Hal got to his feet and walked over to his armor and put it on. Stepping outside he could see Elesia talking to Abel while Sol just stared him down.
Upon seeing Hal his head perked up looking at him, Sol didn't trust this new guy. He had to be up to something, rider didn't seem to like him and girl didn't either, well at least at one point. Sol made sure new guy didn't do anything funny till rider came back, now that he's here he can watch him.
As Hal stepped out he heard Elesia say something about not riding backsies. He gave her a funny look as he began to speak "I... Kinda think you have to ride 'backsies'. You don't seem to know how to ride Sol." Hal didn't want to say it but even he barely knew how to. He shifted his focus to Abel, it does look like he's coming along even with how much Hal would rather not. He sighed under his breath "I have things to do in a town south east from here. It took us a few hours to get here walking with Sol, Elesia and I are going to fly most if not all of the way there. We should be wrapping up there by time you get there."
He hoped they'd be done and gone long before Abel got there, but the question of where would they go popped up in his mind, they'll just figure it out when they get there. Hal mounted Sol and helped Elesia on behind him. Sol took a few steps before expanding his wings and began to run, with a single leap Sol pushed high away from the ground flapping his mighty wings and the trio was air born. Hal didn't really feel like talking while they flew, he didn't want the subject to move towards to Abel where he may say something that Elesia may not like. The flight was pretty uneventful, arriving to town Hal had to break possible the worst news even to the man who helped him that his son was dead.
Hal went into the mans home alone and explained to him what they had saw in the town. One of the zombies that was pushing up against the gate matched the description of his son. The man broke down in tears asking to be alone, Hal felt terrible for being the one who had to tell him the news. Exiting the house Hal seemed depressed, looking to Elesia he questioned her on what was next.

She turned on him like a tigress on a lamb, which was for better or for worse a surprisingly apt descriptor. "Did you know that there's totally, like, the tomb of some ancient super king or something nearby?" It all came out in one breath, excitement and glee written across her face like so many vandalized letters. Pausing for a moment to catch her breath, as well as attempt to marshal her scattered thoughts after an afternoon of excitement and a half hour of dedicated information gathering. "I was out gathering information and planning our next adventure like a good girl while you were doing whatever, and it turns out there's totally a haunted graveyard filled with the eternal guardians of a legendary king guy who used to rule this area, like, a bazillion years ago! They say there's treasure in them trees, and by trees I mean rocks, because trees are kind of like rocks I guess?"
Pirouetting in place out of sheer excitement, blissfully oblivious to Hal perhaps not being quite as gleeful as she, Elesia continued without bothering to provide a moment to get a word in edgewise. "The guy I talked to was totally sure that there was so much gold in the tomb that we would all be rich for a million years, so I think that my giving him five gold to convince him to tell me about it was actually a pretty smart deal on my part - I mean, five gold for, like, fifty mermaidillion? We totally win at maths!" Clapping Hal on the shoulder with abandon, she spun around him, hurling her arms around his shoulders and slamming bodily into his back without the least thought for his comfort. "And Sol totally DIDN'T eat anyone in the meantime. Just a dumb cat or something. Or a baby. Doesn't matter."
Finally... slowly noticing that something was vaguely wrong, the wild mage quieted down a little, not sure what could be wrong or what to do about it, but still struggling to hold in her own excitement out of a dubious attempt at showing some degree of respect for her apparently randomly sad friend. She reconciled the two issues with practiced ease - he'd feel better after some adventuring! "Point is, we can go explore it, get rich, and have fun! And I mean, hey, maybe you'll find out you're like the secret third son five times removed of a mermaid or something. I don't think there are any zombies there though, oddly, at least not like the ones we fought before... maybe even they are scared of the terrible truth! Uh, whatever that is."

