Yaen laid Wyatt down on the ground. He turned and looked in horror as the building came crumbling down. "Mikar!" he shouted, running back to the rubble. "Mikar! Mikar! Can you hear me in there!?" he shouted, trying to roll a large hunk of debris out of his way. This was great. He had two wounded boys and a seemingly missing Lucy. "Someone help!" he shouted. "Please, help! We have wounded children here!"

Harlow could see that the dragon's strength was waning. He knew that any second now, the entire building would collapse down upon them all. He knew he had to get out of there fast. But he didn't want to. He couldn't stand the idea that one of his friends would be buried here, possibly still alive, while he ran for his life like a coward without even trying to help. He remained there on the floor in a stupor as he watched the ceiling sag lower and lower. But he was snapped back into the moment when the dragon flicked its tail, knocking Gabriel out of the building. His instincts took over then. Without even realizing it, he had leapt to his feet and starting running for the door, giving one last look at the dragon before the falling rubble blocked it from his view. The last he saw of it, it had curled itself around the spot where Mikar had fallen. And then, nothing but rock and wood and a dust cloud remained where they had been.
Harlow stumbled crazily away from the building, tears welling up in his eyes, covering his ears with his hands to shut out the final death throes of the building as it came to rest in a giant, jumbled heap. When he finally came to a stop, falling down upon both of his knees, he found himself near the swordsman he didn't recognize, who was standing over the bodies of Gabriel and the redhead, who were strewn out upon the ground, probably unconscious. The swordsman was yelling for help, help for the wounded. Yes, somebody , hep! Somebody save the wounded, save the poor souls trapped inside the wreckage back there! Save the Pirate King, the one with the stories and the lopsided grin and the contagious laugh! Save the noble dragon who had sacrificed herself for the rest of them! And save the fools who had made it out alive to fight another day...
But even as Harlow wallowed in remorse, assuming the worst fate for all of his friends, he saw two figures approaching - two figures that appeared to be doctors, or healers of some sort. "Look!" He said to the swordsman. "Somebody is coming! Somebody is coming to help!" By now, a crowd of people had gathered around the school to see what was going on, brought by the deafening crash of the building's prolonged collapse. The healers were weaving their way through the crowd and were just now arriving at the spot where the four survivors were.
"Nurse!" the doctor spoke up, " Look to those two wounded there, see how bad their condition is and if we need to heal them here or if we can get them back to the clinic! And you two - are you all right?" He said, addressing Harlow and the myrmidon.

Kelvin held her tight, and comforted her. After he felt better physically, and Chelsea had settled down, Kelvin squeezed her a little, then said, "Come on, we should go help them out." He gingerly rose from the bed, then helped Chelsea up. He took her hand and they walked out of the clinic.

Chelsea walked out next to Kelvin. She was feeling better now. Well, at least good enough to walk. As they made their way back to the school, her eyes widened. She hadn't known the school had collapsed. She started forcing her way through the crowd, making sure her hand held tightly onto Kelvin's. Once they made their way through, she hurried over to where Gabriel and Wyatt laid. "We have to help them! They're hurt!"

His body barely moved, every footstep was sluggish and every breath was a sigh. His eyes barely paying attention to what was ahead of him, instead they just grazed the ground and remained transfixed on some unmoving point. Today was... a bad day. A really, really bad day. There was noises everywhere, and people had gathered in a crowd watching something. He honestly didn't care what it was, he didn't have the will to care right about now. Everything had turned to chaos. Everywhere there was dark chaotic lines. The fight, his friends, and even himself.
He lifted his head for a moment, probably about to feel sorry for himself some more, then he noticed just exactly it was he was ignoring. "What... what happened!?" He shouted confused, angry, and scared for the others in his group. He moved swiftly, his quick feet being one of the few physical talents he was proud of, and reached the ruined remains of what he was just in.
He saw the the doctor and nurse, but they ignored him to help people. Mages, soldiers, his friends. He didn't know what was going on, but he had to help. He rushed over to where the Myrmidon he met earlier was, and tried his best to help clear the rubble.
He heard Chelsea shout from behind him, but forget her, this was more important then feeling bad about his self over nothing.

