Denzel found himself in a kitchen. 'Get back her', ye lil' pest!' He turned around to see an axe come down on him. He dodged, sliding over a table only for the bandit to slice it in half in his next haul. Dear St. Elimene, doesn't this guy ever hold back? He looked around for a weapon and picked up a pretty sharp looking piece of the destroyed wooden table. Alright, let him attack first... The bandit carelessly raised his axe above his head again and brought it down. Denzel darted outta the way. And go for the kill. The Lycian soldier sped forward and aimed for his heart.
The bandit cursed loudly. Denzel had missed his heart but still punctured his chest deeply. 'Take THIS!' Denzel was smacked across the room again and this made sure he kept his head on his chin. Waking up to another rescue wasn't what he wanted. As soon as he was stopped by the wall He sped out of the nearest door, not even looking to see if he was followed.
The Bandit slowly got up again and removed the piece of wood from his chest. On adrenaline alone he kept going and pursued the boy that had done this to him. He kicked open the door. 'GET BACK HERE AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN!'
'Very well.' The answer came from beneath him. The Bandit looked down. His opponent had crouch down just next of the door and had a lance in his hands. The difference in stature between the two had kept him from noticing him. The boy thrust forward, this time his was true.

Lilith smiled awkwardly and held up her seemingly broken wrist "We're twins!" the laughed. She looked around the room at the other townsfolk. "I think it would be better if we just stayed here and freed these poor people," she said. the farmers and merchants bound around her chimed in with their agreements. She located a fallen axe and started cutting through ropes oh so carefully, whistling a merry tune as her right arm hung by her side.

Selk wasn't interested in pointless killing, so he was a bit happy on the inside to see the bandit leader start running away. He did, however, want answers. He wanted to know why those bandits had attacked this village. Money? Power? Simply to have anything they might want at their fingertips? He honestly wanted to know. What would drive a man to harm good people like these that were taken hostage?
With these thoughts clashing in his mind, he gave chase to the Leader, following after him through the house. He wasn't trained to throw weapons, or to use axes, but he picked up the axe that the bandit had dropped outside and quickly flung it through the house at his target. He wasn't quite used to the weight and limitations his armor placed on him, so the throw was off by a notable degree. It would smash into the wall as the Bandit leader turned the corner to head out the back. Selk would round the corner behind him and get just out the door where he would launch his final attack. He would hurl his lance with one hand with all his might. It wasn't meant to finish the bandit off, just to knock him down and prevent his escape. He would be brought to justice for the audacity of his crimes if Selk had any say in the matter. The people of this village and the village itself reminded him of his home. That's probably why he was so intent on stopping the leader from escaping. Would he succeed, or would he fail?

Denzel thanked his good luck that he had found the place where they had stashed his lance, along with some other weapons they had assembled. Stepping over his first kill Denzel rushed through the kitchen and re-entered the room.
"Lilith! Are you okay?" Denze looked around the room, no more living bandits were left here. They'd been lucky in retrospect. But where were the others? Were they still fight outside?

Yaen had been asleep when the whole mess started. By the end of it, he was fairly awake, although wasn't sure about what had just happened. Feeling the bonds around his wrists being severed, however, he wasn't about to complain. "Thank you." he said to Lillith. "I've been tied up here for weeks, and quite frankly, it's starting to get a little crowded in here."
The Sacaen turned as a young boy burst in. He was shocked to see that the boy was in armor and holding a lance. Really, what was this world coming too? "Oh, I see you've found where they stashed the weapons. Could you point me in that direction? They liberated my swords, and once I get them back, I can help you free my fellow hostages."

The spear flew past the Bandit leader, who vanished out the back door. He was gone, though who knew for how long.
Wyatt looked up as Denzel burst into the room. "Here Denzel, we're ok...somehow. Are you ok though?" He hadn't had time to ask the cavalier before, but now it seemed important to note. With his right hand hanging limply at his side he half smiled at Lilith. "Yeah...twins I suppose." He then looked to the captives, and took his axe to their ropes.
"Well...we chased off the bandits, but what now? They can't stay here like this..."

