"Information." Chelsea said to Karina. "About my father." She didn't go into anymore detail about it and she hoped Karina wouldn't ask. Her thoughts started to wander to her father but she shook her head. She needed to stay focused. She took a deep breath and gave a smile. "What are you looking for?" She gave a little giggle. "Or did you just wanna keep little old me company?"

Saffra's eyes caught some of the peoples, and really, she tried to hide herself somewhat, but she did have to be shown, so the people would understand full well. she liked the idea of being accepted, but really, it would be some time before there was full understanding and welcome displayed towards her. None here genuinely trusted the Marquess. Those that seemed to, were trusting of Rayl's judgment, not that they believed that she was a peaceful being.
When Elibe stopped, and Rayl dismounted, she took his hand and hopped down. The clock of her boots on the stone sounded as she fell, but it was a light sound, because with her wings out, it actually slowed her fall somewhat. her eyes searched the people. Few made eye contact, and those that did, looked away almost as quickly as they had looked at her. Frowning, she proceeded to follow.
"If they're this nervous of me as is, heaven forbid them seeing me as a dragon. Some of these elderly people would have their heart stop, I would think.."

Karina looked around the village. There wasn't really much there. A few shops, but it was mostly a village full of houses. She wondered what happened to Chelsea's father, but felt that she shouldn't pry. She answered Chelsea's question with "all of my life, I've either been fighting the elements for my life or being coached and told what to do. I guess you could call my quest one of soul searching. I want to see things, I want to know what life is about. But even more than that... I want to make friends and meet people..."

"Indeed, but don't worry, they'll soon get used to the thought of a dragon amongst them, and I'm sure your being around a respected member of the community should help to quicken things." Almost as if to make the people wonder, he put an arm around Saffra's shoulders, and you could hear some people wondering. One such person said just a tad too loud: "Dragon and Man together? That's just disgusting!" some people hide smirks, some of Rayl's more loyal fans gave the man a dark look, before going back to their business once the two entered the restaurant. The owner looked up with a smile, which soon paled when he saw the winged woman, having not gotten the memo, but he soon went back to smiling: Rayl was known for bringing such things about, " Ah hello Monsieur Rayl! Your usual table I presume?" he waved a hand towards a small table in the corner of the restaurant, but the knight shook his head," No thank you. As you can see I am with a friend." cautiously the owner led the pair to a table, guests staring at the woman with wings with a mix of awe from children and young girls, or horror from older people. One man actually got up and drew his sword, and would have swung it if it hadn't been from a glance from Rayl which just seemed to say, 'try it and you won't be having children any time soon', as he rested his lance against the side of the table, and pulled a chair out for Saffra," You may wish to...You know, withdraw your wings while sitting." this was not meant to relieve the people around them, but he wasn't sure if sitting while winged would be really possible. OOC: Lol restraunt man is french.

Saffra was a little shocked when Rayl put his arm around her. Her eyes went directly up at him, unsure what he was getting towards, but she stayed silent, but watched him a little closely. She almost immediately forgot about this 'advance' as soon as she saw the children, to which her eyes widened a bit and smiled back at them, offering a small wave of her hand, but saw the parents become protective over them. Shrugging her shoulders, she looked at the host, and winced at his strange accent, not thinking she had heard this kind of speak before.
"Ah, okay.."
She responded softly to Rayl, and dismissed her wings almost instantly, as she then went to sit down at the table, feeling a bit weird, not having gone to a restaurant for some many years nows. Shifting in position, and trying not to let the surroundings bother her too much. She let Rayl push the chair in and sat with her hands on the table, putting the staff up next to Rayl's lance beforehand.
"So umm...what exactly do you serve here, Sir Host?"

OOC: Rayl made a move on Saffra? I DOES NOT APPROVE OF YOUR ACCUSATIONS! D:
IC: A nervous young man handed them menus before dashing off for fear of fainting while Rayl began scanning the paper while people began scanning the two of them trying to figure out what was going on between Their Idol and the Beast.
(OOC: lolz reference.)
IC: Rayl raised a hand and ordered a bottle of fine wine. Wine was a ceremonious thing for him when he set out on a long journey, followed by praying at the church the next day. When it came accompanied by two glasses, he began poured some of the bottle's contents into the glasses before giving one to Saffra, though did not take a sip of his own. He'd wait for the waiter to come back and get their orders.

