Orcleous breathed a sigh of relief as he sat down in a familiar chair inside of a familiar Inn. The trip was a bit rough thanks to the terrain, but he was able to get his friend Claira to a doctor before anything went horribly wrong. The Champion was just starting to understand that he was stronger than he thought. Still Orcleous had a new enemy to face. It was no longer about medics and slavers, but now the greatest foe of all, family. Orcleous was back in Mordor and as a result he was back in the range of his family. He was sure he was going to get a earful of nagging from his mother once she discovered the reason he was back and his brothers would talk about the farm and the happening around the village. His father, well he never really liked Orcleous being a mercenary so he was sure he would give him some flak about something. There the was the extra. Now she was going to be trouble. Orcleous did kind of ditch her the last time he was here. "Here is your roast duck just like you like it", spoke a young waitress as she walked up to Orcleous and placed a plat of cooked bird inront of him. The Champion gave a nod and broke off a wing. "I wonder how long is it going to take for her to show up and nag my ear off", he spoke to himself as he bit into the cooked bird. "Oh not long", spoke a voice as Orcleous focused on his plate. The champion looked up to see a young girl, maybe sixteen years old with green eyes and dark red hair. Her skin was of a tan color and her hair ran down into two separate pigtails. She wore a crimson tank top along with a pair of high cut shorts. At her side was a steel longsword and on her risk was a pair of steel wrist guards. The maiden screamed adventure, but those who know her decreed novice. "Xeldine", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the maiden. The last time the two meet Orcleous had left her behind and traveled to the north by himself. The maiden was not pleased the least with his actions. Especially since she was suppose to be his apprentice, thought the position was self appointed. "So you finally show your face", she spoke as she placed her hand on the table and looked down at the Champion. Orcleous however continued to chump down on his duck ignoring her as much as possible.

Claira slowly opened her eyes. She was laying in a comfortable bed. "W..where am I?" She thought to herself. Her mind began playing back the last things before going unconscious. Then her own words came back haunting her. "I think that's the reason I like you so m..." Her eyes went wide. She was hoping that Orcleous didn't hear her saying it. As she tried to get up, a pain shot up her right side rib cage. Looking down, she saw that her shirt was gone to be replaced by bandages that went from the lower region of her ribs to just under her chest. A clean crimson red shirt was on her. Laying her head back down on the pillow, she heard knocking on the door.
An older man came into the room. "Ah! Your awake, a good sign. How are you feeling Claira?" The old man asked as he walked over to her and began checking her bandages and her wounds. "I feel like a Wyvern just ran me over and stomped on my ribs....how do you..." The old man smiled and replied, "Orcleous told me. I'm the one who's been taking care of your injuries. You can call me Doc." Nodding her head, the thief relaxed her body and tried not to move as much as she could. Looking at Doc she asked him. "Where is he?" Doc just pointed down at the floor as he checked her left shoulder. "Claira, with as much damage that is on you...I'm surprised you've lived this long. Now get some more rest" , "I get that a lot it seems." Claira said. The old man left and shut the door behind him. Walking down the stairs, Doc went right for the now eating champion.
"She's a tough little bird Orcleous. That punch of yours...that could have killed her. But...on some good news, she's awake for now. Claira will be needing to rest some more and let her body heal on its own. That understood Orcleous? I'll check in on her tomorrow to see how she is healing." Nodding his head, Doc left the Inn to leave Orcleous with one injured Thief and a rather annoyed apprentice of his.

