WYatt had actually been planing to head back to Bern, continue looking into the mountains for Bernesse Steel, but then something occurred to him.
Sacaens weren't know for their inter country trading, and their were few mountains in Sacae. But Sacaen swords and their sword smiths were known for the finest craftsmanship in the land. Without access to minerals as he was used to, how would that be possible?
Seeking this was what sent him into Sacae, but alas, Lycian's are not always welcome on the plains. Several days later at present, he walks the plains with his arms scarred and cut, his clothing cut and re-stiched, and his body feeling weak and strong at the same time. It seemed he'd had to repel Sacaen scouts countless times, and of course they wouldn't listen to him.
"Urgh, why are these people so unreasonable...." He muttered. "Yaen wasn't anything like this."
And as the sun began to set on the horizon to signal the end of the days journey, it eclipsed something. A small building, what was that? It looked almost like a small shrine, but what would a shrine be doing all the way out here?

OOC: Just an FYI, this is open, though I will solo it if nobody shows up.
IC: Wyatt reached this odd building. It didn't look like it could house more then four or five people, such a tiny little thing.
"Hello?" He called into the darkness, the faint glimmer of a torch from behind the wall, barely visible.
A voice answered him. "My my, it is quite late for visitors. And you are not from our land, are you?" The way the voice spoke, it sounded like an old man, but the figure that turned the corner looked only slightly older then himself. Maybe young twenties.
"Uh, sorry for bursting in so late, but I uh..." How did he ask if he could stay in what was clearly a temple? Just didn't seem like the right thing to do. The man just nodded in response.
"It is late, and it is not safe to be out on the plains alone these days. Please, stay the night here. There is not much room, but we can always spare room for a weary traveler at the Shrine of the New Dawn."
New Dawn? So that was the name of this place. "Ah, thank you." Wyatt said, letting his pack slip from his shoulders. Thankfully, he caught it before it crashed to the ground, though some of his smithy tools fell out. The caretaker stepped over curiously and picked up the pair of tongs.
"Hmmm, you are a smith? Why have you come all this way then?" He asked, eying Wyatt suspiciously.
Wyatt was not terribly religious, but he didn't like lying to temple people, it just felt wrong. "Oh..ah, I wanted to find out how Sacaen's make such amazing weapons. There aren't any mountains or anything like them here, so I have no idea where they'd get the metal from."
The man smiled. "You are honest for a Lycian. Let me show you something about Sacaen craft, I think this stop will benefit you more then you thought." He began moving deeper into the small shrine, and Wyatt cautiously followed him. What he saw when he passed the frame was rather curious. The next room wasn't a room, more like a small courtyard, with a sword sticking out of a mound of dirt in the center of it. Wyatt squinted his eyes in the fading light to get a look at this sword, and even from here and in this poor lighting he could see that the craftsmanship was supreme.
"Whoa..." Wyatt mumbled, reaching to touch the blade. The caretaker called out.
"You must not!"
But Wyatt's hand felt it. As he neared the blade, something struck him, it felt like he'd gotten suddenly shocked. His hand snapped back on reflex, as he stared at the silent and beautiful blade.
"W-What was that?" He asked, looking to the care taker.
"That...is why this shrine is here. To keep this sword safe and hollowed."
Wyatt wasn't the smartest when it came to these things, but that was definitely magic. Could it even do things like that?
"Why?" He asked the man. "Why is this sword here."
To which the man responded, walking for the archway out. "I do not know, the shrine was built around the blade. You may learn something looking at it, but I would advise against trying to touch it again." And he left the courtyard, leaving the smith to examine the piece of art.

The dawn rose too soon for the smith, as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and looked about the small building of stone. That had been some very restful sleep, but he felt as though something important had happened in his sleep. There was an odd....feeling in the air.
Voices from behind him caught his attention. "I was surprised to find another wandering the plains, two foreign travelers in one night. Is there something going on nearby?"
A young voice responded. "No...nothing is going on. But I heard there had been trouble up here in regard to a sword. I was wondering if I might see it?"
"Ah, certainly." And the sound of soft footsteps moved closer. The two passed Wyatt, and the other voice had been a young priest. Hey wait a minute! Wyatt had seen that priest before in Laus!
Before he could speak though, the boy moved closer to the sword, his eyes wide as he reached out, his hand bouncing off of the field of magic, which seemed to react more violently then it did for himself. "This is it..." He spoke quietly. "Falcatta".
Silence hung in the air as the shrine tender looked over him. "You...know what this sword is?" The priest nodded. "Yes. This is...a sword that was once held by a very powerful warrior. If it is here then that means...." he looked at the mound of dirt, at the grave marker. There was something important here...
"I couldn't say for certain, but I believe it was placed here to guard something very precious."
Wyatt looked over the blade in the dirt again. What had he called it...Falcatta? What could that sword be...?

