Worde. Overrun with monsters, Ito spent much of his time liberating villages from the dastardly creatures. He'd also slain many bandits, who were taking advantage of the seemingly leaderless people. Now inside of a small village, which had agreed to give Ito food and lodging in exchange for protection, Ito walked from the quaint home he was staying in to the outskirts of the small place.
Each careful step making an audible tap on the smooth cobblestones of the village path, Ito walked forward. He'd heard an Ilian knight was coming to the area, and he wanted to be there if they came. To this end, he would hopefully organize some sort of protection agreement with the knight and the villagers so he could move on to another community. His journey was far from over, and he still lacked the funds for some... insurance. Even Ito, the monster hunter, the bandit breaker, needed some protection of his own. He looked for this in a suit of armor he meant to commission, but lacked funds for. He never earned much gold, but it was adding up as he moved from settlement to settlement.
Spying something in the distance, he wondered what it was. As it came closer, he realised it was a lone bandit, much bigger than any of the previous day's raiding party, charging at full speed with a giant axe raised in the air. Sighing, Ito unsheathed his sword. Perhaps it would be just another day of fighting off a few bandits. Sprinting out to meet his new opponent, Ito yelled out; the amount of negative emotion in his voice would be unsettling to even the most seasoned individual. The bandit hesitated as Ito ran forward, and Ito took advantage, slicing upwards with a right-to-left diagonal slash. Cut right open, the dead bandit fell to the ground.
Ito sheathed his sword, then turned to head back when he saw something that he hoped to never see. Nearly two dozen bandits, armed with a mixture of swords and axes, and while Ito had slept they snuck in and took the villagers hostage. The bigger one in the adjacent field had been a distraction for Ito, and he'd played right into the bandits' trap. No way to get back in was possible... without death...
Ito didn't care. He would find a way. Unsheathing his sword once more, he would save the newly-captured hostages from the bandits. Even if he died, he would have to find a way to save them.

Argus had been walking near the village when the bandits had revealed themselves. Argus also saw the man cut a large bandit in twain, and was thusly impressed. That was why he was helping the village... How was another thing entirely. He was currently stood behind most of the bandits. And he thought of the best course of action at the moment... Charge.
He would help these people.... For a small fee of course. And then he'd see if he could get the swordsman on the hill to help him train some of the villagers to help keep them safe without him being here.
He started running at them as fast as he could, lance raised to pierce their chests and kill them instantly if it hit. One was speared straight through the chest, the rest hear the screams and turned to face him. Argus ripped the spear out of the bandit and readied himself to fight. Getting into a firm stance so as to keep an eye on all the bandits that turned to face him. He heard the pleas for help from the hostages, but he would have to get rid of some of the bandits to get to them.

Split slept, he slept until he heard screams of the people outside, and some heavy, happy shouts of legions of people coming towards the village.
He got out from his bed, his rented, fluffy confy, Lycian bed, he quickly grabbed his lightinig tome from the brown wooden table near him, he cleaned the dust window with his tiny hand, then he looked through it.
What he saw was not that terrible, at least for him, what he saw was a 2 dozen of bandits, wielding mixture of stolen swords and stolen rusty axes from the Lycian lumberjacks, nothing suprising for him, at wester isles he saw a lot worse things, like ships full of pirates with high quality axes wielded in both of their stinking, ramsacking hands. His legs begin to tremble, looking around searching for things that he could barricade door with, he knew what was the feeling of being ramsacked, beaten by bunch of bandits.
"Oh no, no, no, not again... it can't be... I'VE TRAVELLED the whole world for the knowlenge and searching for purpose, AND NOW?! I should stay in Etruria... yes, good old Etruria, Etruria was really safe, no bandits, no problems, I could wander at nights without a fear that somebody can put a knife on my throat. I thought that I'll never see a pack of bandits again..." He said his thought out loudly.
The he began to search for the stuff to barricade his rented room with... but in this wooden room with walls filled with banners there were no things that he could barricade the door with! His bed was too heavy for him to pull and block the door with, he began to be desperate, as his skin began to cover itself with sweat.
He opened window, he slowly lifted his hand in the air and feeling the energy of will flowing in it, he grabbed his lightinig tome tightly, in his free left hand. Burst of light flew in to the air, showing his good "hiding" spot to everyone in nearby locations, the few another lights of his flew in to the air in a moment after the first one. Then he saw something that western isles bandits never did unless they were paid, a torch in one of the brigands hand, ready to burn the village.
"Oh no..." He mumbled.
He put the hand down at the street flowing with escaping people and brigands, will energy flew in his hand again, he was sure about what he will do now.
The inaccurate light bullet escaped from his hand, going towards the streets down below.