Treysin stepped outside the inn, which he was staying in. The air felt nice on his face, but something else was on his mind, home. Every time his mind wandered he’d think back to Badon, with his father. I wonder how he’s doing… It’s been nearly two years. He thought. And who are these Hal and Elesia? The town’s been talking about them like there some kind of heroes. He continued to think.
After a few minutes of wandering aimlessly about town, gathering various leads and information about them he found the square where he sat down to catch his breath. “This… was harder than I thought.” He whispered to himself and got up. And without looking he bumped into what seemed like a wall. Looking up Treysin backed up, tense up at the sight of Sol. Treysin soon opened his eyes; both he and the wyvern were still there staring at one another. Peaking around the dragon, the young mage noticed two people who just happened to be Hal and Elesia. “Sorry about that.” He said apologizing to the two of them with a quick head bow, “I should have been paying attention. By the way, you haven’t happened to see a man named Hal, and a woman named Elesia, have you?”
Treysin was shocked however when the two of them introduced themselves as the two. Treysin of course believed them. Regardless if they were lying or not, and with a small bow he introduced himself. “I’m sorry, I just got here and I kinda want to what happened,” Treysin started, “Oh, where are my manners? I’m Treysin Gallows. But my friends call me Trey for short.” Treysin looked at the two with a smile, underneath that, however, a myriad of questions he wanted answered rose up. He slowly held out his hand to the strangers he had just met as a friendly gesture.

As Elesia had spoke of the tomb Hal only thought they were done with the spooky stuff. He couldn't just say no, who could say no to a girl that excited about it. Hal had let out an audible sigh when she said she paid somebody 5 gold for information, they didn't have much to begin with and she's handing it out like that? Sure they can get away with receiving 'gifts' here but it wouldn't carry over to other towns. The way Elesia eats, they're going to have to save as much as they possibly can and she thinks they'll find something of value in that tombstone. If there was anything of the sort other looters would have taken it by now.
"I don't think I have any relation to them. I come from a simple family in Bern, also what's a 'Mermaid'?" Then some boy approached the two and asked if they were the ones everybody in town was talking about, oh great now somebody is going to bug them for something. Hal really wished they had ran when those damned things wondered into town.
Hal gave him a nod, maybe it would have been wise to lie to him but something told Hal Elesia would say something even if he died attempt to lie. At any rate he didn't know who this person was or what they wanted, stepping between him and Elesia and took his hand shaking it, Hal put a tight grip on his hand hoping it would make him appear stronger than he really was. "We don't plan on being in town for long, we're waiting to meet up with a friend then we have other things to do." Hal couldn't believe he referred to Abel as a friend...

Treysin’s smile quickly faded, and with a small shake he retracted his arm. it was clear something else was bothering Hal. “I’m sorry,” He said with a sigh, “I was being too brash. Hey, I heard a rumor about some tomb not too far from here. Your welcome to come with me if we’re headed the same direction. But I doubt there’s anything in it, looters would have gotten it by now.” It wasn’t clear that the tomb Treysin was talking about was the very same one, but there was a good reason to believe so. However Hal remained silent. Treysin looked at Elesia afterwards, something about her seemed off. She seemed too ecstatic, for some reason. Treysin did not go on to ask her why, yet he turned to Hal again. “Your cousin… She’s pretty weird.” He whispered to him, “She seems pretty bubbly.”
Treysin shrugged then went off his way, but he didn’t go far, rather he decided to spy on them for a little before heading out to the spot of rumors. Some time went by and Treysin noticed that they hadn’t moved just yet. “Why are they still there? What are they waiting for?” He pondered mentally, “Wait Hal said he was waiting on someone. *Sigh* I wonder what I should do…” After a little longer his mind began to wander and he thought about his home once again, but he quickly snapped out as he reached for his money pouch. He remembered that he had spent the rest of his money on the inn last night. What could he do? He didn’t want to give himself away, though it probably was already obvious that he was there, because of Sol. And he didn’t know what to do. His plans were to head out to the tomb and hopefully strike it rich. Or he could gamble it off in hopes of winning, but luck wasn’t really ever with him when he did gamble with his father. So he went down the alleyway and back around back towards Hal and Elesia. Treysin stopped about a dozen feet away, he felt bad to ask for money he knew that he might not be able to pay back and he stood there for another good while combating his needs and feelings.
After he finally started to move his leg buckled on him, he had been standing there long enough, and probably looked stupid as well. He fell on the ground and as he did his Fire tome had flew from its place under his cloak. “Ok… ouch…” Those were the first two words he said and that had apparently caught the attention of the other two. He scrambled to his tome, with one leg asleep, and had to kneel down to pick it up. He was going to have a hard time explaining this one to them. I probably wasn’t the first time they had seen a mage, but Treysin had to assume it was.

