When Guinevere stood her ground and made her way mere inches to his face, Inigo had an odd flashback: Faint Nostalgia from the good times back home. He often took his children to the de Altberg bakery, his darling eldest (AKA his daughter) always playing with the de Altberg's child. They gave her play armor and a toy lance, indulging her childish fantasies. She was an adorable little girl she was: how she'd be born to such lord's she would never know. While is daughter was playing with Little Gwenie as he called her, being the stalwart soldier she wished she could be, he'd purchase some sweetrolls for his children, chat with Guinevere's parents of the latest political gossip as was the typical thing nobles did (not that he always cared for it...) and then be on his way...
The stern look in his eyes changed to one of surprise and the faint glimmer in them was obvious joy," Little Gwenie!" dropping the accent completely, he moved forward with speed odd for a middle aged man and embraced the young girl, laughing," I haven't seen you in years, you've grown so!" however, given the past moment, he almost immediately removed himself and after dusting himself off and clearing his throat, spoke again, though the smile was still wrinkling his face," It's me Gwenie, Uncle Inigo, it's a pleasure to see you again!" it was hard to be so formal when you met someone you haven't seen in such a long time! Oh his daughter would be so happy to see her friend again! Maybe he should just run back to the estate right now an-
Oh right...they were leaving soon.
...Why yes he did ignore that Roland Spy...his inquisitory actions and knowledges of his actual self was obvious enough...but that could wait.

"Steady Fable..." Aaron soothed the words out, calming the horse. "He doesn't act up like that very often. Probably just excited by all the people getting ready to leave. Hey, there's two things you can grab onto, if you need to. There's the back of the saddle, or there's me. I'm probably the safer to grab onto. Less chance of getting thrown off."
Aaron looked over, and noticed Inigo, and Guinevere, and Roland speaking. It was unclear just how they were reacting at the time, but Inigo seemed to remember Gwen from his past somewhere.

Guinevere was extremely taken back when Inigo suddenly hugged her. "U-Uncle Inigo...?" She racked her mind for a few seconds before it finally clicked. The man who had come into the bakery with his daughter when she was younger! He had always been a weird guy, but she remembered him being nice enough. Was this really the same guy? But the more he talked, the more familiar his voice sounded. And he did always call her Little Gwenie. But she wasn't sure she ever actually learned his name. But he seemed to know enough, so it probably really was him. "Yes, it has been quite some time. How's your daughter been? How old is she now?"

Seeing as they weren't heading off this instant, Inigo simply stood between Roland and Little Gwenie, as if blissfully unaware he was doing such (but really he was keeping himself in the way of that no good spy.), he put a warm hand around her shoulders, quite contradictory to his previous behavior...
...scratch that, INSANELY different from his past behavior," Oh she's around your age Gwenie, little bit younger. But what about you! Last thing we heard from you on your end you took off from your home after your parents tried to force you to marry my son! Ha ha ha! I don't even know why they wanted that marriage so badly, my son is still afraid of you from you were both but little babes, you know, when you..." he went on like this for a bit longer, talking about the past and stories from when the young girl was a baby...though soon after stopped.
"Wait- how did YOU get here?!"

Gwen felt her face going red as Inigo went over story from when she was a baby. Thankfully, Rayl wasn't anywhere near here or it would be worse. At his question, she paused for a few seconds before answering. "Well, I joined the army under Commander Richter, who is a great soldier. We were that group that the Prophet turned on due to our distrust of us. Once we won that battle with Rayl's help, I left with him." She blushd again and quickly looked around before going on. "Rayl and I are kinda together at this point."

Sabin watched as that Inigo fellow tried to insult the blonde haired woman, then suddenly hug the woman and calling her 'Little Gwenie.' This sure was an odd group, Sabin knew it. He just hoped they would start their journey, he was getting impatient.
He turned towards the other brown-haired man. He was a mercenary, was he not? Sabin felt somehow they both were alike in many ways... there was something about this man that interested Sabin. He decided to strike a conversation with this man.
"Well, you look like you're a professional mercenary. The name's Sabin, wandering mercenary and navigator. You?" he said, and outstretched his hand for a shake.

Roland grew irritated. It seems the man who hated her a second ago was now coddling and cooing over Guinevere like she was his daughter. It was annoying, and he couldn't say or do anything about it. He just wanted to get away from this little fest. She completely ignored him anyway, which again only proved what he has known about nobles all along. But atleast she indirectly answered his question. She was Rayl's friend. His girlfriend, to be exact. Though Roland had assumed as much with the cooing eyes they were giving each other earlier. He decided to see someone else, he didn't know anyone in this group. It was a bit... disheartening. He felt lost, and surrounded by people who were only suspicious of him. Not that he could blame them, he really technically didn't belond. Still Inigo was just being a jerk. God he sounded like a petty child right now.
He saw someone else come up to him. It was the black haired man with the orange headband. He looked a tad brutish, but he preferred that to nobles any day. "Semi-pro." He said with a laugh, taking up the man's hand. "But yes, I've done more then a few missions in my time. I'm Roland Hawkthorne, good to meetcha Sabin. A soldier and a mercenary."

