. The second man's axe was meet by Orland's shield. As the axe head clashed against the wall of steel Morgen dashed in and stabbed the man between the ripbs twice. She had been hiding in the crowd and saw the perfect moment. "Oden, Morgen", spoke Orland as Helen came from the crowd.
"Barta's beast assemble", shouted the woman. Next to her Han who seemed to have meet up with here coming here.
"What is going on", asked Orland ad the group came together.

Forcing himself to stand, he would grab a blood root from his bag of herbs and chewed on it. Giving him a boost of energy, he would look around as chaos was swarming through the crowed. With two other fighters being taken cared of, Dio looked around for anything else out of the ordinary and of course, there was. A person with a pointed hood stood off from the distance watching. In his hands was a book. Squinting hard to see what it showed, the symbol was an old one of Fire. 'A Mage, I'll deal with this one.' Lifting up his hand, he would shoot out a blast of his flux which ate some more of his energy and his life force. Being caught off guard, the mage took a direct hit from the flux and hit the ground. But slowly stood up. Looking around, the mage locked onto the Shaman who stood amongest the crowed running for fear. Seeing a blast of fire formed and hurled, Dio quickly pushed people out of the way as the blast hit him. Thankfully it hit his left arm.
Not leaving a to bad of a burn, Dio would retailet with his own attack. The flux seeped into the ground and snatched the mage. Not playing around, Dio crushed the mage with the tendrels and threw the body away like it was trash. Feeling the exhaustion, Dio would hunch over trying to catch his breath. Never did he have to use this much of magic at one time. Now he saw why his mentor warned him on using so much of his magic.

"What the heck", spoke Orland as he saw the mage and shaman do battle.
"Is that the shaman", asked Odin as he pulled back on his bow. He had heard the roomers about the knight and the shaman and was not pleased to hear his comrade hurt.
"NO he is on our side", spoke Orland. He did not touch Odin's bow though. He knew better than that. The archer looked at him and then withdrew his arrow.
"Still it looks like somebody is after you", spoke Morgan.
"More like after us", spoke Helen. "I bet it is more people from that clan. When will those rodents learn to leave us be. We did not start the fight they did".
"Not from the lack of trying", spoke Orland as he noticed a shift in the people. More men were lurking in the crowd. Orland knew they would make their move, but not when.
"Makes me kind of wonder how they found us", asked Han.
"How could they not", spoke Morgan. "We are walking around with the biggest sign in all of Sacea", spoke hte maiden as she looked at Orland.
"What", spoke the giant.
"Morgan speaks some truth", spoke Helen. "As long as Orland is traveling with us we won't have any peace from this clan. Helen stopped for a moment and began to think. "We need to get back to Bern.", she spoke suddenly. "In Bern we will have the advantage and would not have to worry about their surprise attacks. However we can not do it with Olrand around."
"What was that", spoke Orland as he kept an eye on the crowd. Suddenly an arrow flew by and bounced off his shield. Odin returned the fire and ended the archer.
