As Satan Claw's sled fly across the Elibe skies there was a trail of snowfall in it's wake. His dreaded laugh filled the ears of those below him, his route took him all over Elibe to make his presence known once again before arriving to Bern. Before he had even reached the capital the skies above the city turned gray as a chill filled the air, snow had already began to fall. There was a light dusting across the city by time he had arrived to the arena. His sled landing in the center he let out his laugh once again, " Ho ho ho ha ha ha!" Pulling a satchel from his side he pulled out a hand full of black and red peppermints and threw them onto the ground in front of his sled. Pulling from the large sack to his side he brought out a snow globe with the arena in the center giving it a great shake. The snow fall had picked up to a near white out for a few minutes increasing the dusting to a few inches of snow across the entire arena, in moments there had been movement where the peppermints had landed and his elves had crawled out letting out a sick giggle. " Go, play in the snow for a bit before they arrive." he said in a deep voice. The elves wasted no time building snowmen. Throwing a bag to one of the elves they took it and began to spread the snow like powder bringing them to life. Satan Claws leaned back in his seat, just sitting there waiting for the so call heroes to show up.

Overcast skies led to snowfall. The pirate felt a chill, to which he was unaccustomed. Perhaps he should have worn a shirt under the turquoise coat he had recently started wearing. Hopefully it wouldn’t matter all that much. Gar didn’t know the area well but he knew one thing, a designated battleground stood before him. An arena? Are you sure this is the place June? The white, winged axe pulsed at Gar’s hip, speaking it's response directly into Gar's head.I’m certain. But I agree, something seems amiss. Gar shrugged and began his approach toward the large coliseum. It certainly brought back memories. Gambling, fighting, winning and losing. For some reason Gar remembered them all fondly. He was practically grinning by the time he entered the snow filled arena.
It was difficult to see through the apparent blizzard, but he witnessed creations of snow, like those children made, only more ominous. Jagged ice for fangs and menacing faces, Gar could tell they weren’t here for play time. A couple turned toward him and began to slide along the snow covered ground. I can’t guarantee my power can intimidate those creatures. But I can still inspire you and any allies that may show up. Gar rolled his neck leading to a few cracks. He hefted his magical weapon and let it land on his shoulder. “Hahar. I think I can handle a couple men made of snow.” That said, Gar was less certain about the small creatures that were messing around in the snow. Not to mention the sleigh riding, sack toting man in the center of the arena.
Gar decided he would have to cross that bridge when he came to it. The snowmen were closing in and it was time to battle. Gar gripped the holy axe and it gave off a yellow glow. The light reflected off the snowmen, luckily it wasn’t so bright to blind Gar. Junzentaru did bolster Gar’s strength, however. His first strike was a horizontal cut across the snowman’s midsection. It was met with little resistance, which threw Gar’s balance off. He let out a small noise of surprise before stumbling and falling into the snow. The snowman with a cut and one other one continued to pursue the snow covered pirate. Geez is there any terrain I’m worse in than snow? Sea legs and all, snow and ice still messed with his balance. Gar rose with Junzentaru in hand.
He raised the axe above his head and cut the snowman vertically in half, burying one of Junzentaru’s wings in the snow. The snowman returned to the form from which it was born, crumpling to the ground. Gar called out to the enemies that he had come this far so meet. “Hahar I may as well raise a black flag. This feels like a raid!”

This was it. This was the moment. All of her time and research here in the arena had come to fruition. The beast had arrived just as she predicted. A terrible humanoid monster that spawned others to do its bidding. A creature that rode a sled held aloft by magic. Pulled by two wingless black pegsai. She had heard the stories. A creature so cold and dark it allows for manipulation of the sky. It brings a terrible frost of snow in its wake. Terrible imps that torment those caught in its sights. And now she was here to witness the horrors of this monstrosity first hand.
And it seemed the stories were true. The monster brought with it practically everything that the townsfolk said it would. Mila watched as it spawned fourth it's imps and saw how they crafted more monsters made of snow. The woman would have been content to watch and document the master of evil, but she had a job to do. She knew that a creature so full of dark magic needed to be put down. Those monsters needed to die so that humans could keep living here. Perhaps she'd have to settle for the dissectionion corpses left behind.
A man with a holy axe was the first to challenge the call of the beast. And she was behind him. She called from her Trinity tome fire to melt holes into the ice men. She had come prepared for the cold. Her furs and cloak were buttoned up well. She also had on a set of goggles to protect her eyes. An orb of fire manifested itself over her hand and she launched it at the closest snow man too her. The orb of fire sailed through the snow man's lower half like a hot knife through butter. But, that did not seem to end the beast. No, it merely kept coming at her trudging through the snow as if nothing happened. Mila focused once again, this time she sent the ball of fire at the snow man's head. This time the moving mass of snow crumbled into powder. She let out a slightly relieved sigh.
She couldn't relax now. There were still so many more enemies to fight.