"They definitely can't," replied Wein, wrapping his bow. "Our best bet would be to get them back to Laus city. We'll need to get out of here quickly. The bandit leader could be getting reinforcements for all we know. Bandits might be cowards, but they're also extremely prideful." Wein stepped over a dead bandit. "It's an interesting personality trait." Ducking down, Wein ripped the shirt off of a bandit and tore it in two, handing one half to Lilith and the other to Wyatt. "Make some sashes for your arms, or they'll just get worse."
Wein strode over to the Sacaen and helped him up. "We'll need all the help we can get, since we can't ride everyone back on horses."

'Yeah, I'm fine.' He said with a sight. He then looked at the Sacean that addressed him. Denzel suppose he was a hostage. 'Through that door, and then the open door on the other side.' He responded pointing behind him.

As the bandit disappeared out of sight, Selk slowed his pace and walked over to his lance. He pulled it out of the wall and slipped it into the straps on hos back and waist that held it for travel purposes. "Darn...he got away..." He said under his breath. He would slowly and calmly walk back into the room where everyone else had gathered. Selk was tired, but, because of some luck and a bit of Wein's skill with a bow, he had remained uninjured. His shoulders were in the worst condition out of all of him. They'd taken most of the pressure of his own attacks and they'd banged against his armor almost every time he made a move. He let his arms rest at his side as he leaned against the doorway. "It's good to see that our efforts didn't go to waste."

OOC: Guess we are waiting on me?
IC: Wyatt was finishing up freeing the last of the hostages. "Yeah, it sucks but there is no way this place is safe. It might take a while on foot, but we should be able to make it back to Laus without too many problems...yeah.." He stopped and looked at his limp arm, before registering what Wein had said. "Oh right, yeah I should take care of that."
He started to make a clumsy binding for his injured arm, as the now freed people began mulling about. Some moved to gather what little remained, and others stood around in a dream like stupor.

Lilith took a piece of wood that had been broken from the walls in the fight and made a splint for her wrist. She moved her fingers and winced. She wouldn't be able to use her right hand for a few weeks. Maybe a good healer could mend it..."Good thing I can cast magic with either hand, huh?" she said to no one specifically.
She then turned back to the rest of the group, who were now reassembling. "Denzel, Wein, Selk, I am glad to see you are all unharmed," she smiled, "What do you think of this 'mission', Denzel? I know we did not catch the leader, but at least no hostages were hurt or killed, right?" she added happily.

Wein smiled slightly. He was glad they had decided to pursue Denzel. "Not only that, but think if you had gone alone, Denzel. You and the hostages would all be dead," he said pointing to Denzel, then Yaen, "and those bandits would have gone off to raid another village." As Wein finished he walked over to Wyatt, correcting his binding and adding a sling. "Well we're not going to make any progress sitting around, let's get these hostages out of here. We'll put the most injure ones one the horses and walk them back."

Denzel opened his mouth to speak up against Wein. The Hell? That's real easy to say after the fact, isn't it? For all you knew at the time these bandits were killing people in a hurry and would already be gone by the time you'd arrive on foot. How would you have felt like if you had convinced me to wait for you then?! But closed it again. He didn't want to seem petty in front of Lilith. 'Fine, someone show me where they stashed the horses and I'll bring them up front. I'll check if they injured any of the horses as well.'

"I don't think any of us know where the horses are." Yaen replied. "Most, if not all of us, were black bagged before they brought us here, so we couldn't find our way back if we ever got loose. It's a good bet that there is a stable somewhere. Just follow your nose." He joked lightly. "Now, if you'll excuse me for a moment, I'm going to go find my swords." He said, before running off down the way Denzel showed him.

Wyatt did sense the arrogance in Wein's voice, what did he think that just because he was older he was able to make such a remark.
"Yeah but, if Denzel hadn't distracted them they might have moved out before we got here. Besides, we had no way of knowing what would have happened if we delayed. You never know. Anyway..." He said as Wein helped him finish his sling. "We should get going, so let's work to gather up the few supplies we can find and then head out."
He looked about, there was nothing left here. And everyone seemed ok, more or less. Funny, him and Lilith seemed the worst off, with their injured hands. Aside from that, the majority of them were uninjured.
"Well, I'm not riding with this wrist, so I guess we'll have to switch riders for the horses..." He said simple, moving towards the threshold.
