Nodding his head at Mana's idea, he stood from his seat, just about as ready to fight as anyone else. He was beginning to think the army should take off a little earlier than planned. If something happened, none of the undead would slip through to attack a nearly defenseless village. They'd be out where they wanted them without any distractions, however they wouldn't likely listen to the advice of an outsider, so the laconic swordsman decided to just go with the flow. He was just here to help out after all. And above all else, this guild here battled against these foes before, so it'd be best to learn a thing or two in case he had to fight any risen dead again in the future. Laus was the only place he actually heard about that had a zombie problem, so he didn't know how frequent encounters like that would be, if at all.
But he did say he was going to try and come down here as often as he could to help fend off the monsters, so it was once again an opportunity for him to get familiar with taking them on. He looked towards the group as he nodded his head once more. Well, he wasn't entirely used to working with more than three people at best, however it was at least a chance at getting even better at teamwork. He seemed to lack that considering his lone wolf complex, however his time with his friends improved that, so at least he was competent enough in working together.
"Right. Not a moment to spare." He spoke in a tone contradictory to his words, maintaining his composure despite the fact that they really should meet up with the whole group before it may be too late. However, he didn't need to waste his energy on getting worked up before the fight even started.

The army of 300 men departed to the north after they finished the preparation, they were mostly mercenaries, militias, Lycia knights, or volunteers with only half of the army were the full members of the guild. They were determined and brave people who risked their lives to protect people from the undeads. But no matter how strong they were, this wouldn't be an easy battle for sure because the enemies weren't something they could face with common sense. They would join their comrades who had been dispatched first to lure the enemies to an abandoned farmland where the city defenders planned to engage them. The scouts reported that the undeads had been marching slowly toward the city, at least it seemed those zombies were in no rush.
When they finally arrived in the designated place, the commander put them in a standard formation. The volunteers and mercenaries were integrated into the army, positioned behind the vanguard of heavy-armored knights. The riders were put on the flanks and the archers and mages lined up behind. There was also a portion of the army hid in the forest nearby to outflank the undeads, although ambush had probably zero physiological effect to enemies who felt no fear didn't mean it would be completely ineffective.
Mana felt uneasy for some reason. She had a feeling this battle wouldn't end well. But there was no use feeling down before the battle even began so she told herself to be more optimistic. The swordswoman glanced at her companions, trying to guess what they were feeling right now. "Say...I feel creepy standing here and waiting for zombies to come to us. I mean...I never fought a dead man before but this is a horde who coming toward us. Surely it could be a little intimidating, hmm?" she said to Veigue. The fellow Sacaen swordsman was a composed and quiet type so Mana assumed he felt ready to face the incoming undeads without hesitation. "These people aren't hesitated, though. Maybe because they experience things like this everyday. It's their job, or mission, after all. Now I see why the townspeople respect them."

Well, it was going to get some adjusting to get used to this whole army thing. While it offered the experience of fighting against foes he's never fought against and helped with his fighting style, he was beginning to feel a little claustrophobic despite not being so. But he was able to calm his nerve so it wouldn't show. He had the ability of adaptation as most Sacaeans did, so when the fighting began, he would be able to cast such thoughts aside. However, the horde of undead must have been larger than he expected if they needed this many people to eradicate them. This was going to be a long and bloody battle, he could tell. He wasn't exactly sure if all of them were mentally prepared as they were physically, however...he had no one else's feelings. He'd just have to keep an extra eye out for anyone who needed help. Possibly fighting risen children wouldn't rest well on anyone's conscience.
Veigue just remained where he stood, his arms crossed as the fighting could start any moment...and he was prepared for it. He didn't allow any sort of over thinking cloud his mind, as he had to do what he had to do in order to protect the people back there. And this was for to set those who's eternal slumber was disturbed free again. No one deserved to be pulled back into this realm with the misery of losing most, if not all of their sanity while forced to drag themselves around aimlessly. Anyone could call him crazy for sympathizing with undead that are killing people, but the truth of the matter was that it wasn't the undead's fault. It's the sick bastard responsible for Laus being like this.
When Mana spoke up, he listened to her while holding off on his response for a couple of seconds. He couldn't blame her for feeling that way, really. This wasn't some everyday stuff right here. Logically, Veigue should be feeling the same...but he wasn't. Did that make him a bad person? Who knows. He didn't have the answer to that. He just wanted to remain calm so when something happened, he'd be in a clear state of mind to handle it smoothly. Looking to Mana now, a small smile crossed his features. "It's perfectly normal to feel that way. Indeed, this guild is brave. It must take a great deal of fortitude and experience fighting the undead for so long that speaks for their lack of hesitation." He looked forward now, but still speaking. "We'll be all right, though. As long as we stick together and keep a clear mind, we can react to almost any situation in this fight. That, and I'm interested in seeing your bladework. You appear impressively skilled, so I might learn a thing or two when we fight alongside each other."

