Chelsea turned to Rayl. "Sir Rayl? Would you be able to lead Spirit along so I could ride with Karina for a little bit? I've always wanted to ride a pegasus." To cap it off, she gave Rayl her cute face. Luckily, she had had years of practice with that face, using it countless times on her brother and father and always it was met with success. While she rarely relied on her feminine charm, but everyone once and a while she wasn't afraid to utilize it. "Pleeease?"

It was early in the morning when she was up, and had decided to take a morning flight of her own. The people were gathering outside down below, so she decided to dive down, and tread the ground with them, her wings tucking back and scales reflecting duly with the light of the morning's sun. She looked at the serving people. and eyed them wearily, much like they would her. She was tired of hiding herself as she was.
As she stood there tall, and proud, she quickly transformed back into her human appearance, but flew under her own support with her large wings feet about a foot off the ground as those powerful wings flapped constantly to keep her afloat.
"It is indeed a good morning to fly."
She smiled at Karina, almost humbly, while lifting a hand to push strands of fallen hair out from infront of her eyes. Humming softly, she touched ground and dusted herself off, and smoothed her clothes, a small traveling pack on her back, and the Manakete quickly peaked around inside a pouch to her side, and produced a small cookie she had gotten in town the other day, and munched on it.

Karina smiled back at Saffra and said, "it must be so thrilling to have wings on your back. You don't need a steed or anything to fly. Though i do love Sascha, it would be wonderful be able to fly whenever i wanted, and to have a pair of such lovely wings as yours."
She looked up at the sky and watched the clouds dance on the updrafts. Sometimes, when they were up high enough, Karina would jump off of Sascha's back. She would spread her legs and arms out and free-fall for a few hundred feet. Then, like a perfect pair, Sascha would appear under her at just the right angle. this was a perfect day to do that. maybe after Chelsae had gotten her fill of flight.

Rayl laughed as Chelsea tried to sway his opinion with such an adorable face," You needn't do that to me Chelsea, nor do I really need to lead Spirit. I trained her the same way I raised Elibe here. She will not wander off." nevertheless he made some clicking sounds just to prove a point the the Sacaen Mare, before listening to the trio talk about flight...uggh...he had only tried to fly once on Fang's back (who was flying around above them for awhile before returning to the barn roof as it knew it wouldn't be coming). It was on the request of The Marquess in hopes of having more aerial fighters, and with Rayl's skill he was sure it wouldn't be too bad...
...Rayl was off duty for a week after he fell off. He wouldn't willingly fly or be teleported anywhere ever again. As the company was ready to take off, he looked around to check everyone before he would lose track of the numbers once the rest of his men would join them...
...Did Gabriel get up this morning?

Saffra gave a blush towards Karina as she was praised, and even complemented, on her beautiful wings. She was glad that someone else thought them so, instead of regarding her to wild stories told of the Scouring, about how dragons would snatch up naughty children, and so forth. Those, to Saffra, were the worst stories. She nodded and pulled on her wings, pulling them around her like a piece of clothing.
She kept her eyes rested on Karina for a moment, regarding her with gentle eyes, and giggled, then looked to Chelsea and nodded towards her.
"Go on now, child, it's marvelous to fly.."
She nodded a little and then rocked on her toes, and then the heels of her boots back and forth, noticing someone was missing from the group. Her wings flexed impatiently, noticing that Gabriel was missing from the group. Her eyes searched all she could see, and guessed he was still trying to get ready.

Karina grabbed Chelsea's hand and said, "Come on, let's go! We can circle above Rayl and Saffra while we wait for everyone else to awaken!" she laughed and ran towards the stables.
When they arrived, Karina sped off to Sascha's side, Chelsea in tow, and patted the pegasus. "This is my friend Chelsea, girl. She's a great person, and would like to ride with us today! Can she?" Karina held Chelsea's hand out to Sascha, who sniffed it for a few seconds before rubbing her snout against it. "She likes you." Karina said to Chelsea.
"Now all you do is throw your leg over her side like this," Karina got on Sascha and held her hand down to Chelsea. "You'll have to wrap your arms around me, and then we can take to the sky like a bird in spring!"

