"What", spoke Wei in horror as he stared up at the beast. His opponent was saying something, but Wei was not paying attention. His eyes was on the Wyvern. It was completely terrifying, but at the same time awe inspiring. Wei had never seen such a creature, nor had he ever dreamed of it. As the creature snapped at him Wei fell to the ground. His eyes still fixed on the beast. Fear crippled his limbs and Wei remained where he was for most of the riders speech. The rider eventually got control of his mount, but he had lost the match. Wei however stared on dumbfounded. He finally regained the ability to stand once the other man had walked over to him. Brushing the dirt off himself Wei looked around in disbelief, he had won. He knew it was impossible, but somehow he had won.
"My name is Wei", he spoke and the man had declared it to the crowd. The cheers of the people had rained down upon him, but Wei felt nothing for it. Everything was empty. Here he was graveling on the ground before that monster and the man he so call defeated could tame it so easily. Yet he was the victor. Why? Why was he the winner? Why could that man not bring his beast into the ring? other arenas allowed it and fighters still fought. So why was he the victor? The win tasted bitter almost like his own blood. As the boy exited the arena he was meet by a healer. With the work of a staff all his wounds were closed up and his body mended. However Wei did not feel any different. He had a bag of gold for his efforts. Most placed there bets on the other guy, Wei had bet on himself. As a result Wei had made bank off the fight, but even with all of his winnings Wei felt empty.
"I need to go train", spoke Wei as he walked to the local bank. Wei was no fool. he knew carrying around that much money would only get him in trouble. After depositing in the bank he paid them a fee to have it transported to the local bank in his home town. He then headed out to the hills around the city. He needed some time to practice. Some time to prepare himself. He was going to find that guy again and fight him. This time no rules and no handicaps. He needed to not only fight him, but his beast as well.