Mana was weak against praise and flattery. Veigue probably just spoke honestly about what he felt from watching her but it gave out a nice reaction from the Sacaen girl. "Skilled? Oh...thanks, I guess. I still have much to learn but I wil it give my best to. Funny, though. I was actually thinking the same about you. I can't wait to watch your swordplay, Veigue." Although she didn't show it clearly Mana was completely happy and flattered, she even almost grinned stupidly when he commented about her skill.
Their conversation was disturbed by the sound of the battle horn, which signalled that the enemies was drawing near. Sound of weapons being unsheathed and the lines being reorganized marked the beginning of their skirmish. "Uh-oh...It seems we don't have time to chat," she grumbled as she drew Falcatta out of the sheath. It seemed Mana failed to notice that the enemies was already close enough because she was enjoy their conversation too much. It was quite a terrying sight, hundreds of undeads walked straight toward the army who was outnumbered 3 to 1. Some of the fighters turned to the commander or the captains, who had very little change in their expression. While the scene before them was indeed intimidating, they were already used to face the walking corpses in numerous battles so this was just like everyday meal for them.
Mana furrowed her brows as she watched the walking corpses heading toward the army. Like what they had been told before, the undeads came toward them in slow pace. Slow maybe, the sight of many undeads might have greater impact to morale than hundreds fast horsemen. The didn't even stop or flinch when arrows and magic attacks hit them unless the arrow hit the head or the magic had light attribute. The vanguard then engage them in close combat, shortly followed by the second line where Mana and Veigue were. "Alright, Veigue! We will definitely survive this battle! I think I would like to have meal with you after this, but of course without having to fight living corpses after that. Okay?" The battle might have been started but Mana somehow found some time to talk leisurely to her Sacaen comrade before turning on her "battle mode".
Despite her talk about being intimidated, the girl was one of the people who charged bravely. Her first kill was an easy one. The slow undead couldn't stop her blade from dismembering it head. It surely felt strange killing someone who was already dead but the adrenaline won out and helped her to focus. But then Mana made a mistake. Her second opponent was a corpse of a child, bringing hesitation in her slash. Her blade failed to "kill" the undead, leaving a big opening for her opponent to attack the swordswoman. Mana was pounced by the undead as she desperately prevented it from biting her.

Hadrian watched the army gather before the horde of the undead. The tension in the air was palpable, a tension that transcended fear and inspired courage. Right now, any member in that army could become a hero and save the day. Hadrian touched his staff against the young girl's forehead, healing the gash she had received when she was running from the undead. "Get back to the village, you'll be safe there." Hadrian whispered, pushing the girl in the direction of the small town. He then turned his attention back to the battle.
The undead were advancing, and the troupe of mercenaries were holding their ground. Hadrian estimated the odds to be at roughly 3 to 1. Mostly swordsmen and knights it seemed, with few magic users amongst their ranks. I'd best make myself known to them, then... he thought, but before he could do a thing a girl from the mercenaries ran out and challenged an undead warrior head on, destroying it in a single blow. The rest of the army didn't follow her, only a few other people with the same intent and reckless attitude.
Slowly stepping down the hill, Hadrian walked towards the battlefield, exchanging his staff for his tome. He was a Bishop, and killing the Undead was his speciality, after healing the Living, of course. Flipping open his tome to the first page, he held out his hand, pointing it at a group of Undead soldiers. At once, a beam of light shot from his hand, slamming straight into the first soldier. The thing about Bishops was though, that their magic was particularly effective against monsters like this.
The bolt of light incinerated the skull of the first Undead soldier it hit, killing it instantly. However, it continued on, striking the second soldier and knocking it back into its comrades. The Light magic was particularly effective. Perhaps the mercenary army had noticed him by now, perhaps they hadn't. Hadrian didn't care either way, as long as they helped him protect the town of Laus.