"Nuh HUH!" Flouncing over to the weird new guy and Hal from her careful inspection of a ladybug on a nearby flower, Elesia tossed her hair flippantly while staring at Treysin, as though daring him to argue with her. "We're TOTALLY going to find all of the treasure, and I bet it's still there, too! You should be more opsitimatic... optomantic... opsmistatronic..." God dammit it was so much easier to read words than pronounce them sometimes, and she had been trying to impress Hal with her vocabulary, too! "...Thinking good about things that could happen." And why was Hal being depressing again?
Not really bothering with plebeian silliness like actually segueing, or even really making any effort whatsoever to alert anyone that she had changed targets, Elesia continued on to Hal. "And mermaids are, like... fish ladies or something. I think. Obviously not as cool as bear ladies, but I guess they do fish things instead?" Actually, what DID mermaids do? She had read about them once, and it had seemed a great way to show Hal that she totally knew about all kinds of things, but mermaids were... weird. And why would anyone WANT to be half fish?
"Anyways, I have it on good authority-" She didn't. "-That there might be treasure and stuff in the tomb, and it's totally haunted which means like TWICE the treasure, I'm pretty sure there's some rule about dungeons and... wyverns, I guess, where the challenge level of an adventure is directly proportionationaliffic-" That was... exactly how it was pronounced... right? "-To how awesome the stuff you get from it is. Since me and Hal are, like, way good at killing dead people, I figure we can totally take them out and get rich from it!"
Finally pausing to take a breath, Elesia glowered at the new guy with a dour expression. "And I'm not weird, and you suck."

Before Hal could respond correcting the boy that Elesia isn't his cousin he ran off. He had also talked about the tomb, why did evevrybody focus on the creepy stuff all of a sudden? All Hal wanted to do was fly around ontop of Sol with Elesia, he had dreamed of the day he would have his own wyvern and do that all day but when he finally got one everybody else had other plans for Hal. "I think you made up the mermaid and bear-lady stuff, they both sound too weird to be real." Admittedly with all the crazy things Hal saw in the past week they could be very real. Suddenly that Treysin guy popped out of nowhere falling to the group, then Elesia yelled at him about not being weird and him sucking.
When Destiny, his little sister, would act like that he would slap her across the bottom scolding her not to be rude to others. Sure Elesia acted like her at times but he thought punishing her in the same manner wouldn't work. And it would come off as creepy, instead he opted for a nudge with his elbow mumbling Elesia's name angerly. Before Trey scooped up his book he saw the cover, it sorta looked like the one he took for Elesia yesturday. Was he able to congure fire like Elesia too? The only thing Hal had in common with Elesia was they killed zombies together, maybe it would be good for her to have a friend she had a commen interest with. "After Elesia and me eat maybe you could join us in looking at some ruins?" Hopefully Trey isn't another Abel, speaking of which they were still waiting on him to make it to town. Hal hoped they will leave before he rejoins them.

Treysin patted himself off as he drew his arm under his cloak, and smiled slightly. “Sounds good, it would be my pleasure.” Treysin replied to Hal then turned to Elesia, “And your right. I do need to be more optimistic and sorry if I said anything to offend you, I didn’t mean to.” Treysin closedhis eyes afterwards as if he was concentrating on something else. “You said that there was the undead in that tomb Elesia?” Treysin asked as his smilefaded, “I’ve heard stories from my teacher about them but I didn’t know they actually existed. To tell the truth, I haven’t really had any fighting experience.”He then shook his head and smiled again. “I’m going to try and find out what I can find out about this tomb.” He said calmly, and stared to walk away from the two to gather information, “We can meet by the gate when you’re done or something.” Treysin stopped when he was a block away from the two and sat on a nearby bench to think. “The living dead?” he wondered, pondering all possibilities, “I wonder what she met by those two being experienced… WellI should get ready.” Soon Treysin began to question the town, but each gave the same story he had heard from the inn. Soon his stomach began to growl uncontrolably, so he proceeded towards the place he planned on staying at after searching the ruins. He felt his pouch; he had a little more than enough to pay for food, but not enough tostay the night. He slipped in quietly and sat at a table by himself then opened his fire tome and began to read as a waitress came to him. Of course he had read thought the tome several times, but he wasn’t actually reading rather survey the inn. He put his book down to order then continued to read.

