"Well, if not allowed, I will simply kill the caretaker. And then I will slowly figure a way to break the seal." Evil thoughts ran through her mind as she continued staring to the legendary weapon. She shrugged and turned to Wyatt. "I won't force to stay, though. It's a shrine, so it's understandable if the caretaker doesn't allow me to stay for long," she said to him, smiling.
When a man came by and knelt down, she looked at him from the corner of her eyes. He was blind, and he was using his sword sheath to help him walk. Asri had seen a man like him a few times, and some of them were caused by her. She took a step to the side and watched him praying. "War, huh? It sure has taken many lives."
She then heard Wyatt freaking out. Wondering what caused him to panic, she followed his eyes toward the newcomer. Even Asri was surprised to see blood trailing down his cheeks. Although she was lazy, she had to act like a good woman. She also knelt beside Ralph and touched his shoulder. "Are you alright?"

Suddenly the people around Ralph started panicking. "Huh? What? Is someone injured?" He was still not aware that the tears had left stains on his skin.
This was one of those moments Ralph feared. Something was happening around him, but the cues given by the people speaking didn't help him figure out the situation at all. Until the girl touched his shoulder that is. "Oh, are you talking about me? I'm fine, why?"
It was always odd, not being able to see. Was there something he or someone else had done to make them panic? It was impossible to tell.

Wyatt was a little shocked at the man's confusion, and the caretaker had just entered. "You're bleeding, you've been wounded. We should probably clean that dressing." He remarked, but the caretaker beat him to the punch.
"Please, allow me. Just sit still a moment and I will apply a fresh bandage." He remarked, filling a small stone bowl with clear water from a small well. Wyatt took a piece of cloth and ripped it, passing it to the caretaker.
The caretaker began to remove the sash, working to redress the old wound.
OOC: Being that I have no idea what caused Ralph's blindness, and I have no time to go digging, I will leave the description to you."

"You are bleeding. You...don't feel hurt at all?" Bleeding might be not the correct words to describe it, it looked like he was letting out blood tears. Asri couldn't be sure what caused this. Were his eyes injured? "Anyway, please allow us to treat you."
Asri watched as the caretaker came and offered his help, she then stepped back, giving him more space to treat Ralph's eyes. Glancing at the blind man, the female thief felt a bit curious toward this man, his blindness seemed to not affect him much, he could come to his shrine alone with those blind eyes, unbelievable.

"What, I don't-" They would not listen as his sash was removed by force.
As Ralph had expected, though not the others, his face was perfectly fine. Only, his eyes were an odd shade of red. There were small stains on his cheeks where the tears passed through his sash, giving it the appearance of blood when the tears were stained by it.
"Urgh, red all around me. Please give me my sash back, the light hurts my eyes." Ralph closed hie eyes and held his head. The light burned, it made all that he should be seeing red. "Please, just give me my sash back..."

The ride from the town near the Bernese border was not nearly as rough as the one to it. No beggars, no scam artists, no annoying gate guards, and, more importantly, no tornadoes. It was an extraordinary ordeal he just went through. A powerful practitioner of elder magic calling himself an "Archivist" who could record the memories of the dead and also use them as his personal soldiers. Hartun was his name and he apparently took a special interest in Grayson's life and the possibilities he could achieve. He saved the archer's life not once, but twice and also allowed him to fight a horde of Sacaean raiders alongside him. Grayson would have never experienced something such as that if he had stayed in the manor his whole life and he had a feeling that he'd be involved in even more extraordinary events in the future.
Following the directions and map markings Hartun gave him, Grayson finally stumbled upon the place they led to. The Shrine of The New Dawn. It was a sight to be sure and the archer nearly lost himself in admiring the place, but he was interrupted by a ruckus further in. He dismounted Mr. Cobblepot and hitched him to a tree by the entrance. Softly, the archer stepped into the shrine and the voices grew louder. Apparently, a man was injured. One of the voices he barely recognized.
"Wyatt? So Hartun was right about him being here." Grayson scoffed at himself, 'Seriously, why am I surprised?"
Grayson finally found the group gathered around a blade. A man in red was protesting all the trouble they were going through to change a bandage.
"Ahem." the archer cleared his throat loudly, "Perhaps you should listen to the man? He doesn't look injured to me."

The care taker looked concerned, but returned the sash to Ralph's eyes, trying it tightly about him. "What on earth happened to you? I've never seen an injury like that."
Wyatt was about to ask a similar question when another voice filled the hall. The care taker looked at Wyatt curiously, as if to ask why all these people showed up today.
Wyatt turned to see who was addressing him, and did not directly recognize the man. Well, that wasn't so, he did but he didn't.
"Hey...don't I know you? Weren't you with Gabriel and Aaron earlier?" He was so sure he'd seen him before, and you don't forget very many purple haired men.
He found it was getting crowded in the small housing area for the sword. "Hmm, some of us should move outside, this place isn't exactly big enough for all of us to be in here." He said, moving towards a door.

