Drei quietly sat where he had all but forcibly been placed so that his wounds could be tended too. He wasn't keen on the idea of someone else touching him...even if it was just to examine a cut or bandage him up. His eyes turned to linger upon the girl commenting about how she would need to bandage him up and suggested he saw a healer. Drei sighed a bit quietly before looking up; snowy white strands of hair messily obscuring most of his face as his amber eyes lingered on the field spread out before them. Small fires idly burned upon the green plains lands in small little pockets. Even then they were simply lingering traces of the two mages who had been fighting the brigands, their magic still aflame in small segments on some of the men. Then there was the men he had killed. Individuals whose corpses were so horribly maimed and disfigured by the Elder magic; some shriveled and dried out while others who had taken stronger bursts looked as if they had some horrifying white rash take to their skin.
Drei had seen the effects of Elder Magic before. Likely hadn't seen the last of it either. However his attention diverted back to the girl speaking as she looked at his wounds beneath his robe again. Drei was starting to get his composure back. The cold edge returning to him and his passive exterior that was dismissive to almost everything finally rebuilding it's self. "If I can find one, I'll look into getting it healed. Thank you for assisting with my wounds." It was bitter. Feeling the wounds to his pride as he was forced to accept the help of another so idly. Especially since this girl had tried attacking him when he first showed up. Drei lifted his hand to the side and away from the girl as she bandaged his wound. He slowly narrowed his gaze and focused on his extended fingers. Shadowy whisps and strands of darkness answered his call and began to form as he briefly and lightly tapped into the mass of the Nether. Good. He wasn't out of commission for such means entirely. He hadn't gone too far when trying to fight back. Curling his palm closed he cut the flow of magic as the palpable shadows vanished into the air. He waited, once the girl was done bandaging his side near his rib-cage he could get up and move around.

Mila nodded at shaman guy. He seemed to be bitter, she could tell by the subtle snark of in his voice. Or perhaps it was pain? The boy did take quite the hit. Or perhaps he simply did not like being touched. She had met others like that. But the young shaman was out of harm's way for now.
"Uhm. I know you and Samantha kind of jumped in. I guess you were camping near by. Once our cavalier is done tending to the horses he can gather help you gather your things. The least we can do as thanks is give you a ride to Bulgar in the caravan." She spoke. Mila had finished bandaging his wound. She gave him a small smile before patting him on the shoulder, then heading off to do other things. The other guard who had his wounds stitched up, Joe, was slowly moving around. He was picking up any of the lighter things and slowly piling inside of the caravan.
Ed replied to Samantha's question.
"Ah, milady we are looking to scavenge gold, weapons, medicine. Thought it sounds cruel, we lost many supplies today. Our pay has been compromised as a result. The gold we scavenge will help fund the remainder of the trip. Weapons we can resell. Medicine is to help tend to our wounds. It would not be right of me to have a lady as yourself scavenge the weapons. So you just leave that to me."
It was at this point Mila joined in. She had her scarf on for protection.
"I'm on medicine duty. Once were done here were giving these guys a ride into the city." She commented before going to scrounge up the corpse of a dead bandit. The events of the day were starting to wear on her. There was a small frown on her face for the rest of the day. Her body craved for rest. She wished for the dawn of the next day. The young mage sighed and moved on to the next corpse. Ed looked on as Mila went to work. He sighed.
"It seems that you are scavenging gold then m'lady. Time is of the essence as we do not know if there are more bandits. Please do try to be quick." He nodded softly at Samantha before he went off to examine weapons. The caravan was slowly packed with scavenged things. Though the grasslands around them were littered with bodies of the dead, soon the caravan would be as it was before the attack. The cavalier arrived to help Drei with his things.

Samantha gave a nod to Mila and Ed. Gold it was. Ed was right, it did sound cruel, but the rest of his words were correct as well. It made sense that with everything that had happened today, they would need some sort of funds to cover repairs, losses, and injures. With this in mind, she approached the nearest body. The man looked like he could be asleep. Well, if not for the gaping hole in her chest. As she understood it, many people felt uncomfortable around the dead. Samantha had never understood why. Unless reanimated, there was no need to fear the dead. The living are the ones you should fear.
She knelt down next to the body and looked it over. Deciding the pockets would be the best place to start, she cautiously reached in and felt around. Nothing. She reached over and tried his other pocket. There was a slight jingling noise as she did and when she pulled her hand out, she had several coins with it. It wouldn't solve everything, but it was a start. Standing back up, she pulled out an extra bag she had and tossed the coins inside. She figured it would be easier to hold any coins in a bag than just in her pockets, she moved onto the next body. It took a number of minutes to go around to each body, or rather each body that wasn't too crispy to search. When she was done, she took the bag of coins over to Ed. "The gold."