"My punch could not be that strong doc", spoke Orcleous as he looked at his fist. The Champion was in a bit of a denial, though he was sure he could not kill with a punch. Maybe his punch was the straw that broke the camels back, but he was sure it was not a killer blow. Still it meant that he needed to be careful from now on. He could not just go around punching people in the face, not that he did that a lot in the past.
As Orcleous finished talking with the doctor Xeldine looked at him as if she heard the church had been burned down. "I am sorry, but did I just hear correctly", he spoke as she began to lean forward. The Champion however ignored her and picked up his plate of duck and made his way back to the stairs. He knew better than to ignore Xeldine for long though. She gets vindictive and angry very quickly.
"Yes you did", spoke Orcleous as he walked up the stairs. "I punched a young maiden in the ribs with my fist and accidentally made things worse." As the words came out of Orcleous mouth the young maiden face lit up like fireworks. Her eyes scanned the back of Orcleous head looking for anything that would give a sign of his facial expression.
"So you are punching maidens now", spoke Xeldine in a playful manner. As much as she was trying to poke at Orcleous she was curious about this maiden that was with Orcleous. Orcleous was known to fight many enemies, but he was never known for saving them. Any man or women who got in Orcleous way died and he would care less. The fact that he brought this maiden here and went through the trouble of getting a doctor told that the two not only knew each other, but Orcleous cared about her. These where tell tell signs of a partnership, which most definatley got under her skin.
"Look Xeldine I don't have time for this", spoke Orcleous as he stopped outside of the room door. The champion face was covered with annoyance as he turned back and looked at the young maiden. "Do me a favor and go back and tell me pah I am in town. "
"What", spoke Xeldine with surprise. There was no way she was going to let Orcleous kick her out before she saw what was going on. "I will go after I see this mystery women. I am sure your mother would like to know", he spoke as she opened the door and walked into the room first. "Yo", spoke Xeldine as she walked in taking a good look at the blonde haired Claira. A frown covered her face as she looked the maiden up and down. "Mediocre", she whispered to herself as Orcleous pushed his way into the room.
"Yo Claira are you feeling better", spoke the Champion as he walked in and set the food onto the table. Orcleous was worried for his little thief. Though she was the older one between the two. To be honest though he was surprise how bad it got. Maybe he was not paying attention to it, but she was in worse shape than he first imagined. "You should probably eat", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the maiden.

Laying in the bed seemed like forever for her to fall back to sleep. As Claira was about to drift off finally, she heard Orcleous walking and was talking to someone. The other voice, female and young by the sound of her tone.Slowly sitting up in bed, she had her feet now on the wooden floor when she heard Orcleous tell the female to get his pah. The Thief began to think. "Is that...a friend of his or even...lover?" The thought would have to wait because the door opened and a young dark red haired female walked in with sword on hip. Raising a brow, she studied her and saw her lips move. Usually when a female whispers to herself after seeing another female, it meant she was talking ill of her. Something she was going to call on.
Before she was going to, Orcleous shoved himself past the female. A smile came across Claira's face when he asked her how she was feeling. Forcing herself to stand and a few joints cracking, she walked ish over to him and hugged him. "A bit better now you are here Orcleous." Her eyes went from him to the plate that had what was left of the roasted duck. After taking her arms off him, she would take the plate back to the bed. Leaving her back to this unknown female she yet has no name for. Wincing a bit as her ribs shot another jolt of pain throughout her body. But she had to play the strong female a bit longer. Sitting down, she ripped off a leg and took a big bite of of it. Chewing for a bit then swallowed. Her Jade colored eyes looked at the girl, then back to Orcleous.
"Aren't you going to introduce us Orcleous? It be rude not to. Don't want to miss meeting your friends and those you have close to you." A smile came back as she fought rather hard not to show that she was in a lot of pain. Taking another bite, she kept her eyes on the girl now. A bad feeling was in her gut. Setting the leg down onto the plate, Claira would lick her fingers and sit there waiting for Orcleous.

Xeldine did not like her. The maiden had already decided that before entering the room. The way Orcleous and the doctor spoke she figured the women would be bed ridden, but she seemed to be putting on a good act. Still Xeldine wondered what kind of relationship the two of them had and her sudden hug of Orcleous told her all she needed to know. Naturally Xeldine would say or do something to get back at the maiden ,but Orcleous opened his mouth before she had the opportunity.
"You should still be in bed", spoke Orcleous as he looked at Claira. "I understand you don't want to look weak in all, but after what the doctor told me I am seriously worried. I don't need hugs, especially when I am the main cause of it", spoke Orcleous as he rubbed the back of his head. The Champion coughed to clear his throat and change the subject.
"Right this is Xeldine", spoke Orcleous as he pointed toward the crimson pigtailed maiden.
"I can introduce myself", spoke Xeldine snarling at Orcleous. "My name is Xeldine and I am Orcleous apprentice. Me and him have been together since he came to Lycia.
"YOu mean since I visited Lycia that one time", spoke Orcleous correcting the maiden. "I have been to Lycia before I meet you. You where just there that one time I was going to investigate a rumor."
"Once, twice, it does not matter", spoke Xeldine. "The point is we have known each other for a good bit of time. He even went so far as to allow me to stay with his family."
"Bah", spoke Orcleous joining in on Xeldines rant. "Don't make it sounds so formal. I introduced you to my parents because I could not protect you from the crap crawling through Lycia. It was safer for you to stay in Bern and my family had both the resources and the need for another person in the house."
"Pshaw, you make it sound so formal", spoke Xelidne as she began to pout.
"It pretty much is", spoke Orcloeus as he placed his right hand on Xeldine's heard and began to messs up her hair. The maiden complained and such, but Orcleous tuned her out. "Anyway Claira, Xelinde here is my self appointed apprentice and pretty much little sister."
"Little sister", spoke Xeldine as she looked at Orcleous a bit disappointed.
"What", spoke Orcleous as he looked at her with a puzzled expression. "It is far better than cretin or munchkin."
"Bah! Your as dense as a block of marble", spoke Xelinde. Orcleous looked at her with a confused expression as he inquired upon her meaning.