"We have to hurry", spoke Shugo as he rached down and rubbed the side of his trusty companion Luna. His Lavender eyes stared out toward the arena. A fire burned inside of his belly as he prepared himself for what was to come. Shugo had always aliened himself with justice. With the death of his parents Shugo had been wondering the world trying to prevent others from sharing his same fate. This creature, this Santa Claws, it was an abomination of the highest order. Its very presence would cause the death of countless individuals. Shugo could not stand by and watch. Once he heard the rumors of him he came, and during his flight to the arena he had caught a glimps of the beast chariot. Wyverns would be needed in this battle, that was obvious. Shugo was here to answer the call.
"Lets go down Luna", spoke Shugo as he tapped the top of the albino wyvern's head. Luna dropped into a dive bomb falling from the grey sky and descending toward the white earth. The world began to blur for a moment as the duo picked up speed. However Luna shifted her wings and the wind began to blow underneath them. The duo turned upward into a loop heading back up into the sky. The motion had broken there momentum ten feet above the ground and allowed the duo to strike without the danger of death by falling. Closing her wings Luna fell to the earth. The massive Wyvern slammed into one of the sliding snow men. Her body smashed the creature back into a pile of frozen water droplets and allowed the young warrior to dismount.
"Alright it is Clobbering Time", shouted Shuo as he jumped off Luna's back and plopped right into the snow. His crimson helmet covered his face and his blood red armor shinned in the new morning snow. Right off the bat he was faced with the ferocity of a angry snow man, but aid came in the form of a charging pirate and a spell shooting mage.
A snow man rushed forward and charged the young Shugo. The battle harden lad was ready for the assault however. The beast slid forward ready to close the gap, but Shuo extended his spear right into the monsters path. The spear tip slid clean though the monster and came out the other end. For a normal beast this would be the end. However this was a snow man. The beast remained completely unfazed by Shuo's attack. The action caught the young warrior off guard. The snow man grabbed onto Shugo with a icy grip that began to bleed the life out of him.
"Let me go", shouted Shugo as he attempted to struggle. His first reaction was to twist his dragon spear, but that weapon had no effect on the beast. It's hands began to drain the heat from his young body and it's snow muscle began to crush his bones. Opening it's mouth the snow monster began to prepare to take a bite out of the young rider. However a sudden shower of yellow liquid caused the snow man to partial melt and it's chilling grip to release. Shugo, fortunately unsprayed by the attack, looked back to see Luna lifting one of her scaly legs. Shugo had once again owed her his life. Something that he was now very use to.

Fargus entered the arena with his bow drawn. He spotted multiple people alright engaged in combat with various snow creatures across the arena. He pointed his bow at one of the strange snow creatures and fired an arrow at the creature. The arrow merely lodged itself in the snow creatures upper torso as it then turned and charged at Fargus. He drew again and fired another arrow at the snow creature, this time hitting it in the head. The creature began to slow, and then slumped over and collapsed.
Fargus nocked another arrow on his bow and looked around. He saw what looked to be a man with a strange axe slicing through the snow creatures, a powerful mage using her fire to destroy more creatures, and what looked to be another man and his wyvern tearing through the creatures. Fargus pointed his bow at another creature and took aim. "Is that the best you got?" Fargus said as he then fired his arrow at another snow creature. His arrow hit the snow creature in the lower torso and stuck out. The creature turned and ran right at Fargus. He got tackled by the snow creature and flew back. Fargus got up slowly and fired his arrow at the creature, managing a shot on the creatures head as it then crumbled back into snow.
Fargus grinned slightly as he nocked another arrow and looked around. "Heh, their nothing more but target practice. Is this really all they got? Fargus said tauntingly. He then nocked another arrow and stood up, searching for another target to shoot.

The arena was cold, the chill causing the assassin's breath to hang in a tiny cloud as he exhaled, walking through the gateway into the 'central stage' from the tunnel. Instantly, his senses were flooded with sensory information, a veritable overload of light and sound. He carefully took stock, examining the scene, a smile bursting out upon his face as he did so. For some reason, he felt a strong sense of deja-vu, but he shook the useless thought from his mind and focused on the important particulars.
There was a large group of short, fiendish elves and bulky, devilish snowmen besieging a tiny group of fighters who appeared to be more humanoid. One was a Wyvern Rider, an exceptionally young specimen, who before the assassin's eyes leaped into the fray with an odd battle yell. "Clobbering Time," hmm? Where had he heard that before? But that was enough nonsense. It looked like he and his mount were handling a snowman on their own without too much of an issue. Of course, with so many enemies, it would be easy to get swarmed. Interesting, then, that the Rider fought dismounted. Perhaps he hadn't quite gotten the hang of mounted combat, what with his youth and all of that.
The next combatant was a rough-and-tumble, built-to-last type, who was wielding a fine axe. The weapon was clearly well-crafted, and Ryuzaki swore it was glowing. How interesting. Perhaps he was a fellow user of magical weaponry. Regardless, Ryuzaki admired how he fought the snowman, marveling at his poise and the force he invested into a stroke. He was definitely experienced. In other circumstances, the assassin might have savored a duel. Of course, he would probably win, with his superior speed and the power of his hidden abilities, but a good fight was a good fight, regardless of outcome. As the axe glowed once more, Ryuzaki suddenly felt...stronger. More invigorated. More focused. He did not feel physically altered... But he was filled with newfound confidence. Yes; undoubtedly the Berserker wielded a magical weapon.