He couldn't tell if Mana was reversing his compliments towards him or not, but he just allowed a simple smile and a nod of his head. The whole point of him going off alone temporarily was to find what he was missing. He may have been more skilled than the average fighter, but he didn't really know what that meant yet. And...seemed like the battle that closed in might hold the answers he sought. His fellow sacaean was correct that there wasn't time for anymore chatter, once again nodding at her last remark and smirking as he gripped the sheath of his blade. "You've got it." And then she and a few others rushed off. Well, Mana was definitely a lot more brave than she let on, unless she was fighting her hesitation head-on. It was admirable, but he needed to keep step to make sure nothing happened to her and those who charged off, hitting a sprint himself closely behind.
They said these undead tend to pick up weapons they find lying on the ground, so he wasn't surprised by the random walking corpse that held a sword in his arm. Probably from someone he killed. The slow, resurrected human creep towards him, Veigue needing to take advantage of his opponent's weak mobility to end it quickly. The head...it was their weak point. He made sure to remember that well. With a final burst of speed, he confronted his undead opponent as it swung the sword of steel at him. Veigue unleashed his blade from the sheath the moment he removed it from his belt, keeping the sheath in his left hand while parrying the zombie's attack. The dead man's sword flung out of his hand with the fierce attack and with a quick vertical slash from Veigue's sword, the undead was decapitated where he stood.
"Damn..." He cursed under his breath as he then realized Mana got tackled by one...a kid, at that. While he felt like she could handle the child on her own, it was just difficult for Veigue to turn a blind eye to someone even if they had the power to save themselves. Rushing over as quickly as he could, he approached the two, but kept behind the undead child that was trying it's best to gnaw at the swordswoman. The muscles tightened in his left arm as he swung his sheath as hard as he could, the makeshift weapon of his smacking the child upside the head and sending it away from Mana. Not only did he resort using the sheath, but he didn't want to risk his blade slicing through the child and cutting Mana too. That was painful enough hurting the kid knowing it was going to continue living from the blow to the head. However, he had to consider the possibilities of killing the child while it was still on his ally.
Watching the undead child struggling to rise from his attack, he made a slight frown. He wanted to put the child out of their misery, shutting his eyes only for a second to calm his nerves before rushing over and sending his blade's edge downward, aimed for the back of their neck as he severed the head from the body. That left a bad taste in his mouth, but he had no other choice. It was either that, or let the child suffer longer by being here. He walked backwards towards Mana as more undead were slowly approaching. "You okay?" He asked before realizing from a distance that a newcomer had appeared on the battlefield. It seemed like a light magic user. Well, he was too far away to help the guy out, but he seemed like he had himself under control for now. Chances are, they'd end up fighting side by side soon enough anyway, so he needed to focus on the fight around him.

"Veigue! How could y.....Ah, sorry...." Mana almost yelled to him for hitting the zombie child. The swordswoman seemed to have difficulty believing what just happened. She had been warned about it but her kindness had produced hesitation in her attack. Maybe she would have been bitten to death if Veigue didn't help her. "It seems I still see them as humans. Should have done better, really." Mana got up and put her back against Veigue's, letting them protect each other's back and minimizing the blind spot.
Mana then spotted a newcomer. He didn't come with the army, probably a traveler who wanted to help. It was good to have more ally, especially a light magic user like him. "Hey Veigue. I think we should help that guy. A couple of those monsters are heading toward him." The Sacaen swordswoman believed Hadrian could fend off the undeads by himself but more undeads were approaching him, maybe because they saw his magic as threat? "Hey you there with brown hairs! Yes, you! Join us here! It's better to fight together as a group. It gives higher chance to survive, too!" Mana shouted as she tried to head toward Hadrian. Unfortunately, two undeads blocked her path. "Tsk! I take the one in left, you can have the other one, Veigue!"
This time she didn't show hesitation. Mana confidently dodged the first attack and continued with a quick counter as the zombie swung a kitchen knife. His slow motion compared to human opponent made Mana misjudge the timing, she stepped forward a little too soon as the knife scratched her chest. The zombie had worse in this exchange, though, as her blade amputated his right leg. Mana then swirled once and brought up her sword in a diagonal arc, decapitated his head.

