Keeping to the plan and staying in the back Borgus began to manipulate the light magic. He knew if he wanted to control this side of the battlefield he needed to let the guards do the heavy lifting and use his magic as a distraction. The best way to do that was to simply have it over head. The bandits would look up in terror of the light gathering above their heads. They wondered if it would come down and strike at them. As they looked up at the light they left themselves exposed to the guards. The guards would rush in and kill a few or get in a good blow. Then the bandits attention will be turned from the light and then unto the guards. Once that happen Borgus would bring down the light and pick off a bandit killing him in the most painful way possible. Borgus wanted him to scream as is screams of agony alerted the others to the danger of the magic. So once again their attention would be turned from the soldiers and placed on the brilliant death looming over head, and the cycle would continue over and over again.
"Brilliant plan", spoke Borgus to himself as he waited for the bandits to drop their guard again so he could strike with his light. It was in that moment his eyes picked up on movement on the other side of the battlefield. He saw the warrior and his bow and the foolish lad falling over.
"Revenge is useless if you are dead", spoke Borgus aloud. He knew the boy could not hear him, but he spoke the words anyway. With a wave of his hand he sent the light magic flying. Immediately the bandits cringed with the thought of who next. Instead of falling down upon their little group it flew across the battlefield and hit the warrior dead into his right eyes. The brilliant light dug into his eyeball destroying it and leaving the man screaming in agony.

Gabe painfully got to his feet. he was hurt but still very much alive and able to fight. The leader was still out there and Gabe readied his Bow to fire but then Gabe saw in horror the leader was doing the same. He stared Dow t Gabe and Gabe stared back at him both were hurt both were tired and both had only 1 arrow left in their quivers it was down to one shot each and it felt like and eternity. Time had slowed way down Gabe could feel his heart pumping in his chest which was racing his mind had shut down there was no more thought no more guessing and no more distractions there was only action.
Gabe and the bandit drew their bow aimed and fired. both arrows flew though the air for what felt like forever the arrows nicked each other in the air nudging them off course which made a miracle happen. The arrows landed the bandit had hit a nearby tree next to Gabe but Gabe's arrow hit him directly in the heart it was done. In the moment that lasted forever it had been done in an instant Gabe had no words to describe the feeling that he had after this was it joy or horror excitement or sadness something had happened to him after that but he wasn't sure what.
Once Gabe came to his senses he noticed his friend lying down on the ground "DAMON!!!" Yelled Gabe running towards the body. He was out cold but still alive his horse however was not so lucky Gabe hurled the body over his shoulder and walked back to town the bandits had retreated and the guard had lost very few if any men. Overall it went well but Gabe still couldn't pinpoint his feelings towards what happened.

"Flee you armatures", shouted Borgus as the bandits began to retreat. Their cowardly withdraw left disgust in Borgus heart. If he was in charge of this battle things would most defiantly had turned out different. These fools were just to stupid to make use of their advantages and overrun the city. Still it was good for him that they were such fools. If they had done it right and taken the city Borgus would most likely be one of the first people on their list to kill. He had done a considerable amount of damage with his light magic. Still it was not time to be thinking about what ifs or if I's. It was the time to celebrate and to move to the next step. Borgus wanted to get this done as soon as possible. The more damage he did to these guys the higher chance that he might be known for aiding this kid. Borgus needed a dirt reputation if he wanted to keep his business in Bern. If people started talking about he was a double agent then he will have a hard time running the black market he and the other guys set up.
"Hey Gabe", spoke Borgus as he began to look around. He hoped the kid did not get himself killed. It would suck if he died right after they defeated the pirates. If Borgus would have known he was going to die then he would have not fought so hard in the battle. He could have just let the brat die so all of his obligations were over and then return to Bern, or at the very least finish off the bandits and then leave. "Great now I am going to have to search the corpses", spoke Borgus. It was then that Borgus noticed the young archer walking with something over his shoulder. "Well looks like I am in luck", spoke Borgus as he crossed the battlefield and moved to meet up with him.