Ito, facing the bandits with his sword drawn, prepared himself to meet with them in combat. Suddenly, however, there was a loud scream. Only death could've brought such a noise, he thought to himself as he saw what the bandits were all turning around to see. I see today, their death comes in the form of an Ilian knight. The knight's lance was ripped from its target, a sword-wielding ruffian who had been made nicely into a pincushion. Using the knight's surprise, Ito ran forward at top speed, his left hand reaching out. Grabbing one bandit by his axe-holding arm, Ito spun and threw him into another, then followed them as they tumbled to the ground in a heap, shoving the tip of his sword into the center of each of their chests. He pulled his blade from the now lifeless bodies, then saw from the window what looked like a young boy. He looked around. Several bandits were approaching houses with torches in hand. Ito called out to the knight and said, "you there! Focus on the men with torches!"
As he spoke, several bandits approached, wielding both swords and axes. One of them attacked Ito, whose own blade was raised horizontally to block to bandit's vertical slash. Ito shoved him off, then slashed across the bandit's front, dropping another body to the ground and increasing his count by one. Another bandit swung his axe, and Ito deflected the blade, following up with an uppercut-style swing that dismembered the bandit's arm. Ito stabbed the bandit again, putting him out of his misery.
Almost there... I hope the knight heard me... With him around this will be very doable. What was that light flash?

Argus had indeed heard the man ask him to go after the bandits with the torches, they were obviously trying to burn down the village, so he focused upon them. He pushed some of the other bandits out of the way, running full speed at the one closest to the villages. He thrust his spear out and quickly retracted it, stabbing into the bandit's arm and forcibg him to drop the torch. Argus stamped the fire out and ran to the next one, stabbing her in the arm and putting out the torch, he then followed through by flourishing his weapon and shouting "I HAVE MY ORDERS! AND I'LL SEE THEM FULLFILLED!" Before impaling her through her stomach, and then kicking her off the blade and leaving her to bleed to death, covering his weapon arm in a few splats of blood before shouting. "WHO'S NEXT EH?! COME GET ME!" Then a flash of light went off, and a bolt of magic slayed the bandit he had wounded, but not killed.
"GOOD JOB WHOEVER YOU ARE WITH THE MAGIC! KEEP IT UP AND WE'LL SEND 'EM PACKING!" He shouted, readying himself for the inevitable tide of barbarians that would be running at him, no doubt to take his head as a trophy. But he would hold firm, like a wall of steel and flesh, RENDING, STABBING, AND IMPALING ANY BANDITS HE COULD BEFORE HE FELL. Of course he really just hoped to hold out until the swordsman got there to help him. But it was close enough. So there he stood, legs in a combat stance, lance held close to him, and eyes sharp and ready to catch any who would ham the villagers.

Redg shoot and shoot at the streets below, as the sun was going down, the night was coming soon, and he knew that being in a village that is crumbling under the weigh of brigands and axes, was not good thing, especially knowing what was the current situation of Lycia.
The shrieks of scared peasants were heard down below, and the cracks of windows, bandits were breaking in to the houses, shops, vendors, and armories, to collect many valuable items that they could use to assist themselves in ramsacking other villages for the money, infamy amongst the Lycia, and fame in environment of the brigand packs of the elibe.
Split then felt a "sting" and then a big pulsating in his hand, then world started to be fuzzy, he tripped over a protuding plank almost falling out of the window, when he feel on the wooden brown floor a loud thud was heareable.
Redg felt world spinning around him, the sound around him was muffled like, when he was underwater, he couldn't get up from the floor.
"Oh no... I... I... used too much... magic... I need... to escape..." He mumbled staring at the dark celling, he treid to stand up, but he failed a few times before finally succeding.
"I... I... I could have killed myself... Oh God... I need to find a way to escape from this accursed village onslaught by bandits... and most of all... to find a way to way to escape from this damn Lycia!" He said trying to climb on windowsill.
When climbed on windowsill, he peeked through the window.
He saw a litte group of bandits walking up from the forest, they came closer, near the gates of the village, he could look closer, more clearly.
He realized that it was fighter, with rusty iron axe in his hand, bag of vulneraries, then he said.
"We shall leave nothing for these pesky monsters! BWAHAHA!!! No one can stand against my strenght, CHARGE!!!" The brigand commander commanded, his pack, which was full of typical brigands with steel axes and myrmidons with steel blades.
"Oh my God, Oh my God..." He mumbled scared. He looked through the window at the wounded myrmidown and knight.
"PEOPLE LEAVE!!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE IF WE STAY!!!" Split shout desperatly.
"I need to run... I need to... I need to..." He his grabbed the book weakly, and then he ran out from his room, seeking the way to safely escape this village, looking around, searching for the exit.

Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid! Ito couldn't believe it. While he'd been slicing and stabbing the weaker looking bandits to death, several had come up behind him unnoticed. He turned, albeit too late to effectively deflect another attack, instead knocking away only slightly one of the bandits' blades. The bandit's rough sword slid to the side, tearing through Ito's sleeve and biting into his arm. Ito kicked off the bandit, but another attacked, again hitting Ito; this time, although the hit wasn't powerful enough to break bone, blood began to seep through Ito's right shoulder.
This shouldn't be happening. His thoughts grew frantic as his defense against one of the bandits came in a similar manner. I'm stronger than this. Ito barely ducked as a sword swung past, the tip barely scraping along his cheek and opening another wound. At least... I thought I was... Ito was shoved from behind, then kicked a couple times after he fell to the ground. What... have I done? Thoughts, terrors, memories, filled his mind as despair filled his view. Gone limp, he was left alone as one of the bandits began lighting and passing out torches for those evil men who weren't holding hostages inside the formerly quiet homes.
Ito, resting in a small pool of blood and presumed dead by any observer, could only watch with blank expression as the intruders set fire to the buildings. The people inside... Ito had failed them. They trusted him, just like so many others had, and he'd let them down. Thoughts of his late wife came to mind, and tears came to Ito's eyes as the same feelings of worthlessness, helplessness, and hopelessness came back to him. This village won't be here to save if I ever came back... The fire danced high into the night, and Ito, in his despair, dragged himself away. His instinct, however selfish it may seem to others, was the only thing carrying him to survival now. He didn't think of the Ilian knight, the magic-casting boy in the building... No one. Ito couldn't think. His despair had resurfaced, taking control of him once again as he felt its cold embrace. The woods, instinct told him, The woods are where you go to get away. So, that's where he went. Surprisingly unnoticed, dangerously near death. Help had come from the woods before, and instinct -his only salvation- took him there.
[OOC: Hey guys, it was great threading with you! I'm so, so very sorry I set you up to fail here, it wasn't my intention and I overstepped Ito's limits, as well as all of yours. As of this post, Ito has left the thread, so you both may continue posting as long as you like, but I'm out. Peace!]

Argus saw the Myrmidon fall. He would cry over the death of a good person later, for now he would focus on distracting the bandits so the child could flee. "RUN BOY'O! RUN FOR THE HILLS!" He shouted, banging his lance on his shield before setting it back into his armor so as to cover as much of his body a he could.
The bandits gave up on the boy, instead focusing on the more valuable looking target, Argus. If they couldn't use 'im for ransom, then they'd kill him. And use his armor themselves. The swordsmen went around behind him, whilst the axemen charged him from the front, surrounding him. Striking the joints of his armor, causing him to scream in pain.
Blood covered his armor in most places, some the vile blood of the ruffians. Some his own blood from the wounds. The furs that stuck out from the joints in his armor were turned red from his own blood.
He turned to face the swordsmen, pushing them away, and moving away as fast as he could. Stabbing at them when he could, wethering the storm of blades as best he could. "MEET UP WITH ME LATER! OKAY BOY'O?!"
Retreating from the village as fast as he could, losing the bandits in the hills, but keeping within the boy's view. Hoping against hope that the boy would notice the direction he left in and would meet up with him, maybe he could helphim with whatever he was in hithis village for.

"WE'LL SEE MY FRIEND!!!" He shout, running through hallways of the burning inn, there was no way staying in this city any longer, any one who was here, escaped or died by a hand of brigands, maybe Split could snuggle something out of the village? Maybe, because bandits woulnd't let him too, neither he wanted to steal, it was too late, the only think he thought about now was a quicky and safe escape.
The building began to fill with grey smoke, visibilty began to be limited, light was provided by the fire outside and inside the building, he began to feel weaker, due to lack of oxygen in the building, the world begin to spin around him. the beautyfull brown wood, changed his colors to dark and white, a day that was one of his best days in his life, tunred in to pure hell as brigands attacked, Illian knight that he may never meet again brave and enthusastic, with spark of pure joy im his eyes, could be never meet, a myrmidon that fought forcefully, dropped dead on battlefield, may never to be seen by anybody in this scattered by multiple wars world.
He collapsed on the ground, he couldn't breathe smoke no more, due world seen by his eyes was fuzzy, amd worse, it was getting darker.
"I cannot... not now... I have to be something more... If I won't fight... it'll be like... buried alive..." He stand up, maybe the power of will helped him? Maybe because he was mage? But he was sure of one thing, he didn't want to meet abyss just now.
He saw a window, glassles cracked window, near the fence of the village, he could escape, he heard the sound of collapsed building, he was only at 1st floor, he didn't thought much, he jumped out of the window, facing the ground with his back, he felt like he was falling in the endless pit.
When he fell, Split felt much pain on his back, He stared at the stars in the sky, he escaped, he felt happy, yet sad, the thought of many lost lives that he could save was terryfying.
He stand up, he began to cough much, grasping clean air, walking towards the forst on the hill.
"I... did... it..." He mumbled, with the smile on his face.
