The battle will take part in four topics around the city, North, South, East, and West. You can be in one topic at a time, if you leave one to go to the other it must be adjacent to the one you're in(You can't go from North to South, East to West, and vice-versa) and you must declare which one you're moving from. Whatever topic you're in counts towards for your limit. Make sure to read the combat changes if you haven't.

Oleg let out a faint yawn as he woke up in his tent. It'd been a long night of drinking and planning, but today would be the day... Or so he hoped, at the very least. As he rose up, he put on his armor, and took his silver sword. He was going to need both today. As he looked around the tent, he also picked up his old bandana, tying it around his forehead.
As Oleg then stumbled outside, he walked trough the camp as he watched the City. It was going to be a tough nut for Augustus's troops, especially when they had some attackers from the inside... He then reached the collection of tents that was his squad. Broken men, eunuches, mutes... But loyal to him and his ideals. Perfect men for this.

A heavy armored hand laid itself down upon Oleg's shoulder suddenly. Turning, it'd be easy to identify as belonging to one of the heavily armored soldiers that made up the Armor Division. "The Lord Reaper wants to see you." For Oleg, it was quite obvious who he meant. Augustus Nacht had become quite well known among their gathering forces and even people outside of their group had started to call him "The Reaper Shepherd". Hidden behind a title and a mask, the identity of The Reaper was known to few.
Still, the black armored man led the veteran warrior off to another tent, a large one fit for command during this siege. The inside was filled with maps and stratagems for the oncoming battle, reports of numbers, supplies, and everything else. A large table was at the center of the room and currently standing over it was the 'faceless' Lord Reaper. The Knight stood at the entrance, blocking it off for the time being. A few others could be seen within the tent as well, four men wielding scythes made for war and sheep masks upon their faces along with the black armored Knight that had escorted Oleg here.
"Ah, Oleg. Good, good. I have an important matter to discuss with you before our siege begins."

Oleg grit his teeth slightly. Had the giant told Nacht? Had one of his squad broken? Had he just taken a peek into his orb? He then smiled, walking to the table as he stretched. "I see you've gotten a pretty nice setup here... I just prefer castrating mine or breaking them and calling it a day, but I see your personality in this style."

"I see you've gotten a pretty nice setup here... I just prefer castrating mine or breaking them and calling it a day, but I see your personality in this style."
Nacht chuckled a moment, standing tall at attention instead of leaning over the table. From Oleg's position, he could also tell that Nacht was careful to stand just outside of the range of a blade. "Then let's make this quick. You surrender without resistance or I have to involve your daughter in this." His voice was cold and chilling, sounds of rustling following.
The Knight readied a lance that was holstered before, the sheep masked oddities began to ready their weapons as well. This was going to end either very quickly or very bloodily. Either way, Oleg had sealed his own fate. "I tried to give you a chance, Oleg. I really did. And I must say, you are no sheep. You are a wolf." The faceless Druid spoke with clarity, the Lord Reaper's words carrying a heavy weight.
"And a wolf needs to be killed to protect the flock." An eery pause. "Now. Make your choice. You or your daughter."

Oleg blinked at the proposal. He was surrounded. He had to make this choice, and it was going to be something oh so difficult... Himself. Or Oichi. "You're a sadistic man, you know. This is a hard choice. I want to live a few more years to handle some unfinished business, and I'll die from alcohol at some point anyways... But she's my daughter."
Oleg tapped his fingers against the wooden table. He could try to kill one of the sheeps before the shepherd would kill him. Not worth the sacrifice. He gritted his teeth more. "I spent most of my fortunate educating her for a life without me. Yet I'd like to build another fortune just for the hell of it. She... She would be better off without me. She's young, she's lived for only so little. Yet, I too fear death. Yet I do not fear you..."
Oleg then let out a sigh, taking his sword as he stabbed it trough the table. "Maybe I'll see you in wherever I go after this."

Nacht stepped forward, placing a hand around the grip of the silver blade before yanking it free and holding it in his hand. He truly did value the sword arm of the veteran warrior. It was a shame that he'd decided to waste it in this way. Oleg would have made a good warrior to have around. A true shame.
"Then your choice is made. Take him."
The Knight and the sheep moved forward, hands seizing Oleg before binding his arms behind his back. He was dragged back in a rush before a kick went to the back of his knees and he was sent towards the ground, another hand reaching to grab at his hair in order to make him look up at Nacht. The Lord Reaper slowly moved around the table, silver blade in hand still as he stood entirely before Oleg. A faceless black monster, inhuman by any measure.
"I'll see you in Hell, Oleg."
Nacht brought the blade back and then pierced the mercenary's throat, silencing his treachery for all time. Another soul for the stockpile. Another life to fuel the war machine.
The hands released him and the lifeless corpse fell to the ground. Nacht wiped his new blade upon the old man's cape, also retrieving the sheathe he had used. After placing the blade back in it's sheath, he wore it himself, a new prize.
"Take his armor and add it to the supplies. Then chop off the head and put it on a pike. I want all to see the fate of traitors in this time."
---
The sheep and the knight did as their Reaper Shepherd bid, removing the armor and hauling it off before removing the head and shoving it down on a pike. The pike then found it's way to the front of the Lord Reaper's command tent and word began to spread. Treachery would not be abided, disobedience would be rooted out.
And morale began to rise as the scent of blood filled the air.

