Tired and exhausted Orcleous looked toward Claira when she began to speak. The maiden kept talking about the skeleton's kinghood. At this point Orcleous did not think it mattered or if the skeleton even knew what a king was. Still her words saved his life so he let her go on. Pulling Xigshaw and throwing it over his shoulder Orcleous felt a bit light headed. He was going to need a drink and a long nights rest. However the day was not over yet. Following the words of the women who saved there behind Orcleous turned toward Raven.
"Crap", spoke Orcleous as he rushed over to her. He kept his hand on Xigshaw as the hammer gave him the power to move on, though he knew he was going to feel it later. Xigshaw increased your strength, but it did not heal you. Rushing over to her Orcleous began to look for any cuts or signs of bleeding. If he was he needed to close it and then get her out of here. To make things worse he would also need to get the other women out.
The first thing Orlceous check was her shoulder. He was sure she got stabbed up there. He had a vulneary in his bag, but he was not sure how much that would help. Pulling back on hers sleeve and ripping clothing if he had too Orcleous began to treat the area.
"Come on, don't die on me now", spoke Orcleous as he pulled out bandages and bandaged it up. The hero then searched to see if there was any other areas that have been hurt. Turning back toward the injured women on the ground Orcleous yelled out to her. "Hey can you walk", he asked. He did not want to have to carry two people out.

The woman nodded her head and walked over. Since she only had one working arm, she followed the blood trail on Claira's left arm all the way to the pauldron. "Her...wound under here.".Her left arm reached over to the strap and slowly unfastend the two leather straps. Then pulled it off to reveal a bad wound.
"That's not good wound. What you want me to do mister Orc?" The woman asked as she took a part of her skirt and pressed it on the wound. Claira's breathing was slow short. Near the elbow had a long slash going down her bare arm since her right arm had the sleeve, not the left.

"Listen carefully", spoke Orcleous. "I know you are hurt, but I need you to rush back to where the horses where and bring her steed. Once you have it come back here as soon as possible." With that Orcleous took over adding pressure on the wound on her shoulder. Releasing pressure for a bit Orcleous took out a slap of his medical jell and pushed it into the wound. He then took some cloth out of his medical sack and began to reapply pressure. Realizing that that was not going to work Orcleous grabbed the bandages and wrapped one across the cloth. He then pressed down reapplying the pressure with his left arm and wrapping it up with his right. The bandage looked like crap, but it would hold and that was all that mattered. After that Orcleous moved to her arm. Following the same procedure he patched that up as well, thought it was not as difficult.
"You know you are needy", spoke orcleous as he sat down on the ground. Looking at the town everything was in shambles. With the head skeleton gone Orcleous was sure any order any monsters had was gone, but he was not completely sure that they all where gone. The town was pretty sizable. There could be more undead inside of houses for all he knew. But where he was, was safe for the moment.
Without Xigshaw giving him strength Orcleous felt weak. However that weakness would have to be. Sitting by his magical hammer Orcleous looked down at his broken sword. "All for nothing", he spoke. At the very least a few of the villagers got out, but there entire reason for coming went down the drain. Orcleous could not have fathomed that the bonewalkers would have used the magical sword themselves. It was a tough lesson learned.

The woman didn't argue, she just got up and ran. It felt almost like an eternity since she left the two in the destroyed street of death. Every now and then Claira would groan as she laid there on the ground. She began to sweat as she laid there. The bandages began to slowly turn red, but didn't seep through. It was showing that it was holding back blood. The sun was slowly starting to set to the west and Orcleous had a great view of it, minus the dead all around the two. Finally, the sound of hooves hitting the ground was heard as the woman was on Claira's horse. She rode it right up to them and stopped not even inches away. With her sliding out of the saddle, she came over and asked. "What else do you need of me? I heard marching coming this way. They must have heard the bell."
In fact, a small band of knights were marching into the village, their heavy boots and the faint sound of their clanking armor was heard. Claira weakly opened her eyes and asked with harshed voice. "Did we win? Or am I dead already?" She had a faint smile as she laid there looking at Orcleous. She felt bad for this was the second time he had saved her, but on the same token. She had also saved him too by buying him critical and well needed time in this conflict. She saw what was left of his sword and closed her eyes and said. "Oh no...your...sword...it's bro...*coughs hard* broken. If I had helped you more Orcleous, you might be wielding it now...i'm sorry." Then her head rolled to the side as she past out again.