And the final fighter? The assassin laughed, a bright, happy outburst. But of course. It was too coincidental to take seriously. Indeed, this was a happy twist of fate, and a most certainly opportune chance to ingratiate himself, to paint a good image of himself and prove his worth. Why, of course she was here. It had to be some sort of impossibly improbable whim of Fate and Fortune.
The assassin took off, his feet barely seeming to hit the ground, the sharp sound of his boots upon the frigid snow as uniform and crisp as a drumbeat, and his arm reaching down to his waist as he approached. He was intending for a less dramatic entrance, but the sight of one of the small beasts leaping at his target forced him into action; Ryuzaki leaped forwards, drawing Gemini and slashing with the weapon's razor blade as he flew through the air, coming from behind the young woman and across her body to intercept the airborne elf with a neat slash that split it in two, sending the chunks off to the sides and leaving not a drop of blood on the woman's attire as the assassin skidded past, turning as he came to a halt upon the slippery grass and bowing slightly, extending his sword outward and down in a diagonal as he greeted her politely, but with a wholly uncharacteristic and unquenchable smile upon his face.
"Mila! Good to see you. Straight to work as always, I gather... But hey, why not enjoy yourself? Let's work together, grouping up like we did before. It'll be more fun if we fight as a team!"
The assassin gave a short, happy laugh. It didn't matter that there were large numbers of angry creatures surrounding them. This would be a great fight.

“ST. ELMINE’S FIRE IT’S COLD!” The silver tongued mercenary screamed as he entered the area. Even in the fur lined shirt pants that he wore under his armor, he could feel the intensity of the cold. Like winter in Perun’s valley. Fragarach was already in his grasp and his targe was on his arm. Donovan, you must shield out the cold. Close your mind to it. These people need protection and leadership if they are to take down the Satan Claws. Don shook his head. “They’ll be able to handle themselves. If we take out the weaker enemies first, we should be able to handle the big man as one.”
The little devils were everywhere, focusing on creating more snowmen. It seemed to Donovan that if no one spent any time focusing on the elves, they’d quickly become overwhelmed by the balls of snow. “Lords above, how in the world is this actually my life right now?” The mercenary's voice was resigned. He walked from the edge of the arena and felt a pull from Fragarach as the blade read his intentions. A wise choice, Liar. Many of my wielders learned that brute force is often second to clever application. Unfortunately, most of them learned that lesson fatally. Interacting with the blade so formally was still strange, as Donovan did not so much hear the thoughts as they did appear within his mind as if they were always there to begin with. Instantaneously.
He swung the ancient sword and a tornado tore from the sword, focusing on disrupting the elves who were avoiding the melee to create more snow men. The twister stopped several snowmen from being formed and picked up 5 of the elves as it made its way through. As the sword lost it’s hold over the magic, the tornado spurted and died. The 5 elves shot forth like from a rocket. 3 landed head on into a snow bank, quickly popping up with grimacing faces and a put out disposition. A fourth flung face first against the wall. It’s peppermint skull cracked open and the creature was soon no more than a splat of liquid chocolate on the wall. The final elf shot into a snow man approaching Mila and the slightly too excited assassin. The snow man kept approaching, though the Elf lodged in it’s stomach kept scooping up snow, making the creature larger and larger until it was twice the size of the other Snow Men. Shall we get into the thick of it, then, Liar? “I think we shall, Prude.” Don swung Fragarach at the ground and a forceful blast of air sent him skyward. He pushed gusts of air out of the sword as he approached the ground near Mila and the assassin, slowing his decent. Though not as much as he should have. He was still getting the hang of that trick. Thankfully the snow was thick and he landed in a rather fluffy patch. The Silver Tongue popped back up, 6 inches of snow mountaineer atop his head, and readied his blade against this large foe, next to his old friend and this new ally. “I think I’m going to name this one Frosty.”

Ravvus' eyes fluttered open, blinking several times as the mage gained consciousness. Where was he? He found himself wet, sitting in an upright position upon a stone bench. Surrounding him was sand-colored architecture peaking out underneath a white blanket. Directly in front of the mage was a circular pit where various warriors were doing battle with white monsters. The mage could tell he was in a snow-blanketed colosseum, that much was apparent. But where specifically was this colosseum? Was this Ilia, Vinland? Etruria and Bern didn't get snow, did they? What were those warriors fighting? How did Ravvus even get in the colosseum? The last thing the aspiring mage remembered was boarding a ship headed for Vinland. There was that talk he had with Dahlia, then he returned to his cabin and retired for the night. And now he was-
The mage's thoughts were cut off as one of the white creatures clambered into the audience section, clumsily making its' way towards him. Ravvus jumped to his feet and he withdrew Trinity from his travel satchel. The creature lumbered forward, taking a swing at him with a an awkwardly large wooden limb. Was it- Was this a living snowman? The mage leapt backwards landing on his feet. He was fortunate that there was no ice underneath the snow. Ravvus looked out at the arena and the fighters, then back to his opponent. Something about this... the concept of siccing animated snowmen on people... it all seemed like a prank Minerva would have drempt up.