Hadrian turned at the sound of the girl's shout. Her friend had dealt with the young undead warrior, and now she was beckoning him to join their small group. Hadrian didn't even attempt to shout back, but he knew that his own frail voice would never reach them over the raucous warriors. However, he needed to move quickly, there was quite a large group of undead moving towards him, but another group separated him from the young swordswoman and her colleague. Hadrian winced when he saw the knife slice across the chest of the swordswoman, slicing through her thin coat and grazing her chest.
Flipping open his tome again, he flicked his right hand in the direction of the undead. At once, a wave of force emanated from his hand, sending the warriors crashing into each other. The magic was particularly effective thanks to his skill as a Bishop, and it cleared the path between him and the pair of mercenaries, but it didn't fully eradicate them. Quickly making his way over, Hadrian sent out another bolt of light in their direction, eradicating another one of them. He didn't falter in the delivery of his magic, these people were beyond help, and their deaths here were saving hundreds of others in Laus.
When he reached the two mercenaries, he immediately reached for his healing staff, and pointed it at the young swordswoman, healing the wound she received from the knife, and the scratch marks from the other undead child. "Sorry that I couldn't do anything about the coat." he said, his frail voice barely audible over the clash of blades and the moans of the dead. Clipping his staff back onto his belt, he pulled out his Light tome again. Turning back to the undead, he readied himself for the next onslaught. "My name's Hadrian. Who are ye?"

Veigue shook his head as he still focused on the battle, but had time to consider Mana's words. It really was a cold thing for him to mercilessly kill the undead child like that...it still left a bad taste in his mouth. However, he was already mentally prepared to dirty his hands here. After all, he's killed people in the past who were still alive...and the fact that he even killed his old childhood...well, they were sworn enemies from beginning to end and couldn't call him a friend, but Zarius didn't deserve a death like that. However, his mind was just trailing off with his past sins now. He had more important things to deal with. "...It's a normal feeling to have. They technically are still people. But all we can do for them now is give them a quick, merciful end. Otherwise, they'll continue to suffer while living again." His tone was low, but it still held collection in it.
When Mana shouted out to the Bishop from the distance, he nodded his head as he rushed alongside her. He watched the event unfold with Mana's opponent before she killed it, and he was going to head straight for the one on the right until the Bishop did the honors for him. From how he watched the man rid himself of the undead, Iadra wasn't kidding earlier about light magic being super effective against them. And the guy was a healer on top of that, so that at least simplified things further. They needed all the help they could get while out here. Even Veigue wasn't crazy enough to go lone wolf here of all places.
When Hadrian introduced himself, Veigue realized that they still didn't have much time for idle chat, so he kept his sword ready and got back into battle stance as he stood beside the two. "The name's Veigue. I appreciate the help, Hadrian." He was quick with his introduction, but he had to be in case one of the undead attacked any of them. His thoughts fell on Kenji, his family sword that was sheathed on the opposite side of his belt. If he used it here, he'd fight against these undead much more efficiently, but...he still wasn't worthy of the blade yet. Lena said he'd feel when the time was right to use it...and right now, he didn't feel anything. His normal sword was doing just fine anyway, so he'd just have to manage. Maybe this battle would push him over the edge and force himself to be more skilled for worthiness? Who knows. He didn't even know how good he was currently.

Healing magic always gave her weird but pleasant feeling. The Sacaen girl closed her eyes as the energy from his staff engulfed her body and ran through her veins. After he was finished, she took a moment to check her healed wound, rubbing the spot that had been scratched. "Mana of Hawkeye tribe. Just call me Mana! Thanks for that, Hadrian. It doesn't even leave a scar." Although they were mostly minor injuries, having them removed was very nice.
Compared to the mindless corpses, the defenders formed a strong defense line, supported by magic and arrows from the backline. The defenders eventually gained advantage over the undead horde. Although it would be too soon to say they would win this battle, they could be confident that their side had a good chance of winning. The horde was hardly organized, those unfortunate souls just moved randomly and swarmed the nearest prey. With tactic and expertise of the Silver Cross, combined with tenacity and might of the volunteers and the mercenaries, the undeads fell one after another.
"Alright! Now I am going to rampage!" she shouted. Mana smiled to her comrades before rushing to the nearest undead, who had just slayed a knight by stabbing him in stomach. This one was a grown man and he brought a sword but as expected from most walking corpses his movement was dull. However, the young Sacaen knew she shouldn't underestimate her opponent. These abominations didn't feel fear and pain like normal person so their attack was always daring. Attacking while unprepared might end with both parties exchanging deadly blows, which give advantage to the undead. Mana chose to play safe this time. She lured the undead to attack first then dodged to the side. She launched two consecutive slashes that successfully slayed him. The first one cut his arm and the next attack chopped his head.