"Uhm. I know you and Samantha kind of jumped in. I guess you were camping near by. Once our cavalier is done tending to the horses he can gather help you gather your things. The least we can do as thanks is give you a ride to Bulgar in the caravan" Drei's gaze shifted to hers as he tilted his head as if to look at her confused for a moment. He was quiet, and though his side hurt and his body ached undeniably from overdoing it with his magic it was not the reason he was quiet. Slowly shifting from the wagon, Drei stood up with his hand on his side. Slightly dizzy as he gained his footing and grounded himself he started to slowly make his way towards the hillside, speaking back to Mila as he did so. "I am going to start packing up meanwhile..Samantha's set up near my camp site. It's right up the hill we came down."
He was quite as he made his way up the hill, the burning in his legs as he ascended making his calves feel like they were about to burst. The muscles throbbing, sore from his exertions earlier dodging the brigand and made worse by his over all lack of stamina due to his fatigue. As the Shaman reached the hill top, he took a moment to breath; wincing as he held his wound before kneeling near his bags and beginning to roll them up. His horse still resting in the grass. Figured, the lazy lout would find it a time to sunbathe. Ashen strands of hair kept falling to block his vision as he packed up. Once he was done he figured he'd probably help Samantha pack up her bags. If they were going to travel with this caravan he'd rather start sooner than later so they could be over with. He had no idea what type of people they were that traveled nor how they'd react over all. In general he knew it'd be best expedite.

Ed nodded as he took the gold from Samantha. He had collected a small pile of weapons and was loading them into the caravan. As much as the young shaman tried to do things on his own, the cavalier helped him anyway. He was quiet in his work. Mila had amassed a small collection of vulnary and water. the mage loaded them up in the caravan. She shared the water with her friends. Unfortunately she had found Timmy's father among the corpses and objected to tell the young boy. His mother was still missing. Instead she continued to give the young one small orders as a means for him not to realize. The boy was quiet as he worked which worried Mila.
She could see Drei and the Cavalier load things into the caravan. Mila took a moment to sit down. She took a large gulp of her own water. The liquid was refreshing. Her hands were shaking. Damn it. She re capped her water and put it away. He had no idea how the others were mentally fairing with the whole endeavor. She was used to this sort of thing. Used to seeing the fields of bodies. Bodies being killed by bandits were not any different from bodies that had been slaughtered by monsters. But her hands were still shaking, her head still pounding, and now their was a painful lump in her throat. The "what if's" kept rolling around in her mind. There was a good chance she would be dead right now or being carted off as slave had not Samantha and Shaman guy showed up. The thought sent a shiver down her spine. I'm alive. She considered thanking some sort of cosmic entity for her good fortune. She shook her head. Eliminism had become corrupt so that was out. Thank you Mother and Father for thy protection. She closed her eyes momentarily. She did her best to keep her spirits up. She had to.
The trade path to Bulgar was pretty straight forward. If they hurried the group should be at the city sometime during the night maybe early next morning. Once Mila regained her composure she hopped into the caravan. Timmy propped himself under Mila's arm. She casually rubbed his head.
"It'll be alright Tim."
Ed had taken the reigns of the horses.
"Alright. Is everyone folded and loaded?" He asked.

The Shaman stretched out a bit as he felt the soreness ebb through every inch of his limbs. Just sitting still for too long made it feel as though his entire body would lock up. Though that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, it simply meant he'd have to make sure he was in a comfortable position when he rested. Having packed up his roll and tending to his campsite; he requested that the caravan guard helped by packing up Samantha's stuff. While rolling everything up he noticed the white Etrurian horse he had ridden thus far still waited obediently. That was...a surprise. Fingers adjusting the straps on the horses saddle quickly, he tugged at them to ensure their security before packing his bags onto the back of the saddle or some fastened to the sides.
The snowy haired shaman lead it by the reigns a few moments later down the slope slowly. Horses did not take well to steep downwards slants. However despite this it did not take long for them to return to the caravan as Drei shifted his gaze to look around at everyone gathering together. After a few seconds of silence he turned and grunted in pain; struggling and steadily making his way up to the saddle of the horse. His side throbbed and pounded with pain. Yup, he had decided. He would not be dismounting until they reached bulgar. Just climbing felt like he was tearing the wound open. If that meant dying in the saddle, he'd die a man in less pain than one getting up and down constantly that was for sure. Looking to the two mages he spoke after a pause. "I'm ready to go when you are." And go they did, the entire caravan departing for Bulgar. A path best traveled no doubt, but he was content to hang in the back and follow them there.
What a trying day it had been. When they did get there, he would look into resting. He felt he'd earned that much...