OoC: Mind a little timeskip?
Barely an hour had passed. Gabriel woke up in a small room, lying on a bed. He could barely even move at all. He tried to look around the room. He found both of his tomes and his Vulnerary sitting on a table right next to him, and Wyatt's hammer resting against a wall. He had made it, after all. He saw his hands, still sore and red from the firmness with which he held himself onto the hammer back then.
His arms hurt to move, and his legs were barely better. Thankfully, the hammer was the first thing to touch the ground after Saffra hit him, making him fall on his back. Shortly afterwards, a nurse came in, and upon noticing that he was awake she waved her staff around him. Most of the pain came to an end. He got out of bed, still shaken, but now able to move himself. After chatting with the nurse for a bit, he managed to find out that most of his friends were alive. Not in the best of all conditions, but still alive. Some were in more serious conditions, such as that old man, Mikar, and 'a girl with long, purplish hair'. Saffra probably reverted to human form once the ceiling fell on her. The nurse assured him that they'd live, though. He also asked if he could leave the hammer in that room, and pick it up later, and once the nurse nodded he picked his stuff and made his way out of the room and sat on a chair near the entrance, hoping to meet someone in the main hall of wherever the hell he was.

Chelsea had taken to walking around with Kelvin. The two had helped in the efforts of bringing everyone back to the clinic. Since then, they had walked. They didn't say much, just something to do to help their minds off of everything. She leaned on him slightly as they walked, partly because her legs were a little weak, partly because she liked it. After a while, she looked up at him. "I think we could go check in with everyone..." She lead the way back to the clinic and spotted the mage. "Gabriel! You're alright!" She hurried over to him and gave him a light hug. "Has anyone else woken yet?"

Yaen had sat in the main hall for the longest hour of his life. At first, he had just fidgeted. Then, he started sharpening his swords, but after a while, there wasn't anything left to sharpen. Then, he started pulling his swords partially out of the sheaths and dropping them back in, but the staff asked that he stopped because the resulting dinging was keeping some of the patients up. So, in the end, he just stared at the wall opposite of him.
The myrmidon perked up for what seemed to be the millionth time as one of the doors opened. This time, instead of a nurse or visiting relatives, it was actually someone he was waiting for. "Well, thats one alive." he commented. "How are you feeling?"

Gabriel spotted the Myrmidon as he was sitting down, but before he could even answer Chelsea and Kelvin came running through the door. The hug actually hurt his still weak bones and muscles, but it's not like he even had the strength to push Chelsea away, and even if he did, he knew better than to hurt a woman. He sat down as soon as she let go.
"Horrible. As if I had been ran over by a caravan again and again. How about all of you? Are you okay?" Putting his hand on his forehead and lying back a bit, he asked the inevitable. "What about the rest? A nurse told me that they'd all live, but has any of you seen them?"
For some reason he still felt the burn from way earlier, when he first tried Elfire. Ugh...Never felt this bad in my life. I am NEVER carrying that hammer again.

Mikar felt as light as a feather as he had what seemed to be a dream, but It felt so real. Mikar was in a field of flowers. The sky was lime green and Mikar was floating in the air around a fire talking with all his old mates. Mikar smiled in his dream but felt no happiness. All of a sudden the green sky turned black and rained down fire. The field set on fire, as Mikar remembered only the slightest of what had happened. Mikar stopped floating and fell through a giant hole in the ground and landed on a hundred spikes. Mikar was ready to scream out in pain, but pain never came.
Mikar woke from the dream with a fright. He shot right out of the covers only to be greeted by the worse head pain. Mikar winced as he laid back down and wished he had never woken up. Mikar saw many other people from the group in what seemed to be a clinic of some sort. He reached over to the table next to the bed. His axe was there along with his vulnerary and an ice pack. Mikar grabbed the ice pack and the vulnerary. He took some medicine out of the bad and put it on his head where there was a big gash. The pain was decreasing, but just in case Mikar held the ice pack against his head.
Mikar got up from bed and this time without the pain in his head. Mikar was looking for someone, something that would explain what happend. He looked to his right and saw Saffra. Mikar walked slowly over to her, while he applied more pressure to the ice pack. "Uh... What happened?" Mikar said with a moan in his voice.

