Michelle took another quick glance around the room. She was getting very bored and had already taken several quick glances around the room. There was nothing new that she noticed of the room. She had already taken in almost all of the details of the room and could, if she really wanted to and it was needed, describe the room in its entirety. Even the quick glance that Michelle was taking now could not have granted any more details of the room to her. The physician was not in the clinic. It had probably been over an hour since Michelle had woken up. Something was wrong.
It was at this moment that a sharp voice came into the room, it was the newsboy, announcing the latest news of the day, "Latest news! There are two traitors to Bern. They were caught interfering with the actions of the Bernese Army! Their names are Ether and Michelle! Anyone with any news of these traitors are to report their wherabouts to the Army immediately!"
Michelle flinched immediately. She and the knight! They were traitors? Oh no! That Wedner must have spread tales to the heads of the Bernese Army. Michelle and the knight had probably unraveled some of the Bernese Army's most well-kept secrets, their involvements with the bandits and now they were trying to silence them to keep the secret. Even worse, with Jack's death, Wedner probably had a legitimate crime that he could charge them with. The physician! He might be going to report Michelle to the Army!
As these thoughts went through Michelle's mind, a feeling of unease crept over her. The room she was in now was unsafe. She could not remain here, not when posters of herself and the knight were probably strewn all over the town. Where was the knight now? Was he captured? Was the physician turning the knight in to the Bernese Army right now? For some weird reason, Michelle could not keep her mind off of the knight. She didn't know what, but she knew that right now, she could not be cooped up in this room unable to do anything. She had to try and find the knight, and help him if he was in trouble.
Michelle placed her left leg on the floor. Slowly, she placed her right leg on the floor, and breathed in deeply as the throbbing pain started all over again. Pushing the pain to the corner of her mind, Michelle walked towards the door. It was a slow process, but at least she was able to walk.
Michelle opened the door, and walked the short distance to the main door. She was about to open it, but hesitated when she realised that walking openly into the streets when she was wanted as a traitor was not the best thing she could do. Turning around, she saw a door leading into a small garden, supposedly where the physician planted his herbs. There was a small gate leading from the garden out into the streets. The street outside was a small one, there wasn't much people in it, and Michelle could also see a small path leading off the street slightly to the right of the gate.
Taking a deep breath, Michelle walked over to the garden, out the gate, and into the small and dark sidepath before she let herself sit down on the floor to rest her leg. This was not good. Michelle could not get far with her leg in this condition. She needed some time to let her leg get better before she could do anything...

The refreshing warm air gently grazed Erica’s skin, whipping her plat behind her as she soared across the sky. She was filled with relief, and a sense of accomplishment. She felt that she could finally move on with her life. But, how should she start? Erica noticed a town in the distance. She began thinking to herself. She wanted to get work as a Pegasus rider but had no idea how to, or how hard, finding work would be. She realized she was low on funds. Perhaps it was best for her to first focus on finding some form of work, that way she wouldn’t have to worry about funds and could work her way into Pegasus related careers from that point? She shrugged, it was worth a shot.
“Kiki, down!”
Perhaps she could find work in this town. Kiki descended to the outskirts, flapping her wings slowly for a safer landing. Keeping her hair in a plat, Erica removed herself from Kiki and entered the town. She and Kiki caught numerous glances; perhaps bringing Kiki was grabbing too much attention. Erica wandered the streets of the town, her eyes examining her surroundings in search of… pretty much anything. However as she walked her eyes caught glimpse of something rather worrying. There was a girl, sitting against the wall. She looked exhausted, Erica stared at her down the thin alley for a moment.
“Wait here Kiki”
Erica quickly walked towards the girl, her heels clacking against the stone floor. Her long hair brushing and waving behind her.
“Dearie me, what happened here? Are you unharmed?”