Chelsea grabbed her hand and pulled herself up onto Sascha. She felt right as home, at least for now. Pegasi are basically horses, at least while they're still on the ground. She knew that would change quickly, though, so she did as told and wrapped her arms around Karina. "Ready!" She braced herself for the inevitable feeling of being airborne, and hoping it was a good experience instead of a bad one.

Aren didn't sleep and when he sleeps it wasn't much. He was walking around as he let his horse sleep. It was morning as he looked how the sun came up as he headed back to the ranch. He looked to Chelsea and Karina as they went up in the air or atleast he thought they would. He never did really had contact with the rest. He was most apart of the group as they never did get to know him. He sat down against the ranch as he waited for what Ryal would do.

OOC: Just so I can get Aren into the thread more.
IC: "Ah! Good morning my friend. Did you sleep well?" He addressed the plainsman as he made a waving gesture," Lady Saffra, you have not met Sir Aren, have you not? He appeared at the ranch a day befpre the rest of you...actually, come to think of it I'm not sure any of you have met him before..." he paused here, scratched his chin, before continuing," Nonetheless he is a good man...Sir Aren, I am sure you got the message from the marquess concerning dragons."

Saffra seemed a little placid as she watched Karina and Chelsea for a moment longer, and grinned at the two of them. Her hands rested on the staff she kept in her hands, and leaned upon the powerless object.
"You two can fly around for a bit while we travel on our way too, of course."
She got side tracked s she heard Rayl address someone, and turned her head to look at the nomad, narrowing her eyes a bit as the mature dragon looked at the man.
"Is that so?"
She watched Aren a moment and gave a curt bow to him, her wings sweeping low as if to follow the motion of her grace, once he had arrived a bit closer.
"Pleasure to meet you, sir."

Gabriel had woken up earlier that morning. Probably far earlier. It was the same as before. Thousands upon thousands of men, fighting ahead of him. He recognized the clothing he was wearing this time. He had seen it before. The colors were those of Pherae's army, and yet, the outfit looked not alike any of those mages in the army wore. He felt as if a horse had stomped on his stomach. He looked down. A lance had skewered him.
It was that dream again, and just as vivid as before. He got up from his bed and took a quick shower. The sun was just rising. He went around the house, but everyone seemed to be asleep. He knew he wouldn't be able to go to sleep again, and it wouldn't make any sense now, so he headed to Rayl's training grounds. Rayl's dog, Dakota, seemed like an early riser as well. Not long after Gabriel had started his fire show, the dog came up from the general direction of the barn, barking. Dakota stopped once he sniffed and recognized Gabriel, though. No reason to be alarmed.
Roughly about an hour later, a lot of people started gathering at the estate. Probably the caretakers of the animals. The training grounds were not as close to the ranch as one would hope they'd be. It was a while after he felt a strong rumble that he decided to go back to the ranch. After looking around for a bit, he could only guess that the rumble had been Saffra landing in dragon form, or Rayl's wyvern landing on the barn's roof, as always.
Gabriel got closer to the group only waving and saying "Good morning, all", as he skipped everyone and went back to his room. He took a quick shower and joined the group again a few minutes late. Saffra, Rayl and another man were talking not far away from the ranch, while Karina and Chelsea were hanging around Karina's pegasus. He got closer to Saffra and Rayl and introduced himself before the other man, waiting for the man to introduce himself as well.
OoC: Not nice to go around all sweaty. And...long post, I know. I tend to do that.