Her eyes would go back and forth between the two as they talked. It was a bit humorous and a bit annoying. Sighing to herself, she simply had to endure this because she was a guest. She was starting to reach for the leg when she thought she heard the novice insulted Orcleous. Looking at her now, she had an idea shoot into her mind. And this plan, it was going to be priceless. Standing up again, Claira walked back over to Orcleous and looked up at him with her Jade eyes. Smiling a bit, she would say to him. "I'll be fine...some rest would be nice though." She hugged him again, but this time she leaned up to him. Moving his head for him to face her, Claira would kiss Orcleous. After a moment, she went back to standing.
"Go see your family and train your apprentice. You know where I'll be. Not like I'm gonna jump on a horse and leave you here. Never have and never will Orcleous." Turning her head, she faced the jealous novice with a smile. "It was nice meeting you. I hope we get the chance to sit down and talk some more. With that, I wish you safe travels til we meet again." Turning around again, she went for the bed and Sat back down in it. Covering her legs with the blanket as her back rested on the head board. Still smiling, the hand that the novice couldn't see had a death grip on the blanket and sheets.
From downstairs, the three could heard the bar keep saying over the crowd. "Ok, last orders of the night folks." A good amount of the people moaned a bit. The waitress from before walked into the room with a cup of water. The nice waitress set it down on the night stand and picked up the plate with the duck on it. "Doc asked me to bring in water for you incase Orc wasn't here at the Inn. Sleep well miss, I will see you tomorrow." And like that, she left the room. Claira began to think to herself, "I guess Bern isn't fully bad like how some people would spin a yarn. I could get use to living in this country. But what will u have to do with that novice of his though? Bah, I'll worry about that some other time. As for now...I need some bloody rest...body is killing me."

"Dense about what", spoke Orcleous as he looked at Xeldine. He had no idea what the maiden was talking about. Sometimes he wondered about her. She had a nasty personality that was for sure, but a lot of it Orcleous chalked up to the incident she survived. Because of that he let her get away with saying things he would normally not take. It has become a bit common place of late. Orcleous started to wonder if he should talk to her about that. However his train of thought was interrupted when Claira got out of bed and made her way toward him again. She looked at him with a look she had never done before. The sight made the Champion wonder what was going through her mind, but the maiden spoke before he could ask. Hugging onto him again Orcleous started to squirm up a bit. It was weird for him to have so much physical contact. Hugs where not big in a house filled with five men and one women. However that became the least of the things on Orcleous mind when Claira reached up and kissed him. It was a first for Orcleous and the mark that made Xeldine turn her head.
"Wa", spoke Orcleous. It was the only thing he could say. If he could blush Orcleous face would be as red as the sun. As Orcleous was a lost for words Xeline exploded. "What in the world", she shouted. During her uproar Orcleous took the moment to step out the room. The champion needed a moment to get his thoughts in order. What just happened", he thought to himself? "Why did that happen? Was the purpose real? Could this be what Xelidne was talking about?
Shortly after Orcleous walked outside to try and clear his thoughts Xelinde rushed out and ruined the moment. "Hey Orcleous what is going on between the two of you", she shouted ruining everyone's night. How did the two of you meet and what kind of relationship", demanded Xeldine seeking answers. The Champion did not want to think about it at the moment and it all seemed to just boil over.
"Leave me alone for a moment", spoke Orcleous as he forced his way down the hallway. Of course Xeldine did not listen and instead began to pound the questions on. Orcleous however had no intention of answering anything at the moment and instead walked back to the family farm in complete silence. The same could not be said about Xeldine. The maiden raged about this and began to make a plan of her own. Overall she sure was not going to let Claira get near Orcleous for a while.