Ravvus ignited an intense fireball in one hand and reached out, melting away his opponent. The white creature shrieked in agony, lunging forwards only to wither and diminish against the orb of heat. It's wooden limbs awkwardly fell to the colosseum floor as it's upper torso disintegrated. Ravvus pressed forward, reducing the snowy creature into a pair of legs before melting those too. He allowed the fireball to fizzle and fade. The mage's face was not one of fear, but of confusion. How did he get here? Who were those other fighters? Were these monsters supposed to be a threat?

Vincent had long desired to see the arena of Bern but this was something else entirely. He walked in calm and collected watching his breath appear as wisps before him and quickly fade into nothingness. 'Shall you take the center stage here?' he heard a familiar voice. Vincent smiled to himself, it had been quite a while since the blade spoke up. Was it his own mind reflected or the blade's spirit? He was still unsure, he had cause to believe both after so long. Maybe the confusion was just the melding of the two?
He looked about the arena taking it in. Monsters, friends, strangers, and opportunity. He began to laugh, monsters made of snow! He drew his silver lancereaver, Phoenix Claw, and unleashed Phoenix Heart from its casing. The divine magic licked up into a pale blue flame around itself and he looked at the monsters challengingly. 'Perhaps I can act as a beacon. I seem well suited to this fight. And the true monster waiting in the distance should not ignore me.' There was a pause as though the blade was thinking before he heard a soft reply. 'Well said.' The fire about the blade flared higher and lashed out at the ground.
"Just try it monsters!" Vincent charged one of the beasts made of living snow and with a cleave like butter he split the creature down the center as divine flame consumed what remained of it. His assault did not stop. He saw both Mila and Ryu, and... the last looked so familiar to him. Ah, that was it, he was the boy that called him a war hero! He certainly had grown... a lot. A duel seemed to be in order after this fight was through.
Seeing them he was not going to let these small fry stand between him and the others. As he charged he passed an elf and gave it a punting kick to the face. He was confident in his skills, his power, and most of all his friends, but he knew better than to get surrounded. "Mila Ryu! It's great to have the gang all back!" As he slowed his approach he faced the newly named 'Frosty' it was quite large now and had one of the elves trapped within its center.
'Let's free the poor sap shall we?'
'Let's'
As the force of will manifest blazed Vincent thrust his blade out toward the creature's center. He did not have control enough to outright destroy the monster yet but, the blue flames burst through the snowman creating a hole through its body where the elf once was. The holy magic lit the edges of the monster on fire as well threatening to consume it entirely, but not fast enough that it could not still do harm. The elf however was nowhere to be seen.
Readying for a proper counter attack Vincent put his back to the group to watch their rear, but he did so adding in a jab at his oldest rival. "Witness just how large my shadow can be." He wanted to fire up Ryu and get in a little friendly contest.

This was all wrong. Bryn stood rigidly in the arena and watched these various peoples of different origin and outlook communally come together to defeat the enemies in front of them. His body was cold, his unprepared fingers were numb, and he was missing his left shoe for some reason. He didn't feel any of this discomfort however. The sounds and sights of the world seemed dull and distorted and his body wasn't following his commands. Was this what it was like to wade too deep into the Nether? To slowly lose all sense of the world?
Searing pain hit Bryn's leg and suddenly the universe snapped back in focus. DAMN was his foot cold! What was he even thinking coming to this place!? Bryn spun around (to leave or to look for his forgotten footwear he hadn't yet decided) and then stumbled frantically backwards to avoid an oaken claw swipe for him. Quickly he tore open his satchel and his numb hands threw half of it's contents into the fresh snow in a desperate scramble for his Tome. This time the snowy abomination opened it's toothy maw wide and lunged hungrily for the flustered shaman, and it was all Bryn could do to throw himself out of the way. He fell down onto the snow and began a panicked crawl away from the creature until his numb left hand found the worn spine of an of old book in the snow.
Bryn flipped his body around and thrust out a hand at the snowman approaching him, judging the distance with a quick calculation before closing his eyes and letting the Nether flow through him. The snow around him swirled in a brief acknowledgement of his power before a small cantaloupe-sized orb materialized in the open mouth of the creature. Immediately, the ball grew two sizes, consuming the unholy snow before imploding in on itself, spraying the contents of the spell everywhere. Bryn let out a shaky sigh of relief.
"T-that wasn't so bad really. I was a bit ov-Aaagh!"
He cried in pain and in disbelief. The decapitation hadn't ended the abomination. An outstretched arm clumsily grasped hold of his freezing left leg, slicing effortlessly through his pants into the meat beneath. Adrenaline shot through him though, and this time his actions were smoother and more informed. Bryn set his numb palm onto the cold body of his assailant and concentrated. He could feel the Nether, feel his own swirling energy. Darkness seeped briefly out of the chest of the creature before consuming it in it's entirety. Then again, it imploded before spraying him with a hail of powdered snow and shards of wood. Bryn stood hurriedly, head darting back and forth, not allowing himself another moment of victory. This time it could be his last.

