Waiting out the Storm

Somewhere near the Lycia-Nabata Border
Aeos was mildly furious. His travels back to Nabata had been delayed due to a thunderstorm. It seemed that bad weather had traveled over from the east and flooded the only foot path he could take to return to the desert lands. If he were not in such a populated area he could have simply found a secluded spot towards the mountains and flew the rest of the way. But the more rational part of him cautioned against it. Flying through a storm is hazardous. There is lightning.. unpredictable winds.. and blinding rain. We shall keep ourselves firmly rooted to the ground. He shook his head, trying to hold back the urge to tap into his stone. The young dragon had began channeling more and more into the powers of his stone. They were for minor things. To better hear and sense the world around him. To read the spirits of the wind for his usual fortunes. But the fact that he was doing it in higher frequency was starting to upset him.
Even now he felt like tapping into the power of his stone. The wind spirits were restless from the storm and was starting to affect him. He had no reason to be so apprehensive. He was inside a town, in an inn, surrounded by people whom were waiting out the storm. There was a nice fire nearby. He was warm, comfortable, content, and yet he still felt something wrong. As if something was coming. He sighed softly and caved in to his inner desire. He tapped into his stone's power, his eyes became slitted, he closed his eyes to deter strangers, and he simply sat there. To other people it would look like he was simply taking a nap in his chair. Perhaps.. reading the weather.. might calm me down a bit. Perhaps.. give me some insight as to when this weather will pass.
