Guinevere gave a smile and bow to both Gabriel and Kelvin. "It's nice to meet both of you." She went quiet again until Rayl suggested sleep. Seeing as she had previously fallen asleep on his bed, she figured she should try to get her own room. "Rayl? Can you show me where I should sleep? I, uh..." It was probably best not to mention that she fell asleep on his bed before. "I couldn't find one when I looked before. For now, I left my belongings in your room. I do hope that's ok."

Pausing as he turned around to face Guinevere, the look on his face was...well, it must have been slightly amusing, his face was just slightly red. So instead of going into the estate and looking for a room ( despite the size of it, chances are it was filled up anyways.) she'd gone into his house and- his room? He opened his mouth to speak, but then shut it as he honestly couldn't think of anything to say, before turning around to the others," Well then, I guess I will s how Guinevere to a room for the time being. Good day, Sire Gabrie-"
and then there was the crack of an explosion. Later, someone's horse bolted off and joined the rest of the (less shaky) herd. Turning around abruptly, Rayl watched the two pillars of flames in the air, and had a brief time lapse of Bern, the prior conversation and current incident mixing in his mind, but he shook off that gloomy feeling as both Dakota and his Wyvern took off for the source of the fire, which, thankfully, began to dissipate without any real damage to anything major.

It took a while before Gabriel realized what had happened. The fires disappeared fairly soon after they had started, and with such magnitude, it could only have been magic. "Damn it Aaron. So you got yourself Elfire?" he muttered. Rayl had barely moved since the first boom. He probably wasn't even worried about it.
"Not much else to do right now. We'll be departing for Bern tomorrow morning, if you don't mind joining us" he said, as he went off towards where the explosion came from to tell Aaron about their departure. A short conversation with the green-haired mage later, Gabriel was looking for a room to spend the night in. Rayl's estate was really big. Even with the 30 men, chances are they could find a room. He hoped. A good night of rest was way overdue.

OoC: Hope you don't mind me butting joining in here right?
BiC:
Jade was wandering the streets. It had been several months since his separation from his parents. He walked about aimlessly. He knew he had to hurry to Bern, but he couldn't help it. He was too confused about what was going to happen.
He had to seek out his mother's relative, Queen Hellene of Bern. However, there was no saying what would have happened to the royal family of Bern. If he couldn't find Queen Hellene, then he would have lost all and any leads leading to his parents' location. And that was why he was procrastinating. If it turned out that he would have no more ways of finding his parents, he would be devastated, probably having no more motivation to live without his parents.
Still in his thoughts, Jade saw an Etrurian noble cross the street. The copper coloured hair, the green cloak and blue robes were an Etrurian style of dressing. Seeing a lead, Jade chased after him, following him to an estate/house of perhaps an important person? The house was large and definitely would not have belonged to any normal civilian.
Jade watched their conversations for a while, then saw a mage use an advanced fire tome. The mage he had followed called it "Elfire". As the noble left into the house, Jade took his chance and called out to the green haired mage: "Hey there!"

That dog from earlier ran up and started sniffing around, and barking occasionally as the mage climbed to his feet. Wow... I think it might be a little irresponsible to do something like that in a pitched battle, but... WOW! Aaron wiped some of the beaded sweat from his brow and looked around, catching a glimpse of a crowd a ways off and Fable off with the other horses. The gray crossbreed didn't look convinced that his master was quite finished yet.
He looked back at the target he'd picked, all scorched and broken, and decided that perhaps a blaze like the one he'd just called forth was indeed worth using most of his energy.
The Green-haired mage was about to head off to the building where everyone else was, when he heard a voice. It was a blonde-headed lad, dressed in blue robes, like those of a scholar, or mage. For a moment, Aaron's mind wandered over his own tunic and pants, weathered and even a bit scorched. It made him smile to remember all the scrapes he'd made it through in the months since leaving home.
"Hey there, yourself." Aaron called back in greeting. "You're... not with the other group that just came in, are you?" It was more a statement than a question, but it came out welcoming enough. Something was tingling on his senses. It felt like... well, it felt like Gabriel and every other mage he'd ever met, but it wasn't particularly strong. Perhaps the kid had some magic, or had been around magic for awhile.

