"Staff? Oh!"
The woman looked around, not seeing a staff or anything of that sort... Wait, over there. Jogging a couple dozen meters away, she picked up the rod, holding it gingerly in her hands as if it would explode. She didn't want to mess up and accidentally make the staff shoot flames, or call down lightning bolts, or any of the other powerful things she knew magic could do.
Returning to Vaan, she held it out, offering it to him as one might a ticking time-bomb or a soiled diaper. She was actually quite afraid that it might bite her, not only figuratively but also literally. For someone born and raised on the sea of grass, magic was an almost completely alien concept.
"Ah, erm, here. I have your staff, Vaan."
She was quite interested in what would happen next; magic was such an intriguing topic. How did it work?

Vaan took the staff from Tamaya. "Thank you". He pointed it at his horse's wound and relaxed himself and the staff lit up with a slight glow. The bite wound lit up with a similar glow and the hide started to regrow over the wound in front of their very eyes. With one down he then faced Tamaya. "Are you hurt anywhere? Or your mount?" After making sure they were good, or healing any wounds he then turned to his own bleeding hand.
Unlike the other wounds, this was a magic wound. It came from his own magic, when he started casting to hard and it started to tear the skin off. It was a shallow wound, but it was wide enough to bleed badly. He used his staff on his bleeding hand and the blood stopped shortly after. He was feeling woozy from all the magic and the blood lose but other than that fine. "Would you mind helping me stand?"

"I... Thank you."
As the man healed all of their wounds, Tamaya watched the glowing rod carefully. It was such an interesting thing to behold... Her wounds simply sealed themselves, the blue aura wiping the damage away like a wave wiped away lines in the sand. Simply magical.
"Oh! Yes, I can help you."
Tamaya moved over, stooping and placing the man's arm over her shoulders and wrapping her arm around his midriff.
"Okay, now..."
With a small grunt, she stood, bringing the man with her, so that he now stood, leaning on her.
"Are you all right? Do you need time to rest?"

"Yes, just for a little while more, thank you." He stood up with Tamaya's aid and wobbled for a little bit before he managed to stabilize himself. He was more than tiered, he was drained. The stress of his nightmare, added onto with his strained magic usage, and with a fair bit of blood loss on top of it all. In fact, it was almost a great feat just to be standing. But it was not will power that kept him up, it was raw and pure fear. Fear over what he had just saw, fear of what he had seen long ago, fear of what would happen if he fell asleep. He shook himself a little bit and hobled over to a near by tree and leaned against it as Chaos found time to check out the other horse.
"Say, what is your friend's name?"He took his mind off nightmarish feinds and to a much more warm and comforting topic, horses. Chaos, his own best friend, had always been there for him even since he had saved him so long ago. His real name was not Chaos, but it was a nick name earned from the days of hell. People would say that Vaan rode Chaos to save people and the name just was absorbed by his mount. It was a sill thing but it just stuck. Vaan forced the thoughts of his home out of his head before they started to over whelm him. It was a question about a horse's name after all, not that much more.

"All right. I'm here if you need me for anything, all right, Vaan?"
As the Seer went about recovering, the Nomad kept on watching, trying to be ready in case he needed her for anything. However, it seemed like he was finally stable. That was good, he seemed like a nice man. It would be a shame if he died or something from his experience. He also saved her from the wolves, so she was more than glad to do anything she could for him.
"Oh! His name is Shikoba. He has been my horse since birth. Ever since I was old enough to shoot a bow, I've trained with him. We've been on all of our adventures together, and I think of him as if he was a sibling of mine. I care for him like a child, too. He and I are very close."
Looking over at the two horses grazing together, side by side, she smiled. They were already getting along and becoming friends. Just like two young children. It was cute.
"What is yours named?"
Tamaya was curious as to how the man would respond. With her horse, she had a tribal name, as was customary in Sacae. But for Vaan... Well, his name was already quite different, so she would be quite interested to see what he had named his steed. Some names just felt right, and she wanted to find out what he had chosen. In fact, she wanted to know quite badly. It was almost an unresolved chord, aching to relieve itself and dispel the built-up tension.
