Weavile is deadly. With extremely high speed and very good attack, one swords dance and one Night Slash most likely would have taken Ludicolo down in one hit. I'm working on another team right now. We should have a friendly battle some time, Ken. At lvl 50 on my old one, maybe. Like I said that person 99% doesn't even know what EV training is. My old one was EVed to take a hit, I only did about 200 in def. My new one has 252 in def, 252 hp, and 6 in sp atk. He also has decent IV IIRC. But she's(ludicolo) is just a fun battle, not apart of my tanks/sweapers. Speaking of needing legendarys I can hax you some and trade them, and no I don't hax my team I just battle till I've got the EV then use AR to get rare candy and fatten them up to 100.

Hax huh? Um...I shouldn't be doing this, but fine. If you are willing to get me some legendaries, then I'll gladly do that.

That's still taking a short-cut, even if it's a minor one. I never use codes. Or only do so after beating the game a gazillion times(like, for example, leveling Soma to 99 to try out his damage after having beaten Castlevania Aria of Sorrow like 7 times).
But whatever. You seem to take it all as if I were trying to cut you with a knife.

If I'm having a bad day, I'll kick in God-mode and have myself a ball. But I'm too lazy to level my team up to level 100. They are only at level 70-80 now.

What I've noticed about pokemon is, on the first two versions, your three pokemon to pick are like choosing a mode. Squirtle, having an advantage over almost all of the gym leaders, is easy. Bulbasaur, who also does however doesn't actualy get a decent grass type attack untill later, is medium. And Charmander, who really only has an advantage over Grass, is hard.
In the next series, its messed with. Cyndiquil is easy, as most of the primary eight gym leaders are weak against fire, Totodile is medium, not having much of an advantage but not much disadvantage either...And Chikorita is Hard, the first gym leader constantly whoopin' his sorry butt.

Preferably, choosing a grass type for your starter is easiest of the three since they learn techniques such as Absorb, Mega and Giga Drain that can absorb energy from foe and transfer it to them. Oh and the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald versions lets you choose Treeko, Torchic, and or Mudkip. Treeko would be the best choice in my opinion, although that you would have to delay the pokemons evolutions until it learns Giga Drain or unless that you are willing to use the TM that is if you don't want a weaker Sceptile.

Perhaps, but like I said, it takes longer for Bulbasaur to learn vine whip, while Squirtle, off the bat, learns Bubble, wich makes it easier to get past the much hated first gym leader with the ungodly defence, Brock.
By the way...you spelled squire wrong. >>

Err...neither is, really. Unless you actually don't plan on using any other Pokemon.
Get a Caterpie and make him a Butterfree for an easy Brock, a Pikachu for an easy Misty, a Diglett/Geodude(or however it's spelled) for an easy Lt. and so on.
Also, Charmander gets Metal Claw at level 13 in the newer games. That completely owns Brock. Ember can do it on it's own too, though.

Mudkip is the one to go with on R/S/E. Swampert has so many options it's freaking awsome. A Cursepert(well that's a breeding till you get curse on mud), A special sweeper, a phsyical sweeper, a mixed sweeper, a wall, and more.