"What other group? No, I am not with some other group." Jade answered the man.
At this close range, Jade could make out some of the guy's features. They looked very similar to those of his father's. And the armour, it looked like those that a mage would wear. Remembering the Etrurian noble that he had followed, Jade was curious as to where these people had come from.
"Hey, are you guys... From Etruria?" Jade asked cautiously, fearing that the name "Etruria" might trigger an attack from this mage that was standing in front of him.

OOC: Etrurian nobles? In my city? What is this? /massively confused.
As Gabriel left, Rayl looked back with a smile to Guinevere, before moving to her side," Well...I'd guess we'd best collect your things from my room then and try and find you a room, but first: I just may have to investigate whoever had caused the fire, Wait up and I'll help you with your things." with this, he gave a nod of his head, and was tempted to put a hand on her shoulder, but hesitated for reasons unknown and made his was for the training grounds.
Now, he was sure it wasn't any of the Etrurian soldiers, and most of his men were out of the area, so it had to be someone Gabriel had brought...regardless the flames were unsettling, with flashes of Bern crossing his mind...
Catching sight of two figures and some Scorched Earth where once a training dummy stood, Rayl looked from the child of the two, and would have ruled him out as the one who caused the damage, but there had been that young boy at the docks five years prior...nonetheless he looked to the green haired man who Gabriel had been with, and strode forward, with Dakota running back in a burst of speed, stopping just short of leaping on the paladin, and took a firm position at it's master's side,"And hail to you friend, and might I say your skills in the ancient arts are quite exquisite...and hail to you my young friend, I take it you are both friends of Sir Gabriel? I welcome you to my estate then, I am Sir Rayl." with this, he gave a polite bow, despite the uncomfort from doing so in heavy armor.
...Formal greetings...it's something you pick up when you have to meet with nobles at fancy banquets.

OoC: Gabriel's an Etrurian noble. Jade is just another Etrurian noble who was heading towards Bern and happened to pass by Pherae at the time.
BiC:
Jade watched as a heavily armoured knight walked towards him and greeted the both of them. However, it was not safe to say that the knight was heavily armoured, he was just wearing a lot of armour compared to Jade, who had never even worn a single piece of armour at all in his life and so, Jade's first impression of him was a knight in heavy, heavy armour.
"Who's Sir Gabriel? Is it that young noble with copper hair? No, I just followed him here, thinking there may be someone who could help me." Jade answered with a slight tinge of disgust at the knight as he was clearly not a magic user. Turning back to the green haired mage: "So, you have not answered me yet, are you guys from Etruria?" It can be seen very clearly that Jade's initial hesitation and cautiousness was slowly turning into annoyance.

Mernatel's patience finally wore out. He walked onto the grounds that the mages had walked onto. He saw many different things happening. First a conversation between mages and cavaliers. Then he saw that the green haired Mage from earlier making tornados out of fire. Then a younger Mage walked over to him followed by an armored man. Finally somebody else who wasn't in a robe.
He walked over thinking now would be a good time to apologize for his hungover behavior. When he got there he waited for a pause in the conversation. When the talking stopped he looked at the green haired man. He said, "I apologize for my earlier behavior. I feel very strongly for the independence of my country. I feel this would be a good time to introduce my self as well. I'm Mernatel."

Aaron was ready to respond when another bout of "Aaronarchy" (a term he'd recently coined for the frequent oddities that happened around him, like having three separate people speak to him at the same time) seemed to strike. A young stranger demanding to know if Gabriel was from Etruria, Sir Rayl, Hero of Elibe, and knight of high repute, and yet another knight, this one from Bern, all approached at about the same time, and started questioning, greeting, and apologizing to him at once.
"What is wrong with you people!" Aaron shouted in a rare flash of annoyance. "I don't..." have three mouths... "I'm sorry. Let's just try and pretend that didn't happen."
The mage finished a deep breath, and opened his eyes. Formal greetings. It was something that he was teased about when younger. "Let me introduce myself. I'm known as Aaron Winsett, and have traveled with Gabriel from Laus We met on the road, and seemed to have goals in common."
Aaron debated whether to share his knowledge of where Gabriel was from with this, well, stranger. Deciding to quietly leave it out.
"Mernatel, you did nothing wrong to defend your country. If you decide to hold no grudge, then I can hold my peace as well, while we travel."
Finally he turned to face the owner of the grounds he was on. "Sir Rayl, I would recognize you if I were blind. I'm sorry for my outburst a moment ago, and thank you for commenting on my abilities. I wished to test the range of my talent, and your targets presented an opportunity" Aaron wouldn't have chosen the term "exquisite" for that last spell. It was more like blatant overwhelming destruction, but he wasn't about to mince words with Rayl of Pherae.
"Going to Bern isn't my first choice, but you may count on my strength until I decide I must leave." Etruria was, and would remain the most pressing matter on Aaron's mind, even if others looked elsewhere.