Orcleous walked the wall of the city and looked out upon the horde of bandits gathering outside. He could hardly believe there were so many people in one place. Orcleous had been in a battles before when he joined up with that raid part, but it was nothing compared to this. This was a completely different level. There were more people here than in his home village. Shoot Orcleous had not even been to a city with this many people before.
"Amazing", spoke Orcleous. "Truly amazing, and yet frightening". Orcleous took in the view and began to mediate on it. All of these men gathered here to kill murder and pillage. Orcleous could not help wonder about his fate. Was he going to die in this city like so many are destined to do, or is he going to live and become a hero. What was his destiny. Orcleous truly did not know.

A few clattering steps were all that would announce the mercenary knight's movements as he walked along the wall, staying close to the gate. A few clattering steps were easily lost among the movements of what could likely pass as an army, shifting and moving to keep their defenses at their prime. There was a lot of talking, too. All of varied tones. Some of confidence. Some of cowardice. Some of realism, and some of insanity. All sorts came here on to defend this place. Or maybe it was more than the place that they came to defend. Maybe it was the symbol. The iconic nature. Or perhaps it was even the people.
Then again, it never was his job to figure those things out. So instead, the knight stood vigil on the wall, his silver armor reflecting the sunlight, his features mostly hidden by his helm. He kept his lance in hand, and his eye on the enemy army. Most times people felt fear, or intimidation at this sort of sight. He was only grinning. It was exhilarating, in some ways. He had been in quite a few fights in his time, but this one... This had a different feel to it. Maybe that was something he should've taken as an omen, but the way it stood out...
A light laugh escaped his lips as he looked onward, tapping the butt of his lance into the platform beneath him. Today would be interesting indeed. What sort of interesting, he'd find out soon enough.
"Amazing," the man near him said, seeming lost in thought, "Truly amazing, and yet frightening."
Aethan turned his head at these words, the same confident, amused grin on his face as he carried for most the time he was up here. His helmet's visor was up, making his carefree demeanor plain to see.
"Exciting's the word I'd have used," Aethan said with a bit of a laugh, "Look at all them! No matter who wins, this is a battle they'll tell stories about for generations to come. Only thing that's uncertain is which side is going to be painted to be in the right. I don't know about you, but I'd rather we stay the good guys here, yeah?"
He turned his head back to the opposition, his eye scanning everyone as best as he could. He wished he had better vision to see details, but he was fine with figuring those details out once they started approaching.
"If you're frightened, well. Think you're looking at it all the wrong way. Really, what's the worst that could happen? Death isn't so fearsome, if you stop worrying on the what ifs," he said, his eye still on the enemy as he talked, "Tell you what though. I'm Aethan. I'll watch your back if you watch mine. Sound good?"
Every bit of confidence helped. Even if this man didn't take him seriously, Aethan hoped at least the men around them would take heart at the bright and cheerful tone, and hopefully spread it themselves. If everyone held the belief they could trust in their skill, if everyone held hope of winning, then they would fight as strongly as their spirits and those of their allies allowed. Aethan kept this hope in his mind as he turned to his new battlefield acquaintance. He kept the enemy in the corner of his eye, and he kept his ears open for and alarms.
And on top of that, he kept his grin all the while.

"Frightened", spoke Orcleous with a slight offended tone. "Naw naw you got it all wrong", spoke the mercenary. "I am not scared. Even with all of these guys standing out there this is nothing. I was scared when I was staring down the very first undead I had ever meet. I was scared when I fought against a giant man with a horse body for legs. I was scared when I faced down a dragon with nothing but an ugly sweeter and a iron sword. This is not scary it is just amazing." Orcleous paused for a moment before he started speaking again.
"The name is Orcleous. I am a mercenary from Bern. The young man extended his hand to Aethan. "You have my silver sword at your back", spoke Orcleous as he touched the hilt of his blade.
Even with the words of confidence Orcleous spoke earlier there was still a small pebble of fear in his heart. Fear of death, fear of losing, and a fear of what lies beyond. Still he needed to steel his feelings. There was a war to fight. If he allowed himself to fear the enemy then he will never be able to fight at his full potential. Still that was a lot of people out there, but then again they had a lot of people inside. In truth their numbers were probably equal. The only real difference was that they were cooped up in the city while the enemy was forming up outside. They just looked like they had more because they were spread out over a larger space.
"Hey Aethan", spoke Orcleous. "How about we play a game, no how about a challenge. Lets see who can claim more of the enemy. Your spear or my sword. The loser buys the winner a drink. So what do you say Aethan? Are you up for the challenge", spoke Orcleous.