While Claira laid there on the bed watching the expressions, she would smile until they both were in pain. When the girl left, she saw she forgotten to shut the door behind her. Rolling her jade colored eyes, Claira had to shut it. Getting out of the bed, the thief made her way to the door and shut it. The pain kept pulsing through out her body. But to make sure she doesn't have any unwanted visitors, she grabbed one of the plain wooden chairs in the room and slide it over to the door. Propping it against the door handle. It wasn't going to keep something out forever, but it would buy her enough time to wake up and prepare herself. Remembering something, she reached behind herself and felt the empty sheath for her Iron dagger. She had forgotten her weapon at the Old school house that she was training, and also gotten injured by Orcleousd's heavy hitting fist. Letting out a sigh, she went back to the bed and sat at the edge of it just looking at the floor. Lightly talking to herself. "Should I have done that to him? Did I have to do that to Xeldine? Maybe they are more then just meer master and apprentice...did I cross a line that there is no turn from?"
Shaking her head a bit, she would stand up and walked over to a window and looked out it. Looking at the ground below, she could see the massive frame of the Champion walking through the street with the Novice tagging along with him, and most likely probing him for answers as to what is the deal with him and the thief. A smile crept over her face slightly as she said to herself. "Never apologize for anything that you enjoy. So I'm not going to apologize for that kiss...he is the first person I have ever kissed...he doesn't need to know that." Once he was gone from sight, she walked back to the bed. While making her trip back, she saw a mirror over a dresser. Stopping, she looked at herself for a bit. Lifting up the red shirt, she began to undo her bandages. The thief wanted to see how bad it was. As the bandages came off, she could see where he had hit her. The imprint of his first was clear as day as it was black, blue and swollen badly. Frowning a bit, she had to bandage it back up. Doing the best as she could, she had it almost how it was, but it was now a bit shorter then how it was. Now back into bed, she began to think to herself for a bit more.
"I hope he isn't mad at me for kissing him." Slowly, sleep began to fall upon her as she gotten comfy as best as she could. Laying there, she began to have her requiring nightmare. OF the slavers, the town she was born in up in flames. Then of the man chasing her. The one called Papa. Day would break soon, and she will still be asleep. The sun would shine over her face as she was curled up into a ball on the bed. Click, click, click. Her eyes opened slowly as someone was trying to open the door. Sitting up and getting out of bed as fast as she could, she limped over to the door. "W-who is it?" Claira would ask out loud with a foot propped on the door making it have more pressure against the door. Waiting for a response, she waited. IF it was Doc, Orcleous or the waitress from last night she would open the door. If not, then she would keep the door blocked with the chair, giving her time to get tot he window.

That night was a night to remember for Orcleous and it was not necessary for a good thing. With Claira taking the inn room Orcleous was forced to sleep in his parents house. Normally this would not be such a bad thing. However in this situation it was. The moment Orcleous came home he was bombarded with a thousand questions. His brother wanted to know why he was back so early. His mother wanted to know who was the maiden he came into town with. His father wanted to know about the rumor of her injuries being caused by him and Xeldine kept asking him questions about there relationship. To make things worse his two younger brothers had moved his spare suit of armor he left here last time so Orcleous had to spend half the night looking for that as well. Sleep that day did not come from sweet dreams or loving moments, but rather from exhaustion from the great pull of family.
As Orcleous awoke from his slumber he was first meet by his older brother. The two took a moment to have a small conversation. His father had some concerns about the information coming out of Lycia and as a result he had something to give his son. However the fields would not handle themselves, so instead of giving it to Orcleous himself he let his older brother handle it. He would see him later that night when everyone gathered for dinner. Well that is what he told Orcleous and Theokoles. In truth the old man wanted to see and meet this maiden himself. However he had no idea what the maiden looked like or which room she was in. So instead of simply checking every room at random he waited patiently for the doctor to come and tag along with him.
"Excuse me", spoke the Doctor as he sat outside the room. Seeing that the door was locked he figured Claira had probably attached some extra lock instead of placing a chair in front of the door. "I came to check up on you. I needed to make sure your wounds did not open up."
As the duo prepared to enter into the room Orcleous made his way back to the inn. His conversation with his brother was enlightening to say the least and a shinny new tow was straddled across his hip.