As Gabriel finally arrived, he gave a nod to him, before raising a hand to indicate Aden," Again, I'm sorry I was not able to introduce you all to him earlier. Sir Gabriel: meet Sir Aden, rider of Sacae." with this he took a quick count of everyone. Aden, Saffra, and Gabriel were with him...Karina and Chelsea were with her pegasus...yep, that was everyone! "Alright everyone, we make our way to Castle Pherae, and then meet the rest of my men. Let's move out!" and with this, he began their little prelude trip before they would head out into the world again...to be honest, Rayl had never traveled with such a large group before since...well... ...since then...as he rode ahead of everyone, as if not paying attention anymore, both horse and rider seemed to be lost in thought, recalling that moment, five years ago... FLASHBACK: He had been fighting at the Etruria's Docks along with his friend Richter, Fellow Pheraen Knight Alexia, and their leader Matis...next thing they knew Archsage Athos had teleported them all the way across the continent to Bern (although Richter had been in the boat at the time)...The fact that Athos was alive had been snuffed out by the fact they were warped somewhere else! There they met sir Kenshin and his men, a fairly large group...there they fought Hargus...and it was his blow that felled the man... FLASHBACK END ...was it because of that single moment that things happened the way they did? Barigan...once again he was right...Rayl had riding down memory lane that once he snapped back to, he had found himself in town, with all his men (that's a lot of Horses) all lined up atop their horses, crowds gathering at the sides of the streets to watch and wave their loved ones on, albeit puzzled as to why they were sending out a large number of troops on a peace mission, but that was HARDLY relevant...

OoC: Aren. The name's Aren.
"A pleasure to meet you" Gabriel managed to say, before Rayl interrupted, well, nearly everything that was going, ordering everyone to head to the castle. The walk to town took around ten, twenty minutes, and they were soon at the castle doors. A few minutes later, they were at the town's plaza, along with all of Rayl's army, with nearly half of the town and the Marquess ready to see the group off.
"Sir Rayl, knights of the 3rd Division, make us proud and bring all of the Lycian nations together to fight off the Etrurian prophet! Help us protect our lands and bring peace to all of Elibe once more!"
All the civilians cheered. The knights held up their weapons and shouted in unison, as if showing their courage and determination. Gabriel decided to simply stand there with arms crossed during the entire "ceremony".
Could all of Lycia really join forces? It didn't even happen during the fight against the bandits five years ago. Caelin and Laus had remained mostly neutral, only claiming alliance at the end of the conflict, as if to seize some glory, and Ostia had been demolished, just as happened recently. Only Santaruz and Pherae had taken part of the fight five years ago. Could they make a difference this time?

The trip that took Saffra with Rayl and his other companions, her companions as well, wasn't as long, but the grouping of soldiers was a little unsettling, especially on a delegation of peace. Her wings fully visible, well trained men breaking off from a stand ready stance, and taking a view in on her. She even felt a few people touch at her wings, whispering to their comrades next to them. it didn't bother Saffra in the least, it was a curiosity, and she would have been the same way in their shoes.
She had stopped a few times, to watch these men and women, young and old say goodbye to loved ones, and parents alike, it was heartwarming, but sad...this looked like a rally to war...like they were getting their final goodbyes, and that caused Saffra's heart to sink, she didn't have anyone like that, save for her parents, who lived a life of exclusion.
Shaking her head, a young child came up to her and brought her a flower. She didn't know who's child it was, but she took it, and brushed the girls hair with her hand, smiling, and saying a soft 'thank you' to the girl, before resuming her walk.
She had stopped to hear the Marquess' address, and understood. She didn't know this was a marching order, she had understood it as a peace run...and in a way, it was, but the forces taken to do this would probably bolster inspiration at the same time.
The cheer took her, but she remained quiet, unsure of herself. Her eyes went to Gabriel, and smirked at the young noble, he seemed calm and composed, a trait of mages it would seem, she could respect that.

Chelsea was walking with the rest of the group, her legs a little shaky from her ride with Karina. She enjoyed flying but resolved she wouldn't be doing it anytime soon. She walked with Karina at her side, trying to smile at all the people as they passed. Every once and a while a person in the crowd would throw her a dirty look or obscene gesture, but they didn't say anything out of fear of retribution from Rayl or Saffra.
She noticed some people saying goodbye to loved ones. She heart dropped a bit as her thoughts went back to her own family. How happy she would be if Nathan were here beside her. How proud her mother and father would be, watching their children go off to defend everyone. She head dropped sadly and her eyes started to well up. She missed them.