Once again the knight had spaced out. Why would he be here if this "mission" was only to investigate the situation. He had left for one reason. To recruit units who would help in the fight against Illia. Not give the idea of getting involved to people who could join either side. He closed his eyes. Mernatel had failed.
When he came to his senses he walked over to two other people standing around. He recognized one the pirate/mercenary Sabin the other he didn't, so he would introduce himself. He walked up to them, wited for them to finish with their conversation, and said, "Any idea when we leave?" He turned to the man in red, "Hello I'm Mernatel."

Aaron looked around, and things seemed to be degenerating into a great big mess. Not an entirely unpleasant one, but still a mess. It seemed to be turning into more of a social gathering. Well, everyone's gotta talk sometimes, hey?
"Hey, Everyone. Not to be rude, but why don't we pack up our discussions, and get under way?" Aaron proclaimed out to the gathered crowd. He waved a sort of "come on" gesture with his arm as he spoke, and then started to ride off, Jade still seated behind him, up the road. Then he turned his horse around again.
"Ehh... What happens to be the best road to Bern, anyway? I know it's over there somewhere, but... well, there's got to be a best way." Aaron knew where all the countries were located around the world, knew most of the major cities scattered to and fro, and even knew many of the main roads in Lycia, but his knowledge of the smaller details had not been filled in yet. That, hopefully, would be somewhat fixed with this trip.

OoC: Pherae is West of Laus.... right? Cant locate it on the map, oh well, I'll edit it if I'm wrong.
Sabin turned around as the green-haired mage Aaron spoke up. He wanted to start the trip to Bern now, and that was good news for Sabin, as he was in no mood to wait and chat with the people around here. He then heard Aaron say, "Ehh... What happens to be the best road to Bern, anyway? I know it's over there somewhere, but... well, there's got to be a best way."
Sabin replied," Well Aaron, I believe the best route would be through a small village in between Laus and Badon. Its called Cerfan, its a pretty peaceful village, hopefully we wont attract much attention if we pass through there. I'm thinking that would be our main priority on this mission. Also.." he pasued for a moment, and continued, " past Cerfan, we go through a cave which leads us to a mountaineous region in Bern. We can treck down from there to stop by at another village. From there you can decide the next move."
"Or, there could be an easier option. You can stop by at Badon and use one of the ships to reach another port in Bern. That would not be a bad idea." Sabin added.

"Well, if we travel to Badon to get a ship, it'll take a much longer journey from Pherae, and thats not counting the time we'll have to spend on travelling over the sea. I think we'd better travel east of Pherae since Pherae's the closest to Bern", Jade answered, thinking back to several maps that he had read of the region when he was at home. And then, remembering about Binnie and his pirates, he moved over to Sabin and whispered softly, "And if we pass by Badon, they might find out that you are a pirate, Binnie"
At this, Jade giggled slightly, enjoying himself at Binnie's discomfort.

"Well Jade, travelling by foot would be much slower, much ore tiring, and going down the mountain would be difficult. Not to mention the chance of wild animals." Sabin replied.
And then he heard Jade whisper his words about being a pirate.
"Um Jade, the guys there no me well, even if I WAS known to be a pirate, I believe they would not try to slit my throat." Sabin whispered to Jade.

At Sir Winsett's announcement that they should get moving, Inigo gave a nod to Guinevere before stepping forward,"The fastest was is to travel east of here. There is a mountain path guarded from one side by our own troopers, but the other side is guarded by Bern..." He put a hand to his chin, the later of which would be a problem. Not only would Sir Rayl most likely go that way, but wouldn't it be suspicious for them to follow so soon after?
Then there was some sort of scuffle about traveling by ship from Badon...it was with this he began to shake his head at the foolishness of the idea, but then a thought came to him," You there, Scruffy Beard, traveling by ship would take longer considering we don't know where we'd have to go upon landing, and I doubt that many traveling performers, as this group apparently is filled with circus clowns, travel by ship...however...If we had any other information about Bern, it may just be the fastest way."
Thus crossing his arms, he began to look over the group again, then reached into a pocket in his jacket and pulled out a comb," Now even out that bush under your chin, you look like a goddamn pirate mutt more than you do a mercenary."

Roland crossed his arms, his face wretched in indecision. Grudgingly he opened his mouth. "Sir 'stache is correct about that one. That is the fastest way." He hated agreeing with the fool of a man, but it was the truth. And the truth didn't stop being true when it came out of a mouth you didn't enjoy.
"Traveling by ship is a much more roundabout way, but on the whole probably a bit safer if we're trying to be undercover. To tell the truth, Bern is in such a state that we really don't even need disguises." It was the truth, Bern was busy tearing itself apart to worry about outside interference. "It's war down there, I don't think they have the time to second guess a troupe of circus performers arriving by ship as long as all our paperwork checks out... We do have the proper paperwork, right?"

OoC: I think Silvine/Sabin/Alex misunderstood my post, but whatever, I'll play with it.
BiC: "See, Binnie? Going by the mountain range would be faster... And save the trouble of this group finding out you're a pirate. I doubt they'd let you follow on if they do" Jade answered smugly to Binnie, taking care to only whisper the last words loud enough for only Binnie to hear, which is slightly hard when you're on horseback and there's someone right in front of you who is closer than the person you're whispering to.