Hearing Doc's voice, she put the chair to side of the door now and opened the door slightly. Holding her side, she went back and Sat down on the edge of the bed again? Seeing the Doctor and another older man walking in? Tilting her head, she looked up at the man and asked, "I'm sorry sir, but I don't know you. May I ask why are you in here? The doctor began to check her injuries. Seeing that the bandages were moved a bit, he would look at her. Having to unwrap the bandages to check the wound, the massive fist shaped bruise was visible to Orcleous's father.
"Had to look at it eh? See what you expected Claira?" Claira would bid her head slightly but watched the other man. He looked sorta familiar as if he was an older version of someone else she knew. Every now and then, she would look out the door expecting to see Orcleous to come walking in, but he didn't. Sighing slightly. But winced badly when doc touched her ribs. It was more like a jab then gently checking. "Gaaah! Easy there Doc. Ribs still hurt. And yeah, had to see first hand on how badly they were...it will remind me to be more careful when training." The old Doctor wrapped her ribs again carefully. He then checked her left shoulder seeing that it was starting to heal.
"Looks like the shoulder is healing fine, but I'm a bit worried still about your ribs young one. And training eh? A bad choice of attack on your end right which left you opened. Be thankful your not dead. But there is something I want to know." Claira looked at the doctor as he stepped back from her to face his patient. The Thief had a feeling on what he wanted to know since he was the one who is treating her. Sighing, she replied. "Ask away Doc." The old doctor nodded his head and asked. "The two raven brands you have on your body, are they Slave brands?" Claira simply nodded her head. She didn't want to say anything about it.

"Oh right", spoke the Doctor as he turned around and looked at Orcleous father. "This is ..."
"I will introduce myself", spoke the aged man as he looked at the young maiden. "My name is Mars. Mars Isengaurd, I am the father of Orcleous. I apologize on behalf of my son for your injuries. The boy knows better than to go around punching people, women most of all." As the old farmer spoke the doctor chimed back in with his question about the brand. The very fact made Mr. Mars raise a eyebrow. He had no idea about the maiden's past and Orcleous gave them all so little information about here the night before. Now hearing about this and looking at her condition he began to wonder if Orcleous knew this and if this had something to do with her injury. He was orcleous father after all and he raised him to be a decent man. However Orcleous had been a mercenary for a while now. He was not so sure how his son's morals where. Could Orcleous have ..."
"Excuse me, but if you don't mind me asking", spoke the farmer. "How did you and Orcleous meet each other again", he spoke.
"Through a series of random events", spoke a voice as Orcleous walked into the room. The champion had a new sword on his hip and a set of crimson armor dawning his chest. He looked at his father with both a look of puzzlement and scrutiny. 'Why in the world is he here', thought Orcleous to himself. However he kept those words to himself and found himself a place in the corner of the room. "Morning Claira", he spoke as he let the doctor finish his words.
"I think we are done here for the day", spoke the doctor. As he walked out the room Orcleous followed and paid him his medical fee. After that he walked back into the room with his father looking at him almost if he was trying to look through him.
"So, how did the two of you meet again", spoke the man. His stern look caught Orcleous off guard a bit. The champion had no idea about the conversation that happened beforehand. For him it looked as if his father was trying to find out something that he had no idea about.
"We meet on the road", spoke Orcleous as his mind began to think back. To be honest he really forgot all the major details. He remembered running into her by accident and killing a group of slavers. That was pretty much it. The fine details where left to the wind.
"Hey Orcleous", spoke a voice as the red headed twin tail maiden walked herself into the room. Her presence destroyed the tension in the air. Pushing into the room she gave Claira a stink eye on the side and moved over to grab Orcleous arm. "Hey Orcleous how about you show me a few skills with the sword. Before you left last time you mentioned something about half swording right. well how about you show me that instead of simply standing here."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa", spoke Orcleous trying to calm Xeldine down. There where three things going on here at one time and Orcleous was trying to gain control over it. His father had a concern, that he knew nothing about. He needed to check in on Raven, and now Xeldine was trying to pull him out of the room.