"Pleased to meet ye, Mana and Veigue. I presume ye're with the Silver Cross?" Hadrian appreciate the efforts of the guild formed to fight the undead hordes in Laus, but distanced himself from it. His time in the Church proved to him that any organisation, when large enough, was susceptible to corruption, no matter how pure their motives were. And anyway, he could not bring himself to work with the less savoury members of the organisation, those who only fought in order to pillage the resulting villages. The dead weren't smart, but the people were, they knew what was worth taking. Hadrian had protected many an evacuated village from these selfish members of the guild.
But his mind was wandering, and a wandering mind on the battlefield gets slain quite quickly. Turning his attention back to his two new companions, he was just in time to catch Mana saying: "Alright! Now I am going to rampage!" The shout surprised Hadrian, who immediately responded with a weak: "I'm not sure that's too..." but she was already gone. "...wise." he finished, casting an exasperated glance back at Veigue. All these swordspeople were so... eager to get themselves in the middle of the fray.
Hadrian watched, impressed, as Mana killed another undead soldier, this time without sustaining an injury. However, as she decapitated it, another one wielding a lance decided to take advantage of the opening, stabbing at her now unguarded side. Hadrian was quick off the mark, however. With a flick of his wrist, a bolt of light shot at the lance-wielding undead, striking him through the point where his Adam's Apple once was. On a normal person, this may have only pierced through, lethal for a person but only an annoyance for the undead. But Hadrian was a Bishop, slayer of the unholy.
The undead's neck was completely obliterated, his head rolling to the side, and his body slumping to the ground, the lance falling with it. Only then did Hadrian realise how close the bolt was to Mana. In fact, it may have singed a few hairs as it passed by her. Hadrian cast her an apologetic glance. Light magic was deadly when wielded poorly, such mistakes from Hadrian might not have such mundane consequences next time, he resolved to be more careful.

The laconic swordsman merely stood by as Mana bravely charged off before Hadrian could get his words of advice out, looking back to the bishop almost the same time his new ally did. He still didn't say anything, but he shrugged his shoulders with a slight smirk on his face. Mana did seem to rush on ahead, but it seemed like her skill with the blade was more than enough to keep that from being a weakness. He could admire it to an extent to be able to allow your sword to not only fight for you, but protect you from all angles. Granted, that as something that should be an obvious lesson, but some things required to be pointed out to you...otherwise you won't catch on. Huh...guess he really was learning some stuff in this fight, as chaotic as it is. But Veigue wasn't complaining.
He realized that their defensive were pretty solid now, and the undead was falling a little faster than before. However, he still didn't have a good idea of how many were left. It seemed like they came in giant hordes. It's no wonder Silver Cross needed volunteers. However, before he could think anymore on that subject, he caught the sight of another undead approaching while holding an axe with two hands...the zombie dragging the weapon while it's still on the ground. Great...probably another weapon it picked up from off the ground. But at least it's weak muscles were unable to use the axe with any ease. However, the creeping undead man managed to lift the axe barely enough to swing it forward as hard as he could. Veigue's natural instinct being to dodge it entirely with a large step back worked perfectly as he avoid getting beheaded. If he didn't see the man's arms moving ahead of time, he would have been forced to block it, which there was a high chance he would have been disarmed instead.
When he spotted his opening, the nimble swordsman dashed forward and swung his blade horizontally...just barely missing the neck as the undead moved his body slightly at the worst time possible. Veigue's sword stuck the chest, but he was forced to retract his blade as the attack didn't faze the dead man at all. They weren't kidding about the whole head thing. The undead was ready to swing the looted axe again, Veigue knowing this was bad since he was so close. He opted for a duck to the ground as the axe made another round. His combat instincts kicked in again, performing a leg sweep to clip the undead and send him down on his back. It was now or never, as Veigue sprung back up quickly as he swung his blade on the ground as he severed head from shoulder in a clean motion. That was a close one...