When the green-haired mage had answered everyone's questions, excluding Jade's, Jade's annoyance got a little worse and in a very inquisitive and slightly fierce tone, he retorted, "Well, well, you think that its okay to ignore me just cause I am a young boy right? Well? Answer me! Also, answer my previous question, Mr Rudy! I can't believe a learned scholar of the arcane is so rude!"
Jade crossed his arms on his chest and looked expectantly at the green-haired mage, making it obvious that he expected an answer and he expected it now.

OOC: Oh I know that, but I thought you were thinking about a different Noble. ._." this is why I have to pay more attention.
Rayl couldn't blame the mage, this Sir Winsett, for his sudden outburst. Rayl had been much the same in his rise to fame and power: A young man who once spent his days raising horses to well known knight wasn't an easy transition. However, what his ears caught from the youngest of these three strangers was the way he was spoken to, and...well, it didn't sit well with him, and an earlier Rayl would have probably made the point that the boy was dealing with some great lord, but he said nothing, instead he looked back to Sir Winsett with a smile," The grounds are a good place to train my friend. You are welcome to stay on my lands as long as you and Sir Gabriel are here, but on one condition."
The look on his face changed from a formal and polite smile, to more of a grin you'd see on an old war buddy," And that is that you don't burn the place to the ground!" with this he gave the green haired man a pat on the shoulder.
Then turned and eyed the armored stranger," And you, good sir, I can only assume are from Bern, then. The men of your lands are known for their strength and immense pride for their country. I assure that The Bern Incident has not been unspoken of here in Pherae and The League is currently debating action. Now I don't know what has happened, but nevertheless, I can assume you, Sir Mernatel, ride with my Third, Sir Gabriel?"
With this, he turned and eyed the youngest, without an expression upon his face," and for your question, Sir Gabriel is but my Third in Command, and I think it's safe to say that few here now are of Etrurian birth. What other business do you have." Usually Rayl was known for his kindness, but the way he had been addressed prior...it was less than courteous, considering this man had wandered on his property and spoke in such a way after being welcomed onto such.
A lesser man would have tossed the boy to the Wyvern which had just landed behind him. Instead, Rayl turned to pat the scaly creature on the head, while speaking in a firm tone when the boy spoke to Sir Winsett in such a way," You know, my young friend, who is more rude, he who is busy or he who demands?"

Guinevere gave a little sigh as Rayl moved away from her towards the noise. It was understandable why he'd want to go over and investigate, but at the same time she didn't want him leaving again so soon. He seemed to be so busy since they got back. Guess that's what happens to such an important man. She walked back over to the doorway she had exited from and sat down on the threshold. She looked around for a few seconds before plucking up some grass and absentmindedly tearing it apart. Her thoughts were wondering, not focusing on the grass at all. Some when to her family, some to Commander Ritcher and the other soldiers she left. But most of them went to a certain paladin she hoped would return soon.

Watching the wyvern fly down, a little of the colour in Jade's cheeks drained. However, when he heard of the news that Sir Gabriel was of Etrurian birth, his eyes lit up with the hope of being able to find his parents.
Removing the annoyance from his voice, Jade apologised, "Right, I'm sorry. I heard you say that this... Sir Gabriel? Was from Etruria? Can I meet him now?"

Aaron looked at Rayl seriously, as the condition was about to be listed, and laughed out loud when he heard that he wasn't allowed to burn down the property.
"Hah, I'll try to refrain from burning down your grounds, Sir Knight. I've had enough experiences with fire to know to be careful. Thank you."
Momentarily, his fascination was caught by a winged creature landing behind Rayl. It was too small to be a dragon. That meant it was a wyvern. Quite an impressive sight for the green-haired mage. A moment later, Aaron turned his attention back on the lad nearby. He clearly hadn't learned to wait his turn, or hold his tongue, by how he'd spoken before.
"Hold on a minute. We don't even have a name for you. How are you called, Lad?" The mage pushed a loose lock of his hair from his face as he looked to Rayl, wondering how he'd handle this.