Michelle had taken quite a long rest in the alleyway. Everyone walking along the streets had not taken even more than a glance at her or the alleyway, as though both the alleyway and her did not exist at all. This must be how life in the town must be like. Those who were rich and sophisticated would ignore all that was down and dirty about the town. It was like this, even in Michelle's own hometown. For once, Michelle was glad of the stuckup personality of the high-societies. It helped her to hide herself and rest in the alleyway without being spotted.
As time went on, Michelle caught a glimpse of something flying high in the sky. Her first thought was that that was the knight flying back to the town. However, it didn't make sense for him to fly out in the daylight, openly returning to the town when he was wanted by the Bernese Army. Also, on closer inspection, Michelle could see that it was not a wyvern, but a pegasus that the rider was riding on. A pegasus rider in Bern was something of a rare sight after the civil wars between Bern and Ilia.
As Michelle watched, the pegasus's rider seemed to notice her and direct the pegasus towards the street and the alleyway that Michelle was hidden in. Instinctively, Michelle retreated further into the alleyway, in the hopes that the pegasus rider had not noticed her, but rather noticed on some other anomaly in the streets. Michelle did not need another person that could sell her off to the Bernese Army to know where she was. Michelle's hope was dashed, when the rider's pegasus landed right outside the alleyway and she asked Michelle a question, "Dearie me, what happened here? Are you unharmed?"
That question alone caused relief to erupt in Michelle. At least this rider was not a Bernese and did not know of the latest news in Bern.
"I was injured recently, but I'm fine now... Just a little bit of pain when I walk..." Michelle answered, deciding to keep the non-important details out of the answer.
OoC: I didn't expect your solo thread to be done so soon, lol. I expected at least another day or two. But regardless, have fun RPing!

OoC: Gracias, yea I had some extra time so I decided why not.
The girl responded, mentioning she had an injured leg. Erica’s mouth widened slightly in worry. Erica was very concerned no one had stopped to help her, frankly she found it very rude and ignorant.
“Oh my… Well, you simply cannot lie injured in this filthy alleyway. Come with me, I’ll find you help. Kiki will help carry you.
Erica’s head turned back down the alleyway to where Kiki was waiting.
“Kiki!”
The white Pegasus neighed gently and walked slowly towards the pair. The alleyway was thin but Kiki contracted her wings and managed to fit. She bent her two front knees and leaned forward in a bow as if greeting them both.

OoC: Sorry that I took a while to reply, had to study a little for my papers.
BiC: Michelle was immediately on alert. Someone coming over to show concern and extend a helping hand when you are a wanted criminal was a very unlikely thing. The fact that it was happening now could mean that this woman was trying to gain her trust and then turn her in to the Bernese Army later. It was unlikely that anyone who was in Bern right now did not know that she was wanted.
Not wanting to alarm the woman in case she was from the Bernese Army, Michelle acted as naturally as she could, asking, "Umm... This might sound a little rude, but may I know who you are?"

((No problem))
The woman had an expression of distrust, caution. Erica could understand distrust to a stranger, even if they were only trying to help. She did her best to make it clear; her only intentions were to help the woman. She nodded gently, her hair folding over her shoulder as her head bowed forward.
“My apologies, I am Erica Winters of Illia.”
Her attention then turned to Kiki, who was still in a bowing position waiting for Michelle to get on.
“This is Kiki, no need to fear her she is harmless.”
She looked down at Michelle and offered a hand.
“Do you need any help?”
Erica had yet to learn the name of the stranger. It could be seen as odd to offer assistance to someone injured in an alleyway, but Erica could not ignore an injured person, no matter whom. Exchanging pleasantries could happen later, right now the woman’s injury should be treated.

OoC: So sorry for the holdup, I had major tests and didn't have much time to post and I figured it's better I not post until I have time or the post would not have much quality in it.
BiC: “My apologies, I am Erica Winters of Illia. This is Kiki, no need to fear her she is harmless.”, the woman answered. Michelle could tell from the tone that the woman used that she was not lying at all.
Well, if she really was from Ilia, it would explain why she had not heard the latest news from Bern. However, if Michelle had allowed the woman to help her, she might end up placing the woman in danger. It would be made worse considering the woman was an Ilian who most in the Bernese Army would consider and enemy. Michelle decided that she had to let the woman know about her current predicament and decide whether or not the woman wanted to help her.
"My name is Michelle. I used to be from the Bernese Army...", Michelle said. When she had told the woman her name, the woman continued on by asking Michelle if she needed any help. To that question, Michelle braced herself and said aloud, "I don't think you should help me now. I am wanted by the Bernese Army for treason. Do you still think you can trust and help me knowing that?"