As Orcleous heard the sound of marching boots anger grew in his heart. "Now they show up", spoke the hero. People heard rumors about this town for weeks. Now they decided to come. Still there may be more undead inside and the place needed to be swept clean so Orcleous let it be. Still he was going to have a rough trip. Maybe the soldiers had a healer. As Claira awoke Orcleous looked at her in the eyes. "No we are all dead", spoke Orcleous as he gave off a sly smile. The maiden turned the conversation toward his sword. At this point Orcleous was tired of fiery. This was the second time it was used against him, and after today he was glad it was broken. "Hey don't", spoke Orcleous, but the maiden passed out.
The hero gave a long sigh as some fancy nobleman walked up to him. Orcleous already knew what he was going to ask. He would seek out information about the undead and of what happened in the village. As if Orcleous had that answer. Then he would want to know about monsters. Orcleous has a lot of knowledge on that, but he did not really have the time.
"Let me save you some trouble", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the man. "There where bonewalkers, a skeleton king, a magical sword, and several undead coming out of houses. Keep your eyes on the homes there may be more. Also try to burn the corpses before disease spreads like wildfire. Also would you happen to have a healer with you", spoke orcleous. The nobleman over the force looked at him with a puzzled look, but ultimately waved for one of his men to come over. A young maiden with green hair came with a staff and Orcleous directed her toward his friend.
"I am going to have to replace that armor", spoke Orcleous as he sat while the maiden did her work. The hero's eyes stared at his black plate mail and then toward his dead horse. "So much wasted coin", spoke Orcleous.

Once the healer was done, she looked at Orcleous and saw some wounds on him. She used her magic on him while he was looking at his dead horse talking to himself. "Sir, the maiden and you will need to rest for the next few days to recoupe your energy and to fully recover. If you like sir, once we are done you can come with us and recover at our village." The healer waited for his reply and Claira laid there still. The only signs of life was her breathing. The woman cleared her throat and the healer looked at her and studied the arm. "You will need to come with us. No magic can heal a broken limb." The green haired Cleric took out a bandage from a bag and made a make shift arm rest around her neck. The woman thanked her and moved towards the Knights.
"Now Sir, what would you like to do? If you want, I can send two knights with you as an escort." The nobleman said as he and the healer stood there waiting for the answer from the hero. Claira's voice chimed in before he could answer and most likely end up killing the annoying nobleman. "We thank you kind sir, we would be honored to have an escort to your village. Rest sounds wonderful right now, isn't that right Orcleous?" She now looked at him with a smile on her face as the sun shined on her hair making it look like actual gold.

"Yeah we could use the rest", spoke Orcleous as he looked at Claira. He was happy that she recovered, but he sure did not let it be shown on his face. At the moment Orcleous was exhausted. His body shot through a lot of adrenaline and that earlier rage left him emotionally dry. Grabbing Xigshaw and throwing it across his shoulder Orlcoeus turned toward the knights. "I will take that escort as well. With all the beast and creatures in the woods I could use a break." As the hero spoke he heard screams of horror coming from some knights in the distance. He could not really see it, but he knew what was going on. Some of the undead rolled out of a home probably and they where doing battle. The very idea actually made him want to leave that much faster.
"Hey can you stand or are we going to need to use a horse", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the little thief. It never ceased to amaze him that she was actually older than he was. Maybe two years ago it could have been easily seen, but his time wondering around elibi done its work. He put on a lot of muscle and his body took a lot of scars. Worst of all his personality took a major hit. Orcleous people skills where on a all time low. Though that is what he had his darling thief for. Let her talk to the stupid people why he smashed things that tried to bite.
"So have any of you all ever faced the undead before", spoke Orcleous as he began to make small talk with a few of the knights. Sharing information about monsters was the only way they where ever going to defeat them. Orcleous was sue that his battles with the beast had not come to a end. Not as long as that thing still existed.

Slowly standing up, she felt a bit better. But her body screamed at her to lay back down. Claira fought it and said to him. "Nothing a little walk can't hurt. You get on the horse, you been through a hell of a battle Orcleous." She went over to the horse and grabbed the reigns gently bringing the Chestnut mare over to Orcleous. The screams didn't surprise her. It actually made her want to leave this area and hopes that it gets destroyed by a great explosion. Whispering to him as she leaned in, "Please Orcleous, I don't want to be in this forsaken crypt any longer." And Crypt explained it all to well as to what she thought of this place. A village of the dead and the two of them invaded it, killing the king of it. Looking around, she could hear the sounds of blood splattering as weapons clashed with flesh. THe sound actually made her shiver for a bit. This was going to give her nightmares for the rest of her life, she knew that for a fact. You wouldn't be able to survive such a thing without having these horrible images seep into your brain. If you could, then you haven't have a soul.
"We have some experience in killing these Foul creatures Sir!" The nobleman said that as if it hit his ego. " Claira looked at him in disgust. Grabbing Orcleous's hand, she held it tightly to show that she was fighting the urge to hit the noble where it would hurt the most. Picking up her sword, she sheathed it. The nobleman looked at her and commented, "Miss, don't give me an attitude. We came to help you out when you were in need of it. So show some respect Woman." Clenching her jaw, she turned away and somewhat limped away from the whole lot. Where she was walking was towards the front gate. She didn't want to hear it from the nobleman and she also didn't want to lose the escorts that was said they were going to be given.
The nobleman looked at Orcleous and said to him. "Sir, you need to keep her in line. I won't tolerate her behavior around me and my men. And I do Not deserve to be talked to by a low class citizen such as herself!"
Claira heard the remark and stopped in her tracks. She simply shook her heard and said, "A Typical Noble pig to talk down to us Sacaeians. I think I heard enough from you Knight. I will leave without your escort because of your rude out burst and single minded ways."