Claira was about to answer Mr. Isengard until Orcleous came in. Smiling when he said good morning to her. "Morning Orcleous. And to answer your question, We ran into each other when Zimbabwe was fleeing from slavers. I ran into him and he protected me in Etruria. Ever since then, I've been at his side. We fought together and bled together. And please don't be mad at your son Mr. Isengard, we were training together when I did a bad move. I guess his reflexes kicked in and hit me in the side. I know he didn't mean to injury me."
That's when she saw the annoying novice trying her best to get Orcleous out of the room by wrapping her arms around his one arm. Smiling still, she addressed him. "Orcleous, go train. I'll be down for a long while. Your father will keep me company. I'd like to know more about you and your family Mr. Isengard, if that isn't any trouble to you sir. Don't want to hold you up if you got things planned today." Her eyes went from Orcleous to Mar 's when she made her request. Before Orc could leave, Claira said out loud. "Oh and Orcleous? Could you find me a new dagger? I lost my old one back at the school house. Please?" Once they were gone and the door shut, she let out a sigh.
"I'll tell you a bit of my past Mr.Isengard. I'm originally from Sacae. Me and my tribe were constantly on the move like the other tribes. At the age of 9, they made their minds up and decided to make a village since the older generations were having troubles packing and moving. One day, after I turned 12 a band of Slavers came to our village. Rounded up all the children and took us away. We all got branded when we reached our destination. I was the only one to be branded the Raven. After being tortured up until I was 18, I killed the guard who scarred my right arm.I got away and been on the run from them for a little over ten years now." Looking down, she continued. " One day, I was running for a few days without rest. I ran right into the back of your son. When I past out, I woke up two days later. Your son was taking care of me and protected me from the slavers who were chasing me."

So that was what that was all about, thought Orcleous as he heard Claira talk about her injury. He should have guessed. His father was a very stern man and finding out his son injured a young maiden probably did not sit well with him. Though his questioning on how they meet was still weird. However Orcleous had to deal with Xeldine at the moment. The maiden was bothering him more since yesterday. Part of him cursed Claira for this. She started this wild fire. Though thinking back on the moment made Orcleous pause for a moment. What in the world is going on, thought the Champion as he walked outside of the inn. A kiss was something you just did not do on the fly. So why did she do it and what did it really mean? Orcleous had a lot of thoughts on his mind, but the Champion was distracted by his self appointed apprentice.
Back in the room Mars simply sat back and listen to the women's words. He was revealed to find out his son had nothing to do with the brands and at the same time he was proud to hear what Orcleous did. However that raised a lot of questions he was going to have to ask Orcleous later. However at the time he was focusing on the maiden's tale. It was a sad one. One of hardship and suffering. It seemed that Orlcoeus was at the right place and at the right time to change her life.
"I see", spoke the old farmer after she finished talking. "Well I am both mortified and relieved at the same time. On one hand your tale is horrific, but on the other I see that my son retains some of his honor. For the longest time I worried that my son would become a worthless murder who kills for his own greed. However after hearing your story I realize that that is not true."
----- "So are you going to show me how to fight or not", spoke Xeldine as she pulled on the back of Orcleous shirt. The champion was originally going to go buy the dagger first, but ultimately decided to stop and deal with the maiden's annoying request.
"Fine, fine", spoke Orcleous as he looked around and saw a open plot of land. The area belonged to Miss Cooper. The aged madien and Orcleous have known each other since he was a little pup so he knew she would not mind him standing on it and showing the young red head a few moves. Walking over to the grass Orcleus drew his new longsword. The blade shinned with a magical light which grabbed the attention of Xeldine.
"Hey is that a magical sword", she spoke, but Orcleous had no intention of going into detail about it.
"Focus", he shouted as he placed his hands on the blade. The motion caused Xeldine to look at him with surprise. Wrapping his fingers just around the edge of the blade Orcleous held the sword wrong side around. "Listen up I am about to show you how to half sword".
"You half sword by grabbing the sword by the blade", she spoke with disbelief.
"No", spoke Orcleous bluntly. "You half sword by wrapping your fingers around the edge of your blade. You don't actually touch the edge. If you did you would cut yourself when you swung."
"So what is the point in grabbing the sword by the edge. Are you not suppose to cut with that part?"
"Yes you are", spoke Orcleous. "However sometimes cutting is ineffective. However you still need to kill your opponent with your sword. Thus is why half swording was invented. They are techniques designed to pierce through plate armor and kill the man under it."
"So your going to pierce them by using what exactly", spoke Xeldine as she looked at Orcleous holding the sword. The champion looked at her and gave off a sigh.
"Watch and learn", spoke the Champion as he rushed forward and swung the sword as if it was a hammer. The pointed ends of the cross guard came down like a hammer head and fell into the earth. "You see you strike with the cross gaurd like a hammer. That way you can get underneath steel plated armoer."
"Oh", spoke Xeldine as it all began to stick. The maiden drew her longsword and grabbed the edges the same way Orcleous did. If there was one thing Orcleous had to say about the maiden it was that she was a quick learner. "So Orcleous", she spoke as she looked at the sword. "Are you and her in that kind of relationship."
Her words caught the Champion off guard for a moment. "Wait what", spoke Orcleous. He expected her to be asking questions about the technique or about swordsmanship in general. Not asking him about his relationship with his partner.