((No biggie, Calvin keeps me occupied in the meantime, just worry about your exams.))
As the woman thought to herself some questions crossed Erica’s mind. The most obvious being what the cause of injury was. The woman introduced herself as Michelle, a solider of the bernese Army. Solider… the word brought back painful memories of bother her husband and father. Erica showed no concern for the war. It was a tragic event that continues to progress even as she stands here. She wanted nothing to do with such nonsense. She wanted nothing more than for all of it to end, but she knew she would have to restrain herself; there are people who rely on her. If she were to die in battle, it would mean even more trouble for those who relied on her. The injury was probably from battle. However it was not the occupation of the woman that surprised Erica, but rather what followed.
“I am wanted by the Bernese Army for treason.”
It is true Erica had no concern for the war, but this woman did. She was wanted for treason, in Erica’s eyes that was truly terrible, no matter what side you fight for. Erica would always require proof before she would jump to conclusions, but this woman admitted it herself, and that was proof enough. Erica did not want to stick around; it would mean trouble for herself. Alas, there was not much else Erica could do. It would be worse of her now to leave Michelle injured in the alleyway to be carried to prison by Bernese soldiers. She let out a gentle sigh from her delicate lips.
“Oh dear… Worry not; it is not my job to turn you over to Bern. I will not involve myself in such affairs. However I cannot leave you to fend for yourself with such injuries. I’ll have no arguments, come home with me and I’ll fix you up.”
Erica knew asking for professional medical help would reveal her and she would most likely be punished for her treason crimes. Erica was not going to help by handing over Michelle, but nor did she plan to hide her, she was just going to fix her up and continue as normal. The best place to take her would be her home in Bern, where her husband lived. It wasn't far from this village and it had medical supplies to treat battle injuries. Perhaps she could find out more about this girl and her injuries. Her treason could be justified.

"You are quite naive to think that way. Fine, if you want to help me, then perhaps you could find me a safe place to hide out in? At least until things die out?", Michelle responded.
Somehow, something about this woman made Michelle compelled to trust her. Michelle knew that in her own situation now, she needed someone she could trust. She would never survive more than a day on her own in the wilderness that was Bern. This woman might not be trustworthy, but at least, if she were to turn Michelle in to the Bernese Army, things would end fast. It wouldn't end up being a prolonged game of cat-and-mouse that would still end up with Michelle being caught. And if, if this woman was indeed trustworthy, then Michelle had just found her only way out of her tight situation.
Michelle steadied herself and stood up, hand on the wall for support as she walked over to the pegasus that the woman had indicated. As Michelle neared the pegasus, she saw that the pegasus's height reached up to about her shoulders. Michelle knew that she would not be able to climb up onto the pegasus's back on her own.
"C-Could you give me a hand getting up..?", Michelle asked the woman who was with her.
OoC: Sorry again. In three days I will be more free though. Let's hightail it out of the village and into a safe haven. Where do you have in mind? Also, we'll make the introductions happen while they're on their flight. Probably in a support thread? Or since we're in a two person thread anyway, we might be able to just RP the introductions out.