Orcleous gave off a long sigh as the maiden snapped at the man. Here he was thinking she was the voice of reason in there little duo and now she had shunned the knights escort and made things difficult. Still Orcleous partially shared her opinion. Nobles where not always reliable and he had meet a few dirt bags in the past among them. "It can't be helped", spoke Orcleous ignoring the nobleman's words and hopping onto the horse. "You are going to need the soldiers here anyway", spoke the Hero as he rode up next to Claira. "Enjoy cleaning up the leftovers", shouted Orcleous and he reached down to grab the maiden's hand. "Come on we can double mount", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the thief.
"Once we get back to the village I will buy you a drink and you can call me a idiot for getting us nearly killed. After that I can talk about you angering the local lord, and by dawn we will be on our marry way. Though I think I am going to need a new horse", spoke Orcleous. The hero felt his pocket book again. It was going to get much lighter soon. He was going to need to pick up a few more jobs to make up for his losses. However that horse was worth every gold coin. The only problem Orcleous had now was trying to find another one. Bernesse chargers are hard to come by in Lycia. Especially one with a black coat. Still that was a thought for another time.
"Well it looks like I am going to have to have a new sword forged", spoke Orcleous. It was in that moment he realized that he left his gladius behind in the pile of corpses. Well it probably belonged there. He could always get a new steel sword.

She heard the horse trotting up to her and Orcleous shouting to the nobleman. When she felt his hand, she quickly jumped up and made a groan as she placed one arm around his waist. As they were riding off, she would say to him. "A drink would be grand right about now. And I won't call you an Idiot, even though we almost died yes...but it was...fun. Going onto an adventure that didn't have Slavers chasing me down and trying to kill me is a good change up on things. You can call me a fool for belittling the local lord...eh, he deserved it." The sun was going down and the only thing she really cared about was right here with her. He was the closest person to a friend she has ever had. As the darkness consumed the area, they heard more screaming coming back from the village. But another thought came to her mind and she spoke it.
"Umm Orcleous...you might want to buy a new shirt as well..." When thinking about it, she started to laugh then groaned some more. "I really need to stop laughing, hurts the left arm in doing so." Feeling a bit tired from the fighting and running that she had done, she laid her head on his back and slowly closed her eyes. In her head she thought, "This feels nice...a bit bumpy from the horse...but still nice." When she finally woke up, they were riding into the nearby village and her body was still screaming at her in pain. When they reached the stables, a carrier came from the direction that they had just come from. "The local lord, has fallen in battle!" Claira looked at Orcleous and said. "Well, seems to me we don't have to worry about him now."

Great, thought Orcleous to himself as Claira pointed out the damage to his clothing. Orcleous was going to need a lot more than a new shirt. He just remembered that his armor got wrecked as well. So he was going to need new clothing, new armor, and a new horse. He sounded like a young knight who lost a dual, but did not have enough money to buy his stuff back. Armor was expensive. There was no way Orcleous could afford to buy a new set of plate and a new magical sword. The hero started to count of the finances in his head. After a while of riding Orcleous began to think on all that happen. It was a while ride, and to be honest he would not do it again. However he enjoyed hanging out with Claira, just not when he is being attacked by a army of undead. Well to be more specific he just did not want to be attacked by a army of undead.
As the duo returned to town Claira awoke. The maiden had enjoyed her nap it seemed. Orcleous wished he could enjoy the same pleasure, but somebody had to direct the horse. As the maiden spoke the hero dismounted. He was sure the beast was tired by now. Not only did it carry him and Claira, but it also had to take the weight of Xigshaw.
"That might not always be a good thing", spoke Orcleous. Though this problem had nothing to do with them. They where leaving. However it did make him wonder about the sake of the village. He preyed the knights would be rid of the rest of the undead and the land could be recovered. The more villages lost the more the monsters won. This very fact weighed heavily on Orcleous. Still that was a problem for another time. Right now Orcleous needed both food and rest.
"Give me a plate of roast duck", shouted the hero as he walked into the local Inn