The snow crunched beneath the weight of a pair of red cavalry boots. The floor of the arena was sprouting monstrosity's but not the kind Elibe was accustomed to. These were far more... silly. Selibas Sacae didn't like to feel silly, and to fight such a silly monster was sure to make him feel just that. However, here he stood, walking through the snow, ready to feel like a buffoon when fighting against little men and soldiers of snow. Fine. As he made his way forward, the short Khan pulled the hilt of his magic sword free of its sheathe, the sword only having the appearance of an ancient hilt with an inch of jagged shattered steel where once there had been a blade.
'This is a mockery. The demon has made a farce of my homeland Selibas. You must cut him down with my very blade.' The spirit of Curtana had only recently begun to speak with him, but since it had the noble dawn had been the Little Wolf's constant companion. 'He's not walking out of here Huringren, don't worry.' A pair of snowmen began to make their way towards the Khan, and as they came he widened his stance. 'Thank you grandson.'
From Curtana's hilt came a flicker, then the phantom of the blade which once tore through the dragons erupted in golden light. The snowmen did not stop as the Khan was suddenly armed. A soft smile lit his lips. As a child, he'd always had to play by himself, and he'd wasted a lot of time freezing his ungloved hands building snowmen. It always tore at him to remember when he was simply a lonely runt, trailing behind his tribes on the plain. Now however things were different. He was a warrior, a Khan, a wolf.
The wolf had entered the Fray.
It only took one swing from Curtana to bring the first monster down, which struck Selibas. The shining blade was hot, and the magic of it could often cut through armor quicker than the steel of his other swords, yet it had never ended a man in one blow. His cut had struck through the central ball of snow, diagonally, and the top half had fallen backwards while the front half simply ceased to move. The other larger monster was slightly slower, and gave Selibas a few moments to back away as it made its approach. 'Ha! Verily the black hearts of these devils cannot withstand Curtana's light!'
'Verily.' Selibas raised Curtana and curled the hilt in his hand, sending a thin razor of light at the man of frost. It tore through the upper half of the demon's head, and sent a trail of hot water rushing down its coal lined face. It did not stop its assault, and the Khan decided that he would meet it head on.
Upon entering the range of his opponent, Selibas baited the cold beast, extending his left side. The snowman was taller than he was, and so when it attempted to swipe at the short swordsman, Selibas simply had to raise his shoulder slightly, and the arm of the ugly monster simply clanged against his wolf head pauldron. In the instant that the stick arm rang against Selibas' armor, the wolf rammed his golden sword through the Stomach of the monster, and once more ran his will through the sword, sending a sort of flare around the phantom blade as he tore upwards through the monsters head. His shoulder might be sore in the morning, but the snowman would not see tomorrow.
The snow fell harmlessly to the ground, and Selibas' head was set on a swivel. He spied a young boy, a Sacaen, with only a bow to protect himself. 'Why, he there is little more than a babe. Selibas, allow the death of that monstrous behemoth to stall, you must make certain that this young man makes it out of this with his life."
The short Khan gritted his teeth, but took off running for the young archer. He'd been around the boy's age when he'd first taken up the sword, and he would have probably fared worse with these monsters than the boy now did. His sword's conscious always spurred him to do the noble thing, and if Selibas refused, it would stop working. It was always good when the two were on the same page, and they were now. The Little Wolf would have likely helped any human against the monsters, but him being one so young and Sacaen only secured the Khan's aid that much more.
As soon as Selibas was in shouting distance he called out, "HEY KID! SEE THOSE FOUR?" Selibas thrust Curtana towards the Magi and the three swordsman around her. "GET OVER THERE AND DON'T LET ANY OF THESE THINGS GET TOO CLOSE TO YOU!" He didn't look at the boy for long enough to see if he listened, but prayed to the sky father that he would. Selibas made his way towards a group of Elves, four of them, who were working on making another Snowman of monstrous size. They were all four of them rolling a snowball taller than Selibas himself, and it looked to be only the base of the beast they were making.
With a swing of his blade the Khan sent a razor of light from Curtana that took one of the little fiends in the back, tearing its bright clothes and producing a line of blood that was a strange brown color. The elf fell to the ground, while the other three jumped and turned to look at the broad swordsman behind them.
Two of them sneered and ran towards Selibas with frightening speed. The other hung back, and began to work on another smaller snowman to aid the elves against this immediate threat. The Khan aimed a hard downward strike of his sword for the faster approaching elf, but the little bugger jumped to the right side of his mystic blade. As Selibas lifted Curtana, he tried to swing at the elf's companion, but was distracted when the first elf leaped onto his arm, and climbed to his shoulder.