Abel wasn't very happy about walking for several hours in a general direction, toward a town he had never been to. I guess it is giving me time to think, he thought as he continued to walk. He had been mulling over this and several other things as the hours had passed. He shook his head. Anyways, I’ve already decided it’s not a big deal. Though I wonder where they plan on going next. His mind wandered, he was tired from his fight earlier and the long walk he was enduring now. I hope I get there soon, I still need to get my sword fixed. And then he looked up. Finally, Abel thought witha sigh of relief. Now to find Elesia and Hal and get my sword fixed. He walked his rugged looking self through town, looking for any sign of his friends or a blacksmith. He came across the inn and took note of it as he passed by. And there was the black smithy. “Excuse me sir,” Abel called out to the man working the fires. He closed the distance as the man found a stopping point. “Could you take a look at my blade? I think it needs reforged.” He took his sword out and held it out. “Hmmm,” the smith said, taking the blade and looking at it. “Yes,I suppose it does. I can reforge it, for a price. Come back in a few hours, I’ve little to do around here and it’s not everyday I get to work on weaponry.” “Thank you,” Abel said as the man turned away. He then headed for the inn he had passed earlier. Maybe I can catch Elesia and Hal at the inn.

"What?" Mumbling back at Hal aspishly, Elesia speared him with a dirty glance before tossing her hair and flouncing back a step, completely clueless as to why he looked so annoyed but having too much trouble juggling two conversations at once to worry about it overmuch. He'd get over it. Probably. That new guy was maybe not so bad, too! He was being nice and admitting that he was totally wrong and she was totally right, which was more important to her than the actual act of apologizing ever would be. Scrunching up her face further for an instant in deep thought, Elesia burst into a bright smile in the aftermath, pirouetting in place before latching on to Hal with the force of a thousand bear hugs.
Thieving bears, apparently, given that by the time Hurricane Elesia detached from her victim, having spun him around for good measure once or twice, she was one wallet richer. Still grinning like a lunatic, the amoral mage spun to face Treysin, hiding the pilfered property behind her back with an eccentric combination of practiced ease and saucy challenge for anyone who dared to call her on her little act. "Don't worry, Hal and me are REALLY good at accidentally getting into fights with evil dead dumb dead tough people trying to eat us!"
Yeah, that would definitely impress him! "And, um," A hint of hesitation, before reinforcing the fact that Hal was still there into her mind, "You can come with us, yuh! But for now FOOOOOOOOD" and without bothering to punctuate the end of her siren song of stupidity, Elesia darted in the general direction of the inn she had met Hal at, certain that he would piece together the obvious(?) clues and know exactly where she had gone.
Bursting into the lobby within minutes with the grace of a raging bear - albeit a surprisingly graceful one given that she landed with a quiet thump on bare feet, spun in place, and walked to the counter in silence - Elesia graced the lady at the back of the room with a more confident smile than she had been able to muster before; she remembered this place, remembered getting really good food here, and now she had even MORE shinies to get it with! "Um, that... meat... stuff I got the other time I was here!" Pointing for the woman's benefit, the mage paused, frowned, then brightened up as she remembered something. "Two of them! ...No, um, more. Three. Hal is probably gonna want some food too when he gets here and he's going to want his [mumble] back..."
Karen looked at her with ill-disguised confusion, but managed to overcome her reaction thanks to the glimmer of gold lying in Elesia's grubby mitts. "...Of course, dear."
Awwwww yeahhhh, chow time!

This was the first time Elesia and Hal hugged, sure they embraced each other before but it was more of a comfort hug. He began to blush as her arms wrapped around him, it was a good thing Elesia didn't notice because she darted off in the direction of the inn. Taking a look back to Sol he told him to sit tight and took off after Elesia. Once he was outside of the door he looked around, this was the place where the duo first met, and where his life took a turn into pure chaos. Opening the door he looked around for Elesia, he spotted a familiar face, Abel, but he didn't want to join him just yet he wanted a quite meal with Elesia. Well, as quite as quite can be with Elesia.
Sitting next to her a numerous things popped up in his head, it went from is this kinda like a date, just a meal with a friend, it's like eating out with his younger sister and a few other things. "Ha ha... Yo-you're excited to eat aren't you?" Oh god(s) why was he nervous all of a sudden? "You know, if we are lucky this time in a few days we can afford to eat all the time" Hal smiled at Elesia, at this time Karen had returned to where they sat with three plates. Why was there food for three when there was two of them? Was she expecting somebody else to join them, or she did she meet somebody else and the stepped away for a few minutes when Hal showed up? Now Hal was worried, would she run off with him and leave Hal alone with only Sol as company. Even if he had known her for such a short time he didn't want to lose his closest friend. "How were you able to pay for all of this?"