Asri left Bern after she met a wandering minstrel and borrowed(stole) his journal. She had been interested to his story about a shrine in Sacae and the legendary sword. She then decided to visit the shrine, she wanted to steal the sword and sold it to the highest bidder later. The black market always had a good price for something like a legendary weapon.
After she spent a week of riding her horse and avoiding the nomads on her trip, she finally found the shrine, at least the journal was right about its location. It would be a great vain if the shrine didn't actually exist. Smile of satisfaction and relief appeared at her face, she couldn't wait to see the legendary sword.
First, she would check if the shrine had someone guarding it by coming as a "normal" visitor, she would take action after she got enough information about the treasure and enemies . Guiding her horse toward the entrance, she studied the terrain, figuring the best route to escape with the treasure. The thief stopped her horse right in front of the entrance. "Anyone here?" she asked. The thief stared at the sky while waiting for response.

By the time Asri had arrived, the priest was since gone, he'd said a few things more about the sword before he left, but refused to stay and discuss more. Wyatt, however, couldn't pull himself from the pristine blade, even if he couldn't touch it. So he used his eyes, taking in all the detail he could. The metal design, seamlessly integrated into the weapon itself. The red veins, what mineral was that? An alloy...? Something that he wouldn't have though of, clearly, since he knew of no such metal in Lycia...
"No matter how much I study it, it's an incredible weapon." Wyatt remarked. "The craftsmanship is amazing.."
The caretaker watched the boy, oddly amused. "It would, as that priest said, take some very powerful magic to break the spell of warding on that blade. Either that, or find the one who put it there. And if my stories are right, then I think all of Sacae knows the man who placed that sword there. Perhaps it would be better if you forgot about a weapon you cannot possibly attain? After all, what chance is there for such a man to let a Lycian smith he'd never met take a sword he placed there for a reason?"
Wyatt's expression of excitement faded briefly. He was right, of course.
It was at that moment that a voice drifted into the small shrine.
[red]"Anyone here?"[/red]
The caretaker moved outside, where he saw Asri. "A good morning to you. Why have you come all this way traveler?"

Asri looked at the caretaker, watching him greeting her. He didn't look dangerous, but she should not underestimate him because he might be hiding his true strength. And this place was a shrine which built to protect the legendary sword, right? This man might be the guardian of this shrine, he probably had fearsome abilities. Well, but she didn't come here to fight, she would wait for a good chance to steal the sword without having to fight the guardians.
"Good morning." Asri threw a cute smile to the man, a smile which didn't suit her evil self. But she was always good at deceiving people, no one had been able to tell evil plan what she always had in her mind. Many people had fallen victim to this talent, if it could be called as talent. Anyway, this man asked a question so she had to answer it. "Hello. My name is Asri. I am on my way toward Ilia but my horse looks tired. Can I stay here for today? I will pay if you need money," she said.

The tender nodded with a smile. "Of course, it would be my honor to have another guest. There is not much space here, but you are welcome for as long as you desire. There is another young man here, all I ask is that no quarrel be had, this is a holy site."
He moved aside to allow her enter. "If you do not object, then there is plenty of space here for you. Come, and rest."
Wyatt had heard the talking, and had peered out of the central area to spy the new visitor. When he saw her, he arched an eyebrow. A girl, not a sacaen obviously, traveling the plains alone? Wasn't that kind of stupid?
Lacking anything to say, though his presence was known, he waved to her. "Good morning, welcome to the Shrine of the New Dawn."
And behind Wyatt the sword was fully visible, still lodged in the dirt.

"Thank you very much. I will definitely repay your kindness. And don't worry about us, I am sure I can get along with him," she replied, smiling. Well, what she said was different from what she thought, it actually was, "What? How annoying...I hope he won't give me troubles." But she didn't show it in her expression or her tone, she kept that innocent smile in her face.
Asri tied the reins to a nearby pillar and brushed her horse's neck. "Good boy. Wait here, okay?" She then went inside the shrine. The first thing she did when she stepped her feet into the shrine was studying the interior. "So it is a shrine, huh? My first time coming to a place like this," she muttered. As she walked further inside, she began to think about the profit of selling the legendary sword.
"Good morning, welcome to the Shrine of the New Dawn."
The thief saw a boy greet her, she smiled to him and waved back. "Good morning. Thank you for the warm welcome." Asri stared at him. "Is it him?" From what she had seen, she assumed that there was only the caretaker and this man here. But she couldn't be too sure now, the others might be around. She approached Wyatt and stretched a hand. "My name is Asri. Nice to meet you." Making a good impression was important, she would try to befriend this man and the caretaker.
But then she saw something behind him, she couldn't avert her eyes from the sword. It looked........expensive. What? Did you expect her to see it as beautiful or amazing?

Wyatt allowed a smile to split his face slightly as he went to shake her hand in greeting. "My name is Wyatt, nice to meet you Asri."
He caught her glance going past him, and looked over his shoulder at the sword. "It's impressive isn't it? I've worked with weapons my whole life and I've never seen something that could even compare to it. It is one fine blade they placed her, worthy of worship indeed."
He turned back to her, releasing her hand. "So, what brings you here this morning Ms. Asri, come to see the sword?"

