Ridiculous hair? Grayson felt practically insulted by the concept. He scoffed at Wyatt. He simply had no taste in hair style. That was the only explanation for him thinking that Grayson's gorgeous hair was ridiculous.
Again the archer was so lost in thought, this time about how anyone could find his hair to be "ridiculous", that he barely caught any of what Wyatt was saying. Not that it mattered much, anyway. The sword was apparently sacred and he gathered that it was used as a place for prayer or fortune telling. He'd heard of places like this all over Elibe.
"So, pray tell, why is everyone here? Just stopping by for a prayer?"

Ralph was spending more time at the shrine than he had expected. Karina probably left Bulgar without him.
"Thank you for telling me about the sword." He said to Wyatt. "I have to go now, perhaps our paths will cross again someday?"
He walked away from the shrine for a distance then, with the help of Caecus, began to move south. It seemed that leaving home wasn't a good idea after all. All he had accomplished was a prayer that he really should have done a long time ago. He should have stayed with Sir Rayl, but the dream of Bern was too much to have continued.

"Well, not really. I accidentally found this place," the thief said as she shrugged. "I didn't realize that this place was a shrine. I should have known." Throwing (fake)gentle smile, the scarlet haired woman answered the question, looking directly to the asker's eyes. Always, she never avoided people eyes, nor averting her gaze while talking with someone. Her harsh life had told her a few important things, to never let herself being careless and to study people before making a plan.
"How about you, Grayson?" He looked younger than her, but her facial expression looked matured enough, and that scar made him look cool. Asri herself was only 19 years old, but her mindset might have been more experienced and tactical than other people with the same age. Her past and some of childhood trauma shaped her to a cunning and selfish woman. "Were you following Wyatt or what?" she asked, smiling.
"Okay, why don't you just go following that blind guy? And hopefully Wyatt will go too. If only the caretaker, it will be easy." [/b]

Grayson frowned slightly at his pun being ignored by Asri. He figured it was quite clever, himself. Raising an eyebrow at her question, however, he crossed his arms and shifted a bit uncomfortably. He couldn't just tell her that Hartun sent him. Archivists were supposed to be an unknown entity, a secret organization. Merely mentioning him could cause more questions to spring up and if he were to dodge them he would seem suspicious. Grayson had never been in a situation where he had to keep a secret before. It was exciting. The archer squirmed in revelation of the feeling.
It was then that he realized he was spending too much time thinking about things again. He didn't even take notice when the man in red departed. The novice archer wasn't fully aware of how he was acting, either, but he was sure it was odd and embarrassing. Possibly even a bit off putting for this new face. He straightened himself out and cleared his throat.
"Um..." Grayson began to speak, choosing his words carefully, "I was directed here... by a friend. That's all, nothing more!" The archer trailed off, hoping his subterfuge was good enough.

Wyatt watched everything transpire. The blind man left, and Grayson was tripping over his words. Wyatt laughed and clapped him on the back.
"Hey come on man, I know she's cute but don't get so flustered." He turned to Asri with a smile. "You'll have to excuse him, he's just not the same without his incredibly loud hair."
Wyatt thought on why he was here. "Well, I was with Aaron for a little bit, but we got seperated and I wound up here. I was studying the sword, but really I dunno what else I can learn from it like this. If I really wanted to study it, I'd need to find a way to be able to touch it. But that doesn't seem like it'll be too easy, so I guess my journey continues."
He looked to the pair of them. "So, where are you guys heading to?"

"Hmm...Is he really saying the truth? He seems...lying," the thief thought secretly, she didn't show it in her expression that she doubted his answer. Putting a poker face, she studied his expression, his gesture, his breathing, and every inch of his movement. Although she couldn't exactly tell what Grayson intented to do with his lie, she realized that he was hiding something. "A friend? Guide him here? Why?"
"Am I really that cute? Or this guy just never had a woman in his life?" Asri sighed as she looked at Grayson. Did he feel nervous? If yes, it could be the reason why the archer talked like that, he might be not hiding anything at all. "Wait..." Asri came up with another possibility. "Don't tell me...Maybe he comes here to steal the sword too..." A small grin appeared on her lips, though only for a second, she quickly changed back to her poker face. "Whatever, I only need to watch him."
"I am on my way to Ilia. When I saw this place, I thought to give my horse some rest." She made a smile again when she turned to Wyatt to answer his question. Asri was fairly adept in lying to people, if not, she would have died many times. The thief lived a dangerous life after all, and with dangerous people too.
"By the way, where's this friend of yours, Grayson?" she asked, wanting to uncover the truth.