The little b*****d tore from its belt a candy cane as sharp as a dagger, and drove it into Selibas' trap muscle. The Khan swore under his breath, and he used his left hand to pry the elf from his shoulder. He then used the squirming body of the pixy to bash the other elf down into the snow. Before they could rise, he rammed Curtana through the one that had stabbed him, the sword once more killing with a swiftness unfamiliar to the Khan. The other elf rose, and scurried away, with him, the elf that had been working on the smaller snowman left it unfinished and the two hurried off to let Selibas be swallowed by the snowmen they'd built earlier.
The Khan walked over to the massive snowball, and readied Curtana. Before he could attempt to churn and mell the icey mass, the elf he'd hit from a range stirred at his feet, and the Khan growled as he stomped on its throat. As the tiny beast attempted to wiggle out, the little wolf stuck his sword of light into the massive ball, and willed one of his thin beams of light that he'd practiced on the plain to tear through it. Tear through it did, and it spread enough heat that the ball began to melt and collapse, making the snow more difficult to use if another elf got ambitious.
The elf under Selibas' foot stopped moving, and once more the Khan began to search around him. There appeared to be more that needed help, and more that would need to be put down. 'Selibas, thine hand must tear through the icy heart of these frigid beasts if you long to keep these people safe.' Another smile split the Khan's lips, 'Verily.'

Life was a strange mistress.
There was this bird. A tiny thing. For some reason, in the distance, it had looked much more Taguel sized. Of-course, seeing a bird flying away from the island in such a linear direction that seemed like a Taguel had given Anzu a great sense of concern. There were many dangers within the ocean and the seas beyond. Let alone when they learned about this mysterious land to the far east that ignorant humans came from seeking fame or fortune or glory. However that bird had been...faster than Anzu. Only barely. So when the pale Taguel went soaring after the bird abruptly at maximum speed without so much as a word to his partner, it was with great frustration that the venture ended in failure. His focus so occupied on the pursuit that the passage of time was lost upon him, in all earnestness.
Time, and distance. When he first happened to glance downwards at the moment of admission to defeat he did not see vast rolling waves or tides. He did not see ships or sandy beaches of small islands littering the sea-line. Instead he saw mountains. Mountains and trees and things that an Ocean wasn't supposed to have. Not above the water at-least. He had clearly gone...just a tad too far. At this point though, he was committed. What ever he saw. What ever his avian eyes locked onto would have to be worthy of that pursuit. While in flight, he dared not shift to human form where his vision was worse and his flight slower. Not until he found that bird again.
Or...a giant stone construct.
A stone construct that had...snow falling within it.
Humans were strange. Their land was strange. Their weather was strange.
Perhaps it was a building to their gods? He couldn't be sure. However the sight within as he neared made him speculate otherwise. For within, he saw that familiar sight. Combat. People fighting. Humans using weapons instead of talons or beaks. He would perhaps never understand them, or their inability to bite and peck and rake. However among the chosen foe, with dancing trails of flame catching his attention he saw a familiar sight. A verdite shade of hair before a flare of magic. From high above within the frigid skies of Bern, a piercing cry split the sky. It echoed with unnatural loudness from the size of the monstrous white hawk before instantly shifting to a human form with pale white wings extending instantly to remain aloft. His gruff tone spoken so abruptly while addressing his partner as if naturally knowing she was right next to him and ready to continue despite their flight.
"I recognize some of these humans. They are fighting. I will help them. Come Nea, we fight!"
Instantly, Anzu fell from the sky.
One of the devious fiendish elves was swiftly constructing a "Snowman" near the cluster of figures that Mila was closer to. A cruel laugh upon murderous lips, and his completed murder beast nearly ready. Until a shadow cast upon him from above as he patted into shape the snowmans head.
His descent was similar to his normal bombastic approach to combat from above. Wings trailing above as the massive mound of muscle and feather and bone came crashing down a few feet away from the verdite haired mage Mila. A powerful but short ranged tremor shook the ground from the sheer force, and powdery snow scattered into the air in small mist like flurries as the snowman who had nearly reached completion was crushed by a descending hawk-man.
Before the dust could settle moments later, a strong limb extended through it, a hand gruffly clutching the head with solid digits that formed a dangerous claw latching upon the head of the Elf who had been building the snowman. Muscles ran tense, and Anzu shouted in his normal feral barbaric tone before whipping his arm and hurling the foul creature back to the center of the Arena so that it might crash into the sleigh. Anzu's wings unfurled and flapped once heavily, to clear the debris before he spoke in a loud voice with gaze fixated upon the thing that did not belong. The thing that stuck out in this picture worse than he, and made his skin crawl. Though with fear or anticipation, it could not be said.
"Human Mage Mila. I shall assist you in this battle. My partner is much like you, proficient in magic. She however has wings. She shall assist me."
As per his norm when combat opted to rear its head, he had committed not just himself, but his partner within the Thousand Scales.

