Name: Adelaide Killam
Gender: Female
Class: Wyvern Rider
Age: 21
Born in: Bern
Appearance: Adelaide is of the stockier persuasion, though virtually all of her physique is muscle. She stands at 5’10” and sports a somewhat strawberry-shaped face with a pointed chin. She is otherwise quite beautiful, with radiant, amber eyes and shoulder-length chocolate brown hair. Her nose is symmetrical and somewhat pointed, whereas her smile is routinely considered to be one of her best features.
Adelaide’s chestplate, platelegs, and boots are a deep blue with intricate red trim throughout. Underneath, she wears a plain beige tunic with matching leggings. When not in combat, she favors earrings and a headband, the latter of which a keepsake from her mother when she left home.
Her wyvern is olive green and named Astoria.
Personality: Adelaide is beat characterized by her zeal, hotheadedness, and unwavering passion for duty. She is fiercely loyal and independent and seldom offers more than her fealty; she views allies as temporary and prefers to pursue endeavors alone, instead reveling in her free-spiritedness. That being said, if one persists enough, he or she will be able to earn her trust for a lifetime. She also comes under some fire due to her unwavering animosity towards her foes and her indifference at causing them harm.
Adelaide is also notoriously stubborn and prone to bossiness, which puts her under some scrutiny at times. However, she is good at heart.
As a random tidbit of trivia, she cannot swim.
History: Adelaide was born into an impoverished household in a tiny Bernese village, which was composed of little more than her single mother, her three siblings, and a ramshackle cottage. Because Adelaide was deprived of most menial things as a child and could only thrive on essentials (i.e. food and water), she developed a profound sense of envy in comparison to what other children had. Adding insult to injury, her family was considered a laughingstock because of it. Thus, Adelaide’s troubled inception all but cemented her volatile nature as she grew older.
Due to the impoverished state of the village, Adelaide and her family were often forced to rely on alms and other means in order to get by. Early on in her life, Adelaide greatly enjoyed the outdoors, although she was often sickly, thus rendering her bedridden. She suffered from frequent colds and chills, which plagued her until adolescence.
When Adelaide finally began to recover, her dissatisfaction with her mundane life grew. Tired of feeling stuck, at the age of fifteen, she finally persuaded her mother to leave home. As a gesture of remembrance, she was bequeathed a cheap leather headband. Despite its meager value, the well-wishing sentiment fit the keepsake. After striking out on her own, she enlisted as a trainee in the Bernese army.
After completing her training, Adelaide was tasked with habituating a wyvern of her choice. One such wyvern was notorious among the chosen heard for being the most difficult to tame, but Adelaide persevered, and the wyvern found itself drawn to her fervor and intense morality. Since then, the duo have been inseparable, although Adelaide now fashions herself an aerial mercenary rather than a soldier that “bends the knee”.