"Orcleous, hm? Might want to watch yourself with those bets. But I'm glad I know the name of the man I'm going to beat now, at least," he said with a hearty laugh, his eye glimpsing the blade. It certainly was a pretty piece, but was it for show, or could he use it? If he could use it as nicely as it looked, then he might be buying the man a drink after all. Still, the competition would help keep the casual killing light hearted. Was that a good thing?
Still, a fellow mercenary was always welcome company. People tended not to trust their sort because of their loyalty to the coin and to themselves, but to Aethan, he was able to relate. Mercenaries and sellswords made more sense to him compared to a lordling or a full knight any day. And because of this, he was welcome company.
"Not gonna forgive you if you die before getting me my drink though, hear me?" he said with a smirk. Competition was fun, but survival was more important. If this man survived even half of what he said he had, then his experience was valuable here. More so than his own. Maybe some day, he'd have his own weapon like that, a lance of silver that gleamed like moonlight. But that day was far off.
For now, this one would have to do.

Feren looked over the amassed army of bandits below.
Another day, another war.
It was his first siege of such scale, but it felt little different from the others he had been involved in. He would survive or he wouldn't, there was no need to dwell on thoughts of survival or the battle to come. He shrugged and scratched under the aventail shrouding his face. He saw a familiar armored sight on the wall nearby and approached.
"Not gonna forgive you if you die before getting me my drink though, hear me?"
"Now that would be a tragedy, leaving him without a drink."
He laughed and joined the two, heedless of his interruption.
"They've got themselves a nice little army down there. Think they'll just maintain the siege or storm us?"
He personally hoped they'd storm the place. If he was to die he'd rather die fighting than by starvation.
Having walls helps them more than us if they're patient.
Not waiting for a response he looked to the other man and grinned, not that one would be able to see it.
"I'm Feren, by the way. And if you're buying the drinks I'd be glad to watch your back."

Jya took a few long gasps of air and wiped her sweat off with her gloves. The run around town sure eased up some of the tension she felt. She looked around, orientating herself with to the layout of the town. Carefully strolling through the area, she supposed it was somewhere North. Maybe it was stupid of her to run so far, so quickly, but it kept her muscles primed and ready for the fight for her life that she knew was coming. Looking back, her apology back at the west part of the city was the first time she spoke in awhile. A part of her wished there was just somebody else to speak to. Then a sinking feeling began to surface at the pit of her stomachs. She was completely and utterly alone in this ordeal. This was her fault from a multitude of reasons, not picking a side, remaining silent, and always running away. With all escape routes closed off, her best skill at running away was becoming rather useless. She swallowed, finding it more difficult by the realization. What can one person do in such a situation. What was even the situation? All she knew was that a lot of people were gonna show up and a lot of people were going to die. Because she wasn't involved in any of this, she had failed to get even a proper grasp of the situation. Yet, as frightened and troubled as she was, there was a certain calmness, almost eagerness about her. No one was about to take her life without a struggle. She heard the stories told about the so called Emerald Wraith. As false and blown out of proportion there were, the truth remains that she was still alive. She can hardly deny that she tend to kill any threat thrown her way.

Orc chuckled at Aethan words. Before he could retaliate another man had jumped in. He had the look of a bruiser and possibly a drinker. His face told that he had been through many battles, or at lest what Orcleous saw. Orcleous was not a pro at judging people's battle experience since it was not that long ago that he took up the sword himself. The man was a jolly enough guy, but he was not one to give you time to responded. He introduced himself and commented all in the same breath, or at least Orcleous thought it was.
"Feren", spoke Orcleous. "Never heard that kind of name before, but then again I have not been outside of Bern long. Nice to meet you big man", spoke the Mercenary. "The name is Orcleous." As Orcleous spoke with Fern he saw a familiar figure moving below the wall. He was a bit distant, but he could remember that movement from anywhere.
"Hey you", shouted Orcleous as he jumped form the wall and landed onto some steps. The next leap hit the ground where Orc ran up to the woman in green. "You there maiden in green", spoke Orcleous as he came up to Jya. The young boy pointed at himself and gave off a wide grin. "Do you remember me", asked Orcleous. "We meet back in a city some time ago. You were jumping from the buildings", spoke Orc. He was not sure if she would remember him though. It had been a while and their encounter was brief.

A full attempt now would be too early, instead the Lord Reaper was moving about as a handful of captains entered his command tent, passing the traitor's head on their way in. The air was tense, though still rife with the stench of fresh spilled blood. The orders came down swiftly and the captains ushered back out even quicker. 3 teams started to gather up and began to make a push for the wall, each about 10 men strong.
The defenders on the northern side fired upon the assault squads, a couple of men went down into pit traps that ringed the northern side while another few were met by arrows that halted their progress in a permanent fashion. By the time they got to the wall, only about 18 of the 30 men were there, but they presented a certain problem to the walls' integrity.
