Sabin watched as the boy ran to get himself some paper. Man, that kid was crazy. Sabin decided to go to the market and buy some rations. But then, ten steps outside the mansion, and great, he saw a fireball rise to the sky and explode. "Man... that really is one big fireball. Is it some sort of signal? Darn Sabin, why are you so slow! " he said to himself. He was getting annoyed, Sabin walked just in time to hear his last name. What? Why was his last name said? He heard everything after that. Oh, so they were to spy? Well... that was ok, he thought. He'd just finish that mission, make friends with a few people, and leave again. He couldnt stick around in one place, and this group was getting disorganised. Although, it was pretty lively, and it was fun to see kids like that blonde boy and purple haired man argue with each other. Oh well. And then he saw as all the ones selected started chirping with joy. The purplr man started juggling, the blondy smirked with pride, as usual, Aaron was talking about his grandfather...and some other man was talking about his disguise. Sheesh. Who'd need disguises for these people? Why, they didn't even look like normal soldiers! Probably Gabriel was the only mature one here...and Rayl of course. Sabin wasn't too fond of talking about his talents, so he remained silent. And then he saw as another soldier, named Inigo Donnovan This Inigo guys seemed alright... Sabin thought. He then felt the blonde boy tugging his shirt and telling him that this man was hostile. Sabin sighed. Why had he left his crew at Badon in the first place?

Aaron rode up path a bit, before turning and inspecting everyone again. Even a group this small, unless it had some "reason" to be there, would be troubled once they got to Bern. A group of outlanders like themselves would immediately be the talk of wherever they went, and probably wouldn't be very welcome in a nation of civil war. He just hoped they'd be able to come up with enough reason to be there at all. He had doubts about whether "performance troupe" would be enough. Time would tell, it seemed.
"Alright then.... If anyone needs a ride... Hop on. Fable should be able to carry two for a little bit." As long as they aren't too big. The green-headed mage finished to himself.

"Well Aaron, if you need a companion and some brute strength, I'm your man." Sabin told the green haired mage.
He hoped he'd find some stuff to talk with this man. He seemed a little more mature than the rest, less enthusiastic, had different tastes... he was really something. A bard? A poet? A scholar? And now he wanted to be a geographer? There was more to the man than met the eye.
He hoped the blond kid would not follow him though. He was being too spoilt, too stingy and too prideful.

"Hey Aaron! Can I ride a while? I've never really ridden horseback before, this might be a good experience. Also, we can talk about some things also!", Jade answered, slightly uneasy with the hostile feeling from the weird man and a... strange...? look from Binnie.
Speaking of Binnie, Jade had to give him the contract. Jade put his hand into his bag and felt around a bit for the paper, then he took it out and handed it to Binnie.
OoC: This is the contents of the paper:
"Jade Reglay hires Sabin and his pirates to help him find his parents, 1000 Gold upon completion."
Lol, hopefully we get some funny scenes soon.

Sabin read the piece of parchment the blonde boy gave.
"Jade Reglay hires Sabin and his pirates to help him find his parents, 1000 Gold upon completion."
Jade Reglay. So this kid was Count Reglay's son? That was interesting, considering Sabin used to shift cargo for the Count on a few occasions. For this important a mission... there was something special about this kid, that was for sure.
"So you are Pent Reglay's son? Little Jade, I've only seen you as a baby before." he whispered to Jade. He truly had the privilege to see this small child back then.
He frowned at the amount though. 1000 gold? That was hardly enough for a mission such as this. This was like a neverending one.... 1000 gold was all that he could get. But then again... he had no job currently.
"Well... er Jade, sorry kid, I'd really like to help you out, but you see, 1000 gold is not exactly a fitting amount for this important mission. I suggest we keep a time period, and the amount increases. So you can keep my service, but increase payment each time. You know, like, for 6 months, its 1000 gold, 1 year, 2000 gold. Because really, a mission such as this may be fruitless." he tried explain to the kid politely.
"Or.... let's make the deal 2000 now and we'll talk about increased payment later, say, but kid, I'm sorry, but you'll have to be following me. I know, its not exactly like a mercenary, but you see, I've left my crew back in Badon. I think I'll need to meet up with them sometime in the future. In fact, I'd say you hire me as your body guard or something, really, a searching mission seems.... so absurd. I cannot even fathom it!" Sabin replied. He was definetly getting panicked now.
He sighed. He had hoped he would not be stuck with the spoilt kid...but now he was getting employed by HIM? HIM of all people?? This was going to be an annoying journey, Sabin knew that for sure.