Grayson smiled and held back a laugh. Of course Wyatt wouldn't recognize him right away, his hair wasn't done! It seemed that, in his experiences traveling around, his hair was what everyone latched on to when describing him. He ran into a few people in Bern who only referred to him by "Mr. Pomp".
Grayson followed Wyatt and responded.
"Indeed I was. Here. Maybe this will help jog your memory."
Grayson flipped his head so all his hair hung in front of his face and then grabbed it, twisted it, and folded it over itself to make what kind of looked like his usual hair do. The novice archer smiled a toothy grin.
"Now do you remember me better?"

Ralph quickly fixed the sash. "Thank you, I've had an odd illness for some time, my eyes burn whenever I'm not wearing the sash. Like, I need to see red or something. I'm not really sure myself, but that's what has worked for these years."
He went back outside at the request of Wyatt. Caecus the eagle flew down and rested on his shoulder. "I'm going to ask the people at this shrine about the sword, Caecus. We'll return to Bulgar later." There was still a lot he wanted to know about the sword and why there was a shrine dedicated to it.

"So that's why he looked so flustered when his sash was taken. Weird illness, I hope I won't have it." Asri scratched the back of her neck as she followed Ralph and Wyatt. He was right, this place looked more cramped now with these new people. She sighed again, it seemed it would be harder to steal the blade with this many people around, and the magical barrier, she needed to find a way to break it first. "Great. Please leave..." she tought.
Leaning on the wall, she watched these people chatting for a while before she decided to join the conversation. She needed to know this people better before she could prepare a good plan. Well, she didn't have to steal it tonight, actually. Tomorrow or next week wouldn't make big difference, but her greed had made her lose her mind, she really wanted to sell this blade for a lot of money.
"Your friend, Wyatt?" she asked him an obvious question and gave him a light pat on shoulder then turned to face Grayson. "Nice to meet you. You can call me Asri."

Grayson moved his gaze from Wyatt to the woman beside him who had just addressed the archer. It wasn't often he encountered women in his travels, but other than Saffra she seemed to be the most... womanly? He wasn't sure how to put it. There was just something about her that wasn't like the vapid barmaids and frankly addled companions from the start of his travels. It was refreshing. She felt real. A far cry from people like Gwen who was too busy clinging to Rayl to show what kind of person she was.
Grayson turned his head to the side, still holding his hair. Of course, he never really spent much time around Gwen to give her a fair chance. Either way, this Asri seemed to be a good friend candidate. Though she did only say a few words. The archer tilted his head to the other side. He did judge people quite quickly, didn't he? It was then that he realized he was staring at the poor girl tilting his head from side to side. He hadn't noticed, he was so absorbed in thought.
"Oh!" Grayson took his hands off his hair and let it fall back down, "Pardon me. Just... um... thinking. You may call me Grayson Pintel." the archer then gave a slight lordly bow as he was taught in his youth.

Ralph returned to the others just in time to hear the introductions going around, with Caecus still on his shoulder.
"I am Ralph Meglane, err, sorry for making you listen to that embarrassing prayer in there." He said, "Do any of you know any legends behind this shrine? I heard it had something to do with the old war, and I wanted to know what exactly it was."
It was nice to be out in Sacae, away from the cities, like Pharae which he had come to love. He only now noticed the crisp air and the wound of wind blowing the grass. Perhaps because he had flown in to Bulgar, and didn't have a chance to be on the plains until his walk here.

Wyatt nodded at Grayson. "Ah yeah, I remember. Sorry it's kind of hard to remember everyone, even with that ridiculous hair." When Ralph asked about the sword, he grinned, prepared to tell what he'd heard from the Bishop.
"Well, apparently it's called 'Falcatta'. That much is for sure. He said it was held by a really powerful warrior, um...what name did he use? It was a title...Demon of...Sacae?" He noticed the red veins in the sword and snapped his fingers. "Ah yes! The name was the Crimson Demon of Sacae, but he wouldn't give a real name, and I dunno who that is. Anyway, he seemed to think the sword is actually guarding something else that is in the grave it is marking, no way to know for sure though because of the ward."
He paused, letting this sink in.

"Oh...That's alright..." Asri turned her face away from Grayson, not because she was embarrassed being stared but to hide her annoyed expression. Of course she had made it look like she was really embarrassed by moving awkwardly and scratching her cheek. "I've got urge to hit his eyes," she thought secretly as she watched Grayson bow.
Asri didn't really interested to what Wyatt said, but the name of "Crimson Demon of Sacae" rang a bell. Although she never met the person, the rumors and tales about him had spread widely. "Well, that has nothing to do with me I think, unless he was the one who set the ward to protect the sword," she thought.
"That's an interesting fact, the wielder is a legend." She tried to follow the conversation although she didn't really feel interested about the story. The only thing she cared about now was to find a way to break the ward. But she needed to keep it secret and act like she felt interested to the legend of the sword to cover the reason why she came here. "Hell, just leave, now! You only make my job harder."

"The Crimson.. Demon of Sacae?" That name made Ralph shiver, but it also made him think of that man. The man that was always dressed in red, a close companion of Matis. He still couldn't remember that man's name, but it seemed unlikely that he had a shrine to him.
"So the shrine is guarding something? If that's so then there has to be something protecting the sword itself from thieves, right?" He shuddered when he said the word 'thieves'. That was his past, he had an honest job now.