Some of the elves were getting excited as they saw fighters enter to their death one by one. A few of them jumping in place giggling like a mad man, others making noises that sounded like a cross between growling, laughing, and talking. There was a total of nine visible elves and each one had made couple snowmen apiece waiting for the command to attack. By time the woman had entered she had started to fling spells in the direction of one of the snowmen, catching the lower half the top of the body plopped into the snow below, opening it's mouth and beginning to spray a mixture of snow and ice out of it's mouth it was quickly stopped by another fire ball aimed at it's head. Another of the snowmen began to move towards the man in the blue jacket, it had appeared as if it was gliding on top of the snow. Opening it's mouth it began to spray it's icy snow mixture at him as one of the elves drew it's dagger like candy cane rushing towards the woman. Soon a boy on a wyvern joined the fray, crashing into of the snowmen before engaging another, it's wyvern had urinated upon it melting it some. Patching up it's wound from the snow around it, the snow man began it's assault once again as an elf ran towards Satan Claws making a noise as if it was speaking. " Very well." Pulling a bow from the bag he handed it to the elf who took aim at Shugo. Pulling back on the string an icicle had formed and shooting it at him while it's nails on chalk board voice screeched out "PEACH COBBLER TIME", mocking him. As the young archer began to lob arrows into a couple of snowmen they hit the snowy ground for a moment. The piles of snow they created began to move towards him at a high speed, merging together half way there. When they were close enough they had made a giant snow head attempting to swallow him whole. Suddenly a small mount of snow had appeared and shot off towards the newest person, circling the outside edge of the arena before making it's direction towards him. Suddenly an elf popped out into the air, flying towards him with it's candy cane dagger in hand. Suddenly a gust of wind hand picked up the elf rushing towards Mila and flung him into a snowman, and he began to work with the snowman in it's assult. A couple of elves began to throw snowballs and the newest mage to arrive, as the snowball traveled through the air it had iced over, with spikes surrounding it. A man with wings had crashed into one of the snowmen, Satan Claws did not expect to see it's kind on Elibe. He couldn't remember the last time one of those things were here, but if he wished to challenge the mighty Satan Claws then he shall suffer the same fate. The reindeer had seemed to get excited to see this newcomer, they had began to snarl and snap at him, slinging slobber as they did so. A couple of elves come running towards them as Satan Claws let out a loud grunt, " Wait a moment." he said as he began to dig into the bag. Pulling out two long spear like candy canes he tossed them to the elves. " Go have fun with the reindeer." They had wasted no time charging the winged man the moment the harnesses were removed. (If I didn't respond with something rushing at you then you're free to do whatever)

The raven wasn't actually sure how long she had been flying. Well, 'too long' was the obvious answer, her wings felt more like leaden weights and the tensely coiled muscle in her back had long since passed well beyond the point of mere soreness. But in terms of minutes, hours, days... it had started off just trying to keep an eye on Anzu during his latest digression from sanity, but their merry(?) little adventure(?) had eventually turned into a long, long, LONG flight over more water than she had ever seen before, or ever wanted to see again for that matter, and Neamhain for one was perfectly fine with the idea of murdering water for its crimes against aesthetics by this point. You didn't know what boring was until all you'd had to stare at was the f**k**g ocean for however long they had been flying.
At this point she didn't actually know if Anzu had chased the stupid thing here or if he had regained some of his sense, but she was pretty f**k**g sure they weren't in Hurtlepool anymore. That was the only place she had seen a colosseum similar to this structure. Perhaps this too was a warrior city. Or perhaps it was a monument to madness. Possibly in the spirit of things, the physically and mentally exhausted raven's mind strayed from the subject at hand to try to remember if she had ever visited Hurtlepool with Anzu - he would have loved the grand colosseum there - but reality was a harsh mistress. As was the cold, but it was the scurrying... things within it that caught her attention more. Neamhain was used to the cold. Winged taguel flew high, above the balmy temperatures that the rest of Vinland called home. Not usually in snow. That was uncommon. But the cold was nothing new to her, despite her clothing lacking any real protection or insulation. A minor annoyance that registered in her mind, but deserved nothing more.
Slightly salty that Anzu STILL had more energy than her and was still god damn faster, she mimicked his descent at a much more leisurely pace, not particularly interested in crash-diving into the snow or engaging the strange, small, humanoid creatures or their... frosty minions in melee combat. The f**k was that? Elias had mentioned monsters were different in Elibe... but the f**k was this? And there was some strange red demihuman off away from the fight in a cart of some sort, watching. The f**k was he? And who was this strumpet Anzu was talking to? Neamhain's patience for the entire situation was rapidly fading, replaced instead by her boundless stubbornness as she ruthlessly crushed the resistance of her aching body to stop her descent, sable wings flapping in great arcs to arrest her downward movement a dozen meters or so off the ground as she took in the scene more clearly, not quite as blessed as Anzu in perception... especially not when the building rage threatened to overcome her.
The fight when they first arrived had appeared to be going in favor of the humans, but the monster in the cart turned the tides quickly. Well, if Anzu was already involved, that meant she kinda was too. Neamhain wasn't that bothered by his casual assumption that she would join in. It was pretty normal honestly, and more importantly at this point she WAS about ready to rip someone's head off. So maybe taking out her stress on these creatures wasn't such a bad idea after all.
