Touring The City of Heroes [Open]

[Harmonia]

Harmonia knew lots of things! Like how to make pottery! Or how to make a sword! Or how to cut a man in exactly the right places to disable him completely and carve a kitty into him without killing him! That last one was super fun! But something she didn't know was history...

Daddy never did teach her about it, but she always heard a bunch of the stuffy nobles talking about stuff going on! Like some kinda bandit thing with a guy from Bern getting a bunch of cutthroats together and making a big ol' army to conquer Elibe! And there was like all these Hero people from the past he made come back to life to fight too! It was pretty neat! And then a bunch of new heroes stopped him! And they made a city!

And that was where Harmonia found herself now, in the City of Heroes. It wasn't very big, nor as impressive as anywhere in Etruria, but it was still neat too! It reminded her of another place near Lycia... um... what was the name? Bel... Bul... Vulgar! That was it! She knew she could remember it!

Her horse trotted in and the young girl rode sidesaddle upon him, her parasol closed and resting on her lap. She was definitely an odd sight given her style of dress, but most just shrugged their shoulders and went about their business. She gazed around the city, taking in the sights and marveling at simply the experience of seeing new sights like these. The city still had it's own flair that differentiated it from other cities around Elibe!

But as pretty as everything was, she had something she wanted to do! Talk to a real Hero! Um... Wait... What was his name again? Ken... Kenny... Kensh... Kenshiro! That was it! She needed to find this Kenshiro guy! But ah, where to go...? Well, she just needed to look around some more and so set off to do so.

[Tamaya]

Well, this was a change of pace.

Tamaya rode on Shikoba, entering the city and trying to seem unimportant. She was intrigued by the city... Cities looked interesting. She'd never seen one before. She was amazed at the many people, the sights, the sounds, the smells... So amazed, in fact, that she didn't see a girl on a horse before she nearly ran into her.

"Oh. I am sorry," Tamaya said, stopping abruptly and causing her arrows to rattle in her quiver. "I did not mean to run into you. Are you all right?" she asked humbly, hoping the girl, who seemed like she had a mission, would not take offense.

[Harmonia]

Harmonia was still taking in the sights and people when she had almost noticing the nomad that seemed distracted herself. She yanked slightly on her horse's reigns, moving him out of the way before the nomad stopped and started to apologize. For her part, Harmonia's smile never left her face.

"No problem! It's okay!" She responded with a cheery tone to the apology. "Oh! Do you know a guy named Kenshiro around here?" She smiled still, looking intently at Tamaya.

[Tamaya]

"Thank you," Tamaya responded graciously. Hearing the second question, Tamaya furrowed her brow slightly, racking her detailed memory before looking in disappointment at the other woman. "Again, I am sorry. I do not know a Kenshiro. Do you perhaps mean the Ranger-Lord, Kenshin, our Crimson Daemon of Sacae?

Tamaya had heard the name of Kenshin often in clan conversation. Apparently, he was a great leader, a hero, and a veteran of many battles. Tamaya admired his skill greatly. What a person Kenshin must have been.

"Kenshin is a hero revered by many Sacaeans for his valiant deeds in battle. It is said he could destroy armies single-handedly with his skill."

[Harmonia]

Oh boo, she didn't know where Kenshiro was! But this Kenshin guy did sound like who she was looking for! Geez, she needed to get better at remembering names!

"Yep! That's the one! I wanted to meet a hero!" Her smile turned into a toothy one as her eye shut as well, leaving quite a cute impression. "But I still don't know where he is!" She giggled a bit. "Do you know?" She opened her good eye again to look at Tamaya again. "Oh! Manners! I'm Harmonia! Who are you?"

[Tamaya]

"No, I am sorry. I do not know where the great Kenshin is... But this is his city, after all. I have never been to a city before, actually... I have only known the endless plains.

My name is Tamaya. It is good to meet you, friend Harmonia. I am glad to know somebody outside of my clan, who is a friend. I was afraid all people would dislike me, because I am Sacaean. My clansmen said, "Beware, for the people, they do not like us, because we are darker and live out on the plain and not in the city. They call us 'savage' and they throw us out."

You do not seem like those people, friend Harmonia. It is nice to have a friend."

Tamaya smiled, genuinely happy.