Chelsea gave Karina another little smile. "Friends, huh? I think I can help with that." She had never really had a friend either, her family excluded. Sure, she had played with some of the other Sacean kids when their fathers met, but never anything beyond that. She would like to have a real friend for once.
"As for seeing things, I'm sure if we travel with Rayl, sorry Sir Rayl, we'll be able to see all kinds of things. If he lets us go with him, of course." She hoped he would. Rayl had been so nice to her and she was actually getting places. And she liked the rest of the group too. It felt... right.

In an interesting way, the people who feared her were somewhat amusing. She grinned at the young boy who brought over the menu, taking it from him as he scooted off, which granted a mall snicker from her end. This balding man was watching her with a scornful look, to which she fixed a stare, and leaned to the side, and quite coyly, she blew a puff of smoke at him, and grinned, not bothering to see his reaction as she turned towards the wine as it was presented to her.
Grabbing the glass by the thin neck, she watched Rayl in silence, curious as to why he was not drinking. not thinking much else of it, she rose the glass to her lips, and drank the liquid slowly, a small sip, leaving most of the contents in the glass. She wasn't much of a drinker, after all.
"Not going to drink your wine, Sir Rayl?"
Her head tilted and slowly, entwined a finger through her long hair, and sat back, feeling quite comfortable in the chair without her wings.

Rayl smiled casually," Well you see, in human society, we usually toast the meal when it comes before we drink...that and I'm not much of a drinker nowadays as I told you, it's usually something I do before a long trip." in a matter-of-factly way of stating it, he went back to looking at the menu, as the waiter came back, and was barely able to get out a 'how can I help you' with which Rayl responded with,"The usual." handing his menu to the waiter, who slowly turned to face Saffra, not daring to make eye contact in fear she would get angry and burn him to a crisp. Meanwhile he looked to his right to see some woman staring at Saffra with a jealous look in her eyes for some reason, before noticing Rayl watching her, who quickly adverted her eyes.
This was something that happened quite frequently actually. He knew women saw him as a strong, good looking man, and he noticed that jealous look whenever he treated Lady Lucy and the rest of his knights to lunch, but...he wasn't going to date. Ever...Persephone would forever remain burned in his heart, and he knew it.
"Hey Captain!" came a shout, as some of Rayl's other knights waved to him from another table. One of them was staring at his meal with approval...that was Sir Loin, the chef of his company. Next to him being Sir Hup enjoying his pancakes. He was rather picky about food so this was a good sight,"So who's the lucky, uh, dragon...?"
Uggh...now he'd have to deal with this too," This, Sir Chandestroy, is your newest comrade: Lady Saffra, she's a good friend of mine." he eyed the big knight, who shrugged and looked over to one of his buddies, abck in conversation with them," Hey Sir Vey, remember that time you was on Patrol with Sir Kul, and you got lost int he woods and went in circles for hours?!"
OOC: Sorry I had to log on to Dragonfable and hijack some more puntastic names...last time I swear!

Saffra paused for a moment and looked to her drink, and touched her lips, feeling a bit ashamed that she just ruined this tradition. Grumbling, she fidgeted and rested the glass down on the table.
"Sorry about that, I didn't know."
It was only until then the waiter came, and took the order from Rayl, and then it was her turn, but the man refused to acknowledge her. Still, she was hungry, and she wasn't going to let some man acting like a spooked child get in the way of a good meal.
"I'll umm...have this."
She pointed to the 4th listing on the menu, not really knowing what it was, but she knew it was some sort of venison or steak. it was a bit cliche, and even she knew, that the dragon would order meat, but hey, it was more instinctual than anything.
The man walked off quickly, quicker than she would have liked, that is. Rolling her eyes, she looked away and saw the man at the other table gaining attention of Rayl, so she too, took notice, especially at the name 'dragon.' it was always Dragon dragon dragon, she didn't go around calling people 'You, human!' so it was kind of getting to her now.
"You have a lot of men under your command, it would seem.."
Saffra remarked plainly, rolling the wine around in it's glass, keeping eye contact with the group of men over at the other table.
"Sheesh...if I cause this much of an issue while in my human form...I'd hate to see how they would react if I was as a Dragon...much panic would ensue, I'd imagine."
She chuckled lightly, and closed her eyes, setting the glass back down on the table. She hummed lightly and sang quietly, but enough to be heard, but really, it wasn't a song.
"This is our Treaty written; thus is agreement made. Thought is the arrow of time; memory never fades. What was asked is given; with this, the price is paid."