Treysin looked up from his book again, to his astonishment there he saw Hal and Elesia. He wanted to go to talk to them, but decided it would be best to leave them alone for now and let them be. But what got him was why there was three things of meat on their table. For their travels mayhaps? The idea was mind boggling to him. He let go of the idea as his food was served to him, and as reading became eating he forgot of the idea.
Once he finished he tucked his fire spell away, and walked up to the counter. Trying to make sure that Hal and Elesia would not see him, but stopped for one more glass of water. As he was served Treysin glanced over to Hal and Elesia a few times then looked around. I wonder how long they'll be there? He wondered in his head, while he still tried to figure out why she had bought three thing. After he finished that glass he turned around with a sigh and muttered, "It's time to head out on an adventure... I hope that they are as good as Elesia said they are."

Abel was eyeing the strange guy in robes when Hal came in. He caught the wyvern rider's eye for a moment as he crossed the room to sit with Elesia. Abel had seen Elesia earlier but had decided he wasn't mentally prepared to be near her. So he sat at his table and continued to stare at the other man in the room.
Seems like he keeps glancing toward those two, Abel thought. Could he be an enemy? He thought a moment before silently chuckling to himself. No, he's probably just staring at Elesia. His food came and he thanked the lady and paid.
As Abel ate, he mulled over the things that had happened over the last day. Particularly regarding his father. Why did he give me the sword? he questioned, taking the sword, sheathe and all, from his back. He placed it on the table before him.
Why would I need this? Where did he get this? Does this mean…? A tear streaked down his face as the realization hit him. So he is gone. Abel wiped the tear off with his thumb. I wonder if He knows. I doubt He’s even been back since leaving. Abel sighed before continuing to eat, thinking about what he had lost and what he had gained.

Treysin had not noticed the man whom spied on him. Rather he took a few more moments and proceeded towards the exit, and just before leaving he turned around one last time, not to check on Hal and Elesia, but rather as one last remembrance of this place. Then he exited and began to move towards the meeting spot where Hal had told him to wait. But as he did he began to wonder once again. This time rather then wondering about family he thought about the tomb. Pictures of rotting corpses, and giant monster plague his mind. "Scary..." He whispered to himself as a chill ran up this spine, "Man I hope that we don't encounter anything."
Treysin waited there at the meeting point for a few minutes then began to wander off once again. Some one's got to know about this stupid tomb. He thought wandering thought the streets, eventually he stopped again to collect his thoughts, which made him think about how Hal and Elesia knew about it. After all he over heard her from in the inn. Then it came back to him, Hal had said that they were waiting on a friend, maybe he knew about it? He mulled over the topic then dismissed it as he wandered back to the meeting place, and planted himself firmly there, making sure he was ready to go. But as he sat there boredom clamed him and began to fiddle around with his magic, but making sure it wasn't putting himself, or anyone who approached him, in danger.

"Food!" Had her smile been any wider, it might well have split her head in half; Elesia was in her element, gleefully devouring everything on her plate like a proper bear while suspiciously eyeing Hal's plate with all the subtlety of a raging rhinocerous. The third plate lay lonely for the moment - who had she gotten that for, again? The temptation to just eat it was rapidly mounting...
She blinked, realizing that conversations required input from both participants. "Um... yeah! I like eating. And being able to eat. It's better than being hungry." Oh yes that would impress Hal with her deep insights. She grimaced, partially because it turned out there was actually a limit on how much meat she could stuff in her mouth and partially because of any conversational inadequacies, but waved her hand in a gesture that... could be taken dismissively, or as an attempt to point something out, or as the beginnings of an epileptic seizure.
Swallowing down more food at once than any human throat should be capable of, the emerald mage paused to look blankly at Hal before continuing. "Peoples have been giving me money for some reason. It's weird. 'Oh you saved my son please take our life savings' and stuff? I don't want their lives or their savings, but they give me money anyways. So I guess it works out. None of them give me magic books though..." Shrugging off the soulcrushing horror of a world in which people didn't give her everything she wanted, something struck like a bolt from the blue, eliciting a look of vaguely disoriented surprise and petulant glee at having remembered at all combined. "Oh! Right. And you let me borrow your money thing. Friends don't let friends... uh, something something. Thanks!"
Tossing the folded bit of an unknown material back at him, Elesia grinned like the cat that got the cream; she had already put back in more of the golden stuff that people had used for money back in it than she had taken out, but she was sure that he would be proud of her for remembering to give it to him anyways. It was like a present! "And the other foods are for whoever gets hungry. Or that green not-zombie guy. I didn't really plan this out. ...You gonna eat that or can I?"