"Cute?" Grayson scratched his head for a moment in confusion. He couldn't grasp the concept of a person being cute. Sure, rabbits and kittens and babies were cute, but not full grown people.
"I don't follow, Wyatt. What do you mean by that?" Grayson listened to Asri's story. He wasn't so much interested in it, nothing all that exciting or adventurous. But her question put him on edge. He jumped, startled at her inquiry. What should he say? In truth, he wasn't quite sure where Hartun was. He just disappeared along with his tent back at the ruined town. The archer felt it best to tell as much of the truth as possible without revealing anything about his secretive friend.
"Umm... well I don't know, really. We parted a few days back. Knowing him, he could be anywhere right now." he then turned to Wyatt, "I was headed to Etruria. My business is my own."
It dawned on Grayson that it was a bit odd that Asri asked for the whereabouts of Hartun.
"Pardon my prying, but why ask about my friend's whereabouts?" the archer asked Asri, stroking his hair and tucking it behind his ears.

Wyatt might have been hearing things that weren't there. But Grayson was behaving oddly. Speaking in riddles, responding such to Asri's question, which was odd in it's own right.
Suddenly, Wyatt felt a desire to not be here. "Well I must confess, I have..no destination in particular. But I do believe I have waited here long enough staring at this blade. I suppose it is time to head out again." He nodded to Grayson and Asri with a smile. "It was nice to meet you Asri, and good to see you again Grayson. Both of you take care." He spoke, before lifting his pack to his shoulders.

OoC : Is Wyatt really leaving?
"Well, you said your friend guided you here, I don't see anyone beside us right now", she replied, although that wasn't the real answer. The real reason was because she was curious to him, she thought he was lying, hiding something. Asri didn't care whatever his reason was, as long as he wouldn't disturb her plan. "Hmm? Am I digging to much? I hope he won't feel suspicious. I doubt he will, that was only a simple question."
"Maybe he had already left?" She hid all her foul thoughts behind a fake smile.
Asri almost jumped full of joy when Wyatt told them that he was going to leave. "Now, only you!" She instictively looked at Grayson, but then instantly turned away hoping he wouldn't notice it. Even if he did notice it, she hoped the archer would misunderstand her motive.

A few hours passed and Asri started to doubt her plan. The thief thought about it again, the barrier was made to protect the sword from people with ill intention. The fact that the shrine and the sword were still here told her one thing, the protection should be strong, probably stronger than a batallion of soldiers. Smirking, she cursed herself for being blinded by golds. Well, at least this time would make her ready for the next attempt, now she knew the interior and other details.
"Oh, I remember I have an urgent business, I can't stay here even if I want to." She made up story about her horse being tired before, which was a lie. The brown horse could take her back to Bern now, Asri had paid much for this strong horse after all. She jumped onto her horse, fastening the saddle and the reins. "Take care, Grayson."
After saying that, Asri rode toward Bern without looking back to the shrine.

Grayson sat on a bench outside the altar with a hand on his steed's white coat. A sigh made itself past his lips as he pondered his future actions.
"I don't know, Mr. Cobblepot." he spoke to his horse, "Hartun mentioned meeting a familiar face here and I did, but I had assumed that he meant I was to spend more time with Wyatt than I did. He just up and left before I could get a chance to say anything. And then Asri just decided to go on her way. I'm starting to wonder why I even came here." he moped as he rested his chin on the palm not already placed on his mount, "This was just a waste of time."
The novice archer hung his head as he stroked the stallion's coat. Mr. Cobblepot craned his neck to nudge Grayson's shoulder and then tugged on his cloak with his teeth. Grayson raised his head to look at his companion. The steed's eyes displayed an almost human look. A look he had learned in his travels with his old friend.
"Hungry, huh? Alright." the archer stood up and pulled himself into the saddle, "We need to get going, anyway. I'll find you a nice field to graze in."
With a snap of the reigns, Mr. Cobblepot trotted off. Grayson gave a regretful look back at the shrine. He had a feeling he was supposed to do more there, but never got the chance. The small shrine eventually disappeared as he and his companion made their way down a large hill and on to later travels.
OOC: Grayson exits.