Erica thought to herself as the woman spoke. She had quite a rude attitude for someone in need of assistance. Proper etiquette dictates you thank the person who offers their assistance, not act like it were some sort of chore. Erica was starting to have second thoughts about this, she would fix her injuries and leave be.
“Very well, I have a home not too far south of here. I have supplies to fix your injury and you may rest for the night.”
The woman agreed and stood up hand against the wall for support as she walked over to the Pegasus. Erica let a welcoming smile rest on her face. She knew she must not judge the woman due to attitude, she has an injury, it might be painful, not everyone can keep up a friendly attitude in such situations. Kiki understood what was happening and laid down on her four legs to make it easier.
“Thank you Kiki, careful now Michelle.”
Erica helped her step over onto the Pegasus into a sitting position, and then she two got on in front of Michelle. Kiki then rose and began clip clopping her way down the thin alleyway giving Erica a moment to talk.
“O.k. we do not have much time before Kiki takes off. I don’t know what your story is but I do know you cannot be seen. Hold onto me tight and do your best to crouch low. Kiki’s wings should help provide cover until we reach the skies, here we go!”
There were only a few seconds for Michelle to prepare, Kiki already running down the alley about to reach the end. She dashed into the open space and extended her wings before leaping into the sky and taking flight. People gasped and looked up, they were surprised to see the take off in the town, but it appeared nobody was able to make out Michelle. The weight of two people must be hard on Kiki, but Erica knew it was only for a short while.

As the pegasus took off, Michelle remembered her flight with the knight the day before, when they were heading to the bandit stronghold. The feeling of flight was very different from that of travelling on horseback. It made you feel free and open, as if the whole world belonged to you.
The knight! Where was he now? Was he captured, or had he gone into hiding? Michelle did not know, but she did know that she had to survive and protect herself first. If he was captured, all she had to do was to rescue him later on, hopefully before they -------- him. Michelle could not even bear to think of the word. Treason was a serious crime. Hopefully the knight was safe now, that would set Michelle's heart at ease.
OoC: Sorry for the really vague reply. There was nothing else I could do or say about the flight unless Erica was the one who started talking or doing anything.

Erica thought to herself. She tried to remain calm but conflict began to form inside of her. She wanted to treat Michelle’s injury, but she just realized she helped a wanted woman escape. By treating her injury, she would only be further assisting an escape. It is true she wanted nothing with the war, but she was doing the complete opposite of avoiding it. The Pegasus soared through the air beyond sight and the pair quickly escaped the village unseen. Erica sighed in both relief and distress. She had no idea what she was getting herself into. Her plat flew behind her in the air, around Michelle. At first the journey was silent, Erica thinking of all the possible consequences of her actions. No, she must think things through; not doing so is what put her in this position. Just take things one step, at a time.
“What is your story Michelle, the story behind your crimes? Are the charges against you justified?”

Michelle took a few moments to ponder on the woman's answer before responding, "It depends on how you look at it, doesn't it? Does discovering that a bunch of commanders are in cahoots with the bandits in the mountains count as treason?"
The response came out with a huge amount of malice and sarcasm that many would be able to feel almost immediately. Michelle was pretty angry about the whole affair too. It was as if she and Ether were just pawns that the higher-ups were using in their political games. Now, both of them were on the run from the empire and Michelle doubted that any of the higher-ups even cared about them.

Erica was a little surprised, but she was not shocked. Bern had associated with Bandits before. However Erica was not sure who to believe right now, she was still questioning why she offered help, but then she remembered Michelle’s injury. If what she says is true then she is innocent and even if Erica couldn’t prove it, her help could help save Michelle. Michelle had trusted her not to turn her in, so for now all Erica could do is trust her. In this situation, trust is the most important factor.
“Then you are innocent… My apologies, I just did not want unnecessary trouble. I will trust you Michelle. In a time like this, trust is vital, and it might be all you have. You may stay in my home as long as you want…”
Erica didn’t know what she was doing, but she knew she had to do something. She rejected a sigh before speaking once again.
“It’s just up ahead.”

Michelle noted the small wrinkle of doubt that she saw on the woman's face after Michelle had told the woman of her predicament. Figures, when you were on the run in this way, it was highly unlikely that a whole lot of people would trust you. The fact that this woman had already been willing to offer her aid to Michelle meant that at least for now, this woman could be trusted not to turn her in.
Michelle had to place her trust in the woman, for there was no one else she could trust at this moment when the forces she was running away from encompassed the whole of the country she was in. Not when she was still recovering from the wound she had received.
"Thanks...", Michelle said aloud, her gratefulness for the woman's help being portrayed in her tone of voice.