"I am well trusted by our marquess." our in reference to her having joined his forces, as he listened to her hum with a smile on his face. Tt was even stranger when everyone got quiet and just seemed to listen to her for a moment, and remained quiet still until she finished, before going back to their business. after some time Their meals came. Rayl was given what seemed to be a very simple sandwich: Two slices of wheat bread, some shredded beef in the middle. He was then given a small cup filled with some sort of sauce," It's for dipping." was Rayl's explanation for Saffra, as he held out his wine glass before him, looking Saffra straight in her golden eyes, probably one of the few willing or capable of doing so in the restaurant:
"Cheers!"
several people also raised their glasses, while it was really meant to be a small toast between Rayl and Saffra:
"CHEERS!"

Saffra gave a complacent nod, not quite used to the term 'our' since she never really belonged to anything except her tribe of Manakete. She didn't really notice the place grow quiet when she finished her own private oath and pledge, something of old decent, much like Rayl's Knightly code that he followed, in a way. Smiling at the small dipping bowl Rayl got, as he explained it to her, and nodding, she then looked at her own plate. Venison with salad to the side. It wasn't very fancy for the name it had, but the sauce overtop of the meat was rich enough to cover for it's meager appearance, and that was her just smelling it from the plate.
Seeing Rayl raise the glass, she did too, mimicking his actions, and was nearly frightened when the room followed him in his toast. She eventually followed along, only a little when everyone had already said their piece.
"Cheers."
It was an interesting concept. Normally, she gave blessings to the mother earth and father sky when she ate with her family back at home. With Knife and fork, she casually cut the meat, and ate, and marked a note of satisfaction as she ate, truly loving the taste of her food.
"This is so good...I haven't eaten anything like this in...well...a really long time, lets say!"

"Well, we humans are known not just for violence you know." he gave a laugh here, and people in just seemed to look at him, still surprised as to how he was able to converse with such a monster with such ease as if he was speaking to any one of them. One could feel the tension in the air dying out slowly as Rayl tore off some of his sandwich, dipped it in the sauce, and put it into his mouth, enjoying the taste. It would be awhile before he would be enjoying such meals...no, that wasn't necessarily true, Sir loin WAS a pretty good chef, even when they were out on the road.
Watching Saffra enjoy the meal, he tore off another piece, and held it out to her, moving the sauce cup a bit closer to her," Would you like to try some? I'm sure you'll enjoy it."
OOC: I like how awkward this is for all the NPCs. ;P

OoC: yeah, really XD
Saffra could just chuckle. She had never really thought of humans as just violent. unlike those in here, she wasn't conceited enough to believe in the stereotype she heard. Hell, she lived amongst them for generations, and never had any sort of issue until a few months ago. Looking to the piece of the sandwich which has weld out towards her, she eyed it a little and then nodded, taking it from him slowly, not wanting to drip too much of the sauce.
Once she had it over her plate, she brought the food to her lips, and bit into it awkwardly, but quickly savored the taste the sauce brought to the piece of the sandwich. breathing a giant sigh of content when she was finished with the part of the sandwich given to her, she had to nod in agreement.
"Very good indeed, sir Rayl...compared to the last few months, this have been luxurious...because...well...I won't go into it here..."
She laughed a little more, eying the people oddly. She had meant what it was like to eat as a dragon, to hunt as one too. She had eaten raw meat quite a lot, but as a dragon,s he noticed that her tastes were rather dull compared to her human form.

OOC: Ok note to self, no more puntastic names...
Rayl raised a hand," Say no more Lady Saffra I understand completely." he could only guess what she was going to say and he'd rather not get queasy in the stomach as to how dragons hunted and feed when not in their human forms. With this, he continued to eat his lunch and people just continued to talk merrily, any remaining tension in the air at this point had died out. A child at nearby table waved to The Knight and Dragon, and their mother, with some regret let the boy continue for awhile, before calmly telling the kid to finish eating.
Having finished his wine and sandwich, he leaned back in his chair, pondering for a brief moment how in Elibe it managed to support the weight of his armor, while taking a close look at Saffra for he hadn't really done so before, it must have been an odd sight for the people around to see his gaze fixed on her that they couldn't help but also look; one man even going as far as winking at her. The waiter from before came out, no longer worried about getting turned extra crispy asking if that would be all and if they would like desert. Instead of answering he returned his gaze back to Saffra, no longer with that odd lost look in his eyes, waiting for her to give an answer.