[Harmonia]

"Dislike you? That's silly! I love everybody! ♥" The young girl spoke up once more in her cheerful tone. "But if you don't know, I need to ask someone else too!" She turned and quickly called over to another Sacaen man. "Excuse me! Do you know where I can find Kenshin?" The man blinked for a moment as he turned to look over at the young girl before shaking his head and saying he didn't. After a word of apology from the blonde girl, he went back to his business.

"Hmm..." She tiled her head a bit, resting her cheek on the palm of her hand. "Ah! Maybe I can go to an inn and ask for directions! Tamaya, do you know one around here?"

[Tamaya]

"An Inn... I am sorry. I am useless to you, for I do not know any of these things. This is my first city. An inn is a home for many, right? I think I remember one over there," Tamaya said apologetically, gesturing to her left, toward a group of seedy-looking taverns.

"We could look and see if anyone will help us," she offered.

[Burgid]

Burgid slowly enjoyed her drink at a table in an inn. It was kind of nice, too be able to sit in the open in her traveling clothes, without a bounty on her, nor guards trying to kill her, or being known, at all. She read over a map of the local area, she even paid for it, familiarizing herself to better pass of as a local. She would mock the occasional person that walked in, trying to get the area's accent down. At some point she needed to find some work soon.

[Tamaya]

Tamaya got off of Shikoba, telling the horse to wait as she entered one of the seedy inns. Seeing a girl, sitting over a paper, Tamaya walked up. The girl looked like she would know things... Right?

"Hello. I am Tamaya. I am looking for someone who knows how to find Kenshin. Could you help us?"

Looking down, Tamaya saw the map, and smiled at the other girl. Maybe she'd use her map to help them!

[Harmonia]

Looking around was always a good idea! Harmonia nodded to the Sacaen woman. "That's what I've been doing! Haven't had that much luck though." The cheerful young woman shrugged a bit. "Ah, but we can still try! Someone could know!" She let Tamaya take the lead, the Sacaen probably knew a bit more about the place than she did since she'd been here longer!

They came to an inn that didn't exactly look very savory, but oh well! She tied her horse to a hitching post nearby and then followed after the other blonde, entering to see her talking to another person already, asking if they knew where to find the Crimson Demon. Harmonia gave a little wave to the other person.

[Burgid]

Burgid was interrupted by a Sacaean woman. Burgid reflexively reached behind her back, ready to draw the weapon there if needed. She did not think a bounty hunter would chase her this far, but it did not hurt to be safe.

"Hello. I am Tamaya. I am looking for someone who knows how to find Kenshin. Could you help us?" The woman asked.

Us? Burgid look around for the other one. Sure enough, another blond woman walked and and waved. Well, she either had trouble find her, or work had. "So you want to find Kenshin, the Crimson Demon?" She asked in her normal voice, too on edge to fake one. She had heard of the person from some people earlier, and hope her information was right. She waved the waitress over, "Waitress, were could we locate Kenshin?" She then pulled the money out for her drink plus a little and gave it all to her. "Keep the change."

[Harmonia]

Harmonia took a seat at the table while waiting, humming a bit of something. For her part, the waitress looked quite busy, going from table to table taking orders before getting to Burgid's. "Hm? What?" She paused for a moment, allowing the question to register in her rush. "Kenshin..." She looked thoughtful for a time before wincing slightly.

"I believe he lives on the southern side of the city, but I only moved into town recently. You might try asking some of the locals who've lived here longer for more exact directions. Regardless, is there anything else I can get you?" She took up the money for the drink, smiling. "Ah, thank you!"

Harmonia was quick to speak up afterwords, "Oh! I'd like whatever's the tastiest! For food and drink!" She chirped happily, not even caring just how vague that was.

"Ah, alright... I'll see what the chef has fixed then." The waitress looked to Burgid for an answer to her question as well.

[Tamaya]

"Hmm."

Tamaya sat down. She wasn't sure what to say in this situation... On the plains, she knew the customs and the rituals. Here, she was immersed in a strange new thing, and so wasn't totally comfortable.

"I am Tamaya. Who are you?" she asked awkwardly, trying to be friendly.

Immediately afterward, she regretted it. What if that was the wrong thing to say? What if she had bungled a greeting? What to do...

[Burgid]

"She will have the chicken." She told the waitress. Burgid then looked at the newcomers. They were looking less and less like bounty hunters and she relaxed, just a little, reliving her grip on the weapon hidden behind her. The Sacaean seemed mostly harmless. The other seemed, well. She was not sure yet. "Pleasure to met you Tamaya. You may call me Kate. Who is your friend? And might i ask what you doing here?"