The two beasts of burden that had been attached to the cart drew her attention quickly when they were loosed, almost surprising the seasoned warrior. She wasn't used to seeing things fly without wings, but given how strange today was, well, it wasn't THAT much of a departure from the norm. Initially both of them had charged Anzu, but when she reflexively began to channel her magic, feeling the electricity coursing through her like a wave, one of their heads jerked upward and the fell beast split from its companion as it aimed its ascent directly at her. So much for stopping to smell the roses. But despite her raising ire, Neamhain naturally slipped back into her business persona, or at least some approximation of it. She had a foe to deal with, there would be time to feel sorry for herself later.
The raven outstretched her right hand, palm raised upwards as if in supplication to the heavens, but they did not answer her call. Instead the power came from within as much as without, the air of Elibe less rich in magic than what she was used to but perfectly sufficient for magic; a sparkling glint that exploded violently in one instant and died down into a crackling ball of sheer light and heat and sound all at once. It wasn't exactly a huge impressive display of lightning magic, but the sheer magic oozing from it poisoned the air around her, belying what the seemingly harmless orb actually was.
But rather than cower like the craven cur it was, the brown beast simply opened its mouth, revealing rows of razor sharp fangs as it made a loud braying sound... somewhat like the horses she had seen humans used, the raven absentmindedly thought to herself, most of her mind focused on keeping control of the orb and gauging her foe's ascent. And it was moving fast. Faster than she had initially judged. It was speeding up. Dammit. She wasn't in ideal condition for a dogfight, and Anzu was busy down below with his own problems. It was not an advantageous position, but Neamhain did not falter or waver in her decision nonetheless, switching her battle plan from ranged support to a combination of self-preservation and annihilating her foe. It was faster and more agile than her, and certainly appeared better suited for melee combat - and closing fast. VERY fast.
But it wasn't like she had just been floating there waiting for something to happen.
The reindeer was only about five meters away when she detonated the orb, the foot-wide sphere erupting into a massive golden dome of light that sent jagged bolts of electricity in every direction, contained within the spectacle. Not that it was much of a consolation for the beast, blown aside by the sudden show of force and sent careening past her temporarily paralyzed as enormous quantities of electricity coursed through its muscles. It hadn't been incinerated though, which was... well, Anzu probably would have been excited to find something that could take a hit. Neamhain was more interested in just winning. But it didn't seem that was likely in this fight, at least not easily. And that attack had taken time and effort to charge. The creature would adapt its movements to deal with her. And she couldn't really cast effectively while moving, not that she was in fantastic condition to be flying freely anyways.
Neamhain sighed. Why couldn't Anzu take her somewhere nice for vacation?

Gar was presently engaged, but he saw them, allies from all over the continent. Bolts of fire cut through the snowmen as did wyvern urine. Gar had to smile at that scene. Arrows flew from a boy with an eye-patch. Nice look. Gar nodded in approval. A swordsman moved quicker than the pirate could keep track of, clearly in the defense of the female sage. They were working together, a good sign.
A silver haired swordsman moved in, engaging elves with a certain wind magic. A different magic than the mage who was fighting in the audience’s section. Then Gar finally saw a familiar face, one belonging to a hero that traveled on the adventure of a lifetime, Vincent if the pirate remembered correctly.
Gar continued to scan the arena as more and more allies joined the battle, dark magic was cast. Shaman. Gar thought with a certain prejudice. Dark magic users were nothing but trouble in his experience. A storied hero with green hair entered the fray. Gar’s parents once spoke of the Wolf of Sacae and he sure lived up to his reputation. Well, maybe not height wise.
Bird creatures came from the sky with an ear piecing shriek. They descended upon the snow covered ground like divine beings. Angels? No no wait, I’ve seen this before, they are probably just Taguel like Rhea only more, bird-y. They were quickly engaged by flying beasts. Unfortunately, aside from the inspiration of his weapon’s magic, there wasn’t much Gar could do to help. With all this chaos, someone was bound to get hurt and from what Gar could see, there weren’t many healers. No matter, if it came down to it, the berserker could Sacrifice some of his life force for another.
Gar took a moment to breathe and focus more energy though Junzentaru. “Look at all of us! There is no enemy that we couldn’t take down!” Gar and Junzentaru’s power should have combined to make a strong push at the source of this problem. Gar let out a hearty ‘Harhar’ before he glanced down at his arms. They were glowing. Up to his elbows Gar’s coat and his very skin were pulsing with the same light at his weapon. That’s new… Gar didn’t have much time to think of the implications before a snowman began floating atop the snow as if sent specifically in his direction.
Gar leapt into the air, higher than he ever had before and brought the winged axe down upon the creature with a newfound strength. The axe cut clean through the snowman. Gar hefted the two handed axe on his shoulder again. The light was still pulsing from his arms, still imbuing his allies with the courage to press further in the fight. Gar smiled as he thought of a clever one liner.
“Yarr. Dead snowmen tell no tales.” At least it was clever by his standards. The pirate couldn’t spend much time laughing at his own quip, he had allies in this fight and he needed to assist them. Gar moved deeper into the arena.