Mana was about to counter the other zombie's assault when a shining bolt crushed the walking corpse. She would have reacted in time but the bishop had been a great help. Unless....she had to make note of the fact that his help "had sacrificed" a few strands of hair. He had to bear getting disapproving look from the annoyed girl. If something had gone wrong that bolt could have hit her. Maybe the effect wouldn't be as great as if it hit undead but surely it still would be painful. "Hey, watch it! But thanks, Hadrian!" she shouted. Mana then turned her focus back to the undeads. "So this is how fighting as an army feels like," she thought. There was a strange sense of security she felt fighting along these people. She had fought together in a group of four or more but it was her first time fighting alongside three hundred comrades. Strange. She didn't know most of them but she felt like to trust them with her back.
The Sacaen swordswoman heard sound of heavy steps and clanking metal coming toward her. Probably from armor, some zombies could hold weapon so maybe they could have one or two pieces of armor as well. So, without hesitation the girl bravely turned around to face any undead. However, the next opponent was...more difficult than the other mindless mob. Mana wasn't afraid, she wouldn't back down, but she had to curse her luck as she saw her next opponent. The one coming toward her was a huge full-armored zombie knight with an old spear. Well, this was a problem. That armor seemed to be quite hard and the difference in size might become a great threat. "Hadrian! Veigue! I need some help here!" she yelled, frustrated.
The zombie growled weakly as he brought down the spear to sweep the girl's leg. Luckily, the attack was quite slow and dull. Mana did a somersault backward to dodge the spear. The range of enemy's weapon was longer than her, who was a sword-user, so she was in an disadvantage if she had to face this zombie alone.

Hadrian waved his hand in apology to Mana, his frail voice wasn't going to carry over the clashing of the two armies and the distance between them. He saw a group of soldiers having a bit of difficulty with a horde of the Undead on their left. Hadrian flicked a hand out from beneath his cloak, exposing the white robes of the Church that he wore beneath them. A wave of force was emitted, strong enough to knock the entire group off balance. With relative ease, the soldiers skewered the Undead through the head with their spears, making short work of the group.
Hadrian walked towards Mana, the forces of the Undead were beginning to thin out. Neither Mana nor Veigue required healing, so Hadrian kept his staff by his side. He was about to speak with Mana, when a resonant clanking sound filled the air. Hadrian turned in horror to the sight of the massive armoured knight approaching them. Without thinking, he flicked his hand at the knight, a bolt of light emerging from him. The light which had killed so many undead without fail collided with the knight, barely leaving a scorch mark on his bloodstained armour. With a roar, it proceeded towards Hadrian, who had only succeeded in aggravating it.
Hadrian dodged the clumsy stab with the spear, but his troubles weren't over. He felt a familiar wave of weakness rush over him. His vision began to swim, and then darken. Hadrian pulled out his staff and used it to support his failing body. He had exerted himself too much. He began to splutter, coughing up small flecks of blood. He tried to stay conscious, he was dimly aware of the knight behind him. He barely managed a weak: "Sorry..." He would be ok once this bout of weakness subsided, but until then he could only rely on the goodwill of Veigue and Mana to help him.

A searing spear of light blasted through the air and collided right into the armored undead, the spell sending him reeling back slightly. Before it could recover another struck it, sending it flat upon it's back. Still living, but deeply injured. That was three separate bursts of holy magic, more then enough to annihilate such a creature even if it wasn't an abomination. Still it squirmed and writhed upon the ground like a worm, it's body weak and unable to lift itself off the ground with the weight of it's steel weighing it down. Lacking the intelligence to get up off it's back, sprawled out like a turtle on it's shell. From Iadra's hands flecks of light lingered and faded as she walked towards the group. Her staff in hand she moved at a brisk pace, trying to get to the down man as quickly as she could. From a distance she couldn't tell what caused him to fall, was it injuries? He looked unharmed, but one could never be sure. Sometimes the deadliest wounds hide underneath our skin.
Two of the people she met earlier were there as well. Mana and Veigue, she had been keeping an eye on them, but she couldn't spare them her entire focus as she had many things to do on this battlefield. She needed to heal the injured and smite the unholy aberrations, but as she glanced at them a moment before she noticed the revenant in steel and the man on his knees. That's when she decided to act, and now she was seeking to heal the fallen man. He wore no weapon on his person, but held a staff similar to hers. He must be a magi, just as she was. A sage perhaps, or even one like herself. "Are you injured?" She looked over him like she was searching for a wound, but saw nothing of the sort. She was confused, but he was clearly in need, so she wasn't going to leave him like that.