"Well, fine we'll go as you said, but the payment is to be made at the end, when we find my parents. Also, we may find them in Bern, which is why I am going there with this group.", Jade answered, slightly appalled at Binnie's reactions towards him. He'd thought that a mercenary would like to get jobs and be paid, but this drastic reaction was something that was beyond what he had expected. It was almost as if Binnie didn't want to accept the job request at all.
At this point, Jade had to remind himself not to be too sensitive to other people's feelings, emotions and thoughts, it would probably lead to him misunderstanding people. However, this... this big of a reaction...
Enough! Enough! Stop thinking about it!
"Well, its settled now...", Jade turned over to Aaron and asked, "So... How do you get up this horse..?"

Roland thought for a second before deciding to move. Inigo was by no means a Donovan. A Diego was more likely, a noble family in Etruria five years prior and butted out of power by Kraft. The other people probably were too young to remember such a thing, but it caused quite a stir back when it happened. It wasn't really hard to pick him out, he still had that stupid mustache. If one wanted to hide, it would be logical to remove such a potent reminder of your past life. But of course he didn't, he didn't and he stuttered every time he mentioned his last name. That wasn't something someone who is telling the truth did, unless they had good reason. There was no good reason he could tell.
That Cavalier, Diego, it might very well be his son. It wasn't that Diego was a rare last name, it was more so the evidence that pointed to it. He was known to have a son and a daughter before he fled the country, the son would of been about his age and the resemblance was there. Still this was all conjecture. While he might very well just be some random Lycian, Roland had his doubts.
Still it very well didn't matter to be honest. If he was or wasn't, it held no sway on anything really. Though it was hard to ignore those dark glances he made. Bitter? He thought about heading towards Aaron, but he would probably be busy with the little lord, so instead he made his way to Lady DeAltburg. "So, we're be traveling together it seems." He said with a grin. "Well, together with an added dozen people or so. Still, it's nice to travel with a group I can trust will atleast inform me that they're going to kill me. Nice change of pace from bandits and mercenaries."

Sabin sighed in relief as the Jade went back to Aaron to go on his horse. Well, the kid would enjoy it, Sabin thought. Kids really did lov ponies.
Sabin moved closer to a blone haired woman and a brown haired man dressed up neatly. Uggh, why was he always with the blonde men!?? He just hushed up and overheard their little conversation.
Ah, so the brown haired man was in a group filled with mercenaries and brigands, eh? Well, Sabin hoped he would be easier to relate to, seeing as both of them had similar professions. Sabin got an idea... as soon as he returned to his crew, he would make two divisions. The mercenary division, the one which would do land based operations, and the pirate division, which would do missions related to the seas. That would make things easier to manage... and he would probably drag Jade along with him. Not like the boy could just be shrugged off.

Karina looked back at the group disguising themselves and smiled. "I'd rather not have to think of a reason why a circus performer would have a pegasus, so I suppose it is best if I go with you," she said to Rayl.
She climbed onto Sascha's back and strapped her legs into the saddle, just in case she and her pegasus had to do any aerial maneuvers. She then unsheathed her lance and held it by her side, ready for anything. She knew that she would have to re-prove her worth to the group, and she would do whatever it took to help them.
She thought of all she missed during her illness. She wondered where Chelsea was, almost crying when she thought of the great friend she had for such a short time. She would try her best not to let illness get the best of her again.