Asri nodded. "Yeah, it looks exp...impressive," she said. She could imagine the amount of money she would have if she sells this sword. The thief still admired the sword a little, the design, the metal, the shape, everything looked great. But she didn't have desire to possess it, she wanted to steal and sell it. "I am glad I come here. It's not everyday I can find an amazing sword like this." The thief stared at the sword, she had got an urge to grab it and run away. But that would need to wait until tonight.
The thief shook her head when Wyatt asked why she came here. "No, I am heading toward Ilia. I didn't even know that there was a shrine here. I am just lucky to find this place," she explained, telling a lie. Of course she came here for the sword, to steal it. But she should not let these people know about her ulterior motive, she should act like a normal traveler. "I don't know much about sword but I can feel that this sword is...something," she said. Asri approached the sword with a smile, a happy smile. She reached out and touched the sword with her finger.

Ralph managed to stay on the right path most of the distance. Caecus only clawed him a couple of times for going off of the correct path.
It was always difficult going places without knowing where you were actually going. Even if he had eyes, there would be problems with knowing which direction to go and how far it was. That's why Caecus was his eyes, a bird could fly and see the surrounding area.
Ralph's boots walked onto what felt like a marble step. It was possible that he was in the right place, but he couldn't be sure. He called out, "Hello, is anyone out here?"
It would quickly turn out badly if he was at some bandit hideout. His swords could easily get caught on the unseen objects around him, like trees or maybe pillars.

OOC: Sorry for the delay.
IC: Wyatt watched her hand move towards the blade, and made no effort to stop her. He was curious to see it's response, would it be as violent as it did to the priest, or would it be calm, like his own?
As her finger neared the blade, she would feel pressure stopping it. If she attempted to push further, the air around the sword would crackle slightly, though not yield. Wyatt chuckled.
"Apparently there is some kind of magical ward around it." He said. "Some priest who was in here earlier said so, seems like someone used the sword to seal away something else. Though I couldn't say what..."
He thought for a second. "Still it's weird, the magic really acted up when he went to touch the sword...what did he call it...Falcatta? Anyway, it was a lot more active then it was for you, wonder why that is?"
He thought for a second. "Maybe it's because he was a priest...the Sacaen's don't follow the church do they?" He surmised, cupping his chin in his hand.
He'd love to examine the sword, but getting past the barrier would be difficult. And maybe he shouldn't, I mean, you don't just throw something like that down for no reason. It was there for a reason, and not understanding it made it a difficult choice.
Wyatt heard another voice join them from outside, but did not hear the caretakers voice in response. "Jeez, lots of visitors lately." He said.
"Back here!" He called with a shout. "Come on in!"

"Huh?" Asri felt like something stopping her finger from going any further. "I see. It's not easy. It seems my job is going to be fun." Although she was surprised at first, she quickly figured out that there was a magical force protecting the sword. She couldn't even touch it, it felt like a solid invisible wall. She pulled her hand away, not wanting to push her luck. The magic might hurt her if she did. "Hmm...So it reacts differently depend on who touches it, right?" She wondered why, his explanation didn't sound right for her. Did it react more violently because he was a priest?
"I doubt normal weapons will be able to pierce the barrier, it might need a certain magic to break the seal," she thought. Asri refused to give up, a treasure was right in front of her, she could not ignore the sword and leave empty-handed. "Interesting, Wyatt. I have never seen a magic ward, it has piqued my interest. I would like to stay here for a few days to study it, if it is allowed," she said.
Asri ignored the visitor and stared at the sword again.

Ralph walked to where he could here the young man's voice coming from. He felt an odd sensation as he neared the shrine. "Hello, I heard something about this sword being from the Bandit War and came here to pray for the people who died in the war. I get uncomfortable around Elimine Churches."
Using his sheathed sword as a walking cane, he approached the Falcatta. Eventually, his sheath resisted the air without actually touching anything. Magic of some kind? He retied the sheath to his side and knelt down, giving a small prayer.
"Spirit of the blade, I know not if you fought for justice or for hatred. I know not how many lives fell to you. I just ask that you be with the souls that were lost to that horrible war. Spirits of my lost friends, if any there were that died. Please forgive me for not being able to assist you."
The red-dyed tears ran down his face again. "All I ask is for the strength to save my homeland. If you exist, spirit of the blade, please give me strength in spirit."
He remained kneeling for awhile, but said nothing else.

Wyatt nodded to Asri. "It's not my choice to say, but I think it would be fine if you wished to stay here." He turned to the entrant, noting him blind. When he moved to help him, he saw that he did not need his help. Wyatt stood their, and listened to his prayer. So this man had lost friends in the war...and now another war was brewing. Was this really going to turn out better then before? It was then he noticed that the young man appeared to be bleeding.
"Ah!" He responded, pointing out the stain of red moving from under his blindfold. "He's injured...uhhh...temple-owner guy!" He shouted, unsure as how to address the caretaker. "We've got someone injured in here!"
He moved over to Ralph, unsure if he was unconscious on his feet, or out cold entirely. He looked to Asri. "Hey, you ok in there?" He asked.
