Since the fall of Ostia by Etruria a minor territory, Cornwell, had became displeased with the Lycian League and the way things had been handled. They had denounced, their Lycian League ties and broke off to become an independent nation within Lycia, with their departure from Lycia their central government had dissolved in favor of what they had called 'The Union'. The Union, as well as the nation as a whole, was ran by the rapidly gaining Guilds in Lycia. Those who chose to remain in Cornwell or relocate to it had lost their Lycian citizenship while those who wanted to keep it was able to move to another territory. Cynthia Wood was appointed the leader of the Union, their job was to regulate groups looking to form a guild as well as current guilds. If a guild were to have a dispute with another guild, they took their issue to the Union to have it solved. There is a group working against Cynthia in the shadows that hasn't revealed themselves.
Despite the dislike guilds and Cornwell had gained from the Lycian nobles, the people felt the same about guilds as the rest of Elibe, most of them were welcomed as long as they provided aid. Guilds will have their own fame which will be tracked in the Known Guilds thread. Their fame/infamy ranking works the same as character fame/infamy but doesn't reward titles.
Fame/Infamy 1: People begin to recognize the guild's name if spoken. Rewards; Fame: They're allowed a single room within the main guild's hall that was once the castle in Cornwell. Infamy: The sewer system has been pretty dry, with small amounts of water the 'rooms' have been unused for the most part. Guilds dealing with the darker side of guild work is granted one of them.
Fame/Infamy 2: Most guilds have a symbol for people to easily recognize fellow guild members or other guilds. People have taken notice to them and are more willing to buy them a drink or a meal. Reward for both: You're starting to become noticed, the guild may be getting larger for a single room to hold meetings. You gain a small 2 bedroom house for meetings.
Fame/Infamy 3: Certain members may have gained noticed by people based on their role in the jobs they've taken. Reward: the small house cannot hold even a half of the guild's members at any given moment. From the jobs they've taken they're able to afford a medium sized building that decent merchants are able to afford.
Fame/Infamy 4: Higher ranked members have their own fan clubs, and even lower ranked members are known by name. Reward: The newest guild location is a small fortress.
Fame/Infamy 5: Nobles across Elibe understands the importance of this guild and will seek them when needed. Reward: Missions will be assigned to the guild based on their type and fame/infamy by the mods.
Side note: anything thread marked with [Guild Name] will be considered for how Elibe views them. As a guild's fame/infamy grows the more members they seem to have, NPC wise.