Inigo's glowering hardly changed as the people continued their discussions...if anything they intensified as time went on and suspicions arose. However, he was now staring at that scruffy black haired young man and that little boy more...especially once the former read out that parchment handed to him. Reglay? The Diego's and Reglay's had shared a decent friendship in the past years, something about his father's father's brother aiding Reglay's father's father's uncle or some sort of long standing tradition like that.
Stepping forward and nonchalantly pushing his way in between Sabin and Jade, he knelt down to stare the kid in the eyes, before giving a brief bow,"Hrrmm...My mistake, Sir Reglay." His tone wasn't so rough as it had been, but he still carried on the forced accent. thus rising to his feet, he gave a brief nod to Sir Reglay's 'bodyguard' and began waiting patiently for the order to move...
That is, until he felt prying eyes upon him. Turning about with his hand at the hilt of his rapier, he turned back to that copper haired man, and let out a loud "hmph!" before moving forward to him," It's unceremonious to glower at your elders, Etrurians, not like some vagabond such as yourself would know." This was muttered to both Roland and, due to convenience and location, Guinevere," Sir Rayl may trust the lot of you, but just know I've got my eye on you...both of you..."
OOC: Commander Sexy Stache is also Commander Jerk Wad.

Jade didn't know how to answer the man, and so, he ended up staring and gawking at him like some of the others had done, and when the man scolded the others for gawking and staring, Jade hurriedly tried to make himself look busy trying to get on the horse, feeling bad that they had been shouted at while he had not. It was a weird feeling to have everyone know you just because of your family name. Well, their family was very popular.
Thinking back, Jade realised that this man would have to be from Etruria to know him so well, yet, the family name he had was Lycian. There was something odd about the man, for example, the weird forced accent.

"Well Aaron, if you need a companion and some brute strength, I'm your man."
Aaron heard the burly looking man speak to him.
"Sabin, right? Well, you are exactly the kind of man I want... uhh... well, between me and any marauders with sharp pointy things." Aaron gave a quick grin. On the front lines was about the last place you'd find a mage. At least voluntarily. Despite this, Aaron had had to deal with close in combat on several occasions. He could probably handle getting hit better than most men of his trade, but that didn't mean he liked the prospect of being up close and personal with an opponent. Leave that to the ones with the rending tools, and tin suits.
After a moment's pause, in which Inigo came over and stared straight into Jade's eyes (Hey, he could be our hypnotist.) Aaron looked down, and answered the young Etrurian Lordling. "Sure Jade. Give me your arm, and I'll pull you up behind me."
Taking care to hold tight to the harness with his legs, as he'd learned, Aaron reached down an arm for Jade, waiting for the young man to take it.

Guinevere looked over towards Inigo as he talked, almost threatened, her and Roland. Well, she wasn't gonna stand for this. "Well I've my eye on you too. You act all righteous, like you're the only Etrurian who doesn't agree with what's going on." She slammed her lance into the ground and took a step towards him, drawing herself up. "It's also unceremonious to glower at a fellow noble, but then again you didn't bother to find out all the facts beforehand. My name is Guinevere de Altberg, same as the De Altberg Bakery, which I'm sure you've been to. So don't come in here and assume you're so much better than everyone else. You're not the only one who cares about Rayl here, so don't make yourself into some great hero. So, like I said, I have my eye on you too. And remember," she yanked her lance out of the ground. "Lances beat swords."

"Thanks...", Jade muttered softly, before extending his arm forwards to climb up the horse. When Jade was up the horse, he realised that horse riding was a different experience, and he instinctively held on to Aaron tighter as the horse reared a little, making him lose his balance slightly.
When things became slightly more stable, Jade let go of Aaron, looking slightly sheepish at his reaction to the horse, and muttered a quick and soft, "Sorry!"

Well, it looked like Guinevere spoke up before Roland could even open her mouth. Fiery that one was. He brought to fingers up lazily in a mock salute. "Well it was nice meeting you Lord Diego. Oops, I meant Donovan. Sorry, I say the silliest things sometimes." Roland gave a large, false smile. He turned back to Guinevere, ignoring the man's presence. If he wanted to cause problems, he'd cause problems. If he didn't then he didn't. It was as simple as that, he didn't interest Roland anyways.
"Looks like I'll have to retract my earlier comment." He chuckled lightly. "Sleeping with one eye open seems to be a better idea." For a gentleman, he was a bit of an ass, wasn't he? Oh well, it only reinforced what Roland has known for a long time. "You're friends with Rayl, aren't you?" Roland tilted his head slightly as he talked, innocently questioning the girl.