Looking up at him, she was glad she was able to ease some tention from Mars about his son. Right place and right time was true in every aspects of that day. A single tear slid down her face and she quickly wiped it away. It was nice to see that his father was proud of Orc for his new choice he made in helping the thief. "He's a great man Mr. Isengard. Got a big heart and my savior. If it wasn't for him, I'd be dead by those slavers. I'm very happy to have met him sir." Wiping another tear from her face. "I'm sorry sir for being emotional in front of you. Please, tell me about yourself." Getting herself into a comfortable position was hard for her due to her ribs. With her left arm wrapped around the front of her body, she watched him waiting to hear his tale. The waitress walked up into the room.
In her hands was a plate that had a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of milk. "Morning Ms. Claira and Mr. Isengard. I have breakfast for you." Setting the plate onto the bed, the waitress then said. "If you need anything, just shout down. I'll be downstairs as usual." With a smile, the waitress left the room and shut the door behind her. Claira looked at the oatmeal and took a small spoonful of it. Eating a little bit Anand sipped some of the milk. Holding the cup, she watched the old farmer in the chair. It was an odd feeling to have your new partners father take some interest in you and sit in the same room to get information from you. She began to think.
"I can see he's worried for his son. I wonder how my tribe is doing. Been a very long time since I seen my mother and father. But I'm glad to see Orc back with his family again. One shouldn't be away from their family foe to long. Because you never know if they will pass on. Mr. Isengard shows so much love for his family." Thinking of it, tears began to form in her eyes as she listened carefully to him, making sure she doesn't cut into his story and interrupt him. But she did wonder how Orc was turning out with Xeldin.

"NO we are not in THAT kind of relationship", spoke Orcleous as he began to walk over toward the maiden. As he expected Xeldine dropped her focus and lighten her grip on the sword. The blade eventually started to slide and naturally Xeldine let it go and allowed the tip of the sword to stab into the ground.
"Crap", she spoke as she stepped back. As Orcleous walked up to her the maiden looked up to him and stared into his eyes. There was some none verbal communication there, but Orcleous did not catch it.
"Careful with the sword or you are going to cut yourself", spoke the Champion as he picked the blade up. Turning the blade over and aiming the hilt of the sword back toward her Orcleous waited for her to grab the sword. A frown crossed her face as she looked at Orcleous again.
"You are really as dense as stone", she spoke as she took the sword.
"I am not dense", spoke Orcleous as he sheathed his new sword. "I am just selective about what I hear", he spoke as he began to walk back toward the market.
"Wait, what", spoke Xeldine as Orcleous walked away. "So your trying to say that you have picked up on all the hints till now."
"I am going to the market to buy a new dagger. If you are coming come if not practice your half swording", spoke Orcleous walking off.
"Hey Orcleous wait a minute", spoke Xeldine as she followed behind. The Champion tuned her out as he made his way to the market. He was going to need to pick out a dagger that was combat effective. Not just any weapon would work after all.

Mr. Isengaurd looked at the maiden for a moment as he began to lean back into his chair. She wanted to know a little bit more about himself. It was only fair, thought he never really liked talking about himself. "Well I am really just your average substance farmer. I grow enough to feed my family and maybe a little bit more to make some extra coin. I have a bit of respect in the community and I have four sons. To be honest I have never held a sword in my life, but I have fought with a axe before, but that was a very long time ago. It was never in battle though. It was against wolves. In a way I am a lucky man. I have never been at the point of the sword, nor have I ever had to place anyone else at the point of a blade. I live by a very strict moral code and as a result I live in peace with my neighbors. The only thing I have ever been ashamed of was forcing one of my sons to leave the family far. However it had to be done. There was not enough food for everyone and he had no ties to keep him bound. Other than that I have lived my life with no regrets so far."