"I'm fine." Yaen replied. "I got hit on the shoulder, but a vulnerary patched it right up." He further explained. Yaen shook his head in response to Gabriels question. "No." he replied. "I've been waiting in this chair since we got here. That was a little over an hour ago."

Everything was still so vivid. Dust filled her eyes as she lay coiled, guarding Mikar with her life, cradling him so he would not be crushed, as heavy stone and wood crashed into her body, tearing at it, and possibly breaking bones. She had wanted to scream in pain, but her body was broken from the debris, she had to endure for those few seconds what seemed like eternity. Once the rubble set into place, Saffra's dragon body disappeared and she was left a bleeding, broken mess, close to Mikar, her face stained with red, as most of her hair was as well.
In the dark, her eyes could see almost clearly, the man was probably not as injured as she, and she felt she had done what was necessary. With a timid smile, darkness took her, which she was thankful for, tears had caressed her cheek from pain.
Slowly, eyes opened, and the waking world embraced her. The room was well lit, but everything appeared fuzzy. As soon as she went to lift her head, she cried out in pain, and dared not to move a muscle, rather afraid to. Never had she endured this much pain, never had she felt so mortal. There was someone else there, who she could not see without turning her head. She didn't know who it was, but when she heard that gruff old man's voice, she began to laugh, which turned into a cry.
Gaining the will to sit up on her bed, she almost as bad as she looked, or perhaps worse. Looking to Mikar was strenuous, all bones and muscles ached. She may not be blood smeared anymore, but still, a mess was a mess.
"Oh thank the heavens..you are safe..."
She breathes carefully, even that much was a labor for her to accomplish. Looking down at her tattered clothes, she grimaced, and figured a shopping spree was in order.
"The academy collapsed on top of us..." She proceeded to think on saying more, but for now, she kept her mouth closed, unable to even think what more to say.

Mikar looked at Saffra as she winced in pain. It was too much for even Mikar to watch. "Here, don't strain yourself. Try to relax." Mikar said, then he realized that was impossible. "Try this." Mikar said taking some of his vulnerary and placing it on a couple of Saffra's wounds. The cuts began to fade, and Mikar was relieved. "You look like you need this more than me." Mikar said handing the bag of ice. "And the way you're sitting, It's not proper elevation." Mikar said as he placed a pillow behind Saffra's back. Mikar realized what he was doing for Saffra and he joked, "Hey I should be a doctor." Mikar said chuckling, trying to put Saffra in a good mood.

Saffra was grateful for the vulnerary, and though the wounds closed, the mind kept memory of the pain was there. It would take time before the psychological effect left her. As the pillow was slid in behind her back, she gave a small a small laugh to him, and she rested back against it, with a small sigh as her back didn't hurt too much now. With a small smirk, she nodded her head, and tapped the back of the old man's hand.
"Thank you Mikar, I will be alright from now on, go on, I'm sure there are those of our group worried about you, especially Yaen, he meant to come save you himself, I know."
She flashed a smile at him, and with her hands in her lap, she rested back as far as she could, and took to sighing as her eyes closed, and proceeded to rest as best she could. Best not to make the pain worse, or the recovery take longer than needed.

Mikar smiled and nodded at Saffra as he went off to find Yaen. There were so many people being treated, it made him feel sick. Then he thought, what if Yaen was injured. Nah Mikar thought to himself. Yaen is tough, he couldn't be hurt. "Now where is he..." Mikar murmered under his breath. Mikar spotted Gabriel and they made eye contact. Mikar gave him a nod and kept looking for Yaen. Then a nurse came up to Mikar and asked him, "Can I help you sir?" However just as she asked that Mikar spotted Yaen and ignored the Nurse and kept walking. He reached Yaen and smiled "Hey man... rough day."
